helpfull english speaking staff. relaxed atmosphere. good beach facilities. generally a very well organised hotel and well situated for touring the area. no bar or hot drinks facilities outside of meal time and nowhere to have an drink before dinner.
The restaurant with its outside dining. The rooms could use some remodeling as far as bedding. They were pretty outdated.
The staff were very friendly and helpful The room was a bit smaller than I am used to in Irish hotels
Evening meal good value, Hotel location, free wifi
I was a bit dissapointed that the hotel private beach and beach restaurant was closed as of 1st October. In fact I chose this hotel because of its private beach to enjoy the autumn sun and calmness. Having set that aside during my stay, I enjoyed the friendliness of the hotel in all other aspects.
Close to road so can be noisy. Large hotel so rather impersonal. Several wedding / other parties whilst we were there so over busy and noisy at night
Well appointed hotel with friendly helpful staff. They gave us a generous lunch pack when we had to leave before breakfast time at no cost to us. Some noise from the dining areas could be heard in our first floor room (functions finished by 1030pm so not a problem for us)
excellent hotel - excellent room with splendid view and facilities - breakfast and dinner were most excellent.
The position of the hotel for the beach and it was easy to get to most places of interest without to much trouble. The car park was used by people not staying at the hotel, but using it to park up and go to the beach.my wife and I actually watched from our balcony ladies stripping of their under clothes before getting into their cars before going home!
Very clean and modern plus close to the beach. Next to the maincoast road.
The pool, the neighbourhood. It was really silent and relaxing! There were always rules or does and don't. For example: You're not allowed to wear long shorts in the pool or take your sunmilk and shoes (not even Flip-Flops) to the pool. Or an informationsheet in the hotel says, that if you ruin a plate it will cost 4 euros and if you riun the curtain it costs 38 euros... And the bed was just a couch.
very peaceful place with wide parking, access day and night, good equipment (coffe machine, microwawe, plates etc) the reception is open only few hours a day, and not all tne days of the week, the deparure time is 10:00 and arrival time 16:00
very nice pool clean a nd spacious studio. no complaints at all. travelling with 2 children under 3 no complaints really apart from no oven/grill only microwave and hob
enough of space, quiet quarter for one night is not very convenient: when check in the inventory needs to be done, it must be clean before leaving. Noisy air conditioner. Only for holidays.
the quietness of the gardens and pool area, very peaceful, clean, perfect for relaxing and exploring the local area the car park needed some attention
Helpfulness of the staff was excellent.
Nice room, wood floor rather than carpet. Nice little balcony. No mirror near power points so if you're a girl it's a pain.
Hotel was everything I expected for the price. Room a little small for a twin room but bathroom and separate WC more than adequate. Breakfast good. A bit out of the town so quite a trek to the beach/port.
well situated for touring the area
Comfortable bed, clean room with a balcony. We had a nice view on the city Frejus and mountains. Fruit market and a huge supermarket nearby. The address of the hotel should be specified exactly (housenumber=990) and not just 'avenue 8 Mai' which is ~2 km long. Finding the hotel might be a troublesome even for those speaking french. 2+ km to the beach/Port Frejus/city center/restaurants. No fridge in the room (although tea/coffee-facilities are available), tv did not work, hotel bikes were stolen, wi-fi has very low signal at the room. Just a small suggestion, the comfort could be improved by adding a table to two chairs at the balcony.
Convenient location for exploring the area. Balcony was useful but noisy from road traffic. The decoration, furniture and fittings were very tired. Our wash hand basin was cracked (which we reported), the shower head had to be replaced, our balcony glass door is badly cracked as is the entrance door to the Reception area. The carpets in the hotel were worn and stained, a dining chair I sat on was broken and removed.
good position- good parking- value for money menu could be more extensive but the choice of a buffet in the evening was excellent value
we were with our bikes and wanted to go to the beach and to visit the city. Very good location for us! Nice and quiet room.
Good access to city Very Spartan, rooms small, dated and in need of refurbishment
Free Parking. Breakfast
Centrally located, pleasant staff, clean room and varied choice for breakfast Small bedroom, very little storage space for clothes.
