9.5 Excellent (685 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Vakarufalhi Maldives in Vakaru, you'll be by the ocean and minutes from Vakarufalhi Island Beach, and close to Maafushivaru Island Jetty. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had the all-inclusive package and it was great. There are some restrictions - as per usual, but overall the experience was wonderful. The buffet was great - lunch and dinner are the best in my opinion. We're not typically buffet people, but it changed daily and the quality of the food was good. Drinks in the all-inclusive package were good too. Service from staff is impeccable. Just be aware that tipping is customary, so budget that into your stay. You can get cash out at the reception on the island.
Cons: The only downside to our stay was the seaplane transfer. On the way there, we had to wait for nearly 2 hours to catch our seaplane (understandable but not ideal). But the seaplane company moved our flight to be earlier without telling us or anyone, and we almost missed the flight to the resort. On the way back, we requested a certain timeframe for the seaplane, but was told only the seaplane company sets the time. We thought the seaplane time would be quite late for our international flight, but we were told there's nothing we could do. When we checked out, we were told the seaplane has been delayed by another hour. We waited for a long time for it, and had to check for other international flights, as it looked like we'd miss ours. The seaplane staff really don't care - and based on the reviews online, they've caused a lot of people to miss their flights. Thankfully we just got there in time, but only checked in when our flight was boarding. Overall, very stressful end to the trip - however it had been wonderful up until that point.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room, the staff, the views and the food.
Cons: Commute from male was long and expensive
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The water villas were amazing, and the food was fantastic. Large choice. The beech was very clean. The reef is excellent and access to the reef is easy.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was absolutely great. The staff is amazing, the island is very clean, wifi in watervillas worked great, food tastes great, roomboy was absolutely careful and cleaned spotless
Cons: The mattress of the bed was a little bit to hard for us, but this is just our opinion and may not be everyones. The food was amazing but i wished that it had signs if certain foods contain meat or fish
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the staff are super friendly the food was amazing water villa exceeded our expectations the bar was really great and the prices their is acceptable Snorkeling in-front of the water was really great
Cons: beds have to be changed for sure, its not that comfortable. plus i had a skin allergy because of multiple bites of bed bugs - take anti-histamines with you- and i have seen that when the house keeping service prepare our room they don't change the bed sheets, soo that might be the problem
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great communication by email. Friendly, caring staff. Perfect location and great facilities. Food is amazing with a lot of choices. It’s very easy to see many kind of marine life on this island :) The free wifi was great and always have extremely fast speed ! We were very enjoy our stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The attentive and super friendly staff. In particular the pro divers staff (davide!!) Were incredible. The water villas truly are amazing.
Cons: Inflated prices are tough to swallow if you don't have a meal plan. Transportation prices are severely over inflated. Arrange you own transfer if you can it will save you hundreds of dollars
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are the big plus with the resort wherever you meet them. Friendly, very courteous and professional. We booked a water villa – highly recommended for the view and that you are literally 2 steps from snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of the lagoon, surrounded by a myriad rainbow of inquisitive fish. The ultimate re–charge location!
Cons: Nothing. Zero. Zilch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything, it was amazing.
Cons: nothing at all.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall is a very nice hotel where you can enjoy your time in the Maldives and relax.
Cons: The food options are a bit limited and not as good as we hope so due to the price of the stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This holiday is perfect in every way! The transfer to and from Male and resort is seamless and hassle free. The daily spa credit made us feel very pampered by the friendly and experience team of masseurs. The snorkeling trips included are also very rewarding! Thank you Dhilley and team for showing us your passion! Nitu from reception has been so kind and helpful ensuring all our reservations were booked! Also Hafiz from Reef restaurant and Roshnan from Aqua Bar! All in all, we are glad to have chosen Centara resort!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The service starts straight from the airport, with energetic airport staff handling our sea plane transfer as soon as we arrived at Male. The staff at both bars were absolutely fantastic, very attentive and quick service. Snorkelling behind the dive centre was very good, lots of sharks, fish, crabs and octopus to see. Baby sharks, and Eagle rays continually swimming around the beach never gets old! All the staff we met were great and very friendly, everywhere you walk you get a "Hello","Good morning" etc..
Cons: Only a few minor things we felt weren't even enough to mention to the staff: You can only use one free dive per day, so had to pay for one of the two Manta Ray dives ($325USD for the two of us). Cleaning of the rooms could've been better, often felt like they hadn't tidied (bins not emptied, empty drinks not cleared away etc). Restrictive water sport rules meant kayaking/paddle boarding was only allowed in the area opposite the water sports centre. Compared to other luxury resorts we have stayed at, we felt a few things could've been improved such as a choice of soft drinks during excursions, smaller excursion groups and more attentiveness to food allergies (which we had informed the property of ahead of time).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and staff
Cons: Many activities are full booking
4.6 Okay
Cons: Having to wait over 4 hours at Male airport and making over a 7 hour airport transfer between Male airport and resort. We arrived at Male airport at noon and were told we had to wait 3 hours to check into a domestic flight to another island airport after checking in we had to wait another 2 hours for the flight. We flew 30 minutes over the resort to an island where we were transported by bus to where we had to wait for boat transfer. We finally arrived at resort about 8 pm instead of the expected 1 pm, wasting the first day and missing out on the lunch that we had prepaid for. Day of departure we had to wake up and be checked out by 6 am even though our flight from Male was at 1:45 pm. The boat took us to the other island airport at 6:30. We missed out our breakfast which we had also prepaid for. We then had to wait over 2 hours for the flight to Male arriving at 9:30 where we had to wait 3 hours to check into ouf flight 2 hours before our departure. When we asked the resort why we had over 7 hour airport transfers while other people who traveled on the same flight of ours to and from Male, they said the other people did not use Booking.com and had paid for normal airport transfer which only took them 30 minutes to travel between resort and airport. When asking resort to reimburse us for the meals that we had paid for, we were told that it was our fault for booking our stay at their resort with booking.com thus the resort was not responsible. The Jacuzzi in our villa did not work, which we reported the 2nd day with it never being repaired. We had paid all inclusive which included the minibar which was supposed to be replenished daily. There were 2 days which it was not replenished, after enough complaining they finally replenished on the 3rd day. The resort local island day trip is a waste, it is 1 hour boat ride only to be walked to the center of the island to purchase overpriced gifts, then 1 hour boat ride back to resort.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff from the moment I reach the airport till the end, everything amazing there, alot of choice for the food even though if you need something extra they will make sure that you will get it. I highly recommend it for couples and family with kids.
Cons: Just the pool in the villa if the wall is little bit higher to get more privacy from the next villa .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: , all food was very good well prepared with good variety
Cons: They offered complimentary massages but the massages offered where limited and you could not use the massage for another person you either use it yourself or you lost it one of the reasons we booked this hotel was for the complimentary Spa
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful turquoise waters, well-maintained property, comfortable room, and excellent service from staff
Cons: Need to take a 25-minute domestic flight and then another 20-minute speedboat ride to the island. Depending on domestic flight timing, add 4-6 hours to travel to hotel from international airport.
Maafushivaru Maldives - Maafushivaru - Bedroom

