You pay for the beachfront location. The overall standard of cleanliness otherwise is not what we've come to expect from the Sheraton name.

Pros:The food from the restaurants was good quality and fresh. The view to the gulf and the beach was lovely.
Cons:Room was dirty, phone looked like someone had eaten a banana and crackers and then handled it. Walls had things stuck to them. Bathroom was a tiny broom cupboard with no fan or ventilation. HVAC unit was dirty and dusty. Mirror had obviously not been wiped down with finger and hand prints and goo on it. The lobby was full of people standing around drinking and hanging out without masks on (during COVID). Couldn’t order room service or call restaurant or see menu online. Had to go into the restaurants packed with people not wearing masks to order. Only one restaurant was doing takeout (the other you had to sit in a non-distanced, non-decreased capacity indoor space if you wanted food from there). The sandy area that showed beach chairs in the pics had just 50 or so volleyball courts set up and all the lawn chairs were jammed one next to the other on a small grassy patch next to the hotel. Not all all the relaxing and safe beach trip we had been sold by the marketing.

Pros:Beautiful resort, excellent food, relatively close to the beach, and many conveniences at your disposal. The restaurants had marvelous food and service. We were very pleased with the all-you-can eat crab legs and the attentive service that Walter provided. The breakfast buffet had a nice assortment of hot and cold foods. The pool was nice, small but not overcrowded.
Cons:Having made our reservations over 2 weeks in advance, we thought they could have handled our request for a feather-free room and extra pillows. Two of our 4 pillows were feather as was the down comforter. The housekeeper quickly addressed the problem but brought a thin blanket in place of the comforter. The foam pillows had no firmness and collapsed in the middle (see picture). Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable. We were disappointed that the beach chairs and umbrellas were not provided by the resort and cost $35.00 for the day. Another disappointment was with the reservations. When we made our reservations, our room type was "Guest room, 1 King, Gulf side, Poolside, Balcony". When I checked the confirmation email the day of our arrival, the room type read, " Guest room, 1 King, no view, low floor".

Pros:I can not begin to Express how awesome the staff is there. The housekeeping did an outstanding job with cleaning the rooms. The bellhops were so friendly and the front desk staff was incredible. We will without a doubt be coming back to this hotel ever year!
Cons:The one thing that we didnt like traveling with young kids is that we had to pay 5 dollars a night for the crib. We have stayed at way less expensive resorts and higher end resorts and this was the first time we ever had to pay for a crib.

Pros:Everyone at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort was wonderful and accommodating. We were looking for a quiet beach to relax for a couple days, and the huge, sandy beach at this resort was perfect.

Pros:Great location, very quiet and very clean! Outdoor space was beautiful but we only went to the beach (why go to the beach and stay at the pool all day?? I can get in a pool at home). Beach was quiet, no large crowds or nonsense. We loved it!
Cons:Fridge could've been larger but wasn't an issue for us.

Pros:We loved the ocean view and the rooms were nice despite the size. Everything was clean.
Cons:As many others have said, the walk to the beach is a jaunt and the weekend we were visiting there had recently been a storm so the walkway was flooded with two plus feet of water. The beach itself was not altogether delightful- run down and dirty. We spent the weekend at the pool which felt very small and overcrowded. At the snack at we purchased a refillable cup only the find after drinking that there were ants in the soda line so our cup was full of dead and dying ants. Our purchase was not refunded.
