Pros: Location was perfect. Staff were very friendly. Food in the restaurant was the best around the area. Hotel is a perfect size for us, small and cozy.
Cons: I would have liked a fitness room or access to one locally
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great restaurant and outdoor lounge area. Staff are extremely helpful and smile.
Cons: Rooms could have a bit more style color and impact. They are fine but just seem a little plain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff is wonderful! the room very clean and practical, the location is superb. Overall - Best Place to stay in St. maarten.
Cons: Nothing - everything was great!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: I loved that the beach was just steps away from the hotel. I decided to splurge and not go the AirBnB route and boy was it worth it, especially with the breakfast buffet included. Loved the staff at the restaurant and the bars, it feels safe and friendly, the spaces are pretty in general, felt luxurious without feeling "extra." Great vibe overall, I would stay there again tomorrow! Thank you, Holland House!
Cons: The hair dryer turned off after 2 minutes from overheating, so that wasn't ideal, but in St Maarten do you really need a hair dryer anyway?
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location. Huge beach, when no ships is almost private. Lovely rooms and breakfast/ lunch/ dinner great. Staff are fantastic!
Cons: The beach area shuts 5/6pm so either dine in the hotel (which although lovely is not cheap) or take taxi to Simpson Bay ($20 each way)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing and there was plenty of shopping near by
Cons: Everything was great. I wish the elevator was bigger and that there was a few more breakfast options.
9.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed at Holland House the night before we boarded our Windstar Cruise to the BVI. 4th floor just reopened after Hurricane Irma damage. We were the first people to stay in that room...it was beautiful and so amazing! Restaurant attached to hotel is delicious and their breakfast is not to be missed. Very very welcoming and helpful staff!
Cons: Only stayed there one night...would love to have stayed longer!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: My room was beautifully designed with a fabulous balcony and view. The outdoorbar was a great place to relax. Great location to see the city. My waiter at the restaurant, Christian, was an amazing waiter who seemed to be doing the job of 3 people and made it look effortless.
Cons: The bar staff was surly and not very responsive to requests. The hostess at the hotel restaurant at dinner was amazingly unhelpful and seemed to have a real chip on her shoulder.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location to beach, boardwalk, restaurants and stores. The front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms were nicely laid out. Bathroom was lovely.
Cons: The restaurant staff were not particularly friendly

Cons: Originally had us in a room that was not on the beach but up on a hill on the property. I had to ask the front desk 3 days in a row if we could move down to the beach. We were staying 2 wks and did not want to trek up and down the hill a few times a day in order to go to the beach. I would only stay there again if we were in 'Building F'

5.8 Okay
Cons: the shower was old fashion .
5.7 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Never liked anything about the food and the ambiance they provide. You can barely get anything to eat and for linen they barely gave enough for two people. I had to share with my boyfriend. The room smelled like an old iron house that’s full of scrap iron or dumpster.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff was somewhat rude and did not really explain the benefits of staying there. Lack of information
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room and view from the 7th floor of Simpson Bay are beautiful. The room was spacious and spotless. However, the furnishings and decor are a bit dated. I can't complain for the price I paid for a few nights. The resort has everything you need. Beach, several pools, restaurant, sports pub, coffee stand and fully-stocked bars. There are also a few beach restaurants steps away and a cute little convenience store where I bought some good local rum.
Cons: The female staff are extremely rude, especially if you are a black woman. They need to do some extensive training in order to teach them it is not okay to treat paying guests this way. I ignored them to enjoy my stay but I should not ever have to do that.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location - close to bars and restaurants
Cons: A/c in room took forever to cool room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Ocean view and very friendly staff
Cons: N/A
7.0 Good
Pros: Location,we would only stay in the Marina section, ONLY!
