Such a sweet Spanish style inn. Excellent customer service. Great location. Bed was comfortable. Huge walk in closet. Comfortable suite with kitchenette.
Kitchenette was not well stocked. Bathroom is small and hard to negotiate. It's a little overpriced.
El Cordova was in an excellent location near the beach and right off of Orange Ave., the Main Street in Coronado. The shops and restaurants in the El Cordova made it feel less like a hotel and more like an apartment. Our hotel room had a kitchen with stove, fridge, and microwave, which was nice. The bathroom facilities were clean. The building maintained it's old styling, but the inside was updated with modern features. The staff was extremely helpful with transportation and advice for people new to the city.
The El Cordova Hotel is a swanky Spanish-inspired circa 1902 establishment set on the shores of Coronado Beach, California. It is just a quick 5-minute drive from downtown San Diego, which is home to many dining, shopping, nightlife, and entertainment options.
Unique, colonial Spanish-style rooms and suites are spacious and comfortable with modern decor. All rooms are kid-friendly. Laundry and room service are available.
Business travelers can utilize the multiple meeting rooms, which boast plenty of space for corporate functions, conferences, and social gatherings.
A hot tub and a large heated outdoor pool are complete with a sundeck and lounge chairs. A spacious courtyard offers space for reading, socializing, and enjoying a cup of coffee.
There is an onsite restaurant which serves upscale Latin-inspired fare. Guests can dine at the multiple nearby dining options, and some favorites are Miguel’s Cocina and Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar.
Within a stone’s throw of the hotel is a bike rental shop, art galleries, major museums, the San Diego Zoo, beautiful gardens, performing arts venues, and more.
