Pros: Breakfast was simple but really good - my 11 year-old was always looking forward to breakfast time, together with jumping in the swimming pool as soon as she was awake. This is a small property and you feel special, not just a number in the middle of another 100s of guests. The location (Imbassai) is more remote, less “city” feeling - we even saw some “micos” - marmosets - while at the Pousada. The beach nearby (10-15min walking) is superb. The Imbassai river is an added bonus, it has sandy beaches and the water was nice. Flor and Carlitos were very attentive and gave us nice tips on where to go, dinner or visit around the city or nearby region.
Cons: There was no shampoo in tho room. It seems that it is not practice for “Pousadas” to supply shampoo, just soap. Easily remediated - there was a couple of convenience stores nearby.
Pros: Very beautifully decorated garden, room was clean and comfy, great breakfasts and the best of all: super friendly hosts
Pros: Localization and breakfast
The hotel’s imaginative design reflects harmony between the modern facilities of world-class accommodation and the surrounding natural environment of coconut groves and rivers native to its prime location in the Green Line coastal region. With its unique services, crystal-clear pools, and access to picturesque shores, Grand Palladium Imbassaí Resort & Spa offers a relaxing, fun-filled time for adults and children alike. With the Infinite Indulgence® experience, everything’s included.
Pros: Staff, hydro-therapy pool, adult pool, cocktails, Brazilian BBQ restaurant, Smile Service, the bed, the robe & slippers, complimentary champagne, fruit basket, the beach, cleanliness,...
Cons: There are not enough English speakers (it may help to have info written in a letter to English speaking guests just in case things get lost in translation). The Oxum buffet area was filled with flies and there are a lot of ants near the lounge areas of the hydrotherapy pool and the adult pool.
Pros: Most of the staff was really friendly
Cons: The food could have been better
Pros: Location. Shows. Food and alternatives to dinner. A real all inclusive. Amount of staff and always there to help. Kids and teenager clubs where great. We travel with a 9 and 14 year old boys, we hardly see them al day long...
Cons: Check in was a mess, we had fo changed rooms due to a open bathroom- we were not told- also rooms needed some deep cleaning, They can do better to improve dinner booking system, you have to wake up 7:30 am to book for next night... we suffered two room black outs due to an energy problem. We woke up in the middle of the night with no AC...
Pros: Fitness center Bar premiun
Cons: Japonese food
Pros: The place is beutiful, excelleng pools, and room is great.
Cons: The food is not good. They really need to make delicious food for the price that we pay.
Cons: Some guests reserved pool side chairs with their towels for an entire day, only to return to them during the afternoon. Making it almost impossible to find a spot by the pool unless you wake up very early. Hotel management should make every effort to stop this kind of abusive behavior from most guests.
Pros: Special thanks to Staff!! very good people! Monica at the ocean bar is the best!
Pros: Great location, just what we needed after Carnaval, as it was relaxing and peaceful. The owner Corrado is an Italian man who went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. He drove us to Praia do Forte and told us all about the area and gave us recommendations of things to do and places to eat. We had initially booked a room with a fan, but as there was one with air con available, he suggested that we move into that one. The breakfast was delicious, a huge fruit bowl, omlette, pastries, freshly squeezed juice and coffee, we ate every bite. He also found a taxi driver he knows to bring us to the airport as we were short on time for buses. I would highly recommend staying here.
Pros: This was the second time for my family with 3 kids to stay in Casa ImBale... and it won't be the last. Special breakfast. Fantastic view. Perfect service. Deep discussions with the owner. Flexibility in times of need. A big thank you.
Pros: The host /place is a really great! The owber gave us all the information we needed immedialty. Very welcoming, super located place with an awesome view to the ocean since it is directly at the beach, but still very close to the center of Imabassai (5min walking) You get a delicious breakfast in his garden, on the veranda with the best view , or sit in the hammock and watch the stars at night! We hab great talks with the owner, who is super attentive, open and wise. ^^ We hope to stay longer next time! Thanks for having us! :)
Pros: Wonderful location, just hearing and seeing the sea. Hearing the sea in the night was great. Very pleasant village behind and friendly host and great breakfast. The little house I stayed in was made of wood only and was basic but comfortable with a good bed and bathroom. Nice with a little beach restaurant just next door.
