all round comfort etc
the location Has had a redesign and is more goth than scotish baronial. Though it is unclear where all the crocodile skins fit in!!
my whole stay was good
We found the food very good, the staff most courteous and helpful, and the accomodation very comfortable. Not very much!
The excellent (knowledgeable) staff in the Georgian restaurant.
Tranquil setting, friendliness of staff, comfort and facilities of hotel
Beautiful area, rooms were very nice, and food was excellent I felt that anything you wanted to do cost even more extra money; despite having paid a lot for a room nothing was included. There didn't appear to be enough front of house staff to deal with a full hotel.
Location. luxurious. Wonderful swimming pool complex. Staff couldn't be more attentive.
high quality of service our sleep disturbed by very creaky floors, i think it was the room above (we were in room 15)
The rooms were fantastic. No
Location suited us as we were heading for Inner Hebrides next day Reasonably set back from the road, room was quiet Good choice of food in the evening and good breakfast Our room booking was lost, so we turned up and just as well they had a space, although we had to take a twin room.
Qiet, peaceful, homely and comfortable Disappointed that I did not have a front facing view.
clean and tidy plus good food
Bar and good breakfast Hard bed!! No comfortable chair in room
The Argyll Hotel was a lovely hotel and my Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely room with a fantastic view. The food was lovely and the staff very helpful. We will definately be returning.
The staff were very nice. The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of room to put your bits and pieces, there were also some hooks which is always handy. The shower was lovely! The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice. and the hotel is OK although very tired. We had a room with 3 single beds and all were far too soft, but apart from that the room was adequate. I felt the room was overpriced, but I guess you pay for the location
Comfortable, clean, excellent view.
the staff were very friendly, left you to get on and do your own thing but were always there if you needed anything
Ideal location in front of Loch Fyne. Romantic hotel and village. Friendly personnel. Nice breakfast buffet
Location of hotel was excellent, car parking very convienient and with easy reach of Oban which was our destination the next day.
Friendly staff. Good food Would have liked the offer of help with bags as there is no lift.
The staff are welcoming very helpful and hard working. This is hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and is let down by the Oxford Group. Its stunning location and views should warrant more investment by them.
Helpfulness of the staff and also the beautiful scenery...a great spot for mountain goats like us. super alpine walks and climbs.
The location is perfect!! We had no hot water for more than half our stay and only a half hearted apology from staff
Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Amazing views over the Loch.
We liked visiting Inverary and surrounding towns and villages as the Arrochar hotel is perfectly situated for this.
Overall, the stay was pleasant, reasonable value and the food very good in nice surroundings. Staff polite and friendly. Nice view over loch, which I had requested. Very noisy above the function room when evening entertainment on, til around 2230. Mattress quite lumpy. Some squeaky floorboards. In need of refurb really, quite a tired feel though not unpleasant.
friendly staff and perfect location to explore the sights in the loch long and loch lomond area.great intro to the highlands.
Staff were very friendly. Though we only had breakfast there, it was very good. The room could have been cleaner, somewhat dusty.
very helpful staff
Hotel very much in need of modernisation. Rooms were of a poor standard, member of staff in reception on arrival was very unhelpful and unpleasant.
Beautiful setting - swimming pool ,sauna and steam room great and only a short walk into main town. Good location with stunning vistas Major building work at the moment - not mentioned when booking - because of this parking was headache
The bedrooms were very good, the spa facilities are ideal for a weekend brake. Lack of staff at bar area, bar prices.
As usual the hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable. We were in the old part of the house and the rooms have been re-furbished to a high standard and were very comfortable. Food was excellent and well served. Entertainment on the Saturday night has been changed and was not to our liking. Overall the friendly, homely atmosphere was not as evident as on previous visits.
The hotel was quiet outside the bedrooms which meant no interupted sleep The Bistro and the communication in the restuarant. The amount of staff to cover a busy hotel was not enough.Long wait times
Food was excellent, staff friendly & helpful. Swimming pool & spa bath great. Room was clean & comfortable. Enjoyable visit, this was our second time.
Friendly staff, clean room. Beautiful location looking out onto Loch. Good breakfast.
Very Clean, food very good
The changing rooms for the swimming pool
Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff The scrambled egg at breakfast was hard block and not scrambled.
Staff once notified of twin room mix-up were quick to resolve the issue- hotel was very good and would recommend/stay there again in future Original booking in process took aroung 15 minutes as person could not find the booking no lift service offered for my elderly mother - room on 2nd flr and no offer of assistance with bags
Relaxation a nice meal in the evening after exploring the Clyde coast then a nice comfy bed and a loveley breakfast and the staff were all wonderful. One of the few hotels where there was nothing to complain about
nice and central the noise coming from adjacent room when people walkeing, floor creaked and could hear everything.
relaxing atmosfere a bit far out of town
Location and cleanliness. Comfortable beds too. Good for a business or a night stay and I recommend it in case the premier inn at the same location is fully booked. Reception staff not well trained, some have strong local accent without trying (or seem trying) to be understood and lack of basic hospitality politeness (i.e. smile, say thanks, please, typical hotel stuff). Food variety is limited and existing recipes although basic seem to take ages to prepare. For some reason, I ordered food at 21:10 and I was told that kitchen is not taking any more orders even though the hotel's schedule was saying dinner is served untill 22:00. I was advised to get take away and while I was checking the leaflets other customers went to order and then they decided to open he kitchen back. Strange...
near to the train station which was good, breakfast is resonable and welcome message from TV was quite welcoming. the heater was not working properly and it was very cold.Besides,we were given a twin room though we booked for doubled room.the worst was it was smoking room with smell of smoke although i booked a smoking room and it was annoying.
clean; quiet; helpful staff and nice breakfast- all good value! no
rooms comfortable, heating very good. very accessible for disabled guests. would have preferred 2 have a bath inour room, also more tea and coffee in rooms would be great, we went to shop and bought our own.
We enjoyed our two day stay in hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean excellent shower.Breakfast was continental plenty to eat self service.Good base to sight see ,plenty to do .We recommend this hotel and will be back later in the year.Good value for money
Clean, quiet, good pillows, not too hot during the night & staff
freindliness of the staff
Easy access; good parking; speedy service
comfortable for business man nothing
