Friendly and competent staff. Nice location. Access to Cork. Good room and nice lounge for relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay. We were a little intrigued that we each got one half slice of white pudding with our Irish breakfast. A first! Excellent hotel. Will visit again and maybe get a full slice of white pudding at breakfast.
our double room consisted of 2 singles togheter, plus matress and pillow's were old an uncomfortable
Very close to the main town of Cobh, as well as being next door to the train station. Very easy to find. Our bed had a huge dip in one side of it. Very springy, not comfortable at all. Our room was right above the restaurant and pub next door, so noise quality was very poor. Also had very difficult time connecting and staying connected to the wifi - somewhat of a hassel.
location. location location!!!!! The bar could be more comfortable, it was more like a diner, sorry!
the views especially and a very good dinner disturbances about 6am from tugs or other boats
lovely views from balcony staff helpful some effort made to compensate for faults found bath had hairs in it cracks in some tiles in bathroom badly finished on bath side panel bad positioning of handrail in bath stains on the carpet given double room when booked twin not much selection on menu, only sirloin steak on menu when advertised as steak and seafood a specialty noisy restaurant
The location is excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Very friendly staff. Excellent food. Really comfortable and welcoming to arrive after a long journey! (Great fire in the reception area!)
The location was excellent in the centre of Cork with easy access to the City centre on foot. We would have appreciated air conditioning as opening the window resulted in traffic noise.
Location Freezing room...radiators on timer no control of the heat
Central location Receptionist did not know where Queenstown was (I know it's now Cobh, but it is less than 10 miles away & there is a well publicised Heritage Centre there. More education on tourist info needed
Good central location in cork with easy access to shops restaurants pubs etc but apart from location a little below average for the price. All and all mediocre at best. No Parking which was a complete nightmare, the hotel does have parking but it is first come first served so when we arrived on friday evening there was none available and no on street available eiter. This meant we ended up paying €20 for parking which I wish we had have put towards a nicer hotel room.
I was not happy to discover that they do not have a car park for guests to park their cars. There is a carpark nextdoor but if you wished to park your car there for the night, there would be a charge of thirty euro which I thought was outrageous.
It was central to all local amenties I thought the breakfast was bad value for money nd to expensive for what was served -
Great location - near the centre, railway station and bus station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice feel to the hotel. Nothing.
Location Stopped serving breakfast at 10.00 am
It was within walking distance of city centre The hotel car park was small and did not have room for all guests staying at the hotel
This is a first class hotel with extremely curteous staff, wonderful location and quality of accommodation. Would definitley recommend this to anyone!! The only down point to the stay was the bed. While the bedding itself was extremely comfortable, it was two (large) single beds pushed together. Due to the carpet protectors on the legs, the bed shifted slightly during the night and if not careful you could fall down between the 2 beds..
We really enjoyed the spa facilities and the warm, relaxed & friendly atmosphere around the hotel. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet time away from the hustle & bustle of the city. The hotel restaurant was disappointing. The meal took far too long to be served & the restaurant was quite cold.
beautiful hotel and friendly staff breakfast not great
Peace n quiet pool spa etc nice room Lack of kettle n room
No courtesy bus into city.
The hotel itself was luxurious and classy. wine 8e per glass 3e per can of coke in the room, menu quite expensive but it was a 5star hotel so i suppose it was always going to be expensive.
Nice, comfortable and warm hotel interior and very comfortable room. Food good but overpriced. Good spa facilities although found the pool and spa water a little cold and for that reason probably will not return for the spa facilities. Booked a very reasonable 2 night stay with booking.com but very disappointed to hear that guests who had spotted a local newspaper advertisement were staying for a night with dinner and breakfast for approx. a third of the price of what we were paying for our room plus dinner. Raised our disappointment with reception staff on departure but even though I called the hotel directly looking for their best rate/offer for our stay I was advised that it was merely unfortunate but that if we didn't read the newspaper advert...
