Pros: Rooms were very well proportioned, comfortable and very well appointed. In general, it was very friendly, lovely staff, food was good, and plenty of it. The place as a whole pervaded cosy country inn. Range of beers was excellent.
Cons: Central, cosy bar area small, especially if the place was busy. In saying that, there were plenty of spaces away from the central bar to sit.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved staying here. Totally chilled and away from everything. Loved the gym sauna and pool. Showers were great. Stayed hot. Also loved we had a family room for our children, breakfast was great to. Hosts were the best.
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was that we couldn’t stay longer. Fabulous place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful, definitely going to rebook and return!
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff , lovely couple managing the house , clean, soft towels, nice bedding, well dressed beds, public areas are comfortable. Swimming pool, staff doing their best.
Cons: Very very uncomfortable bed, long past it’s sell by date. Springs pushing throw, sagging and hard. No welcome firer, .we stayed in the studio room, my son’s bed was an old single chair bed Settee. Mattress was about 5 cm deep. The room cost £150 per night, B and B. In addition we had dinner. Given the isolated spot I did not want to try and find an alternative. The evening meal was nice but very expensive. There is no price on the menu , and although we skied twice we were not given a price .so given the location I decided we would have to have the meal and worry about the cost in the morning, big mistake. . We paid £72 for a coke, 1 cider , 1 starter , 2 mains and 1 pudding. There is a pool , which is nice but could do with some attention, the sauna was not on but we were told it could be turned on for the next morning. It be fair the next morning the manager said that if we had said about the beds they would have moved us, also he did not charge for the dogs. Usually there is a charge of £20 per dog. When I told my husband what we had paid for no sleep and a fairly average meal he was surprised and said it was too much. We were the only people in the hotel on a Saturday night. It’s a shame for the couple who are doing their best. I feel that if the price was more reasonable this would have been ok, I booked the hotel to knowing it was £150 per night because I thought we were getting a 4 star experience this was not a 4 star experience I am afraid.

Cons: the climb up the hill and my partner beating me at pool
9.0 Excellent
Cons: It would be nice if breakfast started earlier
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The overall excellence was surprising , but their four star reference was well deserved. .. The staff were really friendly ... The only thing is I'm 6'4'' which the bunks don't really cater for !! I was lucky and had a four bed room to myself so drew out the spare and slept full length on that . A room on its own costs much more £39 which is a little prohibitive against 20 Inc. Breakfast. .. The views the vibe the staff all great thank you Bear
Cons: Size a little tight on standard bunk

Cons: DOn’t serve food after 19:45
8.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely clean hotel. spacious room and lovely comfortable bed and bedding was soft and lovely. The only issue was there was no Wifi (possibly because I was up in the rafters) and I was there for work so this was crucial. the landlady (I believe) gave me a personal Wifi code but had to lean into a certain corner to be able to use and not a great signal. other issue could not get shower to work properly (over bath) and there was no hair dryer. I would definitely stay again as the location was great for the train station, coffee machine was excellent, the bed was so comfortable, the room was quiet and warm (adjustable) and the breakfast was fabulous.
Cons: no hair dryer. no Wifi.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and character
Cons: Floor in bathroom was very uneven (holes in boards beneath vinyl?), and shower didn’t drain properly so felt need to turn off kid-each to let it drain.

Cons: Beautiful bathroom but pressure of water in shower could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My fiancée and I stayed here from the 6th February for 3 nights as a last holiday before our wedding in August and we can both agree that this accommodation is an absolute gem! We really cannot rate this highly enough. Firstly Tracy and Jack the proprietors are first class and cannot do enough for you. So welcoming and helpful and exceeded our expectations in everything they delivered. The Manor itself is stunning and in a beautiful location. A couple of miles outside the centre of Conwy, tucked away up a few country lanes and standing in its grounds proudly as it should. It has so much character and retains its history from many years ago right up to the modern day with its facilities. The manor is absolutely spotlessly clean in all areas. Our 4 poster room was beautiful and stylish and offered great views. A lovely lounge to relax in at the end of a long day sightseeing and walking and with a honestly bar should you require a drink or two. The breakfast room again full of character and so well laid out. And then the breakfast options!!!! Outstanding we say from a full Manor Special breakfast to Omelette to Eggs Benedict. Perfect options to start the day and tasted superb. All delivered by Jack in an extremely friendly, professional and helpful manor. He even knew my coffee needs on first visit and went out of his way to accommodate!!! 2 pubs sit around 25 minutes walk or a few minutes drive away offering great food and drink options for your evening meal. If visiting in the Winter, it makes for a very pleasant walk but take a torch for the lanes. Or take a trip in to Conwy where there are more food and drink options. In summary, we have to say this place is outstanding. We have visited Wales very rarely but on this visit we will without a doubt be back soon and only one place we will stay. And that’s the Gwern Borter Manor. A huge thank you to Tracy and Jack for making this visit so perfect and memorable and look forward to seeing you again soon. Dave and Amy