9.6 Excellent (65 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Among resorts in Maldives, Maafushivaru is the typical island epitomizing all that one dreams of when thinking of the Maldives.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such an amazing resort with impeccable customer service and food. I truly hated to leave but will definitely return!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, facility
Cons: Food. Too Asian overall, poor diversity. Quality was mediocre
7.1 Good
Pros: Liked the place the island the house reef the diving the beauty.
Cons: The manager and the food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The customer service is excellent for this resort. Our dining experience was one of the highlights. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner. As far as communication, the property is top notch and helped us with all of our questions. We will definitely recommend Maafushivaru to others.
Cons: Really, this resort was top notch. I would say that extending the dining times on certain days would lead to greater schedule flexibility. We had a window of about 1.5 hours for lunch. If this could be extended to 2 hours then fine.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was once in a life experience! Staff is very helpful, and really cares about guests. They arrange transfer and welcome drinks. Breakfast is good - fresh juices, local food, eggs, bakery, everything. They clean up the room twice !!! a day. They provided drinking water to the room for free. The dinner at the beach (as an extra offer we pay for) was amazing. A birthday cake as a hotel gift was great. We lived in a family room, last floor. View is WOW.. This hotel is the closest to the bikini beach. I am attaching some views of this beach. Last but not least that the price for accomodation is the most attractive among other hotels at the island. I highly recommend Dhiguveli Maldives!
Cons: This is not critical and not related to this particular hotel.. the price for dinner in the hotel (and others nearby) is a bit high, although the food is good. Sometimes we went to the local cafes to reduce expenses. Local cafe Coffees closer to the peer is nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Dhiguveli are fantastic! They were so helpful and friendly and organised two excellent trips for us. We were lucky enough to experience snorkelling with whale sharks without the crowds from nearby resorts. The rooms are also very clean and the food is brilliant!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved this accommodation excellent welcoming staff, extremely clean new rooms, very comfortable bed, fresh delicious food restaurant & appreciated the complimentary Alkaline drinking water in large glass bottle every day . I have travelled to many parts of the world and this was by far a very special holiday. Tourism is just commencing on the island and this is a hidden gem. If you want to avoid the Maldives resort tourist bubble on the other islands and swim with manta rays & whale sharks (at a fantastic price) & interact with the lovely locals this is the island for you. A very special back to basics experience is what I wanted and this lived up to every expectation. Grab a bike & ride around meet the locals and have a real Maldives experience.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This trip was amazing, and I think that biggest part of the success was due to Dhiguvelly. Very supportive and friendly personal. Good food, entertainment and beach. Also I would like to notice one person from restaurant, maybe I will make a mistake in his name, but Kuku thank you very much for your positive and outstanding attention to details.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel with very frendly straff.
Cons: Great food at the restaurant. But very few vegiterian options.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Even though the location was bit far and the transport was quite expensive still it is worth visiting the place. The location is just amazing with white sand beach attached with the property. A night walk in the beach is highly recommended. The staff over there are so very nice that I can easily say they are the best I have experienced so far in 3 continents. Highly recommended place with a very good restaurant in the 3rd Floor.
Cons: Nothing as such, may be some more toiletries in the bathroom :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean , staff were very kind and helpful I really recommend this hotel, best hotel in dighurat and best island in Maldives...
Cons: Speed boat who gets to island especially in return
Sun Island Resort & Spa - Nalaguraidhoo - Bedroom

9.2 Excellent (3,357 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Nalaguraidhoo, Sun Island Resort & Spa is within the region of Dhigurah Beach and Vakarufalhi Island Beach. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. This resort has 3 meeting rooms available for events. 7.9 Good
Pros: -Beautiful location -Very kind staff -plenty of food and drinks are offered -plenty of watersport facilities -very good and clean rooms -Airco is present in every room and in the most important facilities -You can rent bikes if your room is far away
Cons: -All Inclusive is not ALL inclusive. You get a small menu of drinks where you can choose off. Very bad cocktails and only one type of beer. If you want anything else you need to pay extra eg: $7.50 for a corona. Luckily we don't drink so we were fine with soft drinks wich is included in the "all" inclusive. -Main restaurant had plenty of food but if you want to try their thai or italian restaurant you need to pay full price without any sort of discount. -Watersport activities are not all included only the cheap ones like kano and paddleboard. Jetski is full price $150 for 30 minutes. -We were leaving the resort at 6pm but had to checkout at 12pm wich is normal but as soon as we checked out we had no more access to the all inclusive formula so if we wanted any drinks or food we needed to pay full price. so it kind of ruined our half day. As soon as you check out they don't care anymore. -Bikes are offered very well but for $5 per day per person it's quite expensive. bikes aren't even very good. only one brake worked for me and my wife and it was very slow so quite dangerous if you go with kids. If you're unlucky to have a far away room you'll need your bike.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort was absolutely exceptional. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout the resort. The choice of restaurants and the food selection at the Buffet was brilliant. They had a cuisines that would suit all pallets. I must give a special mention to Sobja in the main restaurant for looking after us all week. There plenty of activities and amenities to keep you busy during your stay. I would recommend a trip to the Italian restaurant to see the Manta rays. We went for the all inclusive package which included everything you would need.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good resort in fantastic location. Beautiful beaches. Reasonable all inclusive package. Most of the staff were great. Loved the snorkelling trip with whale sharks although quite expensive.
Cons: Staff continually trying to sell you dinners at additional cost even though we had all inclusive package. Over water villa could do with a make over and trimming of gardens. Bath faced wall and not picture window with sea views
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved nearly everything about our stay! Island: gorgeous! It's quite big so you have space to your own, the beaches are super clean and beautiful. Staff keep it clean and tidy at all times. It's great for walks, but they have carts to drive you as well. Room: clean, spacious, comfortable. We had a beach bungalow and the access to the beach is a big plus. Food: good variety, amount and quality. Sanitary and full buffet. European and Indian style food. All in is a limited drink menu, but definitely recommended! Cocktails are okay but not great. Activities: we went snorkling with rays, turtles and whale sharks. Parasailing is great as well. Top trips, helpful crew. Yoga was good. Night entertainment was fun, but repeating after a while. Not amazing. Spa looks great, but haven't visited. Photoshoot with personal photographer is fun! Shark and ray feeding are great to see. Staff: I can't stress enough how kind, welcoming, helpful and friendly the staff was. Every single employee went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and happy. They have a personal approach and we loved being greeted by them everywhere. Our personal waiter (Anushka), the buggy drivers, waiting staff at the coffee café,... They made our holiday extra special. We definitely recommend a stay here!
Cons: Food is good in variety, amount and quality, but not superb. The buffet is large. All in isn't really 'ALL in' but definitely recommended. You get a limited menu to choose from, but pricewise it's a smart thing to do. Room is clean and comfortable, but feels a bit outdated. We had a beach bungalow, the access to the beach is a big plus, it was beautiful. All staff was exceptionally nice and friendly, except for the reception employees. We had contact with them for 3-4 times and they weren't hospitable and even rolled their eyes at us when asking for check-out information. The entertaining at night was fun, but got repeating at a longer stay. Music from the DJ was great, but way to loud, up to the point of a beep in our ears. We love to dance, but did it only once.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Royal treatment going in, NO royal treatment on the way out:( First of all the rezort is amaizing, clean, quiet, divine. It's a bit far from Male( that's on top of the 9 hours and 2flights that we had to go on, but that' s not the resort's fault) but it's nice. When we arrived it was raining very hard so the guys who were taking us to the resort( from Mammigli local aeroport) by boat were very nice, carrying our luggage and using umbrellas so we wouldn't get wet. We arrived at the resort, were greated very nicely, accompanied to our rooms in tiny little golf-like cars. First night it rained so hard i thought the roof would collapse, and we were worried that it would rain all week, but that was not the case, it rained durring the nights and durring the days it was quite sunny or cloudy but warm. Be carefull with the sun, as we played in the water and walked on the beach( very very nice beach, clean, perfect sand) for 2-3 hours and we got sunburn, defenetly wear sunscreen all the time!!! And there are musquitos that bite. Not many but they exist, but that's nature. Near the water bungallows they have a place where not dangerous sharks and stingrays come at 6 in the afternoon for "dinner"( they feed them from the restaurant for the guests to see). It' s very interesting. They have a lot of places to eat, drink coffee or have drinks. The main restaurant is very big, lots of staff to help, food of good quality, where you find something for everybody, a lot of cakes and fruit too. They have a place on the island where they grow their own vegetables, and i understanded that they have all these processes for filtrating water, rain water, for making electricity. I was very impressed by the complexity of the operations. Tha department of 'water sports' is very good, staff is very well trained, very friendly, speak english.
Cons: We had a dissagreement with the guy at reception on the way out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in SUN Villa for 5 nights and found it perfect for our needs - clean, specious and 40 mtr from the emerald waters of the Ocean! Towels changed and accommodation cleaned twice per day. Staff is Great, especially BURGA, who provided excellent services!
Cons: Nil.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Sunset villas are perfect with the best beach ! Pleasant stuff , good food , super clean (house keeping twice a day)
Cons: Late checkout (2 hours) cost as one night cost
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room villa with pool was stunning, cleanliness excellent and very quiet

