Pros: The warmth of the welcome, the view from the conservatory/lounge, the decor and furnishings; the generous provision of toiletries and kitchen accessories, e.g. tin foil, washing up liquid, etc.; the ground floor twin room and bathroom, ramps in the garden; the enthusiastic acceptance of our little dog - and the location, near Crieff: ideal for a touring holiday in the outstanding landscape of Perthshire and the west. The trouble with giving a review like this is that the cottage will become even more popular and might be booked next time we want to visit there!

Pros: The cottage is located just a few miles from conveniences, and what a great central location for the day trips we planned. The views from the living/lounge room were amazing, and changed constantly depending on the weather. We felt right at home from the moment we met our host, Matt. The cottage may be located in what some consider "the middle of nowhere", but I say then leave me in "nowhere" because it is as beautiful as we could imagine. Greg, Deb & Brett (Illinois, USA)

Cons: The moths invading the room!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly always smiling , rooms were clean fresh smell , great breakfast to full you up for long drive home x
Cons: Nothing all was good x
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was good. Parking was very good. Good that the facilities in the hydro are complementary as it's the sister hotel.
Cons: When I checked in i found myself waiting ten minutes for someone to appear, the exact same for the bar, fancied a drink but had to go looking for someone. The breakfast was terrible, egg not cooked, beans stone cold, then for a latte or cappuccino you have to pay an extra 2 pounds, what's that all about, I've spent a fortune in your hotel and you cant just give me a latte.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and quiet and not too far from their sister hotel Crieff Hydro - so you can use their facilities. Loved the room we had - lovely big bed for us with mini fridge (handy - so we could store our dog’s chicken pouches) and a separate area with bunk beds for the grandkids. Also tea and coffee facilities were good - kettle and coffee machine :-)
Cons: The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the glass tumblers in the bathroom. With a tiled floor and two young boisterous grandsons - I was worried about breakages. I’d have preferred them to be hard wearing plastic tumblers. Luckily they didn’t break them but.....for future reference - may be worth changing?
10.0 Excellent

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very good and attentive. Good range of cooked food which was top quality. Car parking was good and the hotel was within easy reach of the town centre.
Cons: Fruit choice at breakfast could have been wider. The WiFi was a bit iffy - super fast when running but sometimes not available and requiring re-connection frequently.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: garden
Cons: Saturday breakfast was too slow
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Nan & Graham were the most hospitable couple I've stayed with. Nan even brought me a hot toddy to soothe my cold! Friendly setting with a social living room for everyone to relax in. Beautiful garden with red squirrels to watch. Nan is always at the ready with a warming cup of tea. Lovely friendly place to stay. Really appreciated the call to say I'd left my glove. Thank you.

Fantastic hosts and I will be back for sure.

Pros: Michael is a very nice and most friendly host who helped whenever he could (parking the car in the back yard, recommending restaurants, washing the dirty orienteering clothes). It was a pleasure talking to him about his former activities as a golf professional. He is interested what his guests are doing and even visited the local orienteering event to cheer us up.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was nice
Cons: Room was dated, cheap looking.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was perfect, the grounds were beautiful bed was very comfortable. Salmon was lovely
Cons: My room was NOT as clean as it could have been. There was a dirty corner in my en suite when I arrived and was still there when I left. The carpet in the room was dusty I noticed when I bent down to change a plug. One day I was left without biscuits the next day teabags. Really not what i would have expected from a highly rated hotel like Knock Castle. The food left a bit to be desired. The bacon was very dry and solid very difficult to cut or get onto your fork. Had a Classic Prawn Cocktail no sauce or brown bread served with it until it was requested. Ordered a Beef Burger served on a dry toasted brioche roll no butter, relish, mayo and a very little side salad almost impossible to eat as it was so dry. Requested relish none available but the staff did manage to find a small amount of mayo very disappointing Had chocolate brownie sweet one evening and the bottom of it was solid. All so very disappointing
