The staff were wonderful, spoke English well, and very helpful. Everything outside the room was lovely. There was a large outdoor pool, a jacuzzi and an indoor spa pool. Also some other amenities I did not use. Great location to town center and public market.
The rooms. They were very outdated, very dark, extremely small. Rather monastic. The food varied. One night, EVERYTHING was cooked with hot peppers. The water, though potable, tasted terrible. No free water provided. No fridge. The dining room was like a cave (probably not that bad, but no ambience). you could only get 1 cup of coffee in the morning. It was good though. 2 electrical outlets in room, which are not enough for today's devices. No wifi in rooms.
The outdoor pool water was not clear/clean.
The breakfast was plentiful, but sometimes things were overlooked and were unavailable. Hot drinks were a bit slow to arrive.
The mattress on our bed was hard, and there was just one thin pillow each. The cover on the bed needed a wash.
Very comfy hotel, from all aspect: close to the city center, bus stops are at doorstep to explore the Island, the pools with the bar and the garden are wonderful, you might hardly leave the site, as happened to us. Breakfast is OK, staff is really nice, many extra service offered. Would go back anytime.
Our room was clean, comfortable and basic with air conditioning. There was a bus stop out front. Most of the staff spoke enough English that we could get our questions answered. They were super helpful getting reservations for us. The breakfast room was fully stocked and they even got us rice milk for our cereal. It was a quiet place to sleep and the pool area was a nice place to relax. Forio is a great part of the island, the restaurants are really good.
The lock for our room's door was a skeleton key which was kind of challenging to get it locked and unlocked.
