Pros. Rooms were comfortable, great showers, good beds
Cons. They have a blaring disco at the pool until 11.30pm, the drum beats shaking the rooms at the North side of the hotel, affecting 50% of the hotel. They should either give a discount for those rooms or warn people. It's a strange business choice, as the DJ plays for 10-20 people at most, who don't seem to care about the music anyway, while a multitude of clients is adversely by it. I would certainly not recommend this hotel for this very reason. Staff also did not follow up on their promise to give me another room the next morning for my second night.
Pros. This was a perfect hotel in a great location. We traveled all over Sri Lanka and found this hotel to meet or exceed every expectation. The room was perfect, the pool area was pure luxury and the restaurant choices were excellent. I would stay there again.
Cons. The only "quirk" was that the elevators were not air conditioned. But they were fast, so we didn't have to be in them very long!
