Denia Hotels

We were able to walk into Denia easily from the hotel. Our room opened onto the garden.

It was very quiet in the hotel.

The room was clean, with a kitchen area (not expected) however there was no facilities to make drinks in teh room (why a kitchen area). Staff were difficult to find and not helpfull with the language. Tried to charge fro breakfast which was included.

Room was too hot, air conditioning seemed to have no effect. The man at the front desk was more likely to ignore you than be of help. Couldnt get parked in the hotel car park, as there was a wedding function on and no spaces left for gests!

Ambience of hotel and comfort on public areas . Very stylish public areas.

Air con in bedroom did not work and although the lighting was very elegant it was not very practical and there was no mirror in bedroom to sit at to use for female requirements . We had a superior junior suite at the front of the hotel at it was very noisy from dogs barking all night and traffic.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and efficiently run, light bright and spacious. Staff very pleasant and breakfasts superb. Views from the rooms very pleasant.

it is a very good hotel. if i have time, i will go back again.

i am a smoker, and unfortunately there is no any smoking area in the hotel and i had to go out of the building (in cold weather) to smoke a cigaret.

Reception very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast varied and fresh.Room very pleasant and traditional and extremely quiet.

The lighting in bedroom was extremely low if you have poor sight may be a problem.

It was a lovely, peaceful, quiet hotel, away from the main centre of Denia.

There were no towels supplied for the pool. It would have been nice to have some.

We liked the character, location and secure parking facility. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There were no tea and coffee making facilities within the room.

The location was spectacular as was the view from our terrace. The staff were extremely helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the size and location of our terrace and I think the hotel should do more to promote this excellent feature.

The warmth and friendliness of this family-run hotel plus the wonderful location looking right onto the beach and with superb coastline view. The restaurant was very good!

The hotel was excelent the staff were very good and pleasant the area round the hotel was clean and safe to walk arround in the gardens and pool area were first class.

Close enough to the action, but far enough from the crowds. Great staff. Excellent 'old world' feel exterior, not your standard hotel/motel look. Great value for money. Secured, free parking.

The walls between the rooms are very thin. We were woken at 6.45 by two people in the next room talking.

The spacious room, the helpfulness of the staff in Reception and the Restaurant.

Unable to access WIFI in our room (first floor). No natural yoghurt at breakfast.

Nice clean modern decor, but a little out of the way otherwise good.

Staff were very helpful, room was basic but very clean we were looking for a house so did not stay much in hotel. Restuarant was nice and the food was good.

Veryfriendly staff, rooms modernly furnitured, close to the beach. Free WiFi, good value for money. Good parking.

A bit out of town, pretty thin walls, pretty noisy architecture. Breakfast should not be called breakfast, maybe that was because of off season. (April)

I thought that the hotel was very well run and just right for my needs,the staff were very courteous

There was nothing happening at the bar so i did not feel like having a drink there which is a shame as there is nowhere locally that I would to go to for a drink. I would have liked fresh coffee at breakfast

It was a gem of a place . The staff were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast and dinners were amazing and beautifully presented. The Hotel is exquisitely maintained, lovely dining rooms, and outdoor terraces. Located near a Castle, within walking distance to the port and great shopping. Hope to go back one day.

There was a slight problem with putting telephone calls through to my room.

Service was so good that whem ever we will go to Denia. We will stay in the Hotel Costa Blanca.

We liked the cleanliness & the non intrusive staff.

We found that the Hotel was a little out of the way from the Town centre

It was close to the castle and town centre.

No hot water for showering either on arrival or next morning - staff didn't seem concerned or willing to help so cancelled second nights stay.

Some of the rooms are very poor, a couple in the next room had a dog in with them!!

We liked the location on the best side of Javea with good views to the coast and to Montgo Mountain. We liked the location of the cafe/breakfast room with its balcony and also the location of the pool. The bedrooms are large and air conditioned with a private balcony and luxury en suite bathroom. The rooms are double glazed and have electric shutters for overnight peace and quiet. Nearby barking dogs can be a nuisance. The reception staff spoke good English and were generally helpful though not proactive. The cleaners and handymen were very helpful and friendly. Car parking within the hotel estate is easy and handy for the rooms.

There are a lot of stone steps down to the bedroom levels and this can be difficult to negotiate with suitcases etc. It is not a hotel for the disabled. The spa is pricey and not sufficiently promoted to guests either before or during our stay. There is no fitness equipment in the spa. The breakfasts were expensive and very restricted. There was no consistency in the buffet food provided from day to day. The serving staff spoke little English and were completely passive. Guests have to ask for anything that runs out eg milk and also for tea and coffee - nothing is offered. The sun loungers around the pool are of poor quality, uncomfortable, and are not cleaned or maintained. The pool itself is small and not up to the quality of this hotel.

Service and beauty of the property

Very convenient location, close to shops and beach. The Hotel was clean and staff helpful.

The large comfortable lounge was also a smoking area so this was not good for those who find the smell unpleasant.

Loved the location and the view over the bay and resort. The reception on checking in when we were warmly greeted and given a room with a great view. All six scores ranked Excellent above should Very Good at least but as there is no such box to tick they got Excellent. Excellent is perfection and only rarely merited by any aspect of any organisation. We hope to return next Spring.

08.00 start for breakfast is a little later than one would expect, 07.30 would be better.