The relaxing atmosphere, thee hotel staff were really helpfull. Everything was really clean including the pool and beach. The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room
the proximity of pool, lovely setting for breakfast and the private beach Actually we would have dined possibly more frequently in the restaurant but unfortunately the menu was in french and there was nobody on hand to expalin in english. The bar never open when we came in from dining out, no atmostphere, there was nothing to make people sit round and have a drink in the evening
Private beach access/beech chair option. Relaxed hotel atmosphere. Staff helpful. Excellent breakfast. A small point- if dinner menu was in english as well it would have helped.
Friendly staff, nicely located hotel, nice pool and beach. Hotel is or understaffed, or badly organised. Air conditioning in room was ineffective, hence 35°C in room.
The hotel and its staff attributed greatly to a splendid holiday. We will return. The breakfast sessions where sometimes a little bit caotic, and especially coffe was sometimes a rare commodity. It can be improved. Otherwise everything was fully acceptable.
sitting outside at breakfast time in the sunshine was great. It was sometimes a bit noisy in the corrider outside our room with cleaners etc.
Room's relatively large. Immediate access to beach / pool. Tourist area with plenty of local amenities. Pleasant beach walks. No tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast poor. Building (although reasonable) in need of overhaul, particularly building services.
Very good location The quality of service expecially for breakfast was quite disappointing
Being close to the beach and port was a huge plus! Parking was not readily available. In fact, I had to park about 1.5 km away and walk back. This was ridiculous considering the price of the one night stay.
Close proximity to Marina. Available secure car parking. Having to get your own coffee/tea for breakfast. (no waiter service)Potential health and safety hazard as you needed to negotiate steps with hot drinks in your hands to get to the tables on the terrace.
The common area was nice. The furniture in the bedroom was quite old and uncomfortable. The bathroom was not clean.
proximity to town centre and facilities
enjoyed our stay. good breakfasts. room clean and spacious. staff very helpful the hotel was full of competitors for the international mountain biking race.
Great location; friendly helpful staff; nice room.
A hotel full of local character and boasting excellent cuisine. well placed for exploring old Frejus.
Enjoyed general ambience of hotel, also dining in your excellent restaurant. breakfast represented poor value for money; very little choice of food.
Location and facilities (pool etc) Standard rooms very small and no tea/coffee making facilities in room
-Food in the restuarant was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. location good for 'old town' lack of a mini bar
Good location in town, rooms were small but clean and well presented. The tv had more than 1 english tv station which was a bonus Yes!!!! We had booked for 1 night at 92 euro but decided to stay an extra night, the girl at reception told me it would cost 120 euro for the second night. When I asked why she just shrugged her shoulders and said that was the final price and my 92 euro was internet price. I pulled my phone out of my pocket infront of her and while she looked on waiting I proceeded to access the net on my phone and book a second night for 92 euro. I think this was a very very pointless excersise and was the only time we have come across this in a hotel. I liked the hotel but would only recommend booking it on the net as they only seem to want more money from you themselves
Walking distance of central Frejus.
It was reasonably priced. The romms had tea and coffee making facilities.
Handy location, clean comfortable room, parking. Air conditioner didnt work
Coulden´t be better. Helpful staff. We were very pleased. Christina and Kjell Chronberg None
Room was very small
Buffet breakfast = ok. Free car park at the hotel. Airco. Short driving distance to Roman remains and seaside. Quiet area. Friendly welcome Quite a small room and bathroom No lift, but only one floor to climb.Large room key to keep in your pocket :-)
location to Roc D'azur was brilliant, staff helpful. You need to get hairdryers for your rooms. Breakfast is a little expensive.
the hotel locates at the seaside, the view is very beautiful. The room is clean, the Internet net, fitness, sauna, swimming pool are free. It's a good place for holiday, especially for a family. sometimes the seagulls make some noise at night.
The area and location and the excellent service breakfast
The service at the hotel was excellent as was the location, as the nane says its right next to a marina. We thought it was a bit over-priced.
The friendly straff and facilities (swimming pool) Paying for parking
Excellent desk service, very helpful
nice view and well placed in the city
neat hotel with a nice pool
La Marina offers clean and friendly accommodation, the position in the marina is ideal for evening dining with many waterside restaurants within 400 yds. Some of the access slopes for wheelchairs are very steep with ledges so help may be required.