Excellent hotel. Service was fantastic. staff were very polite and always helpful. I will definately return
access to cork heating in room does not work and can not be fixed
Relaxing and enjoying the surroundings Disapppointed with restuarant food.
Good hotel facilities, standard of room, Hotel easy to find, Found it easy to get to main routes to tour the area. No
A very nice hotel, will book again. No coffee making facilities in room.
I asked for the radio in my room to be fixed and it was fixed by the time I got back that evening which was great. The best facility was the swimming pool - really lovely pool. The lift! doors slow to close. If stairs were available and signposted I'd prefer to use them.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was a very private setting and we enjoyed the fact that we could come and go without any disturbance. Just a minor detail cups and cutlery were not changed every day
The staff were very friendly, the location is great - a thoroughly enjoyable visit,to be repeated.
It was a nice stroll from the hotel to the city. I seems now in Ire most 4* Hotels are cutting back and all the guest is left with is functionality, however not even this could be delivered here. A teenage party in one a function room was let continue late into the night, out into the hallways, complete with boy racer stunts in the car park, no sleep. Also typical of these hotels, the traditional Irish breakfast is ruined by these large self-service covered trays with rashers, scrambled? eggs etc, cooked god knows when and dumped into these trays, with the self-digging pleasure left to the "guest". There was a complete lack of any visible manager at all, perhaps they only look in via the web to see occupancy. I noted a little Best Western logo in the bedR, checked not on website, uncool!
We liked the location. Situated on a hill overlooking the city and just a nice distance for a brisk walk downhill into the city only about 15 minutes. However, returning is all up hill so on some occasions we had to opt for taxis which were all very reasonably priced. The hotel was spotless and very comfortable and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Good selection of food and reasonably priced. Gym facilites were excellent - all new varied machines as recently installed and brand new pool, jacuzzi , steam room and sauna. We used all these facilities 2 days running.
The staff were friendly and the place was clean. I had a chicken wrap at the bar which was very disappointing. Instead of a wrap I got what looked like a chicken stew in soy sauce that was quite spicy and not at all what you expect from the menu. Also scrambled egg in the morning had far too much salt in it! The hotel is being renovated and it was a long treck to my room and confusing when the lift didn't work. I thought I left something in my room and rang the hotel. Housekeeping were to call me back but I still haven't heard from them. I since found what I was looking for!
Reception staff were lovely. Breakfast food was very nice No spare pillows available in room. No Tea Making facility in room. Staff at breakfast were very un welcoming
quiet hotel, non invasive staff, good parking, good leisure club
- very friendly staff - humongous pool - hot tub - largest hotel gym I've seen - very clean - English tv :-) - prompt room service - great price - walking distance to cork in very safe community - dinner service was poor. Took a lengthy amount of time to get the bill by asking another waiter - would be nice for reserved parking for hotel guests vs event guests
had a truely excellent time over a weekend and would highly recommend it to anyone. the staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms were spacious and well equipped and the breakfast were a real treat.
Friendly attentive staff, upgraded room on check-in, which was very comfortable, especially bed Only a minor negative but there was no shower gel in bathroom, had to go & find some from maid
The room was great, really comfortable and modern The staff at the front desk were abrupt and not very welcoming. Need Training!!!!!
The Kingsley was a great place to settle down In Cork. The staff were professional and took pride in their work. The rooms were nice and clean. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. I didn't mind this actually but the Kingsley is about a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. You could take a cab or walk it. The reason i didn't mind was because it was far enough away that you weren't surrounded by the noise.
Good choice of restaurant in a relaxing setting. The staff were welcoming but not in your face.
Great room and bathroom; Awesome breakfast
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was very clean and tidy, the hotel is easy to access and is well located in the city.
The Food was tasteless.
The luxury and attention to detail and genuinely friendly/helpful staff. Low numbers of Irish staff.
