Pros: Lovely B&B. We had a warm welcome and everything was fine. We had a large soft bed in a super sized room. The breakfast was very delicious and we got everything we need included fresh pancakes and fruits.

Pros: The host offered us tea or coffee with some cookies on our arrival. The bath had a heated towel rack and was the only location during our stay to provide wash cloths, which we knew are not commonly provided by B & B's in Ireland. Very easy access from the main road and an easy drive to the Shannon airport if arriving or departing from there.

7.1 Good
Cons: B&B was noisy, children were in the home and parents were in and out picking them p. They were rather noisy. Around 10 pm there was loud talking which was near our room, sound really carried. This B&B felt more like a hotel, didn't have the charm all the others had.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, lovely house and charming hosts
10.0 Excellent
Pros: LOVED this stay while in Ennis Ireland. The host and hostess where so very gracious, accommodating and helpful. Went beyond my expectations when I left an item at the house and the host made a trip to the train station to return it before our next destination. So incredibly NICE! The breakfast was exquisite. A quiet and serene location yet still close to town with many shops and sites to explore. 5 stars!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hosts that always have time for a little chat. Lovely breakfast with plenty of special foods (no full english but full taste nonetheless). Beside the aforementioned cons the room was clean and nice. The route to the city is walkable from the b&b but nothing to brag about. Theres a little lake 10 minutes by car from the b&b which is really nice. Eurospar, Tesco and Lidl 15 minute walk as well.
Cons: Our room got a bit of well used look in certain areas, as some of the headlights got pulled out or the paint on the wall got scratched off somewhere. Nothing to worry about, but not pleasing either. Dust in the ventilator. The shower is heated by a small device directly in the shower which is kind of loud and did not work properly on one of our two mornings we stayed there.

7.9 Good
Pros: Location was great for me
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time we are staying at Ardilaun Guest House. It remains my first choice whenever I am near Ennis, Claire. The room we were given was very clean, large with a very comfortable bed. It had excellent wi-fi, a shower that with a much greater than sufficient flow. (I wish my shower at home had such a flow.). I had an experience this time that I will never forget. I was on the deck over looking the stream behind Ardilaun Guest House. It is quite a large stream, approximately 13 meters wide and 1 meter deep, with a good flow. While I was standing, enjoying the sun and looking for fish in the stream, a large Gray Heron glided directly in front of me, so close, if I reached out I could have touch this magnificent bird. This B&B is located just outside of Ennis. Drive 6 minutes one way your in the heart of Ennis, the capital of Claire where there is excellent shopping and great food. Drive 2 minutes the other way, you are in some of the nicest country one could find in Ireland. If you want to stay near Ennis, this is the place to stay.
Cons: Everything was great
7.9 Good
Pros: Good sized room and comfortable bed Good location, just outside the center of Ennis (5min drive)
Cons: Small bathroom, not well equipped No complimentary breakfast, even for the simple continental option

Cons: Everything! The staff, the food, the beds showers and rooms in general, very pleasant staff ensuring that all of the quests were looked after. It was on a main road with lots of parking space and a nice area at the back where all rooms overlooked a river and green fields.Really nice in general.

Pros: Location and the food
Cons: Very disappointed when I arrived the lady said that the price I got when I booked it was wrong even when I showed her the confirmation email and I had to pay for breakfast even though my confirmation said breakfast was included in the room rate
Rowan Tree Hostel - Ennis - Building
8
8.7 Excellent (1,342 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Ennis, Rowan Tree Hostel is a 1-minute drive from Ennis Friary and 10 minutes from Quin Abbey. Featured amenities include a computer station, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. This hostel has 2 meeting rooms available for events.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location walking distance to Ennis city center. Unique riverfront location and building history. Bed reasonably comfortable, linens clean and neat. Very good adjacent restaurant. Staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Continental breakfast with self service eggs, cereals, breads for toast and yogurt, fruit, milk and juice was included.
Cons: Public spaces, furnishings and guest room flooring a bit shabby, could use some upgrading. It was our first hostel experience so have little frame of reference for comparisons. Would have liked a closet, or bar in the room with coat hangers. At minimum a row of coat hooks in room for wet coats, rain gear and umbrellas. A bath mat would have been nice as didn’t want to use our only towel on the floor. Extra hooks in bathroom would have been nice as would a small table or bench.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Happy and friendly staff very helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a hostel, but it is one of the best I've stayed in. I did have a private room, but it was large and comfortable, overlooking the river. It is a very clean place, located close to everything in town. The staff was friendly. Would staff here again.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was good, there are a few spaces across the road to park your car, however does mean you will have to either move it or pay for parking after 8am. The breakfast had a lot of options which is nice.
Cons: They will charge your card a ‘prepayment’ of the entire cost of your stay and when you arrive they will charge. This makes things difficult if you wish to pay cash or wish to use a different card like I did (travel card not credit card) The bed that I was given was up against a fireplace in our room which meant it wasn’t up against the wall which lead to quite an uncomfortable night as you were constantly worried about falling out of bed from the top bunk.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked our stay. Location is super, couldn't be any better in Ennis. Parking was available just other side of the road. Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful.
Cons: Everything was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly and competent , great place to use as a base . Was everything we thought it would be

It would have been better to inform guests that booking was indeed required.

Pros: The staff at reception could not do enough for me, very fr iendly and halpful. The room was lovely, clean, good size and the beds comfortable.
Cons: The toilet paper was in a locked unit that was placed on the side of the wash hand basin but the loo was tight to the wash hand basin so you had to remember to take your toilet roll before using the loo. Thats the only fault.

Pros: Excellent service and accommodation.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location. And the registration lady copied a bus schedule for us and delivered it to our room. +++
Cons: Arriving in the rain, with two 80-year olds, one using a cane, and luggage, the lady in the coffee shop directed the 4 of us back outside in the rain to another door, which led back into the coffee shop and the lift. ??? The hallways were difficult to navigate despite the signage. Push doors very hard to open.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, lovely staff & spacious room.
Cons: Queens is an old hotel with ramps and step in the corridor. The bed was lumpy and the shower temperature could not be adjusted. The hotel is located on a busy street with single glaze windows. It’s very noisy with traffic and people. This in turns makes in it difficult to sleep. If you require a hair dryer, iron or tea coffee facilities you need to ask for them.
3.3 Mediocre

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and the pub downstairs has good food.
Cons: Room smelt like smoke and you could hear the water pump go off every time someone in the building flushed a toilet or turn on a tap which was quite noisy especially when trying to sleep.