This Dhigurah property is located by the sea and situated on the beach within walking distance of Dhigurah Beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a lovely three story building near the village of Digurah. The rooms were lovely, spacious and airy. We had a balcony and watched the fruit bats flying above us. We slept like babies next to whale shark wall paper. The dining room was tasteful and sunny. Food was superb, support staff so friendly and always available.
Cons: The stairwell leading up to the evening dinner area was dark and I struggled to see the steps. Lighting should be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome large bed, big outdoor shower/bathroom, great staff and food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Its a place where you can check in and forget about everything else, the level of hospitality is impeccable! And of course the marine life around Dhigurah! In just two days I got to see a whale shark and 3 mantas along with turtles, sharks, etc.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding
Cons: Nothing at all
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Island was a great choice. Hotel is nice. Staff is welcoming and friendly and trying to make you feel comfortable. It’s clean and comfortable enough. Wi-Fi works well. Beach in front is nice and also walk towards sand bank is not that far, about 1 hour of walk one way. Bathroom with open top is something special. Bed is extra superb comfy. Fruit juice was always delicious. Dinner on the beach on the day we were only guests in hotel was very pleasant surprise and a huge plus – thanks again for that. If you might have any questions and requirements in advance, the manager will be very reposeful and helpful. They will arrange also the flight from Male for you. Village is small and modest, you will not need much extra money. Just enough for souvenirs and some ice cream
Cons: Excursions / hotel is diving oriented, so as a snorkeler you are taken to places that might not be that perfect to snorkel. They don’t have interesting snorkel places for 1 week. I would suggest maximum 3 days snorkeling with them. The most interesting point is of course manta point and whale shark area, but this was done in our case in one half day excursion. From the perspective of excursions, the hotel is overpriced, since the price is double compared to other ones on island without excursions. We have been taken 2 times to snorkeling without or only few fish – I think this is not acceptable on Maldives and with paid professional excursion. Also, food was not that good when we have been only few guests in hotel. After few days’ hotel became full, also food came up of much better choice and quality. Furniture is modest and worn out. Over all it was a nice hotel, I would stay again on this island, and at this hotel, but would not book everyday snorkel excursion – not worth extra money. How is diving I can’t say, since I didn’t try it.

Cons: There is no television.

Cons: Expensive meals Renting bikes need some repairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was super impressed with White Sands. My wife and I were expecting the Maldives to be super expensive but decided to go a little cheaper and stay on a community island with hotels rather than resorts. it was a great decision! Not only was the price more affordable but the staff were absolutely incredible. Very polite, accommodating, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and dedicated not only to the hotel but also to the island. We found out later on that all of the staff were born on the island and were working to support it and its people and create more opportunities for others on the island who weren't as fortunate as them to study English and work in the tourism industry. They were incredible people who helped us with everything that we needed. White Sands is also in partnership with the local dive group called Oceanholic Diving. They have daily dives for whale sharks, manta rays and other ocean creatures. We tried three times to spot whale sharks but were unsuccessful probably because we were only snorkeling. After the first time, Oceanholic Diving took us out with a group of scuba divers free of charge but again, we didn't see anything. The third time we paid to go out in a private motor boat and yet again we didn't spot anything but on the drive back to the hotel the drivers spotted some dolphins and tried to get their attention. we drove for 15 to 20 minutes with dolphins jumping all around us! We might not have seen whale sharks but we did get something exciting from all the dolphins! The island is quite small with a population of 600 people or so. you can walk from the north to the south in roughly an hour although the southern half of the island is not inhabited. The northern half has a school, pharmacy, shops, a few other hotels and a few restaurants. Our room was quite nice and spotless. There is a balcony to smoke on and have a morning coffee. Bathroom was very spacious, shower was huge and had great pressure.
Cons: Some of the other guests were quite loud and I had to go and tell them to be quiet in the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, friendly hotel. Staff were very helpful. Everything is sorted for you, transport to and from the the island, boat trips, we even had breakfast on the beach! Made our stay here very special.
Cons: It was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big and comfortable room with great bathroom. The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast is amazing and also all other dishes. We ate every day lunch and dinner at the hotel and it was always delicious. The bikini beach is 5 minutes away and it is so nice and still not developed. There are some sun beds. We loved everything and for sure we will be back.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed in February at this hotel. The structure is new and is located a few steps from the sea. It has a restaurant for lunch and dinner. The candlelit dinner under the starry sky is very suggestive. The menu is varied and with around $ 20 per person you could have dinner. We tried both the comfort room and the suite. Both are very spacious rooms with very large bathrooms. Equipped with very functional air conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee boiler. Cleaning was done twice a day with a daily change of towels. Perfect cleaning. The staff is always available 24 hours a day. Always smiling and do everything to help you with your every request. Very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and especially the island. If you just want to relax this island and this hotel are for you. THANKS again to all the staff for the wonderful holiday and all your attention towards us! Alex - Serena