Hotel facilites were excellent. Superb breakfast and dinner in the evening. Great views of the River Lee and Weir.
Everything was very pleasant and comfortable what you expect from a 5 star hotel, highly recommended. Some of the reception staff were a bit too regimental ,could have been little more friendly.
Access to the gym and parking were both very convenient. Excellent location and friendly staff. The beds could have been a bit firmer.
Central and staff courtesy
Everything, by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in, from the building itself to the staff. Excellent. The management of the Clarion should be proud of the customer experience it's staff provides. I look forward to my next stay in the Clarion.
Breakfast was way to expensive 18 euro plus 5 euro room service is way to expensive!!!
A very pleasant, comfortable and quiet hotel.
The service and staff was extremely good also had food in Kudos which we really enjoyed, The room we stayed in had no heat and it was a very cold night and when we contacted staff member they got us to move which was all done very quickly but it was very inconvenient at 10 pm ish.
modern amenities. great proximity to Cork City centre and shops, dining, etc. No fault of the hotel, but the construction out front is a bit of a pain.
The staff were very pleasant and the rooms were very clean and well maintained
Very nice service employees, even the cleaing personal was nice and intelligent. Keep on with this! Perhaps you should make it possible to isolate the doors a little bit more, not totally (Room 241). Every talking on the aisle can be heard. This has nothing to do with the particular case of the strange guitar player and choir at 3 to 6 a.m. in the next room, which was apologized and rewarded.
Convenience to centre of town and also the cleanliness of the hotel Not able to open windows so the rooms were a little stuffy. Only way to cool room was to put on air conditioning. If we were to stay there again we would insist on a room facing outward. The price per night was quite expensive as breakfast was not included. To take breakfast in the hotel would make it just a little too dear per night. We were able to get a really nice breakfast just a short walk into town at less than half the price.
Great Location! Very nice hotel. Restaurant was very good too. Staff (all but one!) were friendly and helpful. The heat! We were on the top floor and the heat in the hall/room was very uncomfortable.
Location to airport with shuttle service Location of loo not good Narrow passage to get to shower if you use loo
Very close to the airport - you can walk in fact across the road to reach it; breakfast was great and with a variety to choose from. Our room was spacious and clean. It was perfect for a short one night stay.
the pick up service from the airport was quick the menu was not great, a lot more work needed on that before I eat there again
The staff were friendly and helpful. 4 star in price only. An office with a bed rather than a bedroom with a desk.
Eat and slept
The staff were excellent & very helpfull. Also you can park your car at the hotel & walk or use the hotel coach to &from Airport excelent.
Location was perfect. Staff was very friendly (for the most part) No
Th hotel was easily accessible either travelling by car or plane. The rooms were spacious and staff friendly and helpful.
2 minute walk or drive to Airport No complaints
The location at the airport was excellent. Very convenient for travellers. No.
The Radisson BLU, Cork is just right beside the airport. We got an early morning flight and was offered a free shuttle bus but we just went for the short walk with our hand-luggage. Also offered coffee and scones in the hotel foyer as it was too-early for breakfast. Absolutely perfect if you are flying from Cork airport or on business. Our room was very spacious with good furniture. Will definitely stay again when next in Cork city.
Loved the location and view. I enjoyed the seating on each floor. Gave us a chance to sit and visit while enjoying the gorgeous view of the river. Would love a quick cafe for coffee in the morning when we didn't want a full breakfast.
facilities in the hotel found the breakfast expensive especially as it was cold. Alot of money if you didn't want to eat much
The location is excellent. It is warm and comfortable. Spotlessly clean I left some items behind and when I phoned the hotel I was told they were not found. Disappointed about that
i thought that it was not very fair that we could not use the leisure centre after 12 md on our deoarture date even ehen we were very willing to pay.
