This is a really lovely hotel. The staff were extremely helpful. We stayed in a junior suite which was beautiful and very comfortable. We were just disappointed we couldn't stay longer!
The staff of the hotel was very helpful in all our problems. Moreover, the last day there was not hot water and in compensation they did not charge me the breakfast of the last day. The hotel has rooms for only one person but they are not offered in the booking webpage.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially a staff member called Stanislas. There was not an English speaking TV station on the TV.
Staff were very helpful and professional and breakfast was very good
Good location for Quimper centre. Clean room. Parking. Breakfast buffet was good, but a bit expensive at 13 euros. Paying for the parking. Lift very small, had to remove foot plates to get the wheelchair in the lift. The minimalist style ment there was no atmosphere.
The staff were so helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble.
The rate was too expensive the call the room deluxe but does not exist the minibar incredible bouffet breakfast very faschion but just few things No wifi in the room
The staff were so friendly and the hotel is tastefully decorated. Very convenient to all of quimpers interesting sights. Highly recommend.
The room was spacious and clean. The hotel personnel was polite and helpful. The breakfast is average (extra cost for fresh orange juice or boiled egg). There is also an extra cost for the parking.
Breakfast expense...can 't eat enough to break even
I asked for a quiet room and got one on the top floor at the back, overlooking a forested hill across the river. The room was very stylish in cream and black. The entire hotel is very elegant modern and classy yet underpriced. The breakfast was excellent and the very friendly staff speak excellent English. The dreamlike enchanted town is a stonesthrow away - all very safe and easy to walk through - great restaurants and lovely friendly locals.
The room was excellent, the decor is fantastic, we really enjoyed the comfort, and the owner was also very nice. We definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel was very nicely renovated, very good quality showeroom ensuites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice and not expensive. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as 12euro each for a family of five seemed expensive especially as the room rate was reasonable, but the cafe at the supermarket next door is good and we walked over to breakfast there.
hotel room was very clean there was no refridgerater
The helpfulness of the reception staff The smell of the rooms - you could smell the drains - I paid more money for a good hotel so did not expect to smell the drains would have liked a more comforable chair in the room to relax
There was no connection in the bathroom for the electric razor
Good swimming pool. Within walking distance of town centre. Quite a good breakfast. Very good bedroom and bathroom Understaffed Attitude of some of staff at reception
Our triple room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Decor was good too. It's a little difficult to find.
The decor of the room, especially the shower. The restaurant evening menu does not have enough choice
Really very good hotel with motivated/ trained staff and well equipped facilities by the time when we were there second time I was negatively suprised by very poor breakfast service (no spoons and forks , no plates and some kind of mess . The only excuse I can see that they served for very big group of japaneese . But this very little exuse for good hotel . I guess that good hotel (as Oceania is ) should predict such things before it happened
The price we paid through yourselves was a fair bit higher than the price being offered on a big board outside the hotel for the entire length of our stay. The staff refused to reduce the price we paid to the price being offered to people walking off the street. It makes us suspicious of advance booking with yourselves if it means we finish up paying a higher price
modern & clean building, lots of parking space, close to super market, nice restaurant receptionist didn't speak English at all at checking in
The excellent service of everyone at the hotel, the comfortability, and good taste of the rooms. It was a very nice experience staying there. The best hotel in Quimper. The hotel has no lift but if anyone has a problem there are good rooms in the ground floor too.
Very helpful staff and well run with personal attention to detail. Charming rooms and very clean. Beautiful breakfast. Great location to walk to old town and see sights and enjoy restaurants. Very quiet room to charming interior patio. Loved it!
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and welcoming hotel No restaurant, Parking limited
Superb Staff running a very clean and comfortable hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Hotel is very convenient for access to the major sites of Quimper.
The hotel is in a rather old building, but on the other hand all the rooms have been quite well renewed. Personell is very friendly and helpfull.
Courtesy of staff, cleanliness of the room, secondary matters like absenceof magnifying mirror for shaving in bathroom and wi-f malfunctioning in the room but impeccable in the lobby
Family run hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent.
The location was great. The room was very pleasant, nicely decorated and situated overlooking a garden courtyard. The staff was pleasant. The parking was difficult. The breakfast room was austere.
