With a stay at Taranna Cottages in Taranna, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Port Arthur Historic Site and Tasmanian Devil Unzoo. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very quiet location. Can see the potential when all finished
Pros: The staff are amazing and we look forward to seeing it when all the Reno’s are complete!
Pros: There are many farm animals including camels
Cons: The internet is non existent. Well to be fair, the whole area of port arthur and Tasman peninsula had the worst reception. We were "SOS" through out our time there.
Pros: So cute, loved our stay here, has lots of farm animals to look at close by. Really quiet and quaint place.
Pros: I was amazed to see they have a zoo next door and a museum it was an awesome bonus. The owners were happy to talk about future developments and I'm going back some day, the location was great.
Cons: I can't complain about the accommodation but the weather could have been better we never got our helicopter ride. :)
Pros: There are a lot of farm animals, horse, sheep, llama, camel, deer and birds. It is nice to walk around with your kids.
Cons: This is first time we are in Tasmania. GPs guided us to the farm and the house. If you drive pass you won’t realise it is an accommodation. The kitchenwares are not clean especially the cups. It is a tiny kitchen for a family. There are mosquitoes in the house. However, the bedrooms are clean.
Pros: The farm/zoo animals all around!
Pros: Bed was comfy
Cons: Microwave didn’t work, toaster didn’t work. No screens so if opened doors or windows ended up with mosquitoes and blow flies. Freezer in fridge was so frosted up unable to be used. Cooking was basic. Would not recommend to anyone.
Pros: The quietness
Pros: Self-contained. The menagerie on the grounds were charming - kangaroos, parrots, budgies, camels, ponies, goats, alpacas, cattle, sheep, donkeys, cattle, macaw, chickens. Proximity to Tasman peninsula features.
Cons: Double bed mattress in end room soft and sort of folded in on itself. The children were not used to the log fire infused odour in the living room.
