Cons: Everything was really good, we had a great stay
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing. It was a well prepared meal from Jules. Room was super clean and bed was so comfortable. There was a freezer so we could bring iced water to Disneyland. He gave us ride to the bus station several times and kindly let us know bus schedule as well. Jules is an absolutely brilliant and kind host who is the best I ever met.
Cons: My staying was for enjoying Disneyland for 2days and this place is 30 minutes away by driving. Unfortunately, I didn't drive and enjoyed firework until late night(firework stared at 11pm.). It was okay to take a bus (no 59 from bus station L, 2 Euro, 25minutes) infront of the Disneyland but when we arrived at the bus station after midnight, it was difficult to find any taxi or Uber. If you are going to stay at Jules' house, I would like to suggest you take a taxi or Uber from Disneyland (taxi was 40-45 Euro ish, Uber was 30 Euro ish) or come back to the place before midnight.
10.0 Excellent

Don’t hesitate to ask him to do smth special as apply pie)))or pancakes))) it is soooo delicious!!! Thank you for your care!!! Going to stay there next year! And gonna invite my friends too!!!

Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The host was friendly, the room quiet, the bathroom large.
Cons: The layout of the room was awkward. It had two levels, connected by a very narrow staircase. Downstairs there was a very spacious bathroom, but otherwise there was no space to actually spend time. Just a tiny table and a few hard benches. The bedroom was upstairs; it was very small and so low that you ran the risk of bumping your head all the time. Getting to the other side of the bed was not possible without bending over. The breakfast experience was awkward. We had breakfast with a family, sharing the same table and food. We would have appreciated some more privacy at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, newly renovated rooms, pool excellent for kids, breakfast really good, owner nice and tries very hard to please and be friendly, wifi works well, good TV, lovely village location.
Cons: Access to onsite parking through narrow old gateway, 4x4 just about fitted, may not suite large vehicles. Plenty of off street safe parking nearby also so not an issue.
6.2 Good
Pros: Yard with a swing set and pool were great. Breakfast room is well lit and airy, and breakfast was very nice. Owner was very friendly and accommodating, with excellent English
Cons: We stayed in the orange room. The ceiling in the bedroom was so low I could hit my head (I'm 5'5"). The room was very small and claustrophobic feeling with no windows. And there was no top sheet on the bed.

Breakfast outstanding with own made croissants, marmelade, fresh fruits, baguettes, fresh fruit-juices. On request she prepared "creps" for my daughters. We had the Azura-room, which was, spacious, clean with a nice view. Location in Barbizon is good in close proximity of restaurants and just 10-minutes drive from Fontainbleau-castle. For sure we will return for our next visit in Barbizon-area. Merci à vous, Elsie!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and comfortable location
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners went out of their way to ensure that our stay was memorable.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable, with lovely gardens. The fact that the rooms were in a separate building rather than sharing the owners house was nice.
Cons: The pool wasn't made available, there isn't a bar per se and we would have appreciated the offer of a drink after a long journey. You have to travel to eat out on the evening, there is nowhere locally available on foot. The hosts are pleasant but spoke very little English, which makes it very difficult to converse, although we can be polite in French. You really need to be able to speak French to stay here.

Cons: Note that bedrooms are on the second floor, accessible by stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fred and his wife were very nice, the place had lots of charm and was cozy. The tastefully decorated room was small and was missing a place to hang our clothes, but all in all, a perfect, charming stop, and great location with lovely people!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice family house and pleasant hosts. Breakfast was good. Quiet place. Walking distance to Barbizon centre. The rooms are a little bit small, but if you don't plan to spend your days inside, it is not a problem.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the position of the property
Cons: The breakfast could have been better. We had to make our own coffee from a machine - it was ok but the cups were small and we were constantly having to turn on the machine. We got croissants and bread and yogurt, but for the cost I would have expected some fresh fruit prepared and the option of an egg.

Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B was very chic and the aesthetics were lovely. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. We found the hostess was welcoming and the breakfast was amazingly good. There were excellent details and high end touches and the food was wonderfully presented.. The local area, as many will know is famous for its school of painters and therefore the village has a number of artisan shops and a good selection of restaurants. There are super walks in the forest nearby.
Cons: This may be a bit picky there wasn’t tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was a lounge/dinning area which appeared open to guests, though this wasn’t made clear. Also we were unsure if the kitchen was where refreshments could be prepared as a guest. However, there overall experience wasn’t spoilt by this and we will return again.

Pros: Beautiful old farm building, completely renovated. Owners absolutely lovely and welcoming. Very beautifully presented breakfast , pastries, breads and coffee, juice, fruit salad , butter and honey, Nutella . Beautiful room , very clean and quiet . We stayed overnight after a wedding and it was a perfect place . We felt safe and very happy.
Cons: There was nothing to complain about .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Ideal one night stopover on the edge of town in quiet rural location - 15 minutes off the A6 motorway (although nearby we couldn't hear it at all). Large clean family suite with two bedrooms (pitch black at night!) - comfortable beds and a good quality shower. Hosts were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and very good, the owner speaks very good English but the other staff not so much, so good opportunity to brush up on your French.
Cons: Another reviewer mentioned signage and we totally agree - the Farm itself was easy to find but there are several possible entrances into the building - wedding reception rooms etc - but no obvious directions for B&B visitors - a little confusing but we met the owners on their way out to walk their dog so no problem from then on. Breakfast area was at one end of a wedding reception room so surrounded by stacked chairs and tables - but the warm rolls and croissants were a perfect distraction !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was really good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect for my needs. I had just arrived from NYC and needed a nice place to sleep before continuing my drive south. They provide a lovely service and I would recommend it to anyone.

Pros: We arrived during the heatwave in France (40C on arrival). We were due to stay in a cabin in the grounds, but Jean said that it was too hot and that he would put us in one of the rooms in the main house. Very nice and far, far cooler. The breakfast was extremely good (the best we had in France). The dining room was lovely with the double doors leading out on to the terrace where we were introduced to Hubert, one of the horses there. All in all a brilliant experience, and my wife and I would have no hesitation in returning there. A great place to stay if you're visiting Paris.
Cons: Nothing. It was an all-round excellent experience.

7.0 Good
Pros: The location with horses, the domain, the breakfast (but no milk) The owner let us do the checkout later almost 1pm instead of 11am. That was kind