Pros: Possibly one of the best places I've said at in the UK. Andrew and Beth have a keen eye for style and have created a fantastic B&B. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are spacious and the Aloha lounge is a great addition. The bathroom had both a bath tub and shower and was really nicely lit with really hot water. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Melissa was an amazing host, she couldn’t have done enough for us. We had a very warm welcome when we first arrived and the welcomeness continued though out our stay, we felt very at home and the whole b&b was very different and quirky and I loved the decor, the location was perfect, right in the town next to the castle and in walking distance from everything. The breakfast was really nice and again couldn’t have asked for more. Melissa also put us a bottle of the Prosecco in the room as it was our anniversary which was a lovely added extra and the other little extras in the room were a nice touch too. Would definitely recommend and would revisit. When I booked I sillily booked the wrong dates and Melissa was more than happy to sort that for me, she was there to answer any questions I needed and kept me up to date
Cons: If I was being picky the only fault I have is the parking at the b&b as it took us a while to find a car park and the long stay car park that we staying in meant that we had to carry all our suitcases up a big flight of stone steps but that is no fault
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host The rooms ❤ The whole house The view

Pros: Central to everywhere
6.0 Good
Pros: Comfy bed and large room, pizza was good.
Cons: The room had 1 radiator but not much heat came off it, even though it was on full. No heating in the bathroom either? We were really cold. The windows rattled really bad in the wind, we had to put cardboard in the gap to stop it from moving. We asked for extra heating but staff had not got anything to offer us so we when out and purchase a heater to plug in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and polite staff. Lovely food in the restaurant below (best garlic bread I've ever had) which was great value for money, proper pizza. Really good room that was super clean with a slight view of the castle and the bridge, perfect size and really comfy bed. Great location, short walk to everywhere including the train station. Overall great value for money. - The staff went an extra mile with my stay, i had requested petals on the bed as it was mine and my girlfriends 1 year anniversary, and not only did we find rose petals on the bed, we also found a box of chocolates and a card from the staff wishing us a happy anniversary which we did not need to pay extra for and was a wonderful surprise to both of us. - Overall i highly recommend staying here, and would definitely stay again

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean bathroom, warm cosy room, large bed. Friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything. The service, the room, the location, the food.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Excellent service and beautiful room.
Cons: The room was not properly cleaned before we arrived.I found a pair of used red socks in one of the side table drawers. We also had to navigate ourselves around the building, climbing three flights of stairs with all our luggage. Even though I am disabled. This was not mentioned before we arrived. It was also very noisy [outside the building] all night long! With car doors slamming and people talking and being rowdy outside on the street. For such a beautiful hotel these drawbacks made the entire experience awful. I would never stay at this hotel in the future under any circumstances.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness of the room and ambiance of the Hotel in general.
Cons: The catering service was not perfect, the staff should deal with one task at a time and accomplish that before dealing with something else that way they would remember what they've been asked to do. Or write things down.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I paid 110 for a single bed room It was tiny That’s ok , but a double room twice as big was the same size
Cons: As above Also no drink or room service menu in room
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Lovely traditional style rooms. And friendly staff.
Cons: Parking a bit hit and miss. Worried about being blocked in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Conway is a small village anchored to the water by a huge castle (King Edward I, 1272) with walls extending all the way around the village. The Castle Hotel is in the center of the village and it is the perfect location to walk the town and learn some of the haunting stories from the past. The hotel has had many sitings as has the Castle and the Plas Mawr , a Tudor Renaissance house from the 16th century. The Castle Hotel also has the best food in town. Sitting by the fire in the pub and downing a pint or two is heaven. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.

Cons: Everything is a bit old, you can clearly see that they didn't improved the place for quite a while.

Pros: Location was great for Conway, about a 10 min walk to the town centre. Breakfast was exceptionally good with lots of choice and all freshly cooked
Cons: Nothing we didn't like. Getting to the car park was a bit of a challenge during Storm Dennis, as it's up a very steep, bendy slope behind the house.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We were welcomed by the very friendly and helpful patron who advised us where to visit. THe room was spacious and comfortable. And very clean. Great shower and washing facilities. Bed was great. Breakfast was excellent with incredible fresh grilled kippers as one choice. Fruit salad, toast, full English etc all offered. Only a short walk to the town centre and views form our window of the castle wall. Very pleasant and accomodating owners who did care about you enjoying your stay. Superb :)
Cons: Very little. Possibly a slightly larger TV in room, or maybe I should get glasses :)
