The. Shower temp was very variable. Hot to ice cold and back in a few seconds. We didn't get our wake up call. Otherwise we were happy with everything. The breakfast was great. Eggs, potatoes and sausage. Got a free mall of America coupon book.
The coffee was horrible. Either in room or lounge. Otherwise nice lounge and computer access. We went out for brkfst instead. Please write at least 15 words
Great value for the money. Liked the shuttle to Mall of America. no
Free Shuttles, friendly, big rooms.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds Free breakfast Location-convenience Room amenities (mini-refridgerator) TV or in-room cable system not working very well
Minneapolis was a stopover for us, so it was convenient that this hotel was not far from the airport n/a
Walls are a little thin. Heard the neighbours radio at 445,called the front desk and they told us they would check it out. An hour later we could still hear it. Called again and the front desk said they would have their shuttle driver check it out. Lost a lot of sleep that night.
There was a problem after booking on KAYAK that the hotel was not notified of our arrival before we got there and we were given a reservation number that did not work. The staff was very competent in asking for what they needed and making multiple calls with getaroom.com (the customer service agent pervaded by the reservation by KAYAK) to ensure our booking on my behalf. Even though it took 20 minutes or more to check in, I never once was pressured to take care of the situation myself and they were concerned about me being double-billed should they just give me a room and take care of it later. They handled the process with perfection in a frustrating situation for a customer. I also loved the comfort of the bed! The TV in the room used settings making the picture too big for the screen, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it, but I did not seek help from the hotel to resolve the issue.
I liked that there was a hot breakfast and that there was a fridge and microwave in the room. The eggs were disgusting. Hard boiled eggs would be a much easier and better solution. Surprised to see an old school tv in the room!
There was a minor problem with the air conditioning in our room. They were so fast in getting us a different room. Very polite! I've told everyone I know about the great experience. Not a thing
Internet access in room.
Clean, updated, location
Staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean an very comfortable. Quiet location. We will stay there again next year!! Parking was not bad but was not great, had to park on the opposite end of our room. Breakfast was not bad either but not that great. Didn't have many choices for gluten free guests.
Price was great, bed was decent. Room was clean, but small which was fine for a place to sleep which is all I needed it for. Breakfast was decent nothing fancy but enough I was content. The shower head was really useless. I work with my hands with oil and the like. I got into the shower and the water really had no power and minimal amount of water came out. Temps were gold but if you can't get wet it dosent do anything good for you
The rooms were dirty. It may have been vacuumed but the faucets had large amounts of calcium deposits built up. Carpeting in the room and hallways were not in good shape. The paint on the walls was falling off. Inside the elevators door tracks you could see huge piles of dirt. I was there for two nights and room service did not make my bed or clean up between days. This was very disappointing compared to other Wyndham properties I have stayed at in the past.
I usually don't stay at anything less then 4 stars. I was in Minneapolis on business and the weather was bad so I decided to stay the night instead of driving back to my home state of Iowa. I have rewards at Mariott and Hilton. The Hilton Garden Inn was full. There were not many options. I had never stayed at a Microtel and thought that surely the room would be clean. The lobby was dirty and it didn't end there. The room smelled of dirty feet and the blankets had cigarette holes in the blankets. The mattress was horrible. Would have had better sleep on a air mattress. Do not bother people. Better options in Twin Cities.
The room was clean, had a flat screen TV, we could control the temperature in the room, and it had a complimentary breakfast. It was located near Sam's Club and was just an exit away from some shopping. You could hear planes flying overhead both day and night, the room size was very small, and there wasn't a place to eat the breakfast downstairs. We had to bring the food up to our room.
i absolutely enjoyed its centralized location to so many attractions we were within 15 miles of the mall the zoo and even within reasonable distance from Mickeys Diner the room smelled like a wet ashtray even being on the first floorand clearly marked no smoking signs thankfully it didnt trigger my daughters asthma
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was a little dark and the TV didn't work
The location was perfect for where I needed to be for some personal business. The price I paid was discounted from the regular price. I think it was an okay value for the money I paid. Smaller than expected room size but I guess that's why they call it a microtel. Could hear my neighbors cell phone ringing/buzzing as the night stand it was setting on was attached to the wall. No refrigerator in the room so do not plan on bringing food or beverages back to the room.
comfort of bed and cleanliness of entire facility no free continental breakfast
The beds were amazing - very clean room No continental breakfast
This hotel is extremely clean; modern; king room was plush. The restaurant was not up to par w/rest of hotel.
The beds were comfortable The people in the room next to us where talking so loud it sounded like they were in our room. It was well after 11:15pm and they were still going strong. We had children with us and a long drive the next day. This was very disappointing for us and for the money we spent on a one night stay made us made. Our kids are still yakking about how loud those people were. They would for sure be kicked out of any campground they went to. If we stay with you again we will be sure to ask for a room with no adjoining door between the two rooms and no one next to us. We don't need perfect silence but sleep would have been good. The next morning they were back at it early.
