The Hotel was beautiful, staff were very friendly and the location was very good.
The staff. always a smile Is is a older hotel with nowadays prices. could be lowered
The room was very big and was facing the mountains. The bathroom was brand new, big and clean. The hotel is close to the castle and the mountains, very handy. The staff didn't speak English. The food wasn't good.
meals, rooms and service are very good. There is a spa center in the hotel, but no pool one issue - the hotel is located across the railway station and there is a park behind the hotel where young people socialize till midnight and this is very noisy and annoying
Everything, including the breakfast was great.
Friendly staff, cleanliness Our room was overlooking the train station which was noisy due to people (teenagers) hanging around
The location is very good and convenient, the staff was helpful and courteous. Please keep it up.
Everything was almost perfect: staff is friendly and ready to help, location is perfect for people travelling without a car, room was spacious, no noise from outside, breakfast is good, etc.
The hotel is very close to the train station; it has a wonderful wellness center. There was a long circuitous walk to my room and my room was over the courtyard which was noisy and smoky.
Central location, large comfortable room overlooking small square yet still quiet with an excellent breakfast and u/g parking. Not cheap.
The location of this B&B is perfect for those visiting Fussen. For American visitors...the breakfast part of the B&B will not be a traditional American breakfast.
Location is good, just 5 mins walk fr fussen station.much cheaper than the adjacent hotels. But i think it cannot be regarded as a hotel. I guess the owner of the "hotel" owns several floors or rooms of the house and rent them out for tourist or for short term rental. The hotel checkin is supposed to be done at a cafe on the ground floor of the house, but the staff of the cafe are not quite helpful. When we arrived at 6pm while the cafe staff were closing their business, they refused to let us in and even ignored us. We need to go back to the station to make phone call to the house owner. ( i dont think the cafe owner n the hotel owner is the same person. i guess they hv a deal that the cafe just provides breakfast n checkin assistance). Then the owner brought us to the back of the house n walked along several stairs, which was quite dark, old n the setting was a bit terrible. But when we entered into the room, it was clean, bright, tidy n larger than I ever imagined. All in all, Inside the room was ok, n I just not felt quite comfortable with the setting of the corridor n the stairs. Btw, there is a supermarket near the hotel. We bought some fruits n drinks at v reasonable prices.
Haus Gabriel is a B&B service, you get what's advertised. It is a budget accommodation albeit slightly on the expensive side for the offer. The rooms were fitted with facilities; this somewhat compensated for lack of dedicated breakfast hall. The staff member we met was very helpful, spoke good English, advised us on local attractions and places to eat. The quality of renovations made leaves a bit to desire in order to bring this B&B up to the European standard. The rooms were advertised as double but were in fact twin. No credit cards accepted - but this is somewhat of a problem for the whole shopping and staying experience in Germany so was no surprise.
it is very convenient in terms of the location, close to the bus/railway station and old town. The room is simple and clean, it come with a small kitchen facilities which is very convenient, the bathroom is newly renovated too! The breakfast is from the bakery downstairs and it is very good. After all, it is a simple B&B, good enough if you are looking for something simple and money worth. The gentleman who lead you to the room is a very friendly and nice guy speaking very good English. the only problem was upon the arrival, as the bakery is simply a contact point, if you are lucky enough to arrive before it is closed, it will be better i think. We just happened to walk pass the bakery and when we returned, it was almost closed and we were waiting outside the bakery until the gentleman come pick us up in a cold and dark winter night.
location is nearby the station , staff (owner) is nice and room is clean
There was nothing redeming about this hotel We had to wait 20 minutes in the bakery for someone to show up to allow us to check in. Once in the "Bed and Breakfast" there are lights hanging from the ceiling, there are old mattresses in the hallway, the door to the bathroom doesn't close, the sweetly leave you the cleaning products so that you can clean the bathroom yourself, the tv doesn't work, and the room smells like old cigarettes. My favorite part of the experience was when he asked for cash as soon as we arrived (not at the end of the stay), and then added "fees" to the confirmed total, and finally asked us to take the paperwork for him to the tourist office. All of this is capped off with your breakfast - which to get you have to walk down four flights of stairs, knock on a door, wait for them to give you the food (2 pieces of bread, and some meat) and then walk back up the four flights of stairs to your room.