Free internet access, good car park, good location
Rooms warm ,comfortable ,breakfast excellent. Having to use card key in elevator ,card key not working when trying to get into room. However Staff were prompt and excellent when we were designated another room.
the pool and gym The fact that the pool did not open until 9am and that there was a mix up with my rate that caused some embarassment at breakfast. when I booked online I included breakfast however the hotel had no record of this when I went for breakfast on the sat. I was also overcharged when the online booking co took payment from my visa card in advance
Spa treatment was super; back and Indian head massage. The relaxation room after my massage is not really designed for relaxation. It's an open room looking onto the corridor where treatment rooms are located, I stayed but 5 minutes.
The pool and closeness to city centre Music in hotel bar was too loud to sit in. 3 out of 5 ladies toilets had no toilet paper at 10pm, response from staff on reception was rude
The comfort of the room, the best of facilities. Really enjoyed my overnight stay.
Great facilities ie, fitness center, swimming pool. On arrival we were also upgraded to the deluxe suite with access to executive lounge which was a lovely suprise! Room was really comfortable and quiet also. Good location. Some of the hotel staff (in particular the at the reception & bar) were unfriendly and not very bothered. One receptionist for example seemed put out by me using another family members credit card for booking an extra night (even though I had already booked used it for 2 previous nights and it states that this is fine to do on the website)..."do you not have your own card?" one female receptionist cheekily asked after I explained it was my sisters card. Quite obviously I didn't!! She further questioned me about this in an accusatory manner. It came across as very rude and unprofessional. This is a very small thing but some hair conditioner would have been lovely in bathroom too! Hotel food was over-priced for what you got also...
The ease and confort of it all.
excellent gym facilities air con wasnt the best
the friendliness of all the staff was particularly obvious even down to the housekeeping staff we met in the corridors. we were also impressed with the quality of finish in the bedrooms. we would stay there again
I think the staff were great, and the en-suite and reception areas were fabulous. Being so close to the city was great, and there was facilities in the nearby village of Douglas i.e. Fuel station, pub, and McDonalds I stayed in the hotel previously, and the room was complete luxury, but we had a room on the forth floor that was no comparison, and as we were smokers, it was extremely annoying to have to pace up and down the three flights of stairs to have a cigarette
convienience no hot water in bath. the newly refurbished rooms are like a drug dealers gaff
Efficient service Fire alarm went off at 2.30am - followed by irritating repeditive sound for the rest of the night. Room too bright from external lighting.
We have stayed at this hotel before so we knew what to expect. The Leisure centre is lovely, twin rooms are nice, bathrooms clean with lovely fluffy towels. We were disappointed when arrived because we were allocated a double room, which was really awful (432), but on contacting reception we were given a nice twin room which was what we booked.
We had a lovely room on the 5th floor small but very elegant comfortable clean and generally all around very nice however visited a friends room who was also staying at hotel in old wing it was very disappointing and in no comparison to our room would def recommend booking the new wing The reception staff very ignorant and treated us with no respect despite being paying customers
The leisure centre. The room.It was very old and basic. the chairs were broken, the mattress needed to be changed, the basin´s water was yellw and the shower seemed not to be used in a long time
we had children with us an we were all made rally welcome and the facilities available were explained. nothing
The Staff of the hotel were very friendly which is what made this stay pleasant Firstly it is not a hotel it is a B&B. There is no hotel facilities, no bar, no lounge area etc. The rooms were tight with little space. I was travelling with my mother and our room was up four flights of stairs which is not convenient for an older lady. Also nobody offered to assist with our luggage. There is alot of renovations underway also which make the hotel grotty.
Very tastefully furnished. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fist class. Value for money. Would stay again and recommend to friends. none
comfort, location, cheap, parking, ensuite... ah, it said free wi-fi, but i didnt have a password wen i tried to connect....perhaps ye should write it in the rooms, coz it was too late to askin at d reception..
