It has an old charm. I was charged a fee for the dog. The guy gave me some story about how I should call ahead of time... How does that change anything if you had the room I need, just wanted more money. List clearly that you may charge a fee for dog or don't say dog friendly

The location in proximity to my personal business. Continental breakfast was very poor. Oatmeal and bagels everyday. No milk or juice.

Excellent

This place has the charm and character of a really old hotel. It's very quiet and peaceful. Bed was comfortable. Room felt homey. The bathroom could have used a tub instead of shower.

You are minutes away from hiking, off-road trails, and mountain biking. This makes a great base camp for whatever mountain activities you enjoy. In the winter, you are only 23 miles away from Breckenridge for world class skiing. Also, there are many snowshoeing trails close by on Hoosier Pass, Mosquito Pass, Kenosha Pass or near town. This home is very family friendly and is set up with cable and internet. The home has three bedrooms (two king beds, and a queen bed) and 2.5 bathrooms. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom in this cozy top level house. There is a basement, but it is not yet finished (perfect for tossing skis and boots without worrying about the wood floors). One bedroom has a bunk bed that sleeps 3 (full/twin bunk) and the master bedroom has a full size bed. This home is immaculately clean and we provide all the fundamentals needed to cook and enjoy. Modern appliances, TV with DVDs (no cable) and satellite internet. Internet is via satellite and is fast enough for browsing internet, checking email and messaging. It does not support video streaming, or FaceTime. The large balcony overlooks two colorado 14'ers and the heavily treed lot (apps 1.5 acre lot). You will enjoy complete privacy. Just in case someone is sensitive to altitude, the home is equipped an oxygen condenser (in the off chance you need a little more O2). The drive to Breckenridge is about 25 miles. There are restaurants in FairPlay (about a 10 minute drive). Note, the location on the map is not precise, so we would provide the exact directions. We have enjoyed this home for a few years now (first owners) and are confident you will too. You must have a 4-wheel (or all wheel) drive vehicle in the winter and spring months. The summer we recommend at least an all-wheel drive. The cabin is remote and can be tricky to find in the dark. Recommend getting there in the daylight. The stars are amazing at night when the sky are clear. This cabin has central heating but no air conditioner. The temperatures drop to around 40 degrees at night in the summer and that keeps the cabin nice and cool. HomeAway Read more

The national forest that surrounds the property is idea for hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, fishing, biking, 4 wheeling, and hunting. If downhill skiing and snowboarding are your sport, Breckenridge is just 30 minutes away. Other ski areas nearby uncle Copper Mountain, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin. The Arkansas River is a short drive west and has some of the best white water rafting and kayaking. Wildlife that frequent the property include elk, mule deer, bobcat, moose, mountain lion and black bear. The home features a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, three bedrooms with queen beds, 1 sofa sleeper, and three full baths. WIFI, Dish Network, TV, DVD, puzzles, and games are on site. You don't have to worry about the neighbors. There aren't any.