Pros: Bliss hotel is a wonderful guesthouse in Dhigurah island. It has an amazing design and it is super clean, only few steps from the bikini beach. We spent ten days there and staff become like a family. They are the real added value, making our stay a wonderful experience during whale shark trip and the entire holiday. A special thanks to Bhupi, for his smiles, emphaty, taking care of all our needs and to Vajid for his patience with kids and professional service. Hermits restaurant is exceptional.

Pros: A wonderful place to relax! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, facilities were good, close to the beach and good food at the restaurant! A home away fro home!
Cons: A suggestion would be to supply guests with reusable water bottles, and a sign on the door to indicate when you would like your room to be serviced
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food in the restaurant exceeded our expectations, the organised activities and diving were fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An absolutely lovely place. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week, and everything was just perfect. The beach is 2 minutes away, there is a hotel restaurant with excellent food (slightly pricey), the friendliest staff one could hope for, and excursions organised by the hotel. They have a lovely guide called Chloe, who has superb knowledge of the sea life, and someone who clearly cares a lot about the coral reef and the rest of the sea family. This makes it feels a lot less like a commercial business, and more like an adventure aimed mainly at marvelling, learning and respecting the ocean. For a small cosy guesthouse, everyone gets to know everyone else, and you eventually learn all the staff names! Everything from the pick up from the harbour, to a packed breakfast on check out day was thought of. Can't recommend this hotel, and this island enough. Very much wishing we were back there now!!
Cons: Hotel was slightly pricey, but very good food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm, knowledgeable, helpful staff from all departments, including the front desk, restaurant, and excursions Excellent food! I recommend going half board as every meal was delicious. Comfortable bed & room Aesthetically adorable - bright, colourful and clean Facilities and special added touches - board games, a little gym, roof jacuzzi, rooftop bar, darts, beanbags, a cute little “garden” area with hammocks and enclosed swings... I was definitely impressed with my stay and wish I had more time at Bliss. Felt like a luxury on my mid-range holiday! Highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bliss is less than 30 seconds from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and friendly staff with good help with activities, good ac and new fresh rooms
Cons: Little pricy restaurant
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, friendly and very helpful at all times. Good offer of activities / excursions. Interesting, tasty menu prepared by a top Indian chef. Flexibility to adapt food to our specific needs. Special merit to the tuna steak and pancakes stack but everything is good. Nice location and hotel design.

Cons: Nothing, everything was 100% perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic one week stay at Holiday Island. All the staff were very helpful, smiling and always ready for our needs and wishes. The view from the bungalow was just like from a postcard. The whole island is continuously kept in an amazingly clean and neat condition. I can highly recommend to book it with full board meal plan. All breakfast, lunch and dinner were abundant. There is always many options to choose from. Unless you are on a very special diet your tummy will be full and happy. :D
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The resort is very well included into the nature of the island
Cons: Very hard to find something bad. Maybe I’d improve the communication with the guests especially on arrival to inform them of the activities and services that they can use. For example the free shuttle for Sun island every 3 hours, they fish feeding every night and maybe others that we discovered only by chance. Besides that, our stay was amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A heaven on earth! Turquoise water, white sand and loads of sun. Peace and quiet! Perfect place for relaxing holiday. Great choice of food for breakfast and dinner, very delicious. At 7pm each day there is fish feeding when you can see such a variety of fish waiting for their dinner. Great selection of activities and there are those romantic swings on the beach and inside the water. Beach bungalow had comfortable seats in front, with beautiful views over the sea. Friendly staff. Highly recommended
Cons: Every thing was just perfect, nothing to complaint about
8.8 Excellent

Pros: It was a great holiday, thanks
7.9 Good
Pros: I was very pleased with the food! The buffet offered a lot of different dishes and very tasty too! Lotsa fruits! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beach is quite nice.
Cons: The hotel doesn’t have a snorkeling reef of its own, you will have to take a free boat for a 5 minutes ride. They go six times a day.