Wo love the location and stayed at this hotel twice in 3 months. We paid extra for a marina view both times and will definitely book a marina view when we return next summer. The swimming pool is a good size with plenty of sun beds. The interior had been upgraded when we returned in August and it is lovely. The hotel is located in a very pretty marina with fantastic restaurants and the walk into Saint Raphael is about 15 minutes. The walk is beautiful with the sea is to your left for the whole walk in. Not anything that I didn't like but in August when we stayed, the pool area was not well maintained. Litter bins were overflowing and a few dirty cups and glasses were at the poolside for 3 days. You have to walk through a small area of water to clean your feet before entering the pool area but it was full of leaves, newspapers etc. I reported this however after 3 days and the full area was cleaned up and was well maintained after this. We didn't have any problems of this nature in June however so I would still return to this hotel. I am sure that this wasn't their usual standard and will be returning next year.
pleasant staff and air conditioned room
Very nice hotel. Stayed 2 nights on a bussiness trip. Furnished with style, good breakfast, clean, private parking. Elevator didn't work, had to carry all the luggage up to 2nd floor.
Clean, tidy, friendly staff, good fresh breakfast daily. Quite hotel even though young families were their. Relaxing for a summer get a way for 2 adults, great location for local beaches and amenities.
The Hotel was very nice, tidy, newly renovated and the staff was friendly and helpful and spoke english. We felt really good in that hotel! Even the french breakfast was surprisingly good and fresh and gave a lot of choices (which is not common for french breakfasts)! There is good parking possibility, and free internet in the room. Perfect place to start your trips to Cannes, Antibes, St. Tropez and other locations close by. The "beach" which was close by was not very nice, but if you drive a couple of minutes you have very nice beaches between St. Aygulf and St. Maxim which are completely free (even the parking). I do not recommend the big beach in St. Aygulf itself cause you have to pay for it.
The hotel staff was very responsive and helped us with reservations for different activities. The breakfast is very good, definitely not "french" like :). The pool is great and we didnt see it crowded. It is very close to a little beach, but far from a larger one.
Nice renovated 3 Star Hôtel with a swimming pool and a lovely terasse outside!Secure parking on site & free Wifi. Nice Restaurant (Jardin des fleurs) 100m away. Other nice restaurant "Chez Thomas" don't miss it!! We had room 1 during our stay for 5 days!Too much noise from the kitchen at 07 am for the morning breakfast..make sure to get a room on the upper level (+1 or +2)!!
Very cozy hotel run by tremendously hospitable family. Sincere and family like atmosphere. Nicely designed rooms with lot of light and very beautiful view outside. Nice restaurant, where very tasty dishes, which are prepared by hotel owners themselves, are added by very cozy design of a room and conditions having to dialogue.
very friendly and welcoming staff
Very nice owners. Clean and friendly. Views amazing. menu limited, but many other places to eat
the room was airy and comfortable. we had a nice balcony with a sea view. it was quiet and relaxing. plenty of parking. the owners spoke good english and were very helpful and friendly. the breakfast was just bread and jam, not worth £7.50. no coffee maker in the room.
Excellent service, family environment, friendly and hospitable owners, excellent food, close to the beach. English speaking staff. Excellent location to stay with a family
Very friendly hosts. Went out of their way to help when we were late arriving because of a car breakdown. Good food.
Nice staff and clean rooms. Very close to the beach. The beach is on the other side of a fairly trafficed road, the traffic is also fairly loud outside on the breakfast terrace. But this was not a big problem, and the road follows almost all along the coast so it is not easy to escape it if you want to stay close to the sea...
perfect for two day stay
Alain and Patricia are great hosts, we spent dear beautiful honey moon and I can recommend this hotel for everyone who likes friendly atmosphere and good cooking
The owners Patrizia and Alain made us feel very welcome, and it felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was sufficient and the salads and crepes in the restaurant were delicious.Relaxing on the terrace with a view of the sea was great. The room was big and spacious for our family of four and the patio just outside our room in the garden was perfect for our son to crawl on. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable.
the marina area close by
Hard to find in the dark
Good hotel, enjoyed the location, just out of the hustle and bustle. A very pleasant walk.
staff was very nice even though we did not speak French. Restaurant had good food and wine we could bring to our room. Clean pool and nice pool area, health/fitness area even though we had no time to use it.Acroos the street from Port Santa Lucia, with nice restaurants.Breakfast was abundant and gourmet, if you're hungry it could be worth the 12 or 15 Euros. Nothing, it was good location for us and clean. It is a 15 min walk to St Ralph center, for those with no car or who can't walk this may be a problem.