Cons: Food, towels, parking,
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was super spacious and the kitchen so well equipped. It even had salt & pepper. The staff was helpful and when we had friends over they were easy going with them using the parking at no extra charge. They have stuff to do for kids and also the store on sight doesn’t charge exuberant prices
Cons: That we couldn’t stay one more night
6.8 Good
Pros: We are from St. Maarten. This is our home. My husband decided to surprise me with a one night getaway anniversary trip. The hotel is located in the heart of Pelican Keys close to the Simpson Bay area. Everything is in walking distance, such as grocery stores and many fine restaurants. The hotel and the hotel grounds were very well maintained. The room was spotless. The complimentary continental breakfast was excellent, and offer a verity of foods. We highly suggest that you add this option to your reservation when booking.
Cons: When we checked into the hotel a staff member at the front desk was extremely rude and called us one nighters in front of our faces. This staff member along with an another front desk lady who tried her best to be polite got into an argument about the required hold that must be placed on the credit card ($150-$250). My husband agreed to any amount that was required to finalize the reservation. The staff member was not having that and demanded to know how we booked the reservation. My husband told her to look into the system ( computer ). The lady who was checking us in whispered that we were booking.com Genius members. The other lady got speechless and walked away. This made the stay unpleasant. We have heard talk from guest who came from abroad and have experienced the same. The facilities were exellent if that is what you are interested in, but if you like good old customer service we recommend you venture futher up the hill to La Vista and La Vista Beach Resort. Lastly check out is at 10:00 am that is understandable. The housekeeping however was waiting to clean the room with all their supplies and loud conversations at 9: 30am in front the door. We decided to get out of their way and checked out. Needles to stay we enjoyed the facilities at the resort but won't be returning.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: View and location.
Cons: Perhaps the evening entertainment.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was excellent with a great view and had everything you needed. The location was great and walking distance to everything you need. Overall, I think it was a great value.
Cons: The clientele was older-a lot of time share types who tend to be older/retired. They need to improve the bar/restaurant. The food and drinks were actually pretty good but the drinks come in tiny plastic cups and the bartenders are completely indifferent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great facilities - brand new kitchen , great gym, very comfortable for a family of 6 in a 2 bedroom suite
Cons: Had to wait for pool towels on several occasions. For the amount you pay, you should not have to wait
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were only there for one night. We have been to St Martin numerous time and always stay on the French side. Next trip wife wants to stay on the Dutch side, specifically to stay at the Royal Palm.
Cons: Nothing.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great beach hotel, in a very convenient location. Lots of good restaurants nearby & a great beach area. We had a great 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with full kitchen. We didn't utilize the kitchen, because that is just not vacation to me. Even though the French side is known for their restaurants, we enjoyed every restaurant we at on the Dutch side. The staff was awesome. My husband left his favorite hat on the beach one day (Tommy Bahama hat...not cheap). We checked with the front desk. They did not have it, but they said they would let us know if it turned up. A couple of hours later, they called our room to say it had been found. We thought it was gone forever. Thanks guys!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations are a very good value for the money. Being right in the middle of everything is a nice feature at night, you can walk to the bars/restaurants, shopping, marina for boating activities. The staff is very good, especially the bell hops (the one exception is the on property bar/restaurant, which is not affiliated with the resort...that staff needs a major overhaul). The apartment amenities are probably some of the best I've seen if you want or need the comforts of home. It was very clean. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are nice, the appliances are all modern and the kitchen was very well appointed. TVs in all rooms, with decent enough cable. Security on the beach and in the resort in general is very good, and its also a necessity considering the location.
Cons: This resort is for families and snowbirds on extended leave.. The beach is absolutely HORRIBLE. Its man made. The water is very very dirty, theres nothing but muck and rocks to stand on when you go in the water. The sand you see in the pictures is dirt, not sand. I didnt realize how dirty the water was til i went in - ONCE. I dunked once and became drastically sick. Its a sewer. There are a ton of large boats moored just offshore. While scenic to view from your deck, I am betting all that muck and murk in the water is bilge leakage. The pool is small and totally overrun with the whining elderly and screaming children. This is a timeshare complex that caters to long term snow bird renters who are looking for value, and families that want to let their kids run wild while they sit in a chair and ignore them. NOT my idea of a carribean vacation. If your priority is a beach vacation where being on a white sand beach with that beautiful carribean water, make another choice. We spent the remaining days on the other side of the island. Also, the island itself has changed drastically, its downright dirty now. Lots of jamaican peddlers and beggers. I have made my last trip to st. martin.