Room, staff and breakfast were excellent
Nice staff, god location. None
Relaxed, Friendly, Good Location, Good Menu
excellent location, beside the beach and beside the town, we had a birds eye view of local life and great breakfasts, nice and quiet after 11pm
not impressed not able to use car park car blocking entrance staff not very friendly shower very poor no fixing for shower head
Nothing Mostly everything especially the Head Waiter's attitude to the English.
Excellent location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Could do with a "face lift"!
Hotel very well run. Staff very helpful and all round excellent hotel No
Quaintness and comfort! The hotel bar did not stay open late.... ie after 10.00, it was practically impossible to get a drink in Pont Aven full stop!
The view of the harbour. Expensive breakfasts and small bedroom.
Location at Pont Aven. Right along the Riverside. Very Good Very friendly Staff.
Excellent hotel and staff. Location is fantastic and Pont Aven is a really pleasant place to spend time. The owner recommended a local restaurant which was reasonable and the food was excellent. Would definitely go back.
Enjoyed the old-world atmosphere of the surroundings. Cosy, clean rooms with free WiFi and a view of the river were excellent. Above all, the entire village was nice and especially enjoyed roaming the streets at night. Seafood next door was OK. Expensive breakfast, we did not take it.
Warm atmosphere,good servis
Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast service was charming and the food very nice. The owners were warm and friendly.
We enjoyed being right on the estuary. The hotel is located at the end of the road to Pont Aven, and, while it is a tourist-y place, the area by the hotel is very quiet at night. The building was charming with its thatched roof and flower boxes. The breakfast was good and the managers were very helpful and pleasant. The Pont Aven area was perfect for what we wanted to do during our visit.
The owners and their family were so helpful and sociable, the hotel is a good base for beaches, countryside and shopping. There is sailing schools, nice restaurants. all in all a beautiful location. No tea or coffee or tea facilities in room
the location Menu could have been more varied
the rooms are beautiful and the position on the beach is breathtaking just like the pictures we loved it but being english we would have loved tea making facilities in our room
Excellent situation on the beach. Competent and friendly staff. High quality food. Suggestion: Hotel shuttle to drive customers downdown Concarneau.
Location was excellent, with very friendly, welcoming reception staff. Room and bathroom both superb - even better than they look on the hotel website. The restaurant is poor. Very overpriced with miserable service and average food. Much better to find somewhere in town, where there is an excellent choice (although this is about a 20 min walk).
Beautiful interiors. Simple and stylish. Wonderful view. A luxurious boutique bolt-hole with a fantastic chic but friendly atmosphere. Truly a gem in a country where one normally knocks a star off the rating to get the genuine one. This is nowhere near two stars. 4 or 5 would be nearer the mark. Oh, and the food and booze were fantastic too. None.
The rooms were fantastic - just like the pictures on the website. Sliding doors at the end of the bedroom led out onto a balcony overlooking the beach. View fantastic and the sound of the sea was very relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel for anybody looking for a few days rest and relaxation. Hotel restaurant expensive for the quality of food offered - plenty of better value available in local restaurants
The view of the Atlantic straight from the bed, the friendly receptionist and staff in general, the fact that we could borrow a kettle, the culture in close vicinity (Concarneau: ville close, as well as other places of interest within a 25 km radius), the walks through the forest close to the hotel, etc., etc.
Helpfulness of staff. The shower design was poor in room 206, the water floods onto the bathroom floor as there is nothing to stop it from doing so. Other than that everything very good.
The setting of the hotel, the restaurant (wonderful dinners!), the friendliness and helpfulness of the general manager, which is reflected throughout her staff.
Great location. Upgraded to superior room on arrival with larger balcony and sun loungers. Same dinner menus during 5 night stay and no vegi option except vegetables or salad.
Great location. Rather noisy outside.
