Pros (+) We could see Mt Hood from our room. Excellent sunset view. The staff was courteous, always working hard to help and checking to see if you need anything. The included breakfast was home cooked and fantastic. Fresh pear muffins, quiche, potatoes and fresh fruit buffet. There’s drinks at the bar (very decent price) and lunch/dinner. We had a room with a shared bath but had no concerns with cleanline...
Cons (-) The hotel is historic, which means there’s squeaks, thin walls, no central air, no TVs (excellent WiFi tho), no elevators, the fan in the hallway hums, and limited dining options in town. If you’re looking for a corporate chain hotel, then this is not your place. However, the charm, the service, the views and the break from everyday hustle is refreshing.