Cons: Wi-Fi didn't always reach my room but worked well in general.
Pros: The location was amazing, and Corrado was extremely friendly and helpful. And the breakfasts were incredible! Definitely recommended and we’ll be back one day I hope!
Pros: It already looked great online, but Casa Imbale was even better than our expectations. It's located perfectly between the Atlantic Ocean and the river, close to the center of town with restaurants and shops, but still quiet and a little off the touristic paths. At night you can hear the waves of the ocean and the wind in the palm trees. It's a very peaceful place. The rooms are clean and have a cute interior design. The breakfast that is included is simply amazing: fresh fruit, homemade omelette, bread, cheese, meats, the best Italian coffee... all served on a terrace with a view of the sea. Highly recommended!
Pros: Great hospitality. Amazing breakfast. Perfect location.
Pros: Breakfast was extraordinary.
Pros: Absolute unique place directly above the beach. Super romantic location. Very friendly Italian host, very welcoming, helpful (gave me a lift to Praia do Forte) and always open for a chat. Breakfast extraordinary! I enjoyed the stay very much. Mille gratie!
Pros: Very good breakfast and a beautiful location. The owner is very kind and helpful.
With a stay at Pousada Capitù in Mata de Sao Joao, you'll be on the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Imbassai Beach and Diogo Dunes. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It is an awesome place for couples. The beach is just about 50m away and they have an exclusive path. No need to worry about car during the whole stay, unless you want to drive around, like Praia do Forte. The city is really safe, you can walk around and have some dinner/lunch...
Pros: Beach front, nice outdoors spaces and pretty garden, good breakfast and service overall.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was very great! It could maybe think of having service for dinner in the restaurant.
Pros: Amazing and relaxing environment, calm beach, perfect spot to recharge and leave the everyday worries behind.
Pros: Breakfast was really good and changed daily. The huts are very cute and well decorated. The beds are not the worlds worst or best. With a fan at night, it was not too hot without A/C. The property has beach access with chairs and a bar/restaurant right on the water. The pool was unnecessary and the mosquitos by it were bad. Dinner must be eaten in town which is a short 5-10 min walk, with a few very good options. We had the Posada arrange a car from Salvador airport for 230,000 one way. It was super easy and quick. They also have security at night, which was nice.
Cons: The bed was not the most comfortable.
Pros: Where is mainly located and how easy it is to find it!
Cons: That I couldn’t stay more days due to my work life! So, it’s not about the place
Pros: The location is great - the beach is serene. The room is small - but the linens - amenities were all there and clean and well kept. The hotel provides fans to beat the heat - but that does not really help in combatting the heat there, so staying indoors during the day is impossible. Which means you have no option but to be by the beach.
Cons: Breakfast options for vegetarians (no eggs, no meat, no fish eaters) are negligible so paying for breakfast was completely a waste for us. The ventilation and fan in the rooms aren't enough to beat the heat - so we barely got any sleep through the night. For travellers who do not like heat that much - stick to a hotel room with air conditioning.
Pros: This was somewhat a new experience, but a charming one. Accomodation was in individual chalets with thatched roofs, but which had all you'd expect from a normal room: separate bathroom, fridge etc, cleaning every day. No air-con I think because this is not in line with ecological-aims, but it didn't seem to matter because of natural ventilation etc. You could hear the surf from the nearby beach. Many added luxuries: its own beach with cool open-air bar-restaurant, a swimming-pool in the midst of coconut trees, extra-good breakfast with special items, peace and quiet, but proximity to local village for dinners, very friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing could have been better. You'll need a car to visit here. Be aware sea may be rough at hotel-beach, though it's only a little walk to where local river meets sea, and it's much calmer.
Pros: Catarina and Adriana's hospitality. Location is great. It is a place to relax and tune in. Landscape is beautiful. Beach less than 100m from any room.