We liked the friendliness of the owners, who made us feel very welcome. They did a lot to make our stay enjoyable
Nice Hotel Difficult to find hotel from info on booking form
good location, good size bathroom & great shower
Central position ideal as we had an elderly parent with us , it was lovely to have home made produce for breakfast Rooms a little on the small side
Hotel is in the centre of the older part of Concarneau: very handy for harbour and the historic Ville Close, with plenty of free parking. Room was nicely furnished/decorated and of a good size, on the first floor, with lift access. Ensuite was very good - decoratively and facilities-wise: large shower, hair dryer, plenty of room. The bed was a good size and comfortable - duvet a bit warm for summer. In room access to internet - albeit cable connected and slow - OK for email. We were on first floor at front and with a small balcony - so a reasonable view but with a downside of some early morning noise from cars in/out of parking and tradesmen servicing adjacent restaurants/bars. Noise exacerbated by need for ventilation in the hot weather as there was no fan or air conditioning. TV was modern TFT but had very limited stations and all in French. We did not take the breakfast because we thought it expensive for a continental breakfast. However, there are several nearby places where a range of breakast can be had 30 to 60% less.
Staff were very friendly it was so convenient for the town no
The breakfast was superb with homemade bread and jams. It was worth reserving a garage space as the public parking in Concarneau is confusing due to several market days. Easier for a small car though! The room was large very stylishly decorated but the only chairs were not comfortable for "oldies" or for reading in.
very good location and good value for money.
Good position, close to local attractions (market on friday) and restaurants Building work
Localization, sevice and cleanness very small carpark for guests
Great location Not well insulated for noise from other floors.
Exceptionally welcoming, courteous and helpful staff.
The friendliness of the staff. Very relaxed atmosphere - no hurry to leave the room in the mornings and the room was always cleaned , made up with fresh towels on our return. Excellent.
Friendly staff, wellorganised hotel, good location The breakfast was not good value.Fresh coffee ie not in a pot stewing on a hot plate, is an essential anywhere and so easy to do.If staying another day would have gone to a bar for breakfast!
excellent location close to harbour, good value for money no
Clean...easy to find.....accurately described....very near to marina and restaurants
Not expensive, simple Hotel nearbay seashore and walking area. Good for short stay. Good location. Shower
Welcoming staff. Perfect location. Clean rooms and quiet hotel. Small and inadequate shower with funny partition (not fit for overweight people)
Very unpleasant service, rude to any one who doesn't speak french.
Very hospitable & friendly staff/owners. Superb situation within easy reach of Quimper. Very helpful with local information. A very enjoyable stay. Nothing negative about it
very friendly staff, very nice house and garden, very convenient for visiting quimper and the area
welcoming staff, very clean and comfortable..rates were very reasonable, great breakfast, family enviroment and overall a wonderful relaxing stay. no, enjoyed every minute of every day!
Very friendly, helpful and polite owners. The grounds and gardens were so peaceful and pleasant. The location of the hotel was excellent, not to far ( about 10 miles) from the coast, and about 4 miles to Quimper.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean room.Slept very well. Fully recommended no
Good location in the city centre, good room size and pricing Room and furniture a bit tired
At reasonable price, located near the old city center, this hotel is Very good! Bath room is wide, clean, and comfortable.
Frankly we were very disappointed having stayed in you excellent Art Deco hotel in Brest. So there was not much we liked. See below. Location opposite the Police Station and a busy road did not help sleep. On our first night we opted to stay in for dinner. First course quite acceptable. But main course (Chef recommended steak) was a disaster. We asked for medium steak but got rare. Sent it back and it was then inedible. Pudding very dull. I mentioned this to the young lady in charge. She said that no one else complained so it must have been alright. When the subject of customer satisfaction came up she told me that customers were wrong and she and the hotel were right. At that point I thoght it best to avoid further communication. Breakfast, when compared with your Brest Hotel was dull, uninteresting and presented with labour saving devices.
Nice friendly staff. Nice room.
Very friendly staff!!! Late parking a bit tricky but fine! good breakfast and thanks for the free one Only one soap for a twin room? Wall outside the window but ok for two night.
facilities for tea/coffee in room would be good also, a hairdryer...
The lobby is pleasant. It's close to the centre. The bedrooms are very cramped and the first one we were offered had a view overlooking a dirty blank wall! To be fair, they offered us another - in the attic. Bedroom fittings are cheap and functional - Compared with the Hotel Oceania we stayed in in Brest this hotel comes very low by comparison! I would not return.
