Fridolfing hotels

Pros: The place is incredible, the mood is over the top. The staff is helpful, although not all can speak proper English. The facilities are really high quality and new. The saunas are diverse and of high quality. A true joy for body and soul! The food options on premise were really useful!

Cons: I booked a very expensive weekend when prices were 3 times more than the list ones. Still worth it but definitely the price of a good 5* hotel in the middle of the city.

Pros: Nice little hotel. privately owned. Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood. Next to a tennis center. My room had access to a small pond. Nice wellness center. Excellent restaurant. I had filet mignon which was cooked as requested. Staff is well trained and welcoming. Bavarian !!!

Pros: The view from our room was inspiring. The beds were very comfortable and the people who run Landgasthof Entenwirt Tarsdorf are intelligent and welcoming.

Pros: Very welcoming and attentive staff. The first floor room with balcony offered a superb view of the village and the distant Alps. The relaxed ambience within the sheltered terrace eating area made for a memorable last evening of our Europe trip. We enjoyed the duck main course meals offered by this restaurant.

Pros: Quiet location in a small village. Excellent, clean facilities with a pool; own restaurant (we always love a Schnitzel with a Radler!) and a great breakfast buffet. Elevator to the rooms. We suspect this is a great location for people who stay much longer than one night (as we did).

Cons: Our check-in was strange given that an accident had happened right in front of the "Gasthof" just seconds before we arrived, blocking the regular entrance to the property. That captured a bit too much attention (probably since the wronged car was a beautiful 1960s red Mercedes open cabriolet). No fault of the hotel, of course.

Pros: The apartment was clean and big. The kitchen was equipped with all stuffs and appliances. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The playground outside was nice. A private garage for my car. Florian was very helpful and provide with tour to the city.

Pros: The facility and the host were fantastic. All was immediately available, Florian was just a call away when we arrived and for the whole time was extremely helpful. The 3 bedroom apartment was really very modern and nice looking, all basic equipment available.

Cons: We had a car so we took trips and went to a doggie beach so it was good. Without a car, or a bike, it would be a problem. we loved the trip to salzburg

Pros: The room was spacious and it had a balcony. The couple managing the hotel were very nice and friendly. If you stay here do not skip the breakfast, it was good value for money.

Pros: When we arrived on our bicycles off of the Salzach Bike Trail we were a bit skeptical about the exterior of this hotel . However, walking into the reception relieved our trepidation. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful . Secure inside bike storage was available. Climbing up the flight of stairs did not prepare us for our room . We were in room 109 which was very clean , very bright and well furnished. Bathroom was clean and stocked with toiletries. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The crowning glory was the very friendly staff and the excellent on-site restaurant with very good food choices at a reasonable price point . About 200m. from the birthplace of the hymn - Silent Night .

Pros: The location was very good, just 300 meter from the german-austrian border which is very unique I guess. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was also lovely + free parking.

Pros: The innkeeper and staff were very helpful and friendly, the accommodations simple and clean. I would recommend the hotel for.business or leisure people.

Pros: It is great for kids, the play area, (with a trampoline and plenty of space to run around) and duck pond keep them occupied. Adult supervision is of course needed but it is great. The dining area has a great balance between formal and relaxed, close to the play area. It was not noisy though so the adults too looked as if they were relaxing on their breaks nicely. The restaurant food is fairly priced but could have offered more variety daily but there are also many places to eat in the nearby village. Bikes and locks can be hired free of charge. The lake is just a few minutes walk away with boat hire.

Pros: Beautiful location almost directly on the lake, were you can take a swim or read a book in the sun, rowing and pedal boat can be used for free. Enough opportunities in the environment to bike or visit small towns. Our cozy comfort room had a good bed enough space and a nice balcony. The bathroom is spacious and clean but 70-style. Food served in restaurant and at breakfast is biological. Employees are mostly friendly but not all seem to fit the hospitality sector.

Cons: The hotel markets itself as a 4 star hotel wit a good regional kitchen. For the price level the hotel is disappointing. It is not only that some parts are old fashioned or 70-style, I could have lived with that ( although renovation is clearly necessary).It is even more in the details of taking care of your customers. Why not make sure your windows of the restaurant are cleaned properly and the same for the terrace outside. It doesn’t hurt to remove the weeds, take a broom, or dry the chairs after some rain so your guest are not sitting on a wet chair. It‘s all just a bit to sloppy. That’s a pity as the place has a great potential. We cannot recommend the restaurant the food is biological but under average, even for the traditional bayerische kitchen and the service is weak. If you stay there we would suggest to eat somewhere else.

Cons: A large business group were using the hotel. They were very noisy till nearly midnight, singing and shouting. Appreciate not the hotel’s fault but rather spoilt an otherwise fabulous hotel.

Pros: Clean rooms, rooms a bit dated, but bed was very comfortable. Lovely german breakfast, with a choice of hams and salamis, cheeses and everything you expect to find. Hotel is located in a quiet location out in the countryside.

Pros: Superb service from all staff members, Good value and excellent variety for money! Nice location for letting go soul and stress if any.

Pros: Despite my two negative comments we loved this place and will come again if in the area. Loved the food and the outdoor pool which was perfect for the hot weather. Our room, 107, was fantastic with large balcony. If there was a better room in this hotel I'd loved to have seen it.

Cons: We are dog lovers as I'm sure are the owners of the hotel but several guest had noisy, badly behaved dogs which annoyed us a little. Coffee was nothing special.

Cons: I won't recommend you the 3 or quadruple rooms. They are not nice and not comfortable. The windows don't have any double-curtains and you are awaken by daylight very early. be careful : don't take 'half-pension'. It doesn't exist. We paid €10 each per day and we only ate for €6. It's a rip-off. To find this hotel is very difficult even with a gps. Consider that it is situated in St Leonard. It is easier to find. Don't think you'll be able to have a swim in their outdoors swimming pool-It's not warm as it is indicated. You will never have a dinner outside too.

Pros: Just delightful rural setting. You might need a navigator to get there but well worth it and good value for money. Very homey atomsphere and staff act so friendly and family like. Rooms huge and charming for the children. Pool was lovely and the horses and deer near by was just enchanting.

Pros: The hospitality of the staff in spite of language barriers. Hannus always came to the rescue when translation was needed. Food was very good!

Cons: But bed matresses are out of age and we had to change room because of too small familly room for 4 (3 beds and a camp bed) and... a hornet's nest. Kitchen smelts and general weakness is hotel maintenance (like swimming pool cleaning).