The staff was very helpful when my son got sick, the facilities were comfortable, and the breakfast room nice, with very nice selection of breakfast foods; a classy B&B. Since the heat is on a timer and turned off from 8:00am to 5:00pm, it got very cold for e few critical hours there, while my son was sick. Also I went up and down many flights stairs many times just to get the simplest things. We chose a place at our next stop (in Galway) with a more complete range of lodging services, like 24-hr room service and on-site restaurant and bar. Still, as B&B's go, very nicely done.
Comfortable and clean rooms in a good location. Onsite parking.
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was first class The bed was very clean but not very comfortable
Friendly people and comfort. Excellent breakfast.
Staff very helpful and friendly.Breakfast 4*Great location for the city.Would highly recommend it for its value for money.
Staff were extremely friendly&helpful, very nice&clean in an excellent location. Would stay again, superb value for money Very steep carpark
Pleasant staff The Gabriel House is not a hotel but a Bed & Breakfast so I felt it was false advertising.
A convenient City center location, very good choice of cooked hot breakfast, helpful staff with good local knowledge of the city. Very limited parking at hotel.
I liked the carpets and the cotton sheets and the breakfast black pudding. The person on the desk was helpful finding times of buses. The heating or plumbing system was very noisy, and there was very little sound insulation generally; people coming in late and closing the doors of their rooms would have woken me up had I not been kept awake by the strange sounds from the heating.
in need of a update a bit scruffy
The swimming pool and design of the room
all the saff were very friendly car parking very poor
clean hotel, polite and friendly staff the room was to hot, window didn't open much!
the staff were exeptional - very helpful and friendly
The pool was nice and the hotel bar was fun. Location was perfect for walking to local attractions and restaurants.
the leisure centre. there was no proper parking. you had to park on the street and had to pay by the hour.
large comfy beds, quiet peaceful rooms, staff very helpful with parking lack of a mini bar, parking was limited
The staff was pleasant Limited hot water in shower. It was awful. Pillow cases were old and woke up with fluff stuck in our heads. Cold room. Door was broken. Television never worked. Will never stay there again for more than one night!!!
The helpfulness of Hazel the receptionist
Location, bed was massive Charged for room cleaning and noise from street
The staff were very helpfull and the room was very comfortable. Nothing....
The smells of the kitchen and the noise of the cooker hoof/ airco where drifting in our room from 7.15h till 00.00h.
The room is very comfortable and it is good location. Would recommend hotel. It is quite noisy in the mornings. The cleaning staff were slamming doors in the hallway so it was difficult to sleep.
The reception area has a nice seating area to relax after eating or prior to retiering for the evening The access (lift) and stairwells are not the best and could do with modernisation.
man made waterfall by the restaurant made the stay even more relaxing
Location, staff and restaurant A couple of the bathroom fittings in room 110 were loose (handle on WC cistern, and seat)
the room & facilities are excellent, better than most places iv stayed in which over the odds were payed. 65euro for 2 people - great value. stayed here b4 too and it was more so nice to see bit of value.don't have to check out til 12pm - amazing! it was all good
Friendly reception; spacious room; no-pressure atmosphere; fine surroundings within the hotel grounds; what looks like a fine (anf challenging Golf course - I'm not a golfer!); very good food. Restaurant service very good but tended to be slow.
The Bed was most comfoable, the breakfast was good and the dinner in the golf clubhouse was very good and reasonable. Food in hotel was expensive
Warm welcome, comfortable rooms, beautiful location Queuing for breakfast
Impeccable service, beautifil nature, coastal- and cliffwalks nearby
Staff were very helpful, patient and pleasant. Food was superb - couldnt find fault with it. Pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. I didnt play golf on the course but it looked fantastic and many of our group did play on Saturday and said it was exquisite !
Mainly comfort and staff . Our welcome was effusive but on checking out we were left to fend for ourselves eg. find our car and drag luggage to carpark etc. A total contrast to our arrival. I was also quite surprised with the quality of the coffee at breakfast as one would expect a cafetiere of fresh coffee at least.
totally relaxing badly signposted,no mention of Capella in Castlemartyr village.Finished up 4/5 miles beyond village before I turned back.
impressed from the beginning...
