8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is definitely the best place to stay in Etreta. Very beautiful old house, stylish design, great breakfast.
Cons: The only thing which disappointed us very much was changing our reservation (which was made a month ago) from sea view room to garden view in the day of arrival. The host said it happened due to technical reason and there is no possibility to fix something. But next morning we found out that the room was cleaning up after other guests :( We booked this home especially for the room with a sea view...

Pros: The breakfast was splendid ! In a room with a view, a splendid view, and nice talking with the 'gastvrouw', who told us a lot of interesting things about Etretat. We stayed only for one night, but we would very much like to return there one day, such a nice place, I really recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you’re staying in étretat, then you need to stay here. Everything was perfect. The view of the cliffs, the room we stayed in (incredibly comfortable, by far the best we have slept in whilst in France. Was like sleeping in a cloud. Touria was beautiful and made everything so easy. We were given cider and homemade sweets on arrival. She gave us great advise on where to eat for dinner and where to walk to avoid the big crowds of the main cliffs. She made a very yummy brekki the next morning and then came out after cooking up a feast and asked my partner if he wanted eggs, which she then got fresh from her hens. Their beautiful animals are well behaved and were friendly (we were starting to miss our fur babies, so it was nice to be able to pat and cuddle them). By far the best B&B i have been too. You won’t regret staying here.
Cons: Nothing. We should have stayed more than one night. We will be back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent accommodation, there is an outstanding view, sound of the sea, view of the Etretat... And the breakfast, one of the best or the best I've ever had while travelling. Also the host was very pleasant and helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner and her family were lovely and warm and really made us feel at home. Perfect views of 'la Falaise d'Aval et l'Aiguille' from their patio. Upon arrival we were welcomed to an introduction with Étretat over a glass of beer and wine! We got a couple of invaluable tips that served us the next day such as walking all the length of the cliffs and coming back along the beach and through the holes in the cliffs. It was a very long walk, but quite rewarding. Breakfast was mostly home cooked and there was a true abundance of food. There was no way you're leaving that table hungry! The food was excellent!
Cons: Not really a dislike, but due to my allergic reaction to pets I feel it should be mentioned. If you are allergic to certain animals, there are a number of chats and a very friendly dog on the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast of a lifetime-prepare your day around it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hostess. Created excellent and plentiful breakfasts. Due to baking tarts and cookies and fresh juices every day breakfast is served at 9:00, so if you have to leave early, this might become a problem. Rooms are not roomy, whis is not aproblem in the summer, because there is a lush garden. It might be a problem in the winter if you're inside for longer periods of time
Cons: Late breakfast at 9:00
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best place in the city to stay! The perfect location with the view on the rock and just across the street from “Les Jardins d’Etretat”. Comfortable rooms lovely decorated. The host instructed us clearly about nearest attractions and recommended restaurants for a dinner. The breakfast is generous and very tasty served with the view on the rock.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The table was covered in all sorts of tasty treats for breakfast. Certainly didn't need any lunch! The views across Etretat to the cliffs is breathtaking. We sat on the terrace and watched as the lighting changed the mood. Very relaxing place to stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly stuff, delicious breakfast and wonderful view
Cons: We were surprised to observe the chicken in our apartment (it was house, and chickens walked in neighborhood of the apartment).

Pros: We like its situation. Staff are very helpful. When sunny it is lovely to sit outside in the deckchairs and have a drink. The room we had was lovely and nice to have a balcony to sit out and look over Etratat.
Cons: It would have been nice to have had perhaps a sandwich whilst sat outside on the lawn but you could only have lunch.

Pros: It is beautiful. We expected a room with a back view, which we had, but it also had a view of the cliffs and the town. Our room was large and well appointed with a great bathroom and amenities. A short walk to the beach and town meant we didn’t need our car. A plus was free parking. A very good dinner in their restaurant which has a panoramic view.
Cons: Nothing

