We made reservations last January, for RAGBRAI, which is a bike of 10,000 to 15,000 riders. One week before the they called us that they didn't have rooms for us! Needless to say we were very upset! There were no rooms to be found for miles around. So we were satisfied with their service.
Basic sleeping accommodations and light breakfast bar which I did not partake. The price was right for what you get. The room had the typical funky motel odor. It was a 5 on 1-10 scale in my opinion. The TV remote had issues making it difficult changing channels. I did not mention either of these to staff. If it weren't for these, I would have rated 9 out of 10.
The housekeeper left the door open after cleaning the room, so our belongings were not secure for iver 5 hrs. I caalled the front desk and they said they would look into it. I dont feel like they took my complaint seriously. I will not stay here again.
Location Workers Breakfast No
The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was great! Nothing major was wrong. Just a few minor flaws, but nothing to write home about.
Staff was great! Where mattresses met wall, cobwebs, dirt and dust. Could use extra blankets, pillows lumpy.
Close to people I was visiting. Breakfast was nice. No
The location and the staff A lot of construction workers. I would not let my wife go out of the room by herself. One guy smoking pot just outside the entrance
We chose the Super 8 in Estherville because it was close to where we wanted to be and the price was lower than Spencer and Spirit Lake. The bed and pillows were much to firm for us and we chose not to fight our way into the small room in which the continental breakfast was served.