The pure luxury, restfullness and tranquility aided by the wonderful courteous staff. A wonderful experience. no.
It was a dream, time away from reality. A real touch of class. Everything perfect. So impressed! So relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble. Yoy were treated like royalty. Absol. Nothing.
Perfect staff who were interactive but not overly intrusive. Excellent food in an unstuffy atmosphere. Interesting layout of furnishings and nooks and crannies. The layout of the bedroom was at times impractical.ie dressing table with no mirror but a TV and hairdryer and the desk with mirror but cluttered with writing and information brochure. So nowhere to put toiletries.
the staff were so friendly and helpful-the food was very good-5 star all the way
Old world charm and very polite staff
The rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. We arrived early, got a room quickly, and even were upgraded to a suite just like that. The staff treated us like queens and kings, making us feel like part of their family. Everyone was cheerful and helpful during our stay, and the bartenders were eager to talk about local places to see and shop at. A highlight indeed for our Ireland trip.
comfortable and relaxing and very pleasant somewhat pricey
Facilities The hotel is hard to find. Even the GPS struggled to get us there. Old world atmosphere, with some unusual and welcome additions; a bottle of whisky at the reception desk to parch the thirst and ease the frustration of locating the place. Another fun touch, a putter and play practice green in the room. It is a nice place but would I stay there again? probably not. It's the little things that matter in a hotel and the dinning reception left us cold. We made dinner reservations and showed up on time, appropriately dressed, only to be kept waiting while others streamed by, were welcomed, and seated. Eventually,We were placed in a back room at what must have been the worst table in the place, center stage, traffic area in a room surrounded by cozy booths. The Food and service excellent, but the second rate treatment left a bad taste. So we move on, to a better experience somewhere else.
Very comfortable king size bed, excellent food in Perrotts Restaurant (but wine a bit on the expensive side), lovely swimming pool, hotel in good location within walking distance of city centre. No tea / coffee making facility in bedroom would be our main complaint. Reception staff on arrival were friendly but while checking in, the girl answered two phone calls, and spoke to other guests around us making us feel a bit in the way.
amazing staff, nothing too big a problem, beautiful surroundings.
Very welcoming, great value and city centre location, but a countryside feel in the beautiful gardens
Staff very helpful to ensure our stay was most enjoyable
Staff were excellent. Hotel is gorgeous and makes you feel special There was slight dirt in the room... around the bath grouting and on the wooden slatted blinds in the room (dust). For 5 star this should be up to standard! Other than that it was lovely.
From start to finish it was very relaxing. The Staff were excellent we initially had a problem with our room the carpet was very gruby, we called reception and they immediately came up and moved us to another room. The food was excellent. Even though this hotel was rated 5 star i felt the rooms were 4 star standard
location & value for money. no
When I asked for new pillow cases because mine had hair all over them, the counter help did bring me new ones and apologized. The breakfast was decent. It was dirty. And for the money a higher standard was expected.
location, very close to city center noise coming from outside at night (pubs, noisy guests)
All of the staff,Reception,Diningroom, and Night staff were pleasent and most helpful. The position of the room safe, floor level, in the room I stayed in on this visit.
Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable No
Modern decor, very clean, 5min walk into the city, nice breakfast, helpful staff, free parking, easy to find. Would definately stay there again! No bottled water in the room or any vending machines (that we could find!) to get a drink from which was worse as the rooms were roasting at night even with the window wide open and there were no dials to control the room temperature.
Space of the room and king size bed , newly refurnished room , nice bathroom. Location quite near from main streets of Cork. Our room was on the street side , and thus quite noisy . Rooms on the other side are preferable I suppose.
location, wonderful breakfast lack of dining facilities during remainder of day
good location price to high for standards and facilities
Liked the location and the rooms were large, and nicely decorated. Shower is brilliant, really powerful. Its so hot, windows dont open more than about 2 inches and quite uncomfortable to be so warm especially when your getting ready after a shower.
loved the continental duvets and the wonderful breakfast. reception staff was very helpfull. the room was quite warm but we could not open the window due to the noise of the nearby motorway.
