How the resturant and staff treatd us. We like atmosphere of the resturant over looking the bay. We had some problems with ac in are room and we complain about it and they were unable to fixed it.
I liked the sea view and air, hotel architechture, design and decor, spa and pools, restaurant and the amiable waitors, food, plants, homelike atmosphere tv programs were only in German and Italian, internet access was provoded only in the common area with the queues to the only note-book, I particularly dislikeed rough soldgers' blankets on the bed
very beautiful views of the ocean. Breakfast was nice. staff was friendly. The shower doors in room 825 are broken. Water floods the floor as a result of shower doors that do not shut completely. This was only a minor set back. Towels helped here.
The ppol, spa, and staff were great. The rooms were not up to 4 star standards so I felt a little mislead. The rooms were not attached to the more modern hotel.
The heated pools were nice, breakfast was ample and varied. The water from the faucets is all really excellent- we wondered if it was also thermal water. Nice walking distance from Panza and Sorggeto. Overall good value if you get a good price on a room. (We stayed in an economy room during low season). Our room was across the busy street and up the hill; kind of an inconvenient walk for using the pools. Our room had ants, but the staff did say they would take care of them.
Wellness center room was nice but very very cold
Good location in a quiet area, but near enough to transport links with the rest of the island. Professional staff who were polite and did their job well. Excellent food. Good facilities, for a fairly small friendly hotel.
Very pleasant staff, welcoming and friendly, both in reception and in the dining room. High standards of cleanliness, and well designed public areas. We would certainly return. Disappointed that the spa was not available during our stay due to refurbishment. This may have been notified to those booking directly with the hotel, but did not appear on Bookings website
Excellent location. good food. spa is a great extra. almost all staff very friendly and efficinet One mmeber of staff at reception lost her temper and ranted becuase we left wet foot prints on the floor. She was correct to highlight this becuase it made the floor slippery but I do not go on holiday and pay money to be shouted at. a courteous reminder was all that was needed
The pool was very nice and our room was small but comfortable. Reception staff were helpful, although they spoke very little english. The spa baths were nice. The hotel was very clean and well looked after. Shower was luke warm and not powerful. Restaurant and bar staff were not particuarly friendly or helpful. Breakfast was average. The hotel beach is very small and is very crowded. The bar appeared to close at different times each evening and therefore could not get a drink on some occassions.
This Hotel is in a very quiet part of the resort, staff were friendly and helpful ,breakfast was 1st class-great coffee, pool and spa facilities were good. When i arrived i was told there was a problem with my booking(which i made 6 weeks before) and they could not accommodate me for the 1 st night of my 7 night stay and i would have to stay at a nearby hotel for the 1st night, they put this down to a problem with Booking .Com.i was given a free taxi to this hotel which to my mind was not as good as Villa Durruili, though i was charged the same rate for this night as for the 6 nights at Villa Durrueli. As a way of apology i was given a free massage in the hotels' Spa.The room i was given was on the ground floor juast off of the bar area,on the website it stated that single rooms were on the second and third floor.I would stay t this hotel again but i think i would make my booking via telephone.
the facilities, the indoor whirlpool is awesome, the sauna...we loved it. the breakfast buffet is good we did not know about the dinner dress code, because we only brought beach wear... the food room service is not adviceable, the sandwiches we got we're dry
Staff were excellent -always helpful and welcoming -food was good -pool was excellent, very clean and well presented with good chairs /shade Rooms were small, sea view was limited, bar area small & did not open so no evening/night social activity in hotel
Paola and the staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic and were truly focussed on providing the best customer care. The bathrooms in the rooms could benefit from a little refurbishment.
The advice we got from the night porter on our first night was perfect for us. We could plan our days out that evening with his help. We would have liked to use the bar on the roof top but maybe it was closed as we might have arrived slightly off season.
The hotel is in a nice, green, peaceful location. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are large and very clean. Breakfast is poor and room furniture and bathrooms are not at the level of a 4* hotel. In the complex I would recommend this location having a good price/quality ratio.
The room was very clean and right on the water. The pool and deck were very nice, great views. There were many restaurants and bars close by. The beach was also very close. The staff was helpful and the ferry back to the main land was literally 20 feet away. Although we were in Italy, I am sure that there were people from many countries staying at the hotel. Based on this, the brochures for the activities such as sailing and scuba diving should have been in other languages such as English or Spanish. Also, the massage and wellness packages were very expensive (more than expected). The bed, while big, was 2 beds put together (not exactly romantic).
Their kindness was really amazing, and a location of the hotel is excellent!
The rooms were big and bright. The staff at the desk were friendly and had good English. The location could not have been any better- beside lovely restaurants, across from the marina. The room was cleaned every day sportlessly.