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and room layouts. The restaurant, the bar and the staff were just excellent.
Cons: Rooms a little dated and poor WiFi.
5.3 Okay
Pros: The location in Etretat of the Dormy House is wonderful. Our room had an incredible ocean view. And the restaurant at Dormy also had a wonderful panoramic view. There was a short footpath which led directly to the beach.
Cons: The individual rooms are quite dated and dusty. It doesn't have all the modern comforts of a newer hotel such as in-room internet access. And the design of the rooms and hotel was a bit antiquated - it simply looked outdated rather than Old World.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast.
Cons: Small shower room. Sound insulation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent find just outside of the touristy area of Etretat. I was arriving by bicycle so getting around was more difficult. My host kindly made me dinner when I found out that the only restaurant in town was closed that day. She even offered to wash my cycling clothes. No one has ever offered that level of service before. The room was spacious and clean. There are only three rented rooms so there was no problem with access to the shared bathroom. I had a great sleep in this quiet community. Overall a very good experience!
Cons: One thing I didn't realize is that there is no credit card machine on site so be prepared to pay in cash (this was probably my own fault for not reading the site in detail).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is not far from the center in the calm area in a very romantic village. The room is large, the shower is so good with the hot water and towels and every thing you usually need when travelling. The garden is very beatiful, you can calmely sit there and drink your morning-coffee. Brigitte is nice, polite very helpful lady. The breakfast was by the time we asked and that was only fresh good products of the country side served with with much attention and love)) We highly recommend this place. Pros: It is an giant old house with a beautiful garden and plenty of space for children. It has an atmosphere of 50’s, being there is really an experience. Mr Raphael, the owner, and his wife are incredible persons and will do everything to make you feel at home. Great breakfast offered by them. The room is huge and clean, the furniture is amazing. I do want to stay again with my family!
Cons: The house does not have elevator and the space for parking is very limited, however that details does not compromise the overall experience.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room in beautiful house. Great atmosphere and excellent breakfast. Very friendly owners. Property a little up the hill and a few minutes walking to the beach and center. Can be reached by car (use access for residents).
7.5 Good
Pros: It's a beautiful old mansion uphill surrounded by ancient trees overlooking the falaises of Etretat. We enjoyed the seclusion, the beauty of the house and the fact that we didn't have to worry about parking, which can be a real hassle in Etretat. We had a big comfortable room elegantly decorated and with a beautiful view of the village and the bay. We also appreciated the freshly cut flowers in the room. It's not so difficult to find the place by car as many other travellers complained in their comments. It's actually quite simple if you follow the host's instructions (and not the navigator's).
Cons: The bathroom could have used a bit of refurbishing, the toilet seat was sliding sideways….Breakfast was unsatisfying.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: You feel invited at someone´s home. The owner is courteous, flexible, and the home is just superb. We had a view on the bay with the cliffs. it´s all so quiet and peaceful. The reakfast in the dining room is very nice, great quality of products.
Cons: Everything was great, i do think however that shower gel should be in the bathroom. That´s my only remark.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Magnificent view over the city and the cliffs. Very warm welcome by the owner. Historical building. Cosy and truly charming. Highly recommended when you go to Étretat.
Cons: Parking at the residence can be complicated when there are many guests.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.
7.0 Good
Pros: The garden
Cons: Breakfast was nice but we were all squashed together. Would really benefit from slightly more table space.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely place in the middle of french countryside, animals all around the farm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The place was fantastic! Quite, conformable, clean. The room was spacious and the owner Sebastian amazing. Exotic animals all around it could be a zoo, but there was no oder. A beautiful black swan greeted you as you walked in an out. The French breakfast cost extra and was worth it. Just an amazing place. Close to Etretat. Thank you so much Sebastian for creating this lovely place and allowing us to stay as tourist. I can not recommend this place enough. Not to be missed.