7.0 Good
Pros: The appartment was superb, 2 bedrooms and a large livingroom and kitchen. overlooking the Simpson bay.Within walkingdistance there are several restaurants. The staff was very friendly. The only problem (not regarding the hotel itself) was the awful traffic jam because they are working on the Welfare road until december 2011.
Cons:
5.3 Okay
Pros: It is an excellent location, convenient to all areas. It is surrounded by excellent eating areas and bars, It is within walking distance of many entertainment venues.
Cons: Mosquitoes were everywhere. (It has been a very rainy season.)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very nice hotel,clean,perfect location,enjoyable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the location. The view is awesome
Cons: No
6.7 Good
Pros: All the hotel guests were friendly. The rooms were comfortable and relaxing. Ideal for a family vacation as well as romance. We plan to stay there again.
Cons: Most of the staff were not friendly, especially the front desk staff. The absence of daily maid service, but we made do. The pool was being renovated during our stay.
7.7 Good
Pros: The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed - each with a gorgeous ocean view.
Cons: The onsite restaurant was mediocre but there are several excellent restauraunts within a 3 minute walk.
7.7 Good
Pros: Everything was clean and comfy. Convenient location to shopping and restaurants. Pool theme was "tropical fun."
Cons: Did not like the fact that the only place for WIFI was the hotel lobby!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Luxury accommodations for the low cost. Great staff.
Cons: Distance from the airport is more like 1 mile, 1.6 km. But, a good walk after your flight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Funky cool eclectic snuggled up between amazing beach and a few steps from main runway on airport. Nothing like sea breezes and jet fuel in the morning!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cool comfy room. Was only there for 7 hours to sleep before my flight so only saw the room. Staff were very helpful even though I arrived very late
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Funky little hotel right on Simpson Bay. Lots of character and very friendly and helpful staff, and even two friendly and mellow dogs roaming the property! The bar and restaurant are on a deck overlooking the bay with a great view.
Cons: My particular room was garden level with basically no view. I didn't really mind because I was just steps away from the beach anyway, but if you can afford a room with a view, that's a better bet.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff s great. They are willing to assist you with all your needs. The hotel is located near SXM airport and the beach is right in front. Depending on the room you choose you cannliterally open your door to the beach. Hotel also has a restaurant and bar on site. All in all this is a great property to relax for a couple of days while enjoying the island.
Cons: Bathroom shower needs a better clean.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, food and décoration.
Cons: Expensive for a room with no window
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are great, staff is nice and kind and it is always good to be back. People recognize you and I feel at home. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The little kitchenette is nice, so is the shower and the magic of the beach next to your room is amazing. Dining in the restaurant, eating good food with that beautiful view over the ocean is every time breath taking.
Cons: I was more than happy with everything.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The views from this property are outstanding. The staff is so friendly (and Mickey makes an amazing drink!) We stayed for a friend's wedding and everything went very smoothly. Our room was well tended and the grounds were very beautifully groomed. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all great and it was pure heaven to have a frozen cocktail on the beach. The occasional scurrying gecko or travelling hermit crab makes it feel even more authentic and part of the island. We look forward to going here again and again from now on.
Cons: The pool is quite small... But you have all of that ocean!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had a very nice view, right by the beach and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had all the facilities needed, comfort was great and also very clean. A little sand here now and then, but you are right by the beach so that is to be expected. The location is great, just a couple minutes walk from my favourite beach bar (Karakter) and approximately 5-10 minutes walk from Simpson Bay road where all the restaurants are. The place is very close to the airport, so you will hear the airplanes. However, I personally did not find that disturbing while overnighting at the place.
Cons: Breakfast was not included in the price, however, we still decided to have breakfast at the hotel. I think the breakfast was pretty pricy for what we got. One slice of tomato, eggs benedict with a lot of holandaise sauce and about 5 pieces of small potatoes. I'd recommend going to Karakter and pay a couple dollars more for a decent size breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: OK for one or two nights, on the beach, but not a real beach hotel. Convenient location next to airport. Good vibe in bar/terras and restaurant.