That we could place our cycles in the office-room That we couldn't place our car in the nearby garage, that the hotel has't got special places reserved for it.
Central location Nothing
Being in the center of the city and at walking-distance therefore. It was my fault : I did not know until after our departure that breakfast was free for one person each morning. I would have sent my daughter down every morning. I was charged for my own breakfast (1st day/only time).
Staff is really welcome It smells like hell.
It was a good area for us exploring beautiful parts of Brittany with our car We were glad we had transport, or would have found it a bit quiet as when we returned in the evening, no one seemed to be in the bar.
The bar was very cosy...thats small to normall people, the barman was helpfull. When I checked out drinks had been added to my bill, they were cleared off when I questioned it, however this could be stopped by signing for your evening exps at the time of leaving the restaurant!! A lot of people dont check their bills is this a way of increasing hotel revenue??
Excellent lunch staircase with heavy luggage!
Comfortable room and clean. Good location. We had requested an additional bed for my youngest child (age 6) which they could not do and we had not been advised prior to arriving.
The rooms were situated in a motel style, the bedding was fresh and clean. Lack of space, basic accomodation , poor facilites,
The bed was too short.
Everything was good apart from the comments below which made it very poor value for money The noise--you could hear everything from other rooms and guests were coming in and making a noise at all hours.we were unable to sleep satisfactually throughout our stay
Pretty, clean and quite rooms (but small), nice garden room, good hotel restuarant (works till 10p.m.). Private parking with pleanty spaces. Location is good if travel by car. Overall impression is very good. 30 min walk to town center, 5 min by car. No acsess to nearby beach as it belongs to Cathedral.
Frindly morning staff and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located in a commercial area of Quimper (see below) but is in good location for coast at Benodet. Three failings - one serious, the others less so. Despite the hotel being advertised by Booking.com as having a restaurant, we were informed on arrival that it was closed Fri - Sun during the winter season (Oct - Mar). We had specifically booked a hotel with restaurant as we were on a tight time schedule. The hotel is advertised as having free wireless internet - this is incorrect as you have to pay. In addition the hotel, in a commercial area, is hard to find at night as there is no illuminated sign at its entrance and the area is badly lit.
Good central location close to old town. Friendly reception staff and good choice at breakfast. Room slightly small but otherwise fine. Larger rooms were available for more money.
On a fairly quiet street, although a 5 or 6 minute walk to the old town area. One big plus for the room: there were actually towel hooks in the bathroom!! Hard mattress and one of those annoying Tootsie Roll-shaped pillows you find in too many French hotels
Not a lot. The room was clean but very basic. The bathroom was the most modern part of the room. The decor was very dated. There was a stale or musty smell in the corridors. They charged for parking and access to the car park closed at 9.30pm
Staff were so welcoming!! It's a simple hotel, very friendly and clean and its location is great (right by the harbour and the historical town centre). Its safe car park was also a plus!
Our room was on main street, so quite noisey, the rooms are small and so it the shower room. One of the best value breakfast we had on our trip. shower room far to small, a large person could not get into it.
Our hosts were always very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location was very convenient.
Off road parking No tea/coffee making facilities in room
Great location, clean and friendly welcome!
It is good town-centre hotel with all the basic needs and at a very reasonable price. The owner/manager was very helpful. The room was 'compact' but, along with the en-suite facilities, it was perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. Excellent central location. Good off-street parking. No
Its location in the centre of the town bed was small and not very comfortable - the decor is rather dated
location absence of table, too small room, noise from the street
Particularly liked the situation looking over the port clos ( walled city). Although a little noisy in the morning the view of the port and walled fort overcame this. It was great to walk to the local restaurants.
friendly and welcoming, helpful with our bikes and very good evening meal
Very convenient location. A room was clean and tidy. It was a triple room, although it was obvious that there was no space for three beds and no space for things at all.
The hotel is in a very convenient location for exploring the walled city of Concarneau; rooms are comfortable and very attractively decorated with a seaside theme. Desk staff was pleasant. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance, and the local tourism office is right across the street. The only drawback (and it would be a concern for some) is that there isn't an elevator. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the desk, and then again up a flight to get to your room.