Cons: Not a thing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good wifi. Lovely private cottage and parking in secure gated grounds. Shower and constant hot water. Plenty of towels, hair dryer. Mini kitchenette, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, hot plate. Plenty of china, glasses, cutlery, pots & pans. Enjoyed sitting out on the patio beside the pond after a day out sightseeing and nice to walk around looking at the varied animals and unusual plants. Our host was always on hand and happy to make our stay more enjoyable.
Cons: Bed mattress a bit on the hard side. If you like soft pillows bring your own. Plenty of bread but no croissants for breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, friendly hosts
Cons: Thin walls so you hear everything happening in the building. Luckily there are not that many rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The black swan in the pond next to the front door always greeted me in the morn. The peacock screamed a greeting from time to time. The farm animals were fun to watch from a nearby road. We did eat at the restaurant but did have picnics and wine on the grounds. Short drive into town of Etratat where there are many fine restaurants.
Cons: There was no sink in the kitchen but the coffee pot and refrigerator were sure used a lot.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast, the cottage, very quiet. Convenient location. Great idea to recommend nearby places to eat
Cons: A sink in the kitchen & coffee pods for the coffee machine would have been a good idea!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property and nice farm animals
Cons: Checkin/ out times are very specific so pay attrntion! Likewise breakfast yime is only 9-10
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, knowledgeable and helpful owner, good breakfast, lovely grounds. The rooms we stayed in had twin beds upstairs and a double downstairs - perfect for a family.
Cons: We were there during the heat wave so this might by atypical but the upstairs rooms were incredibly hot. There is no fan in the room and we couldn't keep the windows open because there were no screens and lots of mosquitoes. We had to sleep on the floor of the downstairs room due to the heat - a few fans and screens would have made a big difference! But again, maybe this was all due to the rare heatwave and isn't an issue at any other times.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful house, decorated with love, a lot of interesting antique interior details. The room is very comfortable, with wooden floors and carved wooden furniture. Awesome pink bathtub right in the room. Many thanks to our host Wilfrid for the hospitality and the time he spent with us, telling about Normandy, routes to the cliffs of Etretat, restaurants in the city, local life and history. Breakfast was also wonderful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying in Wilfried's place was an unforgettable experience for me. The house was decorated beautifully. Most modern flats and rooms look like the IKEA catalogue, they are the same all around the world. But Wilfrid's house is completely different. You can feel the history there, you can see how real France looked like in the past. It is the best place to stay for people who are interested in arts and history of France. Also Wilfrid is incredibly welcoming and helpful host. I really enjoyed staying there. And I hope to come back in the future
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place. Wilfrid was wonderful and told where to go, it was amazing. I really love been there. <3
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location was excellent.
Cons: The toilet is not in the room. The bath was part of the room with no seperation.no shampoo only body soap. You cant stand and shower as you will wet the wooden floors and carpets witch the owner asked not to wet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The friendly attitude and helpful recommendations of the host
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner's wife is an artist, and the owner himself has an antique arch. The house is very beautiful and looks like a museum, inside a lot of interesting things. Even if you are embarrassed to talk with strangers at breakfast, or if there was an awkward pause, you can always occupy yourself looking at the room. We had three breakfasts and every day we found something new in the dining room. The room in which we lived was very clean, comfortable and homely. I wanted to look at everything, to touch it. The owner is welcoming and hospitable. He is a very interesting conversationalist, tells with great interest where to go for a walk and even draw a map. He will tell you where better to eat, orient at what time will ebb, which will open the cave to the neighboring beach. He gives really good advice. And when I fell down during walking, me and my coat was in seaweed, he took my coat in the laundry and gave me his peat jacket, so that we could keep walking. But you should know that on the first floor there are two little dogs. They do not cause any inconvenience, we have seen them only twice. But if you are allergic, keep this in mind.