Cons: Room was clean but still seemed unclean. The room smell was not welcoming
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, view, comfort, cleanliness, staff were great
Cons: I liked everything about my stay, except the bill, but that was as I expected.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very good. Yes, it was extra comfortable.
Cons: The TV in the bedroom had a bad audio. And the clock in the kitchen was not working and that was annoying me. Internet was also cut off minutes after 11 o'clock and we were supposed to check out 12 o'clock.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s centrally located, restaurants supermarket and entertainment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location...A grocery store, restaurants, fast food, gas station, pharmacy, rentals and more were all in walking distance and for the Price it had full small kitchens with dishwashers pot & pans, cheese grater, can opener, silverware, dish washing soap etc...
Cons: Late check in of 4:00 I wound have like to check in at least by 1:00
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly resort with (mostly) ocean views and right on a calm, clean beach. Restaurants, bars, groceries, and casinos are close by.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Buccaneer is located next door
Cons: Rooms small, not very clean(sand and other persons hair on floors), tv didn’t work, Air conditioner dropped water all night onto our bed, ceiling had damage, asked for a blanket & pulled and was told there were none, was told my rate would be adjusted and it wasn’t
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location only
Cons: Property is ongoing renovation and I was unaware of this until I checked and they gave me a document with my room keys. - Washrooms require major renovations
6.3 Good
Pros: It was near lots of bars and restaurants. This is definitely the biggest pro for this establishment
Cons: They do not have a restaurant or room service. They do have a full kitchen, but only stock it with coffee supplies for your first night. After that they kindly tell you “we cannot give you anymore coffee”...... 1/2 of the pool was blue- the other greenish (see pics). Rooms need updating- especially the bathrooms. The location and friendly staff is what keeps this hotel in business.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything is new and excellent quality
Cons: Food at the restaurant
6.0 Good
Pros: Close to the beach
Cons: Gave us double bee when it was husband and wife checking in. The remote that controls the fan and the room light can be controlled by the next room guest. If they turn the fan on then ur fan gets on too. We complained but nothing was done about it.
6.8 Good
Pros: Variety
Cons: Not as clean Our room was old. Shower and old tub
7.0 Good
Pros: There were 5 restaurant locations at the resort. I tried three of them. The service at Cafe Amsterdam was outstanding and the staff was very friendly. The Sea Breeze and Gizmo's have very slow service and the staff was not friendly or efficient at their jobs. We had to ask them to take our orders. They did not check in to see if everything was OK. They never asked if we wanted a second drink. We had to ask multiple times to get our bill. The concierge personnel were also not very friendly or knowledgeable. The maids and the maintenance folks were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and the location was very convenient to other island services. The pools were nice and the ocean was outstanding. The hot tub was almost too hot and did not have jets. There was also a small general store on the premises that came in very handy. I was disappointed by the lack of humane responsibility for the stray cats that made the hotel their home and the caged parrots that never seemed to have clean food and water. I would like to see this facility take more of a community leadership role in humane treatment for unfortunate animals. I also think they need to provide more guest information about recycling and littering. I was surprised at how many guests left trash on the beach. The staff cleaned it up, but I think everyone needs to be encouraged to take responsibility for their own stuff in life. I would recommend this facility and I would stay there again. I thought it was a good value for the money, but with a few suggestions for improvement.
Cons: Adopt the cats, spay & neuter them and provide them with food and water. They can become mascots for the hotel. Clean up the parrot cages. Have someone there interact with the birds and let them out of the cages from time to time. Make sure they have clean water and food at all times. Train the staff at the restaurants so they understand their role as service providers. If they hate their job so much that they can't smile, let them go. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything! We had reservations to visit 2 years ago in October but the hurricane hit the island and that changed everything. We were amazed at how beautiful the property was after such devastation. We are planning to return in February 2020!
Cons: Maybe a little better at cleaning the beach and pool areas since some people leave their trash and cigarette butts everywhere! Otherwise all is good.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Nice beach area! Great views from Fort Amsterdam historical area on site!