We were very pleased with our ability to communicate our needs to the staff and having those needs met.
Very close to everything - only a 10 min walk to the centre of town.
The food, service and the location of the hotel were excellent
room was good with view also resturant very good and parking facilities
very close to the charming St Lucia port sea view from our room was not very good
Bathroom was nice and the balcony. It's good to have a restaurant in the hotel. We missed a fridge a lot. Room was quite small when travelling with a young children. Hotel is not a best option for families in my opinion.
The location was very good and the staff were very helpful. There was no restaurant and it was not possible to have breakfast outside.
It was an quit and nice hotel to stay
The staff was eager to please and helpful. Also the location was perfect near all the action and the beach! no alarm clock.
The reception staff were very helpfull, at all times, the location superb.
Location only No relaxation area!
Perfect location (close to sea, near a train station, restaurants and a shopping area). Helpfull staff. Scanty breakfast (add seasonal fruit, vegetables, pancakes and ext.)
Good location (close to sea & 5 min to train station)/ Responsive personal in the reception Poor breakfast/ The nuisance in the room was old bed linen
the friendly and helpful staff , the pleasant atmosphere and the cleanliness of the room and bathroom it was a pity that the little safe in the room was only available at extra cost
Location. Good for shopping, restaurants, beach, train and bus. Secure parking
Excellent service from reception, internet and TV of high quality, large swimming pool and tennis facilities. We would like to go back with all our grandchilden - a lovely place for family holidays.
I liked the swimmingpool. And the rooms were comfortable. And enough possibilties for sports. The familyroom doesn't have Airco. And the rooms weren't ready when we arrived. They should be ready at 14.00 but was ready at 15.00.That's a pitty when you've travelled for 15 hours by car.
The location. The room shown on the website was not the one allocated upon arrival, we were placed in a separate room in the grounds overrun with ants, my daughter left with more bites than she arrived with.
The front desk staff were very helpful No night reception and no telephone number to advise hotel if guest arriving after 2100.
quiet of the place hard access the first time, none open you, you have to wait till the code is teach you
Friendly and cooperative staff. Service is very good. Rooms too basic and cramped. If we were aware of the size we would not have booked.
Quiet, in a nicely leafy area, easy to find, near many different restaurants, close to the beach. No extra pillows for reading in bed. No little desk or chair in the room. TV so small and so high up in a corner, it would be better not to have it at all. One small bedside table and reading light only for 1 double and 1 single bed. Breakfast a little overpriced for what offered, although nice.
Very nice staff. Pretty, Traditional French family hotel. Pillows too hard. Room pretty small
Not much maye location The room was ery small, bathroom extremely small. The beds were uncomfortable. Staff not available throughout the day only certain times.Needed coffee/ tea making facilities.
Quiet location, close to the beach, very clean, family atmosphere as it is family run. Also the village is not too busy making it more relaxing.
nothing very basic, small room, no facilities. More like a hostel. We left after one night
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Staff were excellent especially Christine who was very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast, wi-fi ok, air con in room, and only short walk (200metres) to the beach. Parking outside hotel. Good value for money.
The location is good. The bathroom with the smallest shower cabin I have seen. The furniture is in bad condition. This hotel must be inspected and repaired asap.
hotel staff gave me pricisely the answers for my questions what I want to know
The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating Sink plug in bathroom didn't work and the shower is somewhat of a tight fit - don't stay there if you like showers and are overweight!
The area is central to the beach and shops, restaurants
very french .good location.comfortable.enjoyed very much.
Nothing much not worth the price we paid compared to other hotels we stayed in France
very close to the beach. nice staff, helpful. wasnt really clean.