Very relaxing, staff are very nice and extremley helpful at all times,
Child friendly. Accomodating staff who moved us and our 2 year old to a room further away from the function room on request. Lovely pool. Spotlessly clean everywhere.
The choice of breakfast was excellent. Never got to use of Spa as it was booked out. We were very disappointed that the location of the hotel was not specified. We wanted to visit places of interest but there were no information pamplet's to pick from. We asked a member of staff at reception, who gave us a map & marked some places. There was no information either how to get there or about the places. The entertainment was appalling. We will not be recommending your hotel to anyone.
Very friendly staff and an excellent buffet breakfast. Very child friendly We stayed separated nights and therefore has two different rooms. The first room was a perfect size for a travel cot and we still had room to move! The second night we stayed on a different side of the hotel and the room was much smaller but still really nice.
Just relax,time out
The room was spacious and the swimming pool was a big hit. Breakfast is buffet style and not kept adequately stocked resulting in a big scrum everytime something was brought out. The room had no airconditioning but when you left the windows open for air, the noise from the nearby main road was incessant.
spa treatment was excellent and staff were friendly. Evening Meal was most enjoyable. Coffee facilities in room could be better.
The atmosphere and the bar. I could not get an appointement for the spa. I should have booked it before I came down.
Proximity to City. Motorway noise, hotel was shabby- mini bar was broken and the overall hotel was kind of flimsy - we could hear the toilet flushing in neighbouring rooms. Untypical of Radisson
Comfortable Bed and location All OK
Very beautiful hotel, especially for the price! Perfect location and friendly staff! Cannot go wrong! Nothing to complain about! Excellent!
the recognition of myself when I entered the hotel and said I had a reservation, my name was said by Geraldine, the receptionist. The concierge was also helpful when I was looking for a nearby building.
How close it was to the city centre The price, and the fact I had to pay for breakfast!!
Friendly staff. Very good standard of room. Lack of food selection at 10.00 pm and 11.00 am
The hotel is in a great location and we were able to park nearby which is a plus for a city hotel without a car park The rooms are very small but it is an old hotel and there is very little you can do about that
Rooms Noise outside and heat in rooms
Very comfortable beds! Friendly service The fact that you had to book to use the spa pool was not clearly pointed out upon check in, meaning we missed out on going. A mini bar would have been nice!
staff very good
Poor hot water supply
v central to cork city. lovely old style hotel
view of city! comfort and privacy. unfortunately did not get chance to try out spa. room service menu choice and quality was great
The hotel and the room in general were very nice
quite relaxed experience room was cold with only one small radiator
We had a very nice room assignment with view and balcony. We enjoyed the exercise room.
The friendliness and general easy but efficient atitude of the whole place
The hot tub and steam room Draughty windows very cold room, 4 room lights need replacing, mildew in bathroom
Immaculately clean old world hotel (Victorian building). Quiet rooms. Reasonably priced restaurant with gastro pub vibe. Elevators could do with some sprucing up and the jolt with which they stop on reaching your floor can easily raise an eyebrow. Food is only available at set times in the restaurant. I had a late start on Sunday morning and there was little available.
Wonderful, spacious and well-appointed rooms. The food was good and well-presented too.
Staff were excellent. Room service was very quick. Location was good and free parking was a bonus. The room was quite cold, although there was a plug in heater available.
Hotel had lots of original features (was established in 1874) and has kept a lot of its charm. Near to city centre so easily accessible. It was possibly a tad pricey, however guess it was a 4* hotel.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Nice location to Cork city Evening meal could be better. Room 102 is over the front entrance and on Saturday night people while smoking talk and laugh too loudly