Cons: This seems a bit picky but the wash cloths were so thin and the cleaning staff would not leave them in the room! I had to go to the front desk to get them delivered and then it was hours later by the time they were delivered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone at Little Divi was exceptional. Staff were genuinely friendly and cared about our concerns. Our needs were met almost instantaneously. The resort itself is a little drive from Philipsburg so the area was very calming and quiet. The resort had its own oceanfront property and it was very well maintained and clean. They additionally have three pools offering excellent views. I would highly recommend anyone visiting St. Maarten to stay at Little Divi. I will definitely be back in the near future. Thank you for making our stay incredibly memorable!
Cons: The only aspect was the resort's distance from town center. However, the big benefit is that its much more relaxed, quiet, and not as busy!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I had a first floor veranda that looked onto the ocean. I could hear the waves
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Tons of facilities: gym, 3 pools, private beach, 4 restaurants. All rooms either have an ocean or bay view with a patio. They give you beach towels, beach chairs, and an umbrella free as well. Free parking as well.
Cons: Check in can be quite a lengthy experience. We checked in at 1 and filled out all of the paperwork and came back at 4 to grab our room keys when it was ready but there were at least 50 angry people waiting in line to be checked in! They also gave us the wrong type of room initially. The concierge service isn’t very helpful either, nor are the managers or many front desk staff. Elvis was really funny and cool though! Food is ok but not great.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are comfortable and clean. Also, the ocean view is amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is wonderful and friendly. The beach is private and immaculately clean, I saw not one piece of trash.
Cons: They have a very strict towel policy, I prefer having beach towels simply available to guests so we don't have to keep track of one single towel the entire time.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All th staff was friendly and the resort was really beautiful
Cons: The security was really rude to us at the pool the last day of our stay

8.8 Excellent
Pros: All Of it
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant resort on old coral reef
Cons: Room rather dark. Local restaurants were destroyed by hurricane and still not up and running apart from that on resort. Beach very inferior to what it was and has covering of seaweed daily. Busby's Beach bar no longer there.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Bad location, lighthouse was closed, beach full of seaweed, really expensive rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Felix and Nellie were especially kind and helpful. I enjoyed their friendly manner and how they went out of their way to make us comfortable!
Cons: That breakfast was not included in the price of the room, which was $252/night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: THIS IS THE BEST RESORT ON THR iSLAND. Rooms are spacious and clean. Water views surround the resort. Never disappointed when I come here.
Cons: NOTHING!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Views are spectacular, beautiful pool area and fabulous staff. The welcome party with complimentary wine and appetizers was a pleasant surprise. Live music and dancing made for a surprise party and we met many fellow travelers. All this and the restaurant definitely exceeded our expectations!
Cons: It’s a great private location but a bit out of the way. I was staying only one night so I appreciated the privacy and seclusion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great. Multiple choice and the folks were very hospitable, friendly and polite.
Cons: The beach was not what I expected. Great quantity of seaweeds. had to drive to another beach.

6.8 Good
Pros: Installations at room were fairly new. Renovated
Cons: Cleanest need to improve. Also need to finish upgrade of room like doors, paint on wall etc. You can tell that rooms are starting to deteriorate soon. Walls not maintained and dirty. Drawers that don’t close and a few minor other details that tells you that maintenance need to improve
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was updated and staff was pleasant and helpful.
Cons: I had no complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we were in was a small apartment, completely new and we had everything we needed in it. A very nice supermarket is just downstairs. At night we couldn’t here noise even if we were in a central area, close to bars and discos. The staff was always smiling and they tried to help us with all of our requests. We really enjoy our stay at Commodore Suites.
7.5 Good
Pros: privacy
Cons: nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is very convenient and close to everything
Cons: The noisy lobby . The rooms behind the lobby are not properly soundproofed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Supermarket on ground floor
Cons: Shower water pressure
6.3 Good
Pros: The beds were comfy and the room was large and spacious. The bathroom was a good size, modern and nice. The kitchen was well equipped
Cons: What I did not like was that the temperature of the shower was hard to set and maintain at one temp, it was either too hot or too cool. No blackout curtains, curtains were not luxury. Room and facility were quite comfortable but not luxury. After looking at the Commodore for a while it was comfortable, but I would not actively seek to stay again. More guest house than hotel if that's what you are looking for. Also the location is convenient but not a luxury environment. Downstairs is quite "industrual" - pallets unloading etc. It was good for a one night stop over, I would prefer more of a resort vibe and ambiance for longer stays. A lovely fresh and adequate breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for restaurants.