It was very well situated close to everything overlooking the sea. Great views in the evening from the roof area where you can have a drink or take your own drink and watch the world go by! I would come back! Staff hotel could be a bit more smiley at times.
The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful.
the pool, the location Cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful, and dealt with the ant infestation in the bedroom and wardrobe. Management were not so helpful...asked 3 times for an extra pillow (only 1 per person) and towel (only 1 for 2 people!), and each time this involved a trek from the annexe we were in to reception and back.
Hotel was quıte far evey from my expectations and from the level of 4 star hotel.Room was very small there was no towels.Personal of the hotel was not polite food was very poor. swimming pool wıth thermal water
a lovely hotel with very helpfull staff and the setting is beautiful.
All staff were great, so was the food. I did not feel the room was a prestige, as I expected it to be.
no complaint. everything went well as expected.
The View The Hotel was not very close to anything interesting at all.
the view is outstanding. the grounds are beautiful; it was very peaceful. the food was excellent the confusin on the pricing for the children
Very gentle and helpful staff, and very willing. Beautiful location, beautiful views, nice surroundings. Breakfast was excellent. Being in the centre of Forio it is - for the first time - not very easy to find.
Beautiful garden, good size pool
friendly staff and very helpful direttora; we hope she will still be there next year; the hotel is perfectly situated (near Poseidon garden and the wonderful Citara beach); cosy atmosphere and nice guests, no parking problems; a perfect holiday Only that we had to leave when our holiday was over... but we'll be back!!! :-)
The peculiar 4 star rating of this hotel can only be justified by its location, which is directly across the road from Citara beach and right next to the blissful Poseidon thermal gardens. Once you enter these gardens and the thermal water, you feel cured and instantaneously uplifted, as if you're bathing along with the ancient Gods in heaven. The entrance fee in October is 30 euros for the day, 5 of which you get back at the end, which is totally worth it. But if you're on a small budget, the Punta Imperatore have their own charming little thermal swimming pool with its own hydro-massage function, and thermal water periodically flows out of the water-vase which keeps the pool very warm, even throughout the night. Food acts as one of the main let downs in this hotel. Even though the breakfasts are reasonable comprising of a buffet of the usual sweet croissants, boiled eggs, bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt, canned fruit, jams and cake, one is dying for some variety after a few days, and the worst is the coffee which is of such poor quality that it is an embarassment to Italy. Unfortunately we booked the half-board option on Booking.com as a special add-on, and were incredibly disappointed on the 1st evening. One of the things we were mostly looking forward to in Italy is the delicious food, but sadly it would not be an exaggeration to call dinners at the Punta Imperatore appauling, and we weren't allowed to cancel the half-board option.
The closeness to the Poseidon spa beach
Unpretentious. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Next door to Poseidon Spa Gardens. Several eating places close by. The thermal pool area was not particularly attractive. The breakfast was not special. Everthing was "adequate" and very good value for money.
across the street from citara beach, 2 mins from Poseidon spa and the bus stop. Clean, comfortable rooms. Generous breakfast. No complaints.
location, bus station in the front of hotel, superb view from balcony, beach 20 m from hotel, friendly restaurants on the beach
The car parking for free, the seaside view, the terrace, the rooms are a bit small for people with a baby
Good location near Thermal Park and beach, very clean own pool with thermal water. Nice breakfast and very friendly hotel stuff. Excellent panoramic view and sunset show from sea side rooms. Perfect choice to stay in any season for cure and excursions over Napolitano gulf. We had a perfect holydays in this hotel.
The swimming pool!
friendly staff , small, but clean and nice decorated rooms in main building ,short walk to city centre and to the beach ,good ( only cold ) breakfastbuffet - small pleasant hotel with a family atmosphere
We stayed 3 nights here on our way to Sicily. The hotel was fairly charming and the staff very helpful. Good pool and sunbathing areas. We didn't eat an evening meal at the hotel but the breakfast was good and there was a good selection for snacks if lunching by the pool. Hotel was quiet and relaxing. Excellent location for the town and sight seeing. I would recommend this hotel to others. We stayed in the annex rather than the hotel which was a little disappointing and the "garden" was synthetic grass mats that needed updating. The room was clean but basic and it lacked a fridge which would have come in handy. I would describe the hotel as charming but could do with a few updates around the grounds.
friendly staff room, looking (at a rather dark) internal courtyard. Breakfast extremely basics.
The hotel staff were the best we have experienced they certainly made the guests feel at home. The food was great value for money and the hotel facilities were excellent The rooms were basic, not a lot of storage space for your clothes, and no baths only showers