Pros: Staff very kind and professional.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Shuttle service anywhere you wanted to go on the island, amazing customer service by Naseam and the other staff, solid breakfast, dive center was professional and on time. They picked us up at the ferry and dropped off at the airport. Lavazza espresso served. Organized a birthday cake for an additional fee.
Cons: Bed was way too hard for comfort. No hand soap.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is very near the beach. And the staff was friendly, especially helpful on our request.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great little hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about diving. We had a great time and loved the diving. Good place to stay if you are interested in diving with Matas, whale sharks or just seeing nice reefs.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We spend half of our honeymoon at Shamar for some diving. It did not disappoint. Everything exceeded our expectation and was perfect. To sum: 1. Friendly and helpful staff 2. Experienced dive guide 3. Simple yet have-all-you-need guesthouse with comfortable bed 4. Relaxing handout/eating area 5. Non-touristy, unpretentious local island showcasing the real Maldives 6. Great value for small-group diving 7. Fast and stable wifi Bonus: beautiful friendly house cats! We cannot wait to come back and bring our family!
Cons: We wish we could spend a few more days with Shamar Guesthouse :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly Very good curries made in-house Great diving
Cons: Sun beds and shades could be better
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly environment with great casual meeting & dining area. Great room with ocean view & an air conditioner & shower that worked. Limited number of guests which makes there diving trips relaxed & friendly. Plus every day a whale shark.
Cons: The beach furniture needs an up grade.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: relaxed atmosphere very nice and helpful staff Good breakfast snorkeling with whalesharks was a perfect experience if we come back to the massives we will definitely come back to you guys!
Cons: nothing :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, and the place was extremely clean. It's a simple place--meant for diving and relaxing. We only had a night, since we were transitioning from a liveaboard to our next adventure. We were able to rest, kayak and easily make our flight the next day.
Cons: You have a two block walk and a super short ferry ride to visit a resort with alcohol. Bring your own, don't drink, or be prepared for a short excursion.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were great. The staffs are friendly and approachable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location Food
Cons: The service And check out
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff The food The villa
Cons: Shower water was brown and the bathroom had a leak. I had to put all the towels on the floor so water doesn’t come to the bedroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked how relaxed the resort was
Cons: There wasn't much to do, which wasn't a bad thing. The main thing I didn't like was that the resort had no drinks available for lunch and dinner. When you pay for full onboard I was surprised that not even water was provided. I understanding needing to buy soft drinks and alcohol, but being charged for water was a shock for how much we paid for this resort. We started to just bring our own water that was free that was supplied in our room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The island and the water. But that is not unique to this resort. It is the same beautiful environ through out Maldives. So avoid this place. You will pay 2.5 times more than required and have twice the disappointment. Instead choose a 3 star. Few dedicated staff members try to make a difference - Chrisitn, Ishag, and Maroouf at the buffet diner, Sajan at the bar, Weeshan and Jeff at the Dive center went out of their way to help... The Dive center is well set and the diving is very professional.
Cons: The staff are overworked and frustrated. Food is sparse and taken away too quickly. Not something you expect in an all-inclusive resort that charges $900 per room night for all inclusive. So they all snap at you and take away the buffet even before the time is up. It is an island resort and you expect a relaxed time. However they have a strict regimen - breakfast at 730-930 and the pickings are all gone and not replenished after 845. they start taking away the spread by 920. Lunch is b/w 1230 and 230 and same experience. Dinner is between 730 and 930 and they dont allow you into the restaurant at 725 but start hurrying you at 915. We complained several times and then the staff took pity on us but management was indifferent and gave empty assurances. Staff revealed they work 14 hour shifts due to mgmt belt tightening. The all-inclusive is an eyewash and a disappointment. Drinks on the all-inclusive do not include the regular cocktails like a pina colada or a Mai Tai. Corona and Heinken are not included in the beers. No snacks at the bar in the all-inclusive except for nuts. More hurtful is that if you bring appetizers from the buffet table to the drinks area they would tell you to stop. And at the dinner buffet - you are racing to get the food spread before it is gone, eating within the small time frame they give you and if you order a drink they take about 45 mins to serve it. So basically you can have one drink and a lil food at the buffet or nuts and lots to drink from the bar. So you are strategizing and not relaxing!! Would put this again to probably management skimming on staff or instructing them to not allow for the all-inclusive to become a good deal for you. They expect you to order from the bar menu - appetizers are priced at $15/plate, drinks are $12-20 per drink, even though you already paid $900/night for the all-inclusive.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful clean room, fully equiped, with both a towel for the beach and the shower. With enough bottles of drinking water, tv with movies given by the reception for the rainy evenings and even a safe for locking important issues. There is a nice seating outside for eating.
Cons: We were more surprised by the set up of the island - the houses are enclosed in the middle and you don’t see anywhere the sea, only when you walk past some old dumps and trees, so not Whale Shark Inn’s fault, although unfortunate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Farhim, who looked after the place, was the nicest and most accommodating property manager. He had a great sense of humor and really made the stay lovely.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed all our excursions arranged through the hotel. We saw the whale sharkand manta rays. Enjoyed sun island and holiday island Haydar was an excellent help
Cons: Hard to keep food warm when being delivered. Quite spicy. Need to tell them if you want it mild
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the nicest people and helped us all the time and even took us to a resort island for the evening for free
Cons: Everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All meals come from a local restaurant and were excellent
Cons: nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff is super helpful, really amazing. Whatever you need they will find a way to make it happen, food, day trips, you name it!
Cons: The room was tiny with a small bed for 2 people and al the structure need to be updated. Nice hot water and air con!
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good price and value for money. The staff orders in breakfast and dinner for you and even sets the food on the table in the garden. And organized a free trip to Holiday island in the evening. During the day a trip to Sun Island resort very cheap aswell!! A must do when you stay here.
Cons: Management was not very visible at the location. But turned up to get the payment. They should let the guy who works there all day around empowerment to actually do that aswell. He was super help ful and the sweetest with all kinds of help and support during our stay!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was amazing though. Nafiz and Hayder (sorry if I spelled it wrong) were absolutely wonderful in every way. The food was amazing, the staff super friendly and helpful, the prices are unbeatable, especially compared to the resorts, and they actually go the extra mile to help you and make your stay comfortable.
Cons: I didn't like that the rooms are so thinly isolated. If anyone, be it staff or other guests, want to rummage in a rucksack or simply speak, you will hear everything. The 5am prayer isn't everything either, but that only lasts like 5 to 7 minutes.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff are very attentive
Cons: Maamigili is not a picturesque island. There is a lot of rubbish everywhere coming in off the sea. It is very sad to see, but also dangerous - we saw a rusted piece of tin and a plank of wood with nails sticking up wash onto the bikini beach. To be honest we regretted our time in Maamigili when there are many other much nicer islands to visit, for example - Dhigurah or Omadhoo. We took the speedboat from Malé to Maamigili. It was very simple, and took 2 hrs ($50 per person). The accommodation at Whale Shark inn was good. There are only 4 bedrooms so it is very small, all bedrooms face into a reception room. The bed is very very hard, like a piece of wood! I actually checked to make sure it was even really a mattress!