7.5 Good
Pros: I always like the location and convenience to stores and restaurants
Cons: Smell lingered in the room from previous guest who burnt his cooking

Cons: Was told that it was 350 Mtrs from Simpson Bay main road....

Cons: No vending machines or drinks for sale on property. Restaurant was closed and store was closed. We had no car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: WiFi was rough
Cons: Wifi was a problem
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room in front of the water
Cons: I found some stuff on the chairs like if they dint cleaned or vacuum right
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Being right on the beach was amazing. You can hear the waves crashing on shore all day and night and the view out of the room and on the balcony was fantastic. The location was also great - walkable to several small grocery stores and many beachfront bars and restaurants (although the property is on a bit of a hill which might be a challenge for some).
Cons: Although clean and well-stocked, the room was a bit run down and the Wi Fi was really unreliable often shutting down completely.
8.8 Excellent

Pros: Everything was good
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff was helpful; in their attempts to accommodate me.
Cons: LOCATION listed as Simpson Bay, which it is NOT. Property was selected mostly by location - proximity to the airport and easy to walk to the bus... IT WAS NOT. Moreover, i had to take my suitcases up AND down 2 flights of stairs.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room. The staff.
Cons: The location
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The appearance is deceiving, great place
7.0 Good
Pros: Rooms very clean nice breakfast in bakery below hotel. Located in industrial area but very convenient for access to Simpson’s Bay, Philipsburg, Maho and Marigot. Cole Bay has good shops too.
Cons: Receptionist was not very welcoming. Courtyard style meant that slamming hotel room doors and loud hotel guests woke you up in the middle of the night. When we booked we did not read the small print on the website regarding local taxes so the room was $30 more per night then we thought.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the staff! Super sweet, helpful and homey! The room was well equipped and clean! Totally worth your money!
6.8 Good
Pros: value for money.
Cons: Arrangement of breakfast is rubbish. No one guest will understand the system to access for breakfast. After 9pm you will find nothing to eat in that area.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Really cosy feeling but it was a hostel with multiple beds in a room and I was the only one there
Cons: The toilet and showers were communal
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: I loved that we were close to orient bay by car. Towards the end of the trip, I liked we were living in the community, and close to nature.
Cons: This hostel needs love and renovation. Lack of cleaning and practicality. Presence of Mosquitos and Ants in the room... No hot water. No living room (no practical living spaces).... Rooms are very small. We rented a private room with 3 beds... there was no space to walk, to open our suit case, no desk...
7.0 Good
Pros: I paid for a bed and breakfast in a hostel. So, that being said that's exactly what I got. No amenities, no TV, shared accommodations, and not for the faint at heart. I would not recommend to a honeymoon couple or family trying to save money, you'll be disappointed.
Cons: Getting from the airport was tricky as this was unfamiliar territory for me. Thank goodness I looked like a local so taking a gypsy car cost $ 1 dollar. Compared to the $15 or $25 cost for tourists .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Super sweet couple run this place-as was my first night felt a bit off beaten path. Comfy room, super chill. Great way to start holidays!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners were super friendly and always available. They answered all the questions we had, and made it a feel-like-home stay. I'll definitely stay at the hostel when I go back to St. Maarten!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the rural feel.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The personal touch!
Cons: No complaints!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I do not even have to praise the property for it is so popular. Location is good: it is just outside of 'touristy', yet close by to wherever one would like to spend the day. People know each other there.
Cons: Err. Tough one. Liked everything. Even if I was pressed, I still don't know what to say. I just liked the experience as a whole. Really, none to site as something I didn't like. Even mattresses were great.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was made to order. The area was hard to navigate from the airport if you are unfamiliar with the surroundings. The staff and locals in the area were courteous and inviting. I would not recommend for a family with children unless you get a room altogether. As this is a shared hostel.