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and there were fresh flowers from the garden, in the room and on the breakfast table.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This is an exceptionally charming property just a few minutes away from Fontainebleau. Quiet, pastoral grounds (with a dozen horses on site!) and spacious, charming, shabby chic lodgings - this place was perfect for us, a couple with a 10-month old baby. Jean was such a gracious host and even took the baby off our hands so we could enjoy the tasty breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable place with a bit of character in the Fontainebleau area.
5.0 Okay
Pros: John the manager was very pleasant as was the fiancé of the owner. The breakfast was good
Cons: We’ve stayed in many 4-star hotels and this certainly does not fall into the same category. There was no air conditioning in the room which was the main reason for us booking this hotel. We asked for a fan instead but it wasn’t available. However the owner of the Maison was curt and almost dismissive. The room was really spacious and well maintained. But the bathroom could do with a little maintenance and a shower curtain.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was clean and the house keeper a lovely man. The hotel has a beautiful outlook!
Cons: The hotel is unstaffed. We arrived within the advised check in times and couldn’t find anyone to let us in. We waited for half an hour for some one to show up. At night we needed to access a fridge and went to the kitchen we found 2 dogs in the kitchen yapping because we disturbed them. As a result the kitchen floor was dirty. Seeing this turned us off eating breakfast. The furniture in the common areas is tired and the outdoor space is untidy and unwelcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hospitality. Spacious rooms, great location and views of rural France with a very large garden that was out of this world! The horses were lovely and beautiful with a nice dog that accompanied us on our check out. Amazing homemade breakfast, I really recommend! Ten stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was brilliant and we couldn’t have asked for better. Continental but so much of it, served on the patio. Jean, the man that met us, was lovely and so friendly. The house is fantastic and typical French,
Cons: Only two things.....we couldn’t have the chalet as it was not available and there was no Air Conditioner, T V or WiFi - so we just didn’t worry ourselves over it.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful location and Château. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Bathroom was poorly maintained. Taps and shower dripping so much that water was turned off when we arrived. got the feeling this is a work in progress. Note that the residence is not staffed full time in the building. Contact is via people in a lodge away from the building. Check in is at a set time and we were late due to traffic but owner stayed on.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are lovely, nice and big, with a stylish decor. Restaurant was reasonably priced and lovely food. Children enjoyed the swimming pool after a long hot day at Disney.
Cons: The hotel takes pre-payment two days before you go. This wouldn’t be a problem but when you check out they take payment again. Hence two payments are then outstanding from the bank. Granted they cancel the previous one, but that takes two weeks to go back into your bank account. If you are on a budget this could become a problem. My advice is pay in full in advance or be prepared to have two payments out your bank for two weeks. I have also read other reviews that had the same problem. If the hotel kept the first payment they would get a lot more 5* reviews.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was great. Views and location excellent.
Cons: Kettle provided but no tea , coffee or milk to make a drink in arrival. Chair in the suite stained and buttons missing from the upholstery. Unable to wash used crockery as no plug, washing up liquid or tea towel. Stone cold scrambled eggs. Surprised that the beds not made during our stay .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous rooms, excellent pool in hot weather
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: The place was quiet, good location.
Cons: The fridge was filthy and the kitchen area was very ‘tired ‘. The cistern on the toilet leaked due to not being maintained and therefore there was the sound of running water all night. The whole place felt and looked like it was I need of some maintenance. At a total of over 550 euros for a 3-day break, I expected better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had stayed here in 2012 and returned this week, we were very pleased and extremely happy with the renovation to a very high standard.
Cons: Charge for tennis.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our garden suite was beautiful, It was very clean and the aircon worked well as we stayed there at the time of the recent heatwave, My husband loved the golf courses there and played every day. There is plenty of parking and the complex has a very nice pool and restaurant. It is around 15 to 20 minutes drive from Disney.
Cons: It might be useful to know that your towels do not get changed or the place cleaned for the duration of your stay unless you pay a supplement. It would be helpful if this was noted on the website before you book. The wifi reception in our room was very poor,
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location for our stopover and for visiting EuroDisney. Only negative, limited kitchenware in first night, no kettle, saucepan, only 1 mug- complained and was quickly resolved the next morning. It should have been checked before arrival though.
4.5 Okay
Pros: bed linen was clean
Cons: the rooms were ok, but bathrooms are terrible.everything old, broken and rusty. matraces were awfull, so couldnt get good sleep breakfast overpriced, as you get very poor quality and cheap food
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Incredible - INCREDIBLE breakfast!!! It was enormous with amazing fresh food, condiments and juice made by the owners on the property from local produce. Really comfy bed. Fantastic hosts. Quiet, easy to find, relaxing. The internet was fast and stable.
Cons: That's tough - I'm struggling to name anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was outstanding, prompt, attentive. Owners were a pleasure to talk to always went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Although I spoke to them in French - they told me that they do speak English. Property is rich in history with period furniture - transports one back to the 18th century. Breakfast was absolutely delicious- most products (quiche, jam, yogurt, fruit salads) were made by owners. Really ideal for a great getaway- close to EuroDisney and Paris.

Pros: Good all round accommodation and a charming friendly proprietor. Only disappointment was that the pool was not in use, seems it opens in June which was not clear from the information provided.
7.5 Good
Pros: Although we has not asked in advance, the owner managed to prepare a very good dinner since the closest restaurant was several kms away and it was rainy and windy outside and certainly not the right time to go out...
Cons: The weather was not good to say the least...but not the owners’ fault