Cons: I booked a room with no AC. There were 2 fans in the room, though. But it was still a bit warm for me and my sleep got a bit compromised. So, be aware of it when booking your room!
Pros: Beautiful little Pousada. We felt welcome and well taken care off from the minute we arrived. The little huts (we had a junior suite) are just beautiful and were decorated with a lot of love and thought of detail. The Pousada has it's own little beach incl. a beach bar. Being the last property on that stretch we had an endless beautiful beach nearly to ourselves. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and always make sure that you feel home from home. We can highly recommend this little gem.
Cons: The only thing that would be nice is a 'real' bathroom door. Others than that, there absolutely nothing to complain about.
Pros: Capitu was a dream place to stay! Ever since the check in I felt that was a place for me. It’s a beautiful and romantic bangalô style pousada with direct access to a quit beach... the type of guests who stay at capitu are couple, really polite and low key people from all over the globe... not a busy place at all... you won’t see kids. The deco is romantic. Staff are beyond excellent! Hands together for Adriane and katarina who took good care of us. They are friendly, speak many different languages and better than that they will speak your language... I am so in love with the place as a get away from people! Believe me there is not other place like capitu in the entire Bahia... so go ahead and book it! Almost forgot! Breakfast wow , the best I ever had! Thanks for accommodating me to the highest standard! Rose
With a stay at this pousada in Mata de Sao Joao, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Imbassai Beach and 7 minutes from Diogo Dunes. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The area is big, the rooms are confortable, although the double bed is not king size. Shower worked good, pool was great and it was indeed a big property.
Cons: When we asked we weren't told about the event next door happening that night. Two hours later I heard they advertising it and the owner said the music would go onto 10pm. It went well over midnight (other people told us it would last until midnight). I thought we could have been warned up front about it and not told it was going to last until 10pm only. The photos online show a kitchen in the room, as soon as we booked the owner got in touch to say our room didn't have a kitchen. The description did say some rooms had a kitchen but the owner said the rooms offered online don't have it, so I don't think the photo should be there.
With a stay at Vilangelim Eco-Pousada, you'll be centrally located in Mata de Sao Joao, a 1-minute drive from Imbassai Beach and 8 minutes from Diogo Dunes. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: The owners are really non professional
Pros: The pool temperature and being surrounded by beautiful trees made lying by the pool or swimming an absolute delight. We spent New Years Eve at the resort and the food prepared by our hosts was magnificent; plus their generosity in engaging with guests gave such a nice personal touch to our stay. The resort restaurant is one of the best, if not the best in the village.
Pros: I love the place, with lots of trees and plants. Beautiful and quiet.
Pros: Wonderful, magical location - between a lovely beach and a river that I swam in each day..... Very nice staff and good food. Delightful.
Cons: It woudl be nice to have a beach bar open aftger 4pm....

Pros: Breakfast is perfect. Mr Antônio and Mrs Claudia are very friendly.
Cons: I don't have requirements
Pros: Staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was cozy and clean. Good location
Cons: There was noise coming from the roof because of the wind, weak wifi inside the room
Pros: Very good breakfast and nice atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing against moscitos! :/
Pros: Very warm welcome, the owners are very nice. WiFi is fast. Breakfast is amazing. Beautiful garden and it’s nice and quiet. Super relaxed like the whole village is. Fridge!
Cons: A mosquito net would be nice. WiFi doesn’t reach into the room.
Pros: Excellent place to sleep, very good homemade breakfast! Very nice atmosphere
Just a 15-minute walk from Praia de Santo Antonio Beach and 5 km from Imbassai, Pousada Too Cool offers a buffet breakfast and a bar. Located in Diogo, it provides air-conditioned rooms. All chalets at Too Cool feature either a balcony or a patio and a garden view. Simply styled with timber decor, they are equipped with a minibar and a bathroom. Some are air-conditioned while others offer a fan. The town of Vila is just 10 minutes away on foot and Santo Antônio Beach is 1 km away. Pros: The location is very quiet and tranquil. A lovely walk through the dunes to a beautiful beach with little huts serving fresh coconuts, drinks and authentic bahian food. The service was excellent and Sophia, Nicholas and other staff were very friendly and welcoming. Also they spoke fluent English which made our stay much easier. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Rooms were very clean and ours had a lovely view of the sand dunes. Overall a very good stay and would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway and true Bahian village experience.