Cons: WiFi unavailable. Tricky getting from the airport.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the staff, very friendly
Cons: Lack of wifi through out the rooms/location.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location - right on the beach.
Cons: Mosquitoes.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the balcony.
Cons: Customer service was awful. The staff was rude and acted like the could care less. The manager would not come out and speak to us in person with our reservation issue. we killed at least 30 mosquitos per day. We got stuck in the elevator. Sliding door brk
8.0 Excellent
Cons: one lady at the activities desk by the beach was less than helpful and sometimes was hardly friendly. It is difficult to try to book a trip for the day when she seems annoyed at helping, and is less than happy to answer questions regarding the trips.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked that is on the beach and its convenience. Hotels staff was plesant and accomodating.
Cons: No maid service. The bathroom was dirty upon arrival. Didn't like the new upgrades to hotel's lobby as it took away from the original theme. It was bland and unoriginal.
5.7 Okay
Pros: The bed lines were very clean
Cons: They charged me a $10.50 reaort fee per day, when my Kayak reservation said everything was paid in full. The walls are super thin, so you heard everything in the halls. The concierge desk called at 830am. It took me over an hour to get checked in. They have a pretty early checkout if 10am
6.2 Good
Pros: The resort is in the best location in Simpson Bay with a great pool/ocean area. Restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: We were there for 16 nights and only had iur room cleaned 3 times. Floors were dirty so recommend bringing an extra pair of sandals for room. For $300/night I would expect more. The microwave was filthy dirty when we arrived and was never ince cleaned.

Cons: A few more diverse restaurants and options for food at late hours
5.5 Okay
Pros: I didn’t care for much of anything here.
Cons: The food choices were horrible, everything closed by 10pm, the food was first come first served, the shower water worked sometimes, just a very bad overall experience. We will never come back to this resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our butler Ranjeet was fantastic! We were celebrating our 20 year wedding anniversary and he decorated our room with balloons, rose petals, champagne, and a delicious cake! He was attentive to our every need and made our trip very special. The property is located in the perfect spot with ample opportunities to relax by the ocean or enjoy the sunsets. Early morning outdoor yoga was an added bonus. We’ll definitely be back!

7.0 Good
Pros: The location and facilities were very nice and clean. The pools were great and the drinks/alcohol was all top notch!

Pros: Very pleasant workers. Breakfast croissants and coffee were always very fresh. Room cleaned often.
Cons: It is understandable that the hotel management is still facing the challenge of re-building after the hurricane. Elevator broke down for a day and a bit. Pros: The penthouse has everything you need! Loved the sea view with breathtaking sunsets and sunrise. Water sports long walks by the beach & felt very safe. Good food at the restaurant around and shopping in the frontstreet & backstreet, literally walking out of the hotel. Beach umbrellas free as you are staying with the hotel.
Cons: No night life close by or walking distance. No room service (food) no pool but the sea complements that. No cleaning room everyday.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location, amazing beach, good value for money
Cons: The room area on booking.com stated as 130 sq.m, but it s actually not more than 45-50 sq m - not a big problem, but kinda felt deceived( The closet is located in the bathroom which is bizarre..
7.5 Good
Pros: Easy into the City and beyond expectations.
Cons: Well. I have been told that they clean only twice a week. Wednesday and Thursday. I did not know that. I thought they were suppose to clean and replace/place bathtowels and cosmetics such as shamppo/conditioners etc.

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and express check-out. Free valet parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very pretty - nice lobby, good surroundings. Dawn beach is nice and easily accessed from the hotel pool. Food was pretty good and I felt safe staying there. I would come back to this property with friends or family in the future.
Cons: This is definitely a big hotel and has a resort feel. This is not bad at all but if you are looking for peace and quiet you should go elsewhere. There were large parties of family reunions and other gatherings. Sometimes they were quite loud. Again not a drawback unless you are looking for something more quaint. My only real complaint was that the dinner service on my first night at ocean was quite slow. And the server for the pool bar kept hitting on me and would not take the hint to leave me alone.
