Very modern hotel.Friendly & helpful staff. Comfortable, clean & spacious rooms. Close to the beach & an easy stroll into the old town & castle in Denia. Will use again.
The room was clean, with a kitchen area (not expected) however there was no facilities to make drinks in teh room (why a kitchen area). Staff were difficult to find and not helpfull with the language. Tried to charge fro breakfast which was included.
I appreciated very much being upgraded to a junior suite which was very quiet despite the beginning of the holiday season and the hotel starting to be busy.
Friendly staff. Wonderful spa facilities. Spacious tasteful accommodation. No shower. Approach road is grotty with delapidated buildings and gives a bad first impression. Hotel itself is very smart.
The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a very large and comfortable room. The pool area is really nice with plenty of shade provided by lage palm trees. Would definitly use hotel again. Surrounding area not very pleasant at night
Excellent suite, great b'fast, good location, staff very helpful. Very relaxing difficult to book spa treatments at preferable times, air conditioning not activiated in the hotel
Restuarant 'a` la carte' menu, poor quality food badly prepared, Menu of the Day mostly cold dishes. Hence restuarant hardly used. Cafe good.
Cleanliness of the hotel in general. staff very helpful and plesant. Marbel floors outside rooms made it very noisy. Also location of the hotel, a taxi was required to get to the centre.
Nice Pool area. Comfortable, quiet air conditioning. Closeness to a lovely beach. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Old style TV. Some poor surrounding areas due to building and dogs.
We were able to walk into Denia easily from the hotel. Our room opened onto the garden. It was very quiet in the hotel.
Denia has a more Spanish feel to it than the Malaga Area No
Wonderful location. Beautiful hotel. Spacious room with incredible view. Terrific breakfast. Best coffee in Spain.
Room good, view excelent, Breakfast was a nightmare we were told it was from 08:00 - 11:00, we went at 09:45 there was very little left even the payable extras on the menu where not available. No hotel information in room I.e hotel facilities, breakfast/dining times.
Large room and bathroom, well appointed & Tastefully decorated.Very good location. No
The view from the balconey and the harbour.you could go out for a walk round the town and to the marina.
A great place to stay
The spacious room, the helpfulness of the staff in Reception and the Restaurant. Unable to access WIFI in our room (first floor). No natural yoghurt at breakfast.
Hotel handsome architecture and presentation, the location was excellent. Room was very spacious with excellent view of the car park and the sea. Room furnishing and comfort was very" faded hollywood", the bed was the worse I have ever slept on in a five star hotel. Breakfast pastries were giving a meaning to the french expression "Etouffe Chretiens" Would recommend this Hotel with reservations.
Beautifully stylish, comfortable room, very friendly staff, very well positioned near town and port areas. would have loved an area to sunbathe in or a balcony
The peace and quiet was wonderful even though the hotel is very central. We shall certainly be going back. The furniture in the room is beginning to show its age, the paint is rubbing off here and there. The satellite tv remote didn't work. But these are petty things which did not spoil our stay.
The hotel was stylish, modern, clean and in an excellent location. The staff were helpful and friendly. Although the breakfast was good it did not match the standard of the rest of the hotel.
Lovely seaside village with a castle overlooking the sea. Hotel is a perfect central location - ask for a room facing the harbor! Wonderful staff, modern rooms and delicious breakfast!
The high quality of the hotel restaurant and the view from the room
The location of this hotel is excellent, and the decor is unbelievable. Wish we could have stayed here longer, but it was not in our plans. Would love to go back for a longer visit.
I have stayed at many hotels Denia and without doubt El Raset is the very best and the hotel staff are the politest in the area.
The hotel is absolutely stunning - completely unexpected, really!
Really nice staff, proactive help to visitors. Excellent breakfast. Central but quite location
The hotel is in a good location as there were many bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and it is also close to the beach and town. Fantastic view from the room. The hotel is very modern although I felt it was only superfically cleaned. Lots of glass which needed a polish! The downside of the location was that it was very noisy due to being so close to the road. Binmen emptying the wheelie bins outside the room at 3am each morning and rush hour was deafening.
