We stayed in three hotels during our trip to Italy, and this was our favorite. Very centrally located, a short walk to all the museums, etc. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and sincerely friendly. The room was gorgeous, the breakfast the best we've experienced in a long time. We'd definitely stay here again if we returned to Florence.
A tad cold, even though it was in the 90s outside. Had to turn off the AC. That did the trick.
Great Location. Great Staff. Needs Soundproof wind
The hotel is beautiful. Great location. Cosy. It reflects Florence at its best. The staff was great, friendly, helpful, knowledgable about the area, restaurants, shows. We had a great time.
Our only complaint is Florence is a noisy city at night and that requieres windows that are soundproof. If they change this, its a 5 star for us.
Its nearness to all the important sights of Pisa.
design, room, location, breakfast and every thing. Also I got upgrade and a bigger room.
It is good located in sightseeing.
The five star NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa hotel is thought to be the oldest hotel in Italy and dates back to the 13th century. This extraordinary hotel features marvelous frescos and is set in the heart of historic Florence. Steps away, you will find the famous Uffizi Gallery, the breathtaking Duomo, and the Arno River with the Ponte Vecchio. High-end boutiques and fine dining are also close by, on the elegant Via Tornabuoni. Our 70 rooms combine modern design with classic elegance. Each room has ivory-colored furniture, natural wood, and warm tones, while many feature stunning frescos and restored 19th century pieces. There's also a pillow menu available. Our Torre Monalda Suite is truly unique as it is set in the historic tower and has panoramic views over the city. The Presidential Suite is ideal for an intimate celebration or event. Our fine breakfast is served in a beautiful traditional room and offers a large variety of hot and cold dishes, along with freshly pressed juices and brewed Italian coffee. For a light meal accompanied by a cocktail or regional wine, head to Bar.
