Instantly felt under dressed when we walked in from train station. Very lovely room, not much of a view but we didn't hear or feel a single train.

Pros (+) Lovely period building, great location travelled by train and used station entrance. The standard room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff could not have been nicer.

Cons (-) The two single rooms we booked were very small with no air conditioning. The one upholstered chair was thread-bare. With the window open for fresh air the traffic noise was unbearable. The hotel has a very rigid no refund policy so be very careful when paying up front. We would not stay at the Grand Central again nor would we recommend it to our friends.