The front desk staff was always courteous and helpful. The food was healthy and oh! so delicious! The chefs are great! They smile and speak. They are masters. I really hated to leave! I want an extended return trip. I will always stay at that 4 points. However, another guest told me that all 4 points offer the same great service and good time! They are decorated in wonderful neutral colors. Housekeeping was kind too! Location, location, Location! It is close to shops that you really want and need to go too. The television lounge is a novel idea. The corporate gathering places were well lite and comfortable. It felt like home without looking homely! That it was time for me to leave.
Very comfortable bed and room. Breakfast was excellent and very affordable. Great service by all staff!
Website said free parking and airport shuttle, but where told upon arrival that the website was misleading and the manager was personally working on changing the wording but did not offer anything to make up for the fact that is why I booked with them and they charge more for parking than the near by airport. Also rooms are very small with little to no room for moving around beds and furniture.
The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds and furniture were comfy. Everything seemed very clean - no mystery stains. It was nice that they had a large container of cold water with fresh lemons in the lobby that you could have at any time. The breakfast was fine - the usual hotel fare. They had mopped the entire lobby floor at once, so we couldn't avoid walking on wet areas. One person in our party has to worry about slipping and falling, so it would be better if they mopped half and left half dry for people to use.
Price Needs refurbishing.
Room was clean and we had a mini fridge, microwave, desk, and dividing wall between living area and the bed. Shower had amazing pressure and great quality of water. Not enough parking because tour groups parked in parking lot because they stayed there before and after trip. We were told to park in handicap parking (as were the 4 people ahead of us). Breakfast was very unappetizing as the bananas were very brown, the oatmeal was watery...
Adult swim from 10pm to 11pm Lame breakfast buffet
Loved the location of the pool and the all day coffee and water. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Fitness center, pool, and awsome breakfast. They ran out of milk so i couldnt have cereal.
The lobby and pool area was nice and beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were uncomfortable. There was mold in the bathroom and the spider. Super strong smell from pool chemicals. We won't be back.
Friendly staff Could have been cleaner
The beds are really comfortable. Front desk clerk very nice. I could not sit in the pool area, the chlorine smell is soooo strong it burns your eyes.
Comfortable, clean, nice rooms with desk and closet space, good breakfast, friendly staff. No complaints!
clean, newly remodeled, great breakfast, quiet
Location and breakfast variety Small hallway by elevator
The character of the hotel and the rooms were very appealing. Very good service and the room was excellent. The only complaint was the bath tub drained slow.
The hot tub was not hot. It was about the same temp as the pool.
Clean, nice area, free shuttle, free breakfast. Breakfast selections could have been better. Living room and kitchen area were smaller than I world have pictured. Only bathroom was through the bedroom and we were there with 2 teenagers, very inconvenient at night!!
Location and amenities They have an area called 'the pantry' where you can buy snacks, sundries, etc. Their frozen selection was very limited.
Late breakfast. No restroom in pool area. Only one elevator that was very slow. The hallway design is poor with lots of tight corners that makes it hard to get around with the luggage cart. Hotel badly needs an update.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Location The towels are extremely rough and the bed smelled of cigarettes
The patio to grill was very nice. Even with rain we grilled and it was awesome! The room was really nice and the breakfast was nice. Heated pool a plus. Not at all.
Very welcoming staff! Pet friendly and reasonable rates for my pet. Very clean rooms.
Great hotel and staff. Convenient location. Evening reception is only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It was listed as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday online.
The front desk was very friendly at checkout as well as thru the our stay. The breakfast options were great too. temperature of the hot stub was way too cold however they did fix it by the next day.
No one to bother you while you are there. No restaurant around area.
The bed was comfortable and the bath/shower was nice. The facility included a pool and gym - Hotel is in flight path of airport - flights start at 4am. - No stores or restaurants within walking distance and coffee shop on-site is expensive. Found out breakfast wasn't included in my package. Even the less expensive hotels offer a continental breakfast. Tip: Be aware that upon arrival at airport, you have to call hotel for shuttle service. There was no indication of this on the reservation.
Everything looked clean. The pull out bed was a little uncomfortable.
I booked incorrectly for the park and ride package but the lady at the desk fixed it for me. She didn't have to but she did!! Always clean and quiet and the room service was prompt and soooo tasty! Bathtub was a bit shallow and the stopper leaked a little.
Easy to find, conferable and great location. The room was clean on the spot and service was quick. The front desk staff is not the best. It appears that they don't value business from Hotels.com. They also gave me the wrong room and the facility look as needs renovation.
Wonderful, caring staff. Clean, spacious, modern and comfortable rooms. Excelent shuttle service Good food with good prices.
Everyone in the staff that we dealt we were awesome i don't think you could ask for a better hotel staff from the front desk ladies who were all very nice all of them!!! to the shuttle driver and the breakfast staff!! we had just spent 7 nights in the wilderness and it was very nice to see a staff that cared so much for the guests made the transition very easy and we forgot a wallet in the room and came back after already getting to the airport came back and the shuttle driver helped us look for it as well as the two front desk ladies so nice so awesome if I'm ever back in Minneapolis i will be coming back to this hotel theirs not enough words in the world to describe the friendliness of everybody there!!! thank you all so much!!