Design and breakfast, location price
A chic hotel which was extremely relaxing and everything was done in the best possible taste.
Everything! Could be 5star. personal, friendly. No. A little difficult to find but worth the search. a piece of heaven.
Good central location, great breakfast, friendly staff, great designer furniture and artwork. Lovely courtyard for al fresco dining or pre dinner drinks in summer. Limited to no car parking. No info in rooms in any language re hotel facilities, breakfast tiimes, tv/satallite info, local info etc. Two lamps in room didn't work and were left unlpugged each day but were plugged back in by cleaner for 10 days but still didn't work. The web site failed to say that we were booking on a Fiesta week. The street parties / street disco outside the bedroom window went on for 7 nights until 2 or 3 am each night, which left us with sleep deprivation! Overall two much style, not enough substance.
It was a gem of a place . The staff were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast and dinners were amazing and beautifully presented. The Hotel is exquisitely maintained, lovely dining rooms, and outdoor terraces. Located near a Castle, within walking distance to the port and great shopping. Hope to go back one day. There was a slight problem with putting telephone calls through to my room.
Beautiful hotel, and garden restaurant. We've had a great time here!
The atmostphere and in particular the coutyard for breakfast/dinner was beautiful
The hotel is quite different to many others we've used in being full of quirky character. Our suite was large with comfortable beds and a great shower. There was a wood fire in the lounge which made it a pleasant place to have a late drink in thr evening. Nothing not to like - this is a one-off place to stay n close proximity to a bustling city centre. Nothing that would stop us going back. There was a large dinner party on our last night which meant that we couldn't use the lounge - which was a dissappointment. It wouldn't stop us returning.
The room was comfortable and the breakfast was basic I did not like that the doors had very poor lock, and that the hotel owner tried to get to the room in the middle of the night. Also, the air conditionere is a bit noisy.
The room was a very good size and comfortable. Good location. Lovely 'feel'. Very friendly and accommodating. Difficult to find by car. The garage was awkward when two other cars using it. Breakfast could have been more interesting - croissant or bread. No mention of availability of evening meals but maybe they don't cater for one person but only for groups.
Hotel Chamarel was a fabulous hotel, very atmospheric, beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. No!
Building of character in the old part of Denia. Difficult to approach by car and park.
Being able to breakfast late, and the content. The location in the old part of town. No parking in the vicinity (because car park behind hotel being dug up but we had cases and golf bags and the closest parking is currently 10 mins on foot).
Central location, had a bit of character. Nothing
Reception very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast varied and fresh.Room very pleasant and traditional and extremely quiet. The lighting in bedroom was extremely low if you have poor sight may be a problem.
The hotel was beautifully and tastefully decorated with some very interesting artwork and collections of antiquities. Very well situated too, being in the heart of the old town and a stone's throw from restaurants and places of interest. I couldn't fault the hotel
Good location, retro style :-)
clean and nice, new and good standard, good position for walks to town center and the castle. It isn´t nice to have to go outside to smoke. There could be a room or place with an aircleaning- machine or a balcony.
It vwas comfortable, with all the necessary facilities.
A good room with balcony, friendly staff and nice and quiet.
Clean, modern, safe garage parking, internet, cheap The walls between the rooms are very thin. We were woken at 6.45 by two people in the next room talking.
An excellent centrally located budget hotel, with rooms of a high standard, a robust continental breakfast included. Parking is problematic, but so is Denia everywhere.
The lady receptionist made us most welcome and was a great help throughout our stay, nothing was a problem for her. The continental breakfast was quite good Nothing
its location to all local facilities were great very clean + freindly
Very friendly staff, clean hotel. Good value for money. Near to the beach and harbor and restaurants.