It provided a perfect base for me to explore the nearby dream castles, the old town and other wonderful sceneries. Perfectly located in the town, only 1or 2 minutes from that small railway station where you arrive; the bus stop in the front of the railway station can provide you buses to castles. If you queue early enough for bus, it only takes you around 15 minutes to reach the tickets office to castles. A superstore is nearby, where I bought food and drinks with lowest prices I found in Germany. The room is quite good: clean simple, with all the basic necessities to help yourself, and the staffs are very friendly, with typical German breakfast, I found the price I pay was quite valued. This is no 'Haus Gabriel B&B' outside. Although the bakery is exactly like what you would see on their picture, I still spent some time to locate its address. As the first day I arrived there late, missed the check in time I had fixed with the staff, I found the bakery was closed, no one was there! It was only around 6 pm! I had to contact the staff through the telephone number they provided; I had to go to the nearby hotel to find a telephone to phone them. Fortunately, there was still an answer.
Staff was nice.Location was perfect.Room was clean.I like here!! I wanted to pay by creditcard coz I am tourist so I didnt have much cash! But anyways,I like this B&B.
Location is good.....near to train station. . The hotel should have a elevator, as we had to climb to the 3rd level with our luggage
Great location. Loved having two bedrooms. No elevator. Parking was very expensive. Breakfast should come with the room but we found a great breakfast place down the street.
Location Front day was not manned when we arrived to leave our luggage to sightsee. Had to time our departure around the time the desk was open so we could store our bags while we went sightseeing.
Very friendly staff
hotel and dinner were good only a few parking spaces and all used when we arrived
Well it's just ok hotel,i think there are so many others better hotel in the town .eur92 a night not a cheap price for such a hotel, and they cant accept visa card payment ,must pay cash!!! Very strange of that!
The owners/staff were very friendly, great humor, and accommodating. When we informed the owner as to what time we were going to have dinner, there was a table reservation waitng for us. For breakfast, we found a table reserved under our room number and was set, ready to eat. The owner's wife was great in helping with our food selection, a great help as the menue was in German. The room was spacious from a German perspective, as German rooms tend to be rather small compared to American room standards. Our luggage was carried for us to our room. The location of this hotel was great for a visit to the Old Stadt, easy walking distance. Very nice athmosphere and quiet for sleep! We would definitely reccomend this hotel. Although we had no problem with parking, it tends to be somewhat tight as the evening crowd comes for dinner. We made cretain to be there before the dinner time.
Staff friendly Quite far away from the Fussen train station
This is a friendly and authentic Bavarian hotel in a great location, with lots of local atmosphere..
The bathroom was total plastic. The bathtub was very slippery and I fell off while having my shower ( I am 34). The receiption was closed until 10am so when we checked out we could not talk to the hotel at all. Of course they had asked us to pay the night before. The room was next to the road so I could hear everything on the road. There was no tea making facility and when we asked for a cup of tea downstairs, we were charged 1.7 euros for one cup of tea. The Internet cost 2.5 euros but the signal was very poor from the second floor. Also, the receiption spoke little English and the staff who served breakfast was nice, but spoke no English. The breakfast was not buffet and the ham and cheese we were given weren't enough for two people.
Very good and worth the price! I will stay there again if I go there in the future!
The welcome was very poor, and parking was a problem. The room was dull, and the bathroom unpleasant (totally plastic). The hotel doesn't accept credit cards, and this was inconvenient. When leaving, the attitude was unpleasant.
Traditional house but internal is newly finished. Environmental friendly setting: solar panels, wool carpet, down blanket. Beautiful garden. Extra charge for internet. 5 euro.
The food was typically German; loved it. Also, bed were comfortable and the view as amazing!
Good value for money, excellent breakfast and very friendly hosts. Extremely small towels provided !
the breakfast was good
The staff was great and it was a good value for the money and a nice location for visiting the Castles. Low ceilings in the 5 person suite, but this was expected.
This is typically backpackers hostel. Not really for family with young children. Although there is no particular big problem, but this is only good for back packers/youngsters. breakfast is okay for what you pay. There is no privacy. Whole night you can hear noise from outside and also from other rooms. In bathroom, fittings are open
Near the city area. The heater was not working and it was snow out there :((
clean room and breakfast. none
Location is great. 10 min walk from train station. Room was clean and comfortable.
Close to the center of town. Decent breakfast. good mattresses. Not all guests observed the quiet hours.
The price was good. There were five of us and we could stay together. We liked getting our breakfast delivered to our room. Overall a good experience. The hotel was difficult to find. I asked a taxi driver where it was located. The plumbing needed some work in our room.
The staf/owner very helpful, no charge although we are late to change the date no carpet, so a little bit cool during autumn or winter.
Very affordable and friendly staff. When we could not be there for breakfast because of an early train the credited back the amount that breakfast would have cost. That was amazing to me. Very clean and bathroom was a good size. Wifi was also good for FaceTime:) A little difficult to find where to checkin, but it was easily solved.