Friendly staff Room had a horrible smell.
The distance to a Walmart and restaurants is not very bad. The bathroom was filthy. Hair all over inside the tub, the shower curtain was full of dirty finger prints, the toilet had not been cleaned. The freezer and fridge had hair and dirt in them. The carpet was stained. The bed was very small, the room was tiny and it looked nothing like the pictures online. The front desk was very rude and the lobby was dirty. The breakfast was a joke. My husband and I would have rather stayed at a Motel 6 for the price we payed we could have doubled our nights there with much better service and the same size room! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
We stayed there August 27-29 for the state fair. Hotel staff were super friendly. Hotel was clean. Breakfast could have had a few more selections. Breakfast staff were very helpful and nice. Pool was on the smaller side. Overall it was a great stay for the money.
Fine for the night just a guick place to stsy Donuts where still frozen an dry
Comfortable bed, decent sized room, great breakfast, clean bathroom. Overall, a very nice place to stay for our weekend away. Dining area was crowded and needed more space. There was nowhere to sit so we had to awkwardly carry our food back up to the room. Also, the walls were really thin, could hear anything going on in the hall and in the room across, we were above the lobby and could hear some of what was going on down there as well.
Good location. Good service. Lobby and dining area were under construction. Breakfast was mediocre.
Continental breakfast was great. Very clean eating area and a good variety. Beware of the rooms that are advertised with 1 queen bed. They are offered at a discount because they are the rooms by the elevator shaft. It was a VERY small room. Ok for the price if you are just staying for a quick sleep before you fly out but I know we won't stay again for a weekend visit.
They had a marketplace with bare essentials and I got a MOTRIN just in time. NO fridge and no microwave in the room. We expected more at the reservation price.
The facilities were clean. The bed was comfortable but there was no mini fridge which seems to be the norm for hotels now. I would likely stay there again especially when traveling to the mall of america.
Very clean room with a comfortable bed. I'm sure that this is out of the norm, but when I checked in one of the staff members was behind the counter flossing his teeth. While I appreciate good hygiene, I'm sure there was a more appropriate place to conduct this activity.
Employees were friendly and helpful--especially the van driver Breakfast was marginal
Everythin was good from the cleanliness to the breakfast and customer service... On my second stay too much noise and i mean TOO much noise by the housekeepers
Solid hotel, comfy beds, tasty breakfast, great proximity to mall.
Location Urine all over the toilet, which I ended up wiping up. Bathroom sink had I don't know what all over it. Bed sheets looked to have not been cleaned, full of crumbs and baby powder or something. Slept on top of sheets cause was to tired to argue with the front desk. Will never stay there again, definitely way over priced.
One of the drivers was very helpful helping me find a place to get food late at night. I was on a business trip and I checked in very late, almost midnight. I had to work the next morning and I went to bed. I was woken up at 2:30 am to the sound of someone trying to get into my room! Since I had the latch locked they couldn't open the door. I am a female and this was a bit scary. The next morning I went to the gym, which is a few treadmills they placed in a normal hotel room, it was very odd. I used the restroom in the "gym" and it was absolutely disgusting. There was bodily fluids and coffee was spilled and dried on the counter top, it looked like it had never been cleaned. When I was checking out I told a member of the staff that someone tried to get into my room in the middle of the night. She said they accidentally check guests into already occupied rooms ALL the time. I was very disappointed with my stay and will not be going back.
At checkin they gave us the wrong room....in our room the TV and the phone didn't work
Nice big room, friendly people. Shower was great' There was an orange film in the sink. Like a powder. The breakfast area was very tight and hard to get around tables and chairs Without spilling things.
The staff was friendly and the shuttle drivers were very good about getting to and from airport in a timely meaning. The hotel was not clean stains on bed and floor found toe nail clipping behind night stand . And bathroom was falling apart stain on ceiling and rotting fauset.
I was always comfortable and it allowed me a great deal of flexibility in using my rental car which I hadn't expected Nothing was a problem at all. If I need a motel in the Twin Cities, I'll try that location first.
Our room was very clean and quiet, so quiet that I was surprised at how many people were there. The beds were comfortable. I liked having the breakfast available. We had scrambled eggs bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and other foods that are available on continental breakfasts. For us the location was perfect. It was easy to get to, and we felt safe in this area. We noticed several people walking in the area for exercise. We did not use the pool or hot tub, but did see the area and it was very nice and clean. I give it 4 stars, as it is a little older, but an excellent, reasonably priced choice for us. We will be staying there again.
It was a great stay..
Comfortable, spacious room. Wireless Internet dropped off occasionally.
Kevin, that the front desk, was just fabulous. He can multi-task, is efficient and courteous. He gave me an extra blanket while fielding a phone call and just was a great staff member. The room was dark and worn (rust around the drains, some wear and tear on the walls, etc.). The breakfast could be greatly improved for the likes of me by adding black tea, skim milk and more fruit choices. The neighborhood was not conducive to going out to ear but is fairly close to restaurants farther west.
close to airport limited space and extras
Everything was great! Kevin was a great person to have at your front counter! I did t like not having a reason to complain! Just kidding! Everything was superb!
