Hotel is beautifully decorated with a lot of windows allowing you to admire the landscape. We had a mountain facing room, which allowed us to see a glimpse of the Northern Lights without standing outside in the cold waiting.
Like most meals in Iceland, the restaurant was very pricey (especially the wine).
Good location, nice nature. Very clean and new.
Room was kind of small, like a city hotel and uncomfortable bed. unfortunate there is no porch to walk out on, since Rooms are on the first floor. Nice bathroom but kind if small.
Service and amenities very good. Breakfast choice also very good.
We had a "seaview" room but you cannot really see the sea. Better to designate it "sea side" room. Mountain view rooms have real view of mountains.
Beautiful view Great dinner food Trendy design Nice staff Cool location
Not sure how it compares to other properties in Iceland but this place felt like a major rip off. Bed was like sleeping on wood. The doors are so loud, make noise when you unlock and they SLAM shut. You can hear everything going on in the hallway inside the room, all your neighbors and staff. The restaurant faces “the sea” which is barely visible because it is so far away. The Mountain View is the highlight but the parking lot is in front and blocks the view. Overall very noisy, I needed ear plugs to get a full night sleep. Place would be way nicer with some noise cancellation/ installation/ something to block noise of staff and other guests. $450 USD for a mediocre experience in my honest opinion.
We loved the contemporary atmosphere. The food was delicious. Everyone was very nice.
The room was extremely hot! The window only opens a small crack. No fans etc. also there was no was to call for room service. Such as an extra towel etc. we had to get dressed and walk to the desk for any help.
