Aesthetically, this is a beautiful hotel. The lobby area is lovely. The man who met us at checkin was hilarious...made for a great start to the weekend. The buffet breakfast was also really good.
We had booked the room for three people. Upon arrival, nothing was set up for a third guest, not even spare linen for us to do this ourselves. Turndown each day was for two people also. The room smelt atrocious! And when my friend went to complain overnight as none of us could sleep through it, the lady on the reception was in no way welcoming and made no effort to solve the problem. She just couldn’t be bothered.
Best location - beach access but not that far away from the city center. My friends and I had a great time - perfect getaway to celebrate my birthday! Indeed a hideaway to relax, have fun and get a perfect tan :)
there was a bit of noise due to the construction next to the hotel
The food was extraordinary
The accommodation was below expectations. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist assigned us a room on the 1st floor in a room for the disabled. We had to pay extra for a room on the 4th floor. Maybe it didn't seem tragic just because the hotel had 18 floors and the elevators considered the first floor to be the 5th floor. The staff was totally inflexible in solving even with extra-cost of this problem although the hotel had an occupancy rate below 70%.
Good location Room service breakfast was very good
Hotel felt a little old. The view from the balcony was a huge construction site, you can’t sit outside or open the doors due to the noise. The pool was some distance from the hotel and difficult to get a bed if you arrived after 10am The outdoor restaurant area was nice but no cooling so very hot. Service was very slow on both occasions I visited. Overall a very average experience, you can definitely get a lot more for your money in Dubai.
Thought the hotel and facilities were excellent
A lot of building work going on next to the hotel