Pros: Staff very kindly

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent guest house in 3 km from the center of Etretat. This hotel was chosen specially. We are not tourists, we are travelers. From the hotel you can turn into the field and go to the beach, bypassing the golf course. So you can fully enjoy all kinds of rocks, tides and beaches. Incredible mischievous mistress pleased us with her behavior. Her English language was also amusing: if something she can not answer us in English, then she will respond in French and it does not matter that we do not know it (those. 60% of French speech).

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic quirky hotel with stylish rooms each with the theme of a famous literary detective. Ours had a secret sliding door a small salon, bathroom and toilet hidden behind elegant mirrored wardrobe doors. Very comfortable bed and every detail well chosen. Wonderful location 5 minutes from the each with its spectacular cliff formations at either end. Highly recommended
Cons: Road was busy with Sunday traffic but this subsided by late afternoon and was then no problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy, charming, clean, nice staff, a wonderful apricotmarmalade
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was just amazing. Well decorated, stylish, with 2 levels and window with a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable and clean. You can feel yourself as a part of a movie.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and we liked decoration of the room. Detective theme was fun and the location of the hotel was excellent.
Cons: We were together with my wife and had some time to be without children. Somebody came to our door at the evening (10 pm) shouting; walls are thin and we should stop that (what adults do sometimes, expecially when they are on holiday). That felt bad and ruined our staying at hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quaint and something different from the normal stay. Breakfast was lovely. A lot of attention put into the the theme of the hotel. Great location in a lovely village.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location & atmosphere
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the quirky nature of the hotel and the curated collection of memorabilia and detective 'prop-ery'. The salon was a terrific spot for breakfast and breakfast was good too (very friendly and helpful staff)but the upper floors / rest of the hotel couldn't quite keep up, looking a bit tired or trying too hard in other places. Staying in the duplex (up three flights to sleep on the second floor) was a little odd and too cramped for a family of four. The central location of the hotel is a hit but comes with the usual caveat about plenty of noise and drifting vehicle and smokers' fumes if your windows are open and you overlook the main thoroughfare. Turn right out of the hotel and right again to head towards the seafront and find 'nicer' restaurants. We loved climbing the cliffs and the beach front along with everybody else in town it seems.
Cons: Parking is a faff. You can find spots about 5 mins away for 5 euros a day but it's not easy when it comes to loading/unloading. Eating 'reasonably' is a bit tricky also in Etretat - £60 plus per meal - so best to head to a boulangerie for a sandwich on the go. Then run the gauntlet of the gulls....
4.5 Okay
Pros: Clever rooms
Cons: The only parking in town is limited duration, for pay parking - which means you have to get up and move your car. No staff was readily available when we arrived, and they did not give us the password for the internet when we checked in, and no one was around when we returned back to the hotel. The shower was filled with mold - not just on the ceiling from poor air circulation on the bathroom, but on the shower walls and floors, from lack of regular cleaning. The room smelled musty. The breakfast was 9 euros per person additional, so we purchased croissant au chocolat and coffees from the boulanger across the street at a total cost of 4E20.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the detective theme. One or two fun surprises which showed our ‘detective’ skills weren’t as good as we thought they were! Really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back for a longer stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, right next to attractions and restaurants. The beds are clean and fresh, clean showers. The hotel is very small and charming, with its "Detective" decorations, being located right to the Maurice LeBlanc's house, Arsene Lupin 's "father".
Cons: May be pleasant to people used with antiquities, old smell of wood and, generally, historic buildings, but I couldn't get over the smell...

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is lovely. We really enjoyed having a glass of wine in the evening in the common space. It has wonderful ambiance. Also, there is parking available and the centre of town is just a short walk. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. we are vegetarian and there was a vegeterian option but only one and it was only OK.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy and individually styled rooms.
Cons: There was someone repairing chairs both days in the entrance to the hotel which was an odd place considering it is the first impression you get of the hotel. Similarly the space seemed to be being used for a discarded table football and coats...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant staff and good hotel setting
Cons: Breakfast not included for that price shouldn't be acceptable
5.0 Okay
Cons: The bed was very cold. There was not enough covers. I find the price overrated comparing to higher standards. Also the location is to far away from the center which should make the price go down
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, in a perfect location, allowing for great views over Etretat. The room we stayed in was one of the most interestingly decorated hotel rooms I've ever seen: full of character, while at the same time very comfortable. The dinner at the hotel's restaurant was a unique experience.

Pros: Marie was a excellent hostess. Wonderful breakfast, comfortable bed and perfect location!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Just 5/10 minutes walking from the centre of Etretat and with parking, it’s position is great. You will find yourself in a family’s house but we never felt like intruding and the welcome was very warm, Also with much help for recommendations. Breakfast was lovely. The place has a garden and it has a lovely warm feeling to it given by the wood all around. The bath/shower and sink are in the room itself (with no door), which is spacious and with a very comfortable bed. Lovely place! Thank you for having us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even though it was a B&B I didn't expect that we were the only ones there. The owner was very welcoming and the parking excellent in the busy town of Etreat. Our room had everything you could need and the bathroom new and very well equipped. The toilet was in the entrance area but was exclusive to us. The owner chatted to us in the morning whilst she was preparing our breakfast. All very civilised welcoming and homely. Would recommend to all.
Cons: nothing.