Cleanliness of the rooms. Efficient friendly staff
Friendly and helpful staff, well equipped room, 10 to 15 min walk to town centre, excellent value
Good stay, everything all right, basic amenities. The only bad thing I can say is about the road to get to the hotel: it is terrible and apparently several cars have broken down trying to get to the hotel. Better park a bit further away.
proximity to town and beach. All meals served if required.Breakfast included in price was very adequate.Hot showers Bedding was pretty poor.No proper bottom sheet, more a mattress cover which had a hole in it. A shower mat would be greatly appreciated.
Location (on the beach) but that was all, nothing more. The wife of the owner and serving girl where very friendly. The owner and a Spanish person where very unfriendly to all guests. No TV and no hot shower!!!! Yes, 2 snowing Spanish TV stations. Shower gives poorly cold water and nearly no hot water. So it is nearly not possible the take a normal (hot) shower. Further is the hotel noisy, very poorly insulated so you hear everything from all the other rooms. It is impossible the sleep all night trough without been waking up by other guests. As mentioned was the owner fare from friendly. A good morning or good day he hasn’t learnt. By asking questions he answers unfriendly. The restaurant was bad and fare from Spanish but more typical cheap English food. I use around the 160 nights/rooms a year world wide but have seeing seldom so many bad things in one hotel. Yes, in 50thies but the Spanish food was at least very good.
I found the hotel exellent value and best of luck to the new team at the oasis thanks for all Florin
No wireless internet or satellite tv, But stated there was in the hotel information, So very disapointed.
Friendly staff, value for money, excellent location, good food. Mosquitoes in our room but I sorted the problem with suitable spray
The location, right near the beach. This is like a beach bar with rooms for rent. Very laid back Goa seventies style. Nice breakfast outside in the sun looking out at the beach. I didn't have balcony or sea-view, or pool view, despite claims. But some rooms did have very nice views of the beach, and there were gardens to sit about in.
It was so close to the beach and the staff were excellent The air conditioning unit was very loud and it was difficult to sleep at night with it on.
Some of the rooms are very poor, a couple in the next room had a dog in with them!!
Frendly staff, chef was nice, the girl who was on duty for breakfast was exellent and very polite. Smoking while people were dining was very off putting, beds were not comfortable and could do with some improvement in that department
Recently refurbished to a good standard, excellent location, close to everything, room very clean. Rooms could've been a bit more spacious and the bar could've been open a bit longer.
friendly, helpful staff, position of the hotel small room, parking quite far from hotel
Very central to the beach, shops, cafe's and bars etc. No service in reception at night. our keycard did not function and we were locked out until 3-30 in the night. Some days at breakfast, choice of food was very limited.
location directions on how to find it
modern, clean, friendly staff and good location bar was closed in the evening and my t.v could only work on one channel
Location Bathroom was too small - could not sit on the toilet properly as it was partly obstrusted by a wall
Not a lot - nice balcony but not really useable. Tiny shower, threadbare towels and sheets, hugely noisy recycling refuse collection every morning at about 1am, and then a second again hugely noisy normal refuse collection early morning. Blocked drain in wash hand basin, never anyone around to report the fault.
It was close to the castle and town centre. No hot water for showering either on arrival or next morning - staff didn't seem concerned or willing to help so cancelled second nights stay.
This hotel should have been around 30 euros not 70 the room had no air con or fans and it was so hot i mainly sat in the shower all night. The noice was so loud that you could not sleep. People fighting in the bar down stairs, I did not sleep all night and in fact was quite scared as on a number of occasions people who were drunk tried to get into the room i hopefully suspect through mistake or there own room. I would not recomend this hotel there are far better places to stay at the prices the ask.
Clean, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Shower a bit small but ok
nothing to recommend about this hotel
Free WLan Small Bed and expensive price, no fridge in room
We liked the cleanliness & the non intrusive staff. We found that the Hotel was a little out of the way from the Town centre
Staf were very helpful