Cons: Nothing we had a very happy few days here
Pros: A beautiful quit place next to a small river where we spend others laying down under the full moon light. Perfect breakfast and hammocks that made the whole visit just so relaxed and lovely that we were looking for.
Pros: Amazing room (turkey) with stunning views over river. Friendly staff, good food. A little piece of paradise.
Pros: Great location, 20 minutes walk to the beach, on a little river. Very friendly multilingual manager. Very good breakfast.
Pros: Our second time in this pousada, the first time with our kids, wonderful reception (thank you owners Sophie and Nicolas). It was full since it was a feriado (public holiday) and the other guests were delightful, we talked to many of them and our kids made friends with the other kids very quickly. Wonderful breakfast, home made jobs, we felt like royalty Of course, the best is the private path from the pousada to the dunes which take you to the beach, nobody around, a truly magical experience.
Pros: Exactly the kind of place i wanted.. calm, beautiful, great host, delicious breakfast.. hidden in a region that can have a tourist overload, Diogo is a gem.
Pros: The view is amazing, in the middle of the beautiful nature. Great breakfast and super relaxed atmosphere. Paradise!
Pros: The owner is super nice and helpful. She speaks multiple languages and went the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable and carefree. I can say enough about her hospitality. The fresh breakfast was delicious, clean rooms, wifi, chirping birds, playful dogs, fruit trees, ....everything is amazing.I live a work in the madness of Los Angles city, I was looking for off the beaten track and quite privacy and that's exactly what I found here. Perfect in every way. Cozy, primitive with all the modern necessities.
Cons: Every thing was perfect...now I don't want to go home.

Pros: It's clean, very helpful staff, perfect location and nice facilities.
Cons: I liked everything.
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Pool and beach facilities amazing.
Cons: Maintenance is a bit run down. Breakfast food was mediocre. No instructions on how to get there or available parking options. Last, frustrating that nobody answered our calls day or night.
Pros: Fantastic location on the beach, river and waterfall close by. Good breakfast and a varied meny for lunch and dinner. Friendly staff. Not far from Salvador.
Pros: Excellent location. Closer to the beach isn't possible. Great swimming pool, restaurant and great service in general. Perfect also for families.
Pros: Amazing location, great staff und you literally step outside, walk down to the beach and are in paradise. The fresh fruits rovided for breakfast are great and my personal highlight were the fresh roasted bananas with sugar and cinnamon. English is a slight problem but the super friendly and lovely people that work here try their utmost to help.
Cons: Matresses are super hard and there is no fixed hairdyer. The small portable ones can be provided when asking for it at reception but due to low voltage it takes for ever to dry your hair or the thing nerly burns.
Pros: The view was amazing and the place super clean. Good breakfast as well!
Cons: The bathroom wasn’t so good, but it wasn’t too bad as well.
Pros: nice breakfast. good location.
Cons: a bit expensive for this simplistic type.
Pros: breakfast was good. in front of the beach. reasonable price for drinks.
Cons: we found a used medical needle in the room, that was not removed, even after the first day. the room smelled of mould.
Pros: Locatoin right on the beach
Cons: slow checkin

Imbassai is 15 km from Pousada Marezia, while Costa do Sauipe is 10 km from the property. The nearest airport is Luis Eduardo Magalhães Airport, 77 km from the property.
Pros: Very nice setting, large well-kept nicely gardened compound, good breakfast. Short distance to the seashore, nice for running to and along the beach in the morning. Liked the outdoor bathroom.
Cons: Payment by credit card did not work, but ATM nearby.
