Situated in Costa Occidental de Cantabria, this hotel is 0.3 mi (0.5 km) from Cueva El Rejo and within 6 mi (10 km) of Ferreria de Cades and Castillo del Rey. San Vicente de la Baruqera Town Hall and Church of Nuestra Senora de los Angeles are also within 6 mi (10 km).
Pros: We arrived as a group of three mature bikers from the ferry at Santander. From the moment we arrived at this quiet hotel we could not have been made more welcome, although more Spanish lessons wouldn’t have gone a miss. The husband and wife team cooked us the menu of the day and we ate like kings, along with Vino Tinto and a couple of beers. After a comfortable nights sleep we were treated to a fresh buffet breakfast and were waved off to our next destination. This hotel is in a small village and the only place for drink and food, but you will not be disappointed and is a better ride from Santander than taking the A8 !!
Pros: Excellent service from every member of staff. Spotlessly clean. Very good home cooked food and overall excellent value for money. We would recommend unreservedly and would definitely stay again.
Pros: Clara was a wonderful hostess!
Cons: wifi & food
Pros: The staff are fantastic, friendly and with great attitude towards kids. The hotel is nicely located in a quiet area, with easy access to the points of interests. The hotel has a nice lobby with sofas.
Cons: Our 3-person room was way too small as for a tipical room for 3 people. Moreover, as we got a room above the kitchen our comfort was additionally decreased. The bathroom is very basic, there is no even a rack for towels.
Located in Costa Occidental de Cantabria, Posada La Torre is a 5-minute drive from Cueva El Rejo and 9 minutes from Castillo del Rey. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Clean, and comfortable (bathtub!). Friendly, family run, the daughter speaks good English. Close to the only bar in the village. Peaceful rural surrounding.
Cons: The breakfast was very spartan. Not even ham and cheese.
Pros: The manager was incredibly helpful, we were camino walking and he provided an early breakfast for us.
Cons: The shower was not very safe.
Pros: The restaurant across the street is great.
Cons: The place was cold, the hosts were cold- very stoic. The bathroom is tiny, but functional. The breakfast was extremely limited... slice of toast, juice and coffee. I only stayed because I could not walk any further.
Pros: Very helpful staff, quiet location and comfortable old fashioned room. Dried clothing for me. Lively restaurant very close by. Very quiet location.
Cons: Food not available at this hotel in the evening I was there.
Pros: Perfect if you look for a quiet place far from tourists, yet not far from the coast. There is a good restaurant with familiar atmosphere a few steps away from the posada, and that’s essentially the spot where you will find some people in the evening.
Cons: Breakfast is rather spartan
