Pros (+) We stayed one night at the Timbers and it was just fine. It's an older motel but located very close to campus. The room was comfortable and clean.
Pros (+) The Timbers has a good location in downtown Eugene, parking, and a room that are nicer than you might expect. You would guess that it will be another cookie-cutter hotel room, but it actually had some character.
Cons (-) We stayed on New Year's Eve, and there were some people partying directly above us that night. I don't fault the hotel much for this, but it was still annoying.

Pros (+) Beautifully renovated interior with mostly new furnishings and decor. Lock was not the safest on the door; it was the original lock and only locked partially on some settings. Free hbo channel. Could be $10-$20 cheaper for the location and size but for a just passing thru stay it was perfect.
Cons (-) Location, door lock, price ( but it was far cheaper than the other liveable motel/hotel options). Watch billing- orbitz told me 1 night and the motel 3 nights- they fixed it but just double check to be safe!
