The location was perfect. The room was the perfect size and comfy and very clean. Very warm all night. The staff in the bar we're very friendly and helpful.
The pillows were very flat. There was no butter to go on the toast for breakfast and staff seemed not interested in helping us either in the kitchen or on reception. It was just after 7am -8.30 when we checked out.
Lovely quirky hotel, friendly staff, tidy clean rooms, alittle dated but to be expected in an old historic hotel... Location amazing and I would stay again
If I was picky... Probably slightly dated bathrooms
Convenient for city centre and good parking attached.
It is an old hotel and looks it. The lifts broke down as we arrived and we had to take our bags up to the 3rd floor. In fairness, we were told we could have a complimentary breakfast which the breakfast staff knew nothing about but honoured anyway. We would not have paid the $12 asking price had it not been free as it was average to say the least.