Pros: Staff did everything to make the stay in this location (see below) comfortable. Provided good breakfast
Cons: We just wanted an overnight stay not too far away from the Linha verde, and for this purpose it was ok. For a longer stay, one should be aware, that Porto de Sauipe has gone downhill, accommodation and dinner options are few and far between. On the direct way to the beach one goes through abandoned houses, and taking the long way through the village to the beach one feels that this is no attractive place anymore (except for day visitors from close by).

Pros: Imbassai is a very cute village with a gorgeous beach, and the Pousada is at a distance of 2 mins from that beach. Near by is the Sapiranga nature reserve which is very special. Thomas and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful with anything we needed.
Pros: Very good breakfast! Lovely place!

Pros: Charming and large breakfast with fruits and juices from the region, which change every day. Very beautifully laid table and pretty decoration The kindness of the owners and staff Beaches almost deserted even during weekends We ate one of the best moqueca on the beach (recommended by Wellington)
Cons: many mosquitoes despite the mosquito net, air conditioning would be welcome
Pros: Place for those who look for peace and beauty. A minute walk from the desert beach of Santo Antonio. The hosts consist of : 1 extremely pleasant couple, 2 lovely dogs and 1 darling cat. Staff is kind and helpful, and make delicious breakfast, among others. Loved everything, except for leaving.

Pros: Everything else was perfect.
Cons: Bad wifi in rooms.
Pros: People were very nice and friendly, I felt like home The food, moqueca de peixe and bobo de camarão were out of this world. The location is just perfect I highly recommend this place
Cons: I was expecting a higher quality of bedding stuff I also would ad a little charming touch in the decor ( overall)
Pros: Everything really
Pros: Nice and cozy place! Bedroom and bathroom was clean. Towel changes everyday. Good breakfast with breads, season fruits, coffe, milk and regional like baked bananas and goibada. The beach is clean, almost paradisiac. We visited during "winter" season at end of may. The sea is rough, but its ok to an adult who know how to swim, to get in safely. Days with sunny and some showers occasionally. Temperature arround 27· celcius. Wonderful sky at night.
Cons: Excellent location, far away from resorts.
Pros: The property itself is very well laid out, and really is right between the river and beach. We could walk to everything we wanted easily. We were near the less-crowded beach area which was really nice. The breakfast was great, and the check-in and out was really easy. We enjoyed the spaciousness of our hut.
Cons: This does not reflect the property itself, as it was not their music, but it is in a location where you can expect to hear blasting music each night if you are near the river, especially if there is a special event. The music carries across the river from the town. It ranges from a consistent bass thumping, to full on lyrics. The only complaint we have about the hotel itself is that water is not included in your stay. You cannot drink the tap water in Brazil, and it is frustrating that there are no options for free water. They do have a fridge with water and an assortment of other beverages, however, you need to pay for them. There are areas close enough in town to buy your water, but the first night we did not have them and had to use the ones in the fridge.
Located in Mata de Sao Joao, Hotel Resort Costa Dos Coqueiros is a 1-minute drive from Imbassai Beach and 9 minutes from Diogo Dunes. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast and location.
Cons: No elevators.
Pros: The hotel improved the entreteniment area adding more pools and a nice restaurant.
Cons: The bed wasn’t comfortable (cheap mattress).
Pros: The lobby is pretty.
Cons: The pool was dirty; Needs to be cleaned daily; Also need to start giving guests 2 keys to room, not just 1; Bedroom had an extra single bed in room we did not ask for; unnecessary.
Pros: Excellent location, right in the beach, perfect for families with children. Friendly staff, outside area is large, with lots of space for children to play. There is also a large leisure area (pool, chess, tv room, several playgrounds for children, etc.) there are several really nice beaches closeby (santo antonio, praia do forte with its piscinas naturais). The resort is mainly focused on brazilian (and to a lesser extent latin american) visitors. During the low season (august) the hotel is busy during the weekend, when people from salvador come down during the weekend.
Cons: The rooms are relatively small, and the facilities are a bit dated, although well maintained. The offer in the bar is also a bit limited, although the fresh juices are fabulous.
Pros: Quiet e calm
Cons: The price of the dinner.

Pros: Great place, breakfast was plentiful. Super clean. I love it.