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and friendly staff
Cons: It was very noisy during the night - it was a noise that went on and off at regular intervals and affected our sleep. We don't know what the noise was (sounded like planes taking off) but think it was probably to do with the heating or hot water systems. Very disappointing as everything else was great.
6.8 Good
Pros: Close to highway and train station to Paris. Very nice staff
Cons: Uncomfortable bed, broken and curved
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was really comfy
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Bath was chipped. Room smelt bad on arrival. Would liked to have had some drinking water in the room. TV remore control didn't work. Most of the hotel lights were off, especially in the room corridors. Hotel furniture looked dated and cheap.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and helpful lady in the reception, was flexible on our checkout
8.3 Excellent
Pros: it is good to stay. clean bed. good service. big restroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were good. Both on the telephone and on arrival. The lift was out of order but they insisted on carrying our bag upstairs.
Cons: Someone had smoked in the bedroom.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: There was a bed, toilet and shower........
Cons: Dirty bathroom. Shower leaked all over the floor as the sealant along shower door was decayed completely. Hairdryer blew cold and handle broke constantly during use. Dirt all over bathroom including walls. Random rusty screws in walls. Towels old, thin and like sandpaper. Soap in bathroom useless. No shampoo or conditioner. Plug in the bath was completely blocked with hair so the bath would fill to my knees when I’m the shower. Bed uncomfortable. TV consistently lost connection. Wi-Fi almost completely useless and with some terrible Norton antivirus privacy setting preventing me from visiting the internet without sharing all my details to the world. No bottled water. Smell of ciquerette smoke constantly in hall and room. Lighting on stairs poor and dangerous. Doors slam constantly throughout hall. Decor very old and furniture outdated and dirty. Lighting terrible throughout including in the room. One of the worst hotel rooms I’ve stayed in outside of North Africa. Do I need to continue?
7.5 Good
Cons: Bathroom a bit dated and the shower could have more umph!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel in an excellent picturesque location. Fantastic for business and holiday. Restaurant is equally excellent. Room was huge, bed excellent, facilities great too.
Cons: Prices in bar are very high - €20 a shot of Black Label!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, polite and knowledgeable front staff for non french speaking clients, room excellent size with all required facilities, very quiet and excellent air conditioning
Cons: Unfortunately and based only on the room we occupied there was a need for attention to detail i.e. power point not operational, power point facia pulled away from wall, no water pressure to bidet, no coffee pods/tea bags in room. On the second morning no cooked option was offered for breakfast and which had been the case the first day. Visual inspection would indicate property is tired!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: the cleanliness and the people welcoming and helping us at the reception, in the early morning (at 5am)
Cons: the location was difficult to find and leave
7.0 Good
Pros: Great location in centre of village
Cons: Pretentious staff. It’s a run off the mill wayside inn.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was outstanding and very helpful and very friendly. Location was gorgeous: very peaceful, lots of interesting paths through ancient woods and beautiful houses in the town of Barbizon, where you can also find five- six art galeries. The hotel had two heated swimming pools, the outdoor pool surrounded by marvelous trees. Excellent breakfast and our room was perfect. One -detail- though important: the curtains should cover the windows better. O Yes, try the restaurant, it offers exquisite meals.
Cons: Though the hotel is excellent, prices can also then be a bit too high.....a bit...okay, this is a matter of discussion.....
7.0 Good
Pros: The location inside the village of Barbizon. The staff, very kind. The decoration. The bed.
Cons: We ordered the breakfasts in the room and they arrived 45 minutes after our call with cold coffee, cold hot chocolate and cold eggs and the wrong muesli (we called at 9AM and it says that you have to place your order for breakfast before 1AM so it was already nice to accept from them). We told the concierge and they decided not to charge us the 2 breakfasts, so it was nice from them too. Swimming pool need refurbishment as ceiling looks dirty and paintings old. Old TV in the room too. Bathroom old.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent
Cons: No coffee in the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel much improved since the previous visit. Great reception staff, breakfast still needs to be better. Rooms and Spa being refurbished and restaurant reopening. Look forward to our next visit.
Cons: Breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We'd stayed there several times previously, and would do so again, as it's the nicest hotel in Barbizon.
Cons: It's not quite as smart as it once was - but nothing really to criticise