Pros: We really loved this hotel . There are a lot of advantages like comfortable room , tasty food , colorful views of local island and local people and incredible crew ! Guys are amazing, they did all by themselves and did their job very good . They are nice and kind people who always ready to help you , they made for us extremely and exciting excursions! Captain knows his job very well and tried to show us more beautiful places among Maldives, he tries to help those who swim not really good so we felt ourselves safety . Our manager Ali tried to give us a lot of attention and did all not like for customers but like for friends. All of them were kind to us and we will remember them for a long long time. As for room - we had a conditioner , it works well , we always had water for drinking , clean towel for beach and for shower , wi fi , tv , well everything you need for comfort . Again , the crew - one love , thank you all for amazing honeymoon , for presents and so warm emotions! Hope see you all again someday ! Koimala hotel - definitely recommend ! Price/quality !
Cons: Linens are old and not very clean ( Water has not good smell. The distance to the beach longer than at the description.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is very centrally and very close to the shops. All the people in the hotel are very friendly and organize whatever you want to do. The walking distance to the bikini beach is around 10 minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Amazing staff nice easy going place and super helpfull
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quality / price ratio excellent for Maldives The staff was friendly and attentive to make my stay as pleasant as possible. The room is spacious and very clean. Very nice snorkeling exclusion, varied and good meals. I thank you again for your attention !
Cons: We were transfered to the Dravida Hotel, which they also own and is very nice. The Dravida Hotel is fairly new. The location of Dravida is better though, close to the beach.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We were invited to have dinner at Koimala and the food was very delicious and fresh. Finally, we really recommend the Privat Island trip. The excursion was very adventurous and a lot of fun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable prices, rooms were very clean with extras like a kettle, hair dryer, mini fridge to keep the water cool. The staff are absolutely amazing! They cannot do enough for you! Always smiling, good company on trips and taking us on the transport to catch a boat over to holiday island. Making sure we were safe and generally looking after us. Ripon who cooked and kept our room tidy and clean made us some delicious local food every day! Our favourite breakfast was the Maldivian breakfast and his curry’s were fantastic! The Red Snapper dish was beautiful! Ali drove us around and looked after both of us, he was very courteous towards me as I was that much older and ensured I got in and off the boats safely. Rippath as the owner/manager strives to improve all the time and already is ensuring that the hotel is renovated for the next season. The bikini beach is really something and the water is so beautiful! One of the best holidays ever!! Thank you so much everyone! We will be back!
Cons: Shower mat needed in the shower room, mattress softener (beads are quite hard
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Run by really fantastic lads - extremely friendly and accommodating with a great sense of humour!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Koimala was just like we imagined. The staff was amazing, Ripon and Ali took really good care of us and the food was delicious every single time! Clean beach towels everyday, we felt very welcome and safe. Airconditioned rooms and short walk to the nearest beach. The island is a local island so its way more interesting than staying at a resort. Lots of activities available, would highly recommend diving and snorkeling, we saw mantas, whaleshark, turtle, small sharks and much more! Watch out for the sun though
Cons: The beds were a bit hard but I think that the depends what you are used to. Also mosquitos outside so recommend insect repellent

Pros: Everything! The team was extremely helpful and lovely. The guest house is in front of the beach. The room was very comfortable, clean, organized. Breakfast and diner was nice. They offer excursions to discover the sea life and make all efforts for us to enjoy and have a great experience. They provide us free equipments for snorkeling. Highly recommend!
Cons: Nothing. All was very good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service, the room and the location (just across the beach) was just fantastic !!! The bathroom was very clean and very big!!!
Cons: Everything was great!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us a cold towel to freshen up and a glass of juice on arrival, and there were fresh flowers and palms on our bed. The location is great, it’s a one minute walk to a bikini beach and not far from other restaurants (if they’re open). There’s a long beautiful beach on the south top of the island. It’s a bit of a walk, but not very many people around- worth it!
Cons: The property’s listing said there was an on-site restaurant which was not in service when we were there during low season. We had to find restaurants around the small town that were often closed since we were there during Ramadan. To be fair, we were told we could did have ordered food in advance the night before. On a minor note, the bathroom had a very strong musty/sewer smell that we were told was likely due to the rain and rising water levels. We had also asked for our room to be cleaned after 3 nights and came back to find just our bed made but nothing was cleaned and linens/towels were not changed. The staff gets there early in the morning and starts up the music in the reception area, which was quite loud in our room next door to reception. THINGS NOT ADVERTISED for this Island: 1)You can’t just shop around for a dive shop on the island when you get there. Each guesthouse/hotel has an agreement with a specific dive shop and the dive shops won’t let you join their groups if you aren’t staying at specific hotels. If you want to dive with a specific shop like we did, check ahead of time what guesthouse/hotels they work with. 2) Most of the hotel restaurants in town (there aren’t that many) will not serve you food if you aren’t a guest, making the number of available restaurants very slim. 3) Check if it will be Ramadan during your trip. The locals are 100% Muslim and fast during the day during Ramadan, meaning most restaurants are closed until evening. 4) The beach nearby is a bikini beach during the week (except Friday) so you can wear a bathing suit during that time, as long as you cover it up to walk there. On weekends ladies must wear shorts and shirts on the beach since it becomes a public beach that the locals use.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the most unforgettable vacation! The ocean of happy emotions overwhelmed me! If you, like me before, are afraid to fly to an unfamiliar country alone, then the Maldives will destroy all your fears, and at the Dhigurah Retreat Beach you will not think about anything but rest! It is also a great vacation for a family with small children, because the water is not deep near the sandy shore, it is also a great vacation for a couple, the hotel staff will make it as romantic's as possible. Let's start with the fact that at the airport you will be met in the most hospitable way and taken to the next boat to the island (many thanks to Mr. Zain for the pleasant company, this kind person became my friend). Upon arrival to the island you will also be well met, thank you Mr. Saneeh (manager and professional photographer) and for further help in everything, although I don’t know English well, they helped me absolutely in everything, without demanding anything in return that speaks of their unlimited hospitality and kindness. Various excursions will also help to make your vacation unforgettable, the person doing this is Mohamed ... I was afraid to snorkel, but I was convinced of the opposite and it was he who swam with me and helped me figure out everything, for which he was boundless, therefore in the future do not be afraid to contact him, he is a master of his craft (thanks to Mr. Hassan for this opportunity)! Also, if you think that fishing is boring and not for women, then having tried it in the ocean you will understand how wrong you are, because you will be helped in everything! Personally, I went fishing 2 times without regretting because it is very exciting and interesting! (Thanks for that Mr. Saneeh and his people) At the reception you will be waited by a friendly and very kind woman named ...

6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel/guesthouse has a very nice location right next to the beach, and just a couple of minutes of walking from souvenir shops and some local restaurants. The owner is very friendly and helpful although we didn't see or get to talk to him much.
Cons: First we didn't have a good experience with the dive center. We are both big fans of diving and have been diving with lots of different dive centers for the last 4 months. The guy in charge of the diving seemed to be more concerned about how many dives he could get us to do instead of how the experience was for us. We got next to nothing information about the actual dive, just the basics, but nothing special about the dive site. Before diving the dive master jumped out in the water without checking if we were ready and without safety check of the gear. And throughout the dive it was really hard to get his attention (for example to say how much air we had left or if we had any problems). Would not recommend diving here, and we have heard it's really expensive compared to other islands. 40$ for one single dive + 20$ for full gear + 22% tax. The food was really disappointing as well. Everything (except from the curry) seemed like it had been lying in a freezer for way too long, and had been put in an oven for 10 minutes for heating. And the cheapest meal was 10$ + 22% tax and it was not impressive. We ate our first 3 dinners here, the next 10 days we ate at the local restaurants. The breakfast was about the same as the dinners. Small heated frozen croissants/muffins/bread covered in sugar, fruit that looked (and tasted like) it had lied out cut in pieces for a couple of hours, and lots of stuff with tuna. Every morning you would just get served something, and there were no menu or buffet so you can't decide yourself what you would like to eat. And not a good deal if you're trying to eat healthy because everything was sweet and/or covered in sugar or chocolate. I ordered omelette the first day (eggs was the only thing you can decide), and the next days the waiter just came with an omelette before he talked to me about what I would like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for what I had in mind. I could look at the beach from my room which looked exactly like the pictures. The staff and everyone affiliated with the property was really kind and helpful. They made me enjoy my stay to the fullest. The guides were also very patient and took very good care of me. I only wish I'd stayed longer.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Actually, only the cleaners are helpful.
Cons: Not qualified people, they don’t know how can they make the guest satisfied. I will never stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was above expectation at this price range. The each and every staff of the hotel from restaurant to house keeping are so nice, they will go every extend to make your stay comfortable. The chefs are just incredible, they are just experts whatever they make, we had all the meals during our stay in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant waiter , the housekeeping are very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super helpful staff who know how to host guests. They have many activities available but don't push these. Each guest can do as much or as little as they like. The hotel is clean and well designed. The location is paradise! Staff are ready to help with anything. Just a fantastic hotel!
Cons: I wish I could've stayed longer.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good and friendly Staff, nice and Clean room with balcony Breakfast was ok, the chief is excellent in cooking seafood dishes at dinner time location is on the beach but it's not good for swimming The locals on the Island are the most friendly locals I've ever met
Cons: breakfast Finish at 9 Am and it's not allowed to take food inside the room, so if you missed the breakfast you don't have anything to eat till lunch
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sea View, very good diving and good restaurant. Will come back for sure.
8.8 Excellent