Pros: Lovely location. this is the second year we have stayed whilst touring the area in our classic cars, great location, lovely people and a great safe place to park the cars a long way from the road.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place. Not easy to find , even with GPS but it's just at the bus stop . Quick explanation on arrival, huge room and good bed. Very quiet at night. Owner speaks little English, good chance to practice your French. Breakfast is continental, French style, good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly host, quiet place, free parking, comfortable and clean room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was wonderful , close to Etretat but not right in the town. The yard was set up for outdoor relaxation. The whole place exuded class without a high cost.
Cons: The breakfast could have been a bit more full , but we were there in October and were the only people staying so maybe she didn't go "all out" for just 2. After having stayed in English B&B's with their full english breakfast a baguette , jam , juice and coffee left us wanting.
7.5 Good
Cons: Bad sound isolation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious and clean. The location was fantastic only a few minutes drive to the Cliffs of Etretat.

Pros: Rabbit, dog. Location.
Cons: Hard to find toilet flush button. Place is beautiful. 200meter to beach and hardly 50 to town centre. Ollivia is nice host. Special thanks to her Niece, rabbit, cat and dog. It was nice stay. Enjoyed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It is near to the beach
Cons: It is actually a bed and breakfast. There is no clear instruction how to park our car. There is a small time window for check in which make us difficult and need to pay extra if check in outside of the time window.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cosy clean place in the middle of town and close to the sea. Nice breakfast , hospitable host and adorable animals )
Cons: As the house is quiet old , the walls are thin and you can hear what’s going on at the other rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very friendly host, very good breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Etratat is an expensive little coastal resort. This was probably the best value to be found and it was very welcoming, superb breakfast, excellent location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It's an old house with a lot of character in a modern shape with all the luxury one needs. The bath room next door was beautiful and almost as big as the room. The breakfast in the morning was beyond perfect, it was amazing!
Cons: The only thing that we didn't like was the smell of the dog you have inside the house, even in the room a bit. After a while you don't smell it anymore, but it still captures you each time you enter the building.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, location excellent. Facilities need a little pick up...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room. Parking available on site. Short walking distance to the etretat cliffs. Great breakfast.

Pros: close to the town center. the bathroom, although it was external, was large and fully equipped (larger than the room...)
Cons: the facility is very small, the room so tiny I couldn't even open the suitcase. breakfast simple and quite poor. the facility available only at 18:00, not a minute before. it is supposed to be an hotel, but acts like a private house.

Cons: Everything was good, the only thing there was not tea/coffee spot in the room
6.8 Good
Pros: Centrally located in a beautiful half timbered old building.
Cons: Room was very small, especially the shower. No proper headboard to the bed. Need to be fit, four flights of stairs and no lift.
7.5 Good
Pros: Unusual very old building, authentic! For one night is good for interesting experience. Very good location- just one minute to the beach!
Cons: 1.No air conditioning, so you need sleep with open windows 2. All night seagulls and drinking people from restaurants did not let us sleep

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect ! The hotel is beautiful as much as the room. The staff is really nice and very accomodating. We definitely want to come back !
6.3 Good
Pros: We booked the large family room for 5. The room was classy, cosy, spacious enough and partical.
Cons: The big problem was the noise from the street. If you want to sleep at night, just don’t book here. The street itself was not that busy but the single glazed Windows, so old that They don’t even shut (large gaps) Made that you hear everything. From people talking (just normal volume), to knives touching platen in the restaurant below to chairs moving. From the emptying of the dumpsters to the seagulls (a lot of them). A period hotel is great but for that price you expect some degree of comfort...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel occupies a historical building, tourists stop to make pictures of it. It’s authentic inside. The hotel is clean, location is great.
Cons: The room was really small, but the price was adequate. The administrator was inattentive at our check-out and tried to double charge. After some discussion she checked the documents and the situation was settled, but I was ready to pay because we had a scheduled transport and to try to settle the situation with booking.com. Of course it would have taken a lot more efforts afterwards.
7.0 Good
Pros: The feel of a 400 year old building: with all modern comforts. Very clean rooms. Four poster bed was comfortable.
Cons: In keeping with the architecture; the windows were single glazed. Unfortunately it meant a lot of noise instruction from the busy street below.

Cons: We knew there is no parking, but they could make an effort to provide a place where you can offload luggage. Dragging your bags up the stairs is difficult.
