Pros:It was very clean and safe.
Cons:The Internet was a bit slow. A pool for the kids.

Pros:Booked 2 rooms for less than $200 in the month of June. Staff was friendly and allowed us to have 3 parking passes which they didn’t have to do. Hotel sits right off the highway so it’s easy to find and it’s about a half mile from Dewey Beach. Beds were comfortable and rooms was clean.
Cons:Nothing negative to say, just don’t expect a luxurious hotel. However for the price and location, I’ll be booking again in the future.

Pros:Sea Esta IV was clean and appeared to have had a face lift, at some point. During my time there, it was also quiet. Except for the 2 problems I'll mention next, it was a great value for the money, and close to my family's reunion beach house.
Cons:A/C - From inside my room, I notice that a lot of daylight could be seen around the rim of the wall air conditioner. (Their A/C units are positioned low to the ground.) Upon inspection, I realized there was lots of room there for small sized creepy crawlers to enter and exit my room. Not good. Needed caulking of some sort! Fire Alarm - At about 5:50 AM on my last morning there, Aug. 23, 2017, the fire alarm went off. All guests sleepily exited into the parking lot. And the fire alarm continued to ring and ring, loudly. After about maybe 10 minutes more of listening to this neighborhood-waking alarm, I went to the office door. A sign said no hotel staff would be at the Sea Esta IV till 9 AM, and to call a certain p[hone # in case of emergencies. So, I did. A man answered, and I told him what was happening at the Sea Esta IV. His sole comment was, O.K., I'll come down. It was then that I realized, if I hadn't called, we could have all been out in the parking lot for a long time! Evidently, the hotel alarm does not alert anyone, except the guests. Not even the fire department. What if this had been a real fire!!! After about 15" more, the alarm stopped. A staff person finally came out of the hotel office, and only said, "O.K. folks". It was clear to me that only a few guests could have heard him. He didn't walk out into the parking lot and get everyone's attention, he made no general announcement so all could hear, made no apology, didn't offer of an explanation, nor mention if it was safe to return to our rooms,.........no nothing except a low volume, "O.K. folks". I was left wondering if their alarm was only for smoke, or if it also detected "gas" fumes"? At this, I asked him if this sort of thing happens often? While walking away from me, he answered something like, "...... only when we want to wake everybody up". ???????? Point is, obviously I'm glad they have a fire alarm! But, that it doesn't alert anyone except the guests, isn't good enough. If there are no staff at the hotel in the late hours, with an old fire alarm system that probably was designed for 24/7 hotel staff, it needs some revision! And employees who can communicate well with guests would also help.

6.2 Okay
Pros:We will return because beach visits do not require elegance for the brief amount of time actually spent in the room. We have had good luck on previous visits - this was a surprising exception. The door locks were loose (Rm. 148), but my wife repaired them. The AC did not work, but management replaced it. One of the beds was not made up, discovered only at bedtime.
Cons:I do not have high expectations for beach motels. Usually our stay here has been all right. I guess they had an off week. They need to keep their heads up as aging facilities attract clientele with consistent expectations.