Pros: Everything
Cons: The food and breakfast at the restaurant wasn't that exciting.
7.0 Good
Pros: The food was adequate, the showers were pretty well cold but tolerable but all in all they certainly tried to make us comfortable. And the diving was truly magnificent and the dive guides were wonderful, most certainly value for money. Some great restaurants if you were to look around. Would I go back, you bet. And a massive thanks to # BeAn Island Diver you were fantastic.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is good. Kitchen has various stuff to eat. Breakfast is good.
Cons: Staff have no manners. They are really bad at organizing trips. They messed up mine and tried to convince me it’s my fault. The mattress is good but the bed is two small beds attached together which is not very comfortable. The restaurant wouldn’t change rice for vegetables when asked.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel: very close to the beach, to jungle and village. The staff is very nice and helpfull.
Cons: Dinner and lunch were overprised. On the island there are way cheaper and better tasting local restaurants.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. The beach is very nice. Good value.
Cons: Staff was not really responsive to e-mails and customer demands. There were no excursions available on my days, however, I think that it would had been just the matter of positive attitude and a few phone calls to on the island someone on the island who can take me on a snorkeling spot with a speed boat.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really good. Clean, comfortable, next to the beach. Good breakfast.
Cons: Everything was really good. The only thing I will complain is about not having wifi at the room. Is not a big deal but a little bit uncomfortable. Although, the common areas, with wifi, were really comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived the standard room we booked wasn’t available so they gave us a free upgrade to a deluxe room. The property was a short walk to the beach and the staff would help in any way they possibly could. WiFi in the lobby was really good and the rooms were cleaned daily and towels were replaced daily if you wished. Bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable!
Cons: Only thing I could fault would be the WiFi didn’t reach the rooms. Literally the only thing!

Pros: - Great location - Glass water bottles provided - Friendly staffs - Must try the burger
Cons: Weak WiFi and mosquitoes

Pros: We were accommodated at the Hideaway Inn, but we had all the service at Mala Boutique. The food was excellent, the beach clean, staff very nice and helpful. We had some trips and we were very happy with all - great organization and great experience. We saw what we wanted to see. Snorkeling is amazing and our guide Shaalley show us all from underwater world. I recommend this island for relaxation and snorkeling. We felt like at home :)

Pros: Amazing location and comfortable rooms. Very nice staff, simple food but good. Excursions are the best activity you can wish for in Maldives: you can do basically everything you have dreamt of. In four days, we were able to spot: whaleshark, mantas, turtles, reef sharks, etc. We highly recommend the sandbank trip with amazing snorkeling on the reef and, for the bravest, night snorkeling. Highly recommended for traveling either with family, friends or partner. We had a super stay!
Cons: Hard to reach from the male airport: only one speedboat at 4pm and to go back at 7 am. Al other options are extremely expensive.
7.1 Good
Pros: - staff is super kind - excursions very well done - cleaning - ideal for backpackers
Cons: - beach too small with no facilities - way to the beach is not really nice - overall you do not feel living the Maldives as in your dreams

Pros: The room was very clean and tidy. The stuff clean it every morning. The bikini beach is like 3min walk and restaurants too. The stuff were really helpful and nice. They help you whenever you need help. Lunch and dinner is not included but it’s amazing, totally recommendable!

Cons: No kitchen facilities
6.3 Good
Pros: The escursions organized by the diving center are really amazing. Martino (dive master) and Shalley (snorkelling guide) are an excellent team together and thanks to them we had an amazing time with mantas, turtles, sharks, dolphins, whalesharks, and lots of other fishes. Shalley shared with me wonderful pictures he took underwater, a great memory of this incredible experience. The team in the guest house is great, always smiling and hard working; the owner Hassan is really kind and friendly, and he compensated us with a final discount for the few problems encountered during our stay. The location of the guest house in front of the sea is incredibly beautiful, and meals are normally served on the small beach in front of the guest house - a pity that this wonderful space is not enough used also before and after the meals with bar service.
Cons: Rooms and the furnitures are pretty basic, when we arrived in our room the air conditioning was not working properly (water dropping) and I had to tell the staff three times before getting it repaired. Breakfast is always same food and really nothing special (omelette, sausages, pancakes, sometimes beans, and an ordinary juice - to get the fresh ones included you have to reserve the all inclusive package!). Lucky us we paid half board - we had once lunch at the guest house and I think it was quite poor. The guest house sometimes misses the basic service (eg shampoo) and after having asked it three times to the staff I had to buy it from local supermarket.

Pros: The waiter called Rana provided excellent service everyday. He should definitely be promoted.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The food was good and the kitchen staff and waiter were very friendly
Cons: The manager/ front office staff were terrible. Lied, didn’t follow through on promises and rude. I wouldn’t stay on dhangethi, the bikini beach is terrible, about 35m wide with a big screen around it, go to Dhigurah about 30mins away on the local ferrt or 10 mins by speedboat. A 3km stretch of beach to rival any in the world.

