Staying with a young family, twin boys age 7. It was great to find so many things to do...most of which were included within the cost of the holiday. No
We loved the fact that children are very much welcomed into the hotel. The swimming pool and hair salon (staff especially) was fantastic! Only thing which was a little disapointing even with the window open in our room was it was really hot at night while trying to get to sleep, but I think for the few days we stayed we had such lovely weather which was a little unexpected!
Plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied
Luxury from the time I left the car. The hotel looks good and is good. Very impressive entrance and extensive grounds.
the facilties and the food in the brasserie the price of drinks, especially a glass of wine.
The Victorian Spa The room we were allocated had an adjoining door and althogh it was locked the next room was allocated to a family. It wasn't a very relaxing stay for us as you could hear everything through the door. I don't think it was a good idea to put a family and a couple in rooms like that.
Rooms neat and modern Charging for use of pool is outrageous, portion size in restaurant is small. Hotel has lost it's charm.
the general ambiance, friendlieness, the food, facilities and where it is situated
the food was excellent although the "hub" was not value for money there was no presentaion with the food. just the smell of dampness out side the room
The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there is so many activities to participate in. Our bed was very uncomfortable and hot water seemed to come and go!!
Fantastic relaxed atmosphere. Meal in the restaurant was superb - butternut squash risotto was out of this world. Room was very small - should have been a single room!
Room was very small. Only had single headboard so perhaps was single room made in to double
very comfortable bed, good food and lovely quiet pool-we had it to ourselves! the rather unattractive extension to the original castle that makes up a large part of the accommodation was a bit of a let down
location was great with a fabulous view from the top floor restaurant, the surrounding garden was also very nice and located within short driving distance from loch earn, the trossachs national park, famous grouse experience service in restaurant was very slow, food was not as good as hoped from advertisements and room decor and size was more travel lodge than castle. Also lots of noise from corridor and adjoining rooms, there was a large gap between the bottom of our door and the floor!
The roof top restaurant and bar were extremely comfortable . Very good service, polite staff and fantastic panoramic views. It would be a place I would consider returning to . Not easy to find within the town!
Excellent Staff, cleanliness. No Pool. Dinner three of the ladies meals/steak/scallops overcooked, roast root veg turned out to be minute pieces of frozen veg. Very poor did not hav dinner on second night.
staff were very pleasant and restaurant was lovely, the roof terrace was lovely too look out off if the weather was nicer. pool and spa were amazing
Staff were excellent first class service. Food was also first class. Overall 11 out of 10 ***** None
Beautiful setting and lovely old hotel Room was in n'new wing' and was very small. Bathroom was compact but ok.
Reception staff extremely helpful in arranging my breakfast earlier than served, as I had to leave early for business Having to go outside to the pool, that wasn't clear from the description
We had a lovely time staying at Yanns hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and clean and very comfortable. The hotels restaurant was gorgeous too, and food was delicious! To top it all off the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Personal attention was excellent. Our stay was too short!!
We really enjoyed the luxurious yet relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at Yann's. The food, ambience and service in the restaurant were all exceptional. Absolutely faultless.
The outstandingly good food and the friendly and comfortable atmosphere We did not have time to stay longer
breakfast cold room in the attic, had to boil a kettle to have a shave (hot water went cold after a few seconds. We put on the booking that we would arrive at around 7.30pm and could they book a table for dinner for 8pm. either booking.com didnt forward to the hotel or the hotel didnt read it as the restaurant was closed (wedding) - we were offered a plate of cheese and crackers
The friendliness of the welcome and the comfortable, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated rooms and public areas. Lovely sittingroom with open fire. We liked everything
Hospitality excellent, good atmosphere, homely and relaxed. More milk needed in bedrooms!!
Excellent in every respect. Outstanding cuisine, comfort and a first class service with young smiling staff! Exceptional. No
The helpfulness of the host. The breakfast was freshly made and plenty of it
Very warm welcome from Michael. Comfortable room with everything you might need for a stay of one night or one week. Very nice cooked breakfast which kept us full all day. Would return there no question.
Fantastic welcome and great craic with owner None
Breakfast was very good. Shower were not functioning.
We came to stay to watch the junior ryder cup, so unfortunately didnt have time to use ll the facilities in the hote. our lodge was lovely, plenty of room, lovely designed, we ate in the restaurant, food and service excellent
Beautilfully furnished, spacious lodges in secluded setting. Very child-friendly. Relaxing surroundings and great pool. Staff friendly and helpful.
I must point out that my friends and I stayed in one of lodges on the estate which was superb. The hotel itself seemed to be a bit staid and a bit dark. There seemed to be no play area for children - an in-keeping adventure playground area within the estate would be good
We arrived at the Estate and were immeidately impressed with the surroundings. The lodge was beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed and the staff were friendly and helpful. My children loved the setting and the pool. We stayed at Duchally during the worst snow to hit Scotland in years and we ended up snowed in. Despite this the hotel were excellent and really took care of us all.
We liked: the range of facilities; the friendliness of the staff; the convenience of the location; and the comfort of the lodge.
Warm welcome, including a welcome dram! Quite nice to sit round a table with other guests for breakfast, which was very satisfying. More flexibility over the time of breakfast
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and very nice French restuarant next door.Very convienent for short walk into town.
Superb hospitality, very clean & comfortable, fantastic breakfast, friendly hosts
Attractive & clean room. Poor placement of furniture. Twin room but only one chair and not easily accessed.
Centrally located. Breakfast staff very pleasant Sullen reception staff. Shabby entrance hall and generally throughout the hotel. How many hotels have plastic(dusty)flowers on windowsills. Room was small, bathroom stank of urine and the floor was sticky. The shower mat was so old parts of it were stuck to the surface of the bath. Disgusting.
Great people and service. Nice welcoming drinks! Fantastic recommendatiion for restaurant next door. None
Modern bathroom with excellent shower. Good breakfast. Excellent restaurant next door - but you need to book. Feather pillows as allergic to thm.
Very welcoming and the room was fine. very enjoyable stay in beautiful room. Superb