Pros: Amazing everything: staff, location, diving center, food! Very friendly staff, they did their best to make our vacation comfortable. I recommend seeing sea life with a diving center.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect for us. After a bad experience on another guest house from another island we finally found our peace and joy at Ariston. All the staff were AMAZING... Smiling always , willing to do everything for you, treat you with respect . The food was absolutely PERFECT. Vishua the chef did a few surprises for us. Saud the director as well surprised as with a romantic dinner on the beach , the photos you can see them on their Facebook page. They also organise amazing activities which are not expensive like snorkelling with the turtles, manta rays trip or whale sharks, sand bank day, diving plus many more. Definetly you will not get bored. You are in good hands. The bikini beach it's jut 3 min away from the hotel. The island is not big but is beautiful with parts jungle and vegetation. People are nice and smilingly. They have a " high street with shops". You can reach the island within 1 hour and 45 min with the speed boat organised by the hotel or with a public ferry boat but that will take hours and need changing in another island. I do not know all the staff names but I would like to thank you to Saud, Raj, Rana, Bine, Vishua, Soto, Haibe, Ali and the rest for making our holiday an awesome and unforgettable experience!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hospitality, welcoming and very friendly atmosphere. The chef is the best !!!!
Cons: Maybe some more possibilities for excursions except divings :)

Pros: Thanks to the entire Ariston team for making our 4 nights stay a very memorable one! Cheche, Ammaday, Maif, Musfir, Rana are just some of the many amazing people you'll meet - loved the clean and cozy environment, quiet bikini beach and the great service/snorkelling/diving trips you guys provided!! We also liked that the trips were in small groups and therefore quite exclusive and the staff could give us personalised attention. We hope to be back in the future to explore more of maldives :))
Cons: Wifi was slightly weak but the team said they are upgrading it soon!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing. The guesthouse was just right across the beach and it was very relaxing.

Pros: We went to Ariston Dhangethi Inn as part of our honeymoon and it was absolutely delightful! We began our honeymoon as one of the luxury resort islands, then came here to enjoy various activities and get a feel of the local island, and we are very glad we did! The hospitality of the staff at Ariston Dhangethi Inn was AMAZING!!! They went above and beyond to make our stay so special, especially with it being our honeymoon. The location is perfect, it is right on the beach and a minute walk to bikini beach (you can easily access from the hotel's beach). The rooms were very clean, bed comfortable, with great working hot water and a/c. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place on Dhangethi Island.
Cons: The only improvement would be the food. It was a hit or miss with food, some things were great, others not so much. However, we were also vegetarian, so I cannot judge on the non-vegetarian food.
7.1 Good
Pros: Easy to charge food and activists to hotel bill so I could pay by credit card (4%) additional fee.
Cons: Could not wear bikinis on the beach at the hotel had to walk down to end of island for a special beach.

Pros: The place is quiet, peaceful, clean and verey close to the beach for sure it is on the beach. The staff is friendly, smily, cooperative and profs. I wish if I can come again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, the room was big and the ac worked well. Good breakfast that was served at the beach.
Cons: There are no curtains in the room so it gets very light very early. Our room was next to the kitchen so we woke up early from the staff preparing. This went on all morning so they should be a bit more careful.

Pros: Hello, People are amazing, Service and food was excellent at the beginning, then after Christmas more people come so it was busy but they provide more waitresses and cooks. Island is beautiful but there are building many guest houses (and unfortunately higher than 2 floor). Mala Maldives are one floor flats and well integrated with Nature. The beach for tourist is called Bikini Beach is very small and water is shallow (like in the other Maldivian islands). but they are make much bigger soon and move the indigenous beach on the other side of islands. food is simple mainly chicken at lunch time and fish for dinner: Tuna or Barracuda. I strongly recommended book the package with 7 days excursions (Manta, Whale shark, we really like night fishing) and if like beach avoid full moon period because there is strong tide (water deeps only 50 cm). Be prepare not to drink alcohol for your stay (or perhaps you can go to a close hotel nearby). In the all inclusive fruit juices are included (I do not think Coca cola). Bring with your some biscuits for breakfast if you have children. there is one of the best diving center in the island but we did not try. Close by next to bikini beach there is a sport center where you can rent kayak, windsurf, jet ski and a 18 catamaran. we try jet ski and kayak, be careful because there are shallow water in the middle of the ocean (so go with the owner) Restaurant I think cost around ten dollar per day, better to go for the full inclusive (again no alcohol but tasty fruit juice even orange. local restaurant outside do NOT serve fresh fish (my friend tried many time and they put tuna can, but they said it was tasty). Suggestion: if you are white skin bring a small tent to protect from sun, especially if you go to sandbank.
Cons: We like everything: as suggestion they could give two types of fish in the evening and serve also fish at lunch time. Fish is local and cheap. Chicken is imported and most of tourists expect fish during a sea holiday. They could serve a simple children menu for family with children (but they were helpful with special requests). They could serve coconut juice (island is full of coconut tree) but they give fresh apple, orange, watermelon juices. Rooms are safe (with no real safe) but there is not an external gate outside the communal area (better to have a gate when in the island they will have much more tourists in the new guests houses that are building)

Pros: They provide us a vegan meal and lots of fruits which was great!! The owner promise to give me some maledivian recipes and I’m so excited about this!
Cons: They could work on variety of the food because eating everyday could be boring. But instead of this everything was better than in resort!

Pros: Very friendly staff, excellent location ,beautiful view of hotel and outside of it.
Cons: Should have more items for lunch n dinner

Pros: The location was great and the staff were amazing very helpful. The food each day was well made and tasted delicious the servings were also big portions. Daily activities each day were lots of fun and organised well. Great place to visit with family and friends and the kids enjoyed it lots too.
Cons: Nothing at all
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpfull. Very pleasant taking meals on the ocean shore. Cleaness around the hotel. Nice the New year party.
Cons: Variability of meals although tasty.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Dhangethi was choosed because we received personal contact through WhatsUp directly after booking and it felt right! I asked a lot of questions and got responce immediately. No one of other hotels care to answer. Island is about 1h 40m by spead boat from Malé. (We recommend to use your handfrees to protect ears during transportation :) ) Clean room with all necessary you need (except tv). Very hard bed so we asked wor additional mattress. AC that doesn't blow on bed is big PLUS! We staid for 10 days and had ALL INCLUSIVE. Fresh cooked food was testy, always fresh juice or fruits for dessert. Don't expect a lot of fruits and vegetables here. Nothing grows on islands and it is expensive to transport. Than is why what you get for lunch and dinner is rice or spagetty and fish in different forms. You will eat out near the ocean if weather allows! Fantastic! Island is very liten with small shops gathered on one main street. Local society is very poor and it is not much to see around. But people are very friendly. The bikini beach is just 3 minutes walking from hotel. It is small but clean. The turquoise water is fantastic clean but not deep att all (about 1,5m deep in best days). Twice a day it changes from low tide to high tide with pretty strong flow. Snorkeling is good because of clear water. Though coral reefs are dead it is still gorgeous underwater world.
Cons: You get what you pay for. We were a little bit tired of the same food during our stay but on the other side at least it was testy and fresh!
