10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent here whole 4-day holiday and the stay exceeded our expectations: 1) Great location, only 10 minute drive from Bantry. Ideal as starting point of hikes - the hiking trail is just around the corner, and the famous Irish western peninsulas are all within reach for a one-day trip. 2) The house is cozy and quiet with a beautiful garden 3) Breakfast was rich and tasty, especially home-made pancakes earned a lot of points from our kids :) And last but not least, the hosts - Tracy and Kevin - were simply wonderful, caring and helpful. And I must thank them again for staying up late because of us on the day of our arrival.
Cons: The room was a bit small for 2 adults and 2 kids, but for us this was not a problem, as we were out whole day hiking anyway... A fridge with soft drinks and beer would be very much appreciated :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room...great location and hearty breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The scenery in the area is absolute heaven, it’s so quiet and peaceful and extremely relaxing . We stayed in the main house , the kitchen was spotless and has everything you need if you want to prepare food , the bathrooms were spotless and the communal sitting room was perfect and spotless and had sky tv with kids channels which was great to keep them occupied when they finished breakfast while we ate .
Cons: There was only 2 issues, and that was room number 5 which is a family room (occupancy of 6) it’s right next door to the shower room and the fan was so loud when people used the room also we were woken so early with people using the showers they were just so loud in the room. The beds were not the most comfortable however I realize it’s hard to please everyone , I personally found them too hard and my back wasn’t great when I woke . I’m going to point out that I didn’t complain about these issues and maybe they could have been resolved if I’d said something. I would definitely return but I’d stay in a different room away from shower room . The kids loved this place and didn’t want to leave but it’s import to note when your going with the kids that everything is 40-90 minutes drive away . We were exhausted with all the driving . But had a great few days .. would like to say we found the owners friendly and informative and had no problems at all
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great hosts
Cons: a bit too far from village

Pros: Nice staff, nice place to stay surrounded with amazing scenery. Not much buildings around and people. Just in the middle of mountains. That's what I like.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great reception Excellent breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful and quiet, with views into the mountains from the front of the house. The name of the place is not a misnomer. The owners have also provided maps of the local area and books so if you want an extended stay, you will have plenty of reading material and ideas on where you can explore. There is also the personal touch of staying with locals who know the area and the breakfast was amazing - some of the best porridge ever, and as vegans/vegetarians we required alternatives, which were made available easily.
Cons: We didn't find anything unsatisfactory, all was great
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were very hospitable and helpful when we needed tips about the area...where best to go, eat, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique location and owner very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Food excellent. My big problem was, I needed someplace near Sneem, which is what you advertise as being, and it's a good 45mins. drive from Sneem. I wouldn't consider that to be near Sneem. It was a shame because I had some American friends over and they were staying near Sneem which is why I needed to be near there as I had to pick them up every morning and then after driving all day I had the best part of an hours drive after I left them back. It was a pity as the family in "Mountain View" are the nicest people you could hope to meet.

Cons: We couldn't use our adapter for Ireland.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was superb - continental plus full Irish - lovely brown soda bread and jams, good quality bacon etc - all wonderful - served by helpful staff.
7.5 Good
Cons: More staff needed to help out with catering. Service slow. Staff in this area over worked.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms 116 and 115 were very hot, even on a cool day, and there was no air con or even fans provided (I asked). The window opened out onto a flat roof space (security) and the kitchen vent pipe (greasy, hot smell). Room 116 was cramped for two people. Old fashioned style. The shower room was cramped too, towels etc being literally in front of the toilet (hygiene). Breakfast on the first day was fine. On the second day, our party of three people found four different 'foreign bodies' in our food and drink (a bit of a sponge in an juice glass, paper in a coffee cup, bread in the fruit and a hair in the cooked breakfast). By this point we were very happy to leave. This hotel does not give enough care or investment into the guest experience. I regret having stayed here. It negatively affected our holiday.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: location was very central and the accommodation was excellent. Breakfast was good. We woild definitely stay again.
Cons: i would have liked to have had a fan available in the room as it got hot .over night
8.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, historic building. Lovely views across the bay. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous with a complete vegetarian menu not just one veggie option.
Cons: Room was very small (not a budget room so i assume there are even smaller), and while i knew i didnt have a bay view i didn't expect to be looking out on broken windows and bins. Breakfast a bit underwhelming.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast .Location of breakfast room.View of Bay.
Cons: Number of stairs and steps to reach room from reception area.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Quality of food. Service. Cleanliness.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the food great value for money.
6.3 Good
Pros: View was lovely from our room and staff were friendly.
Cons: Couldn’t check in at 3pm as the room wasn’t ready. We were offered complimentary coffees but never received them. We were on the 4th floor but could hear music through to the early hours of the morning. The room was very warm so we had to leave the windows open and heard a lot of noise. The pillows on the beds were very uncomfortable. Overall it was very difficult to sleep. For €170 a night we had been expecting more.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfy 1 night stay with my wife and our nearly 1 year old daughter,. very comfy bed and nice shower. top notch breakfast in the morning. we also had a lovely 3 course lunch there and it was very tasty and good value for money.
Cons: only drawback with the room was the tv had only 4 random channels that we had no interest in. my father in law had another room and the tv worked fine there so it looked to be something random to do with our room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were most helpful. Being vegan, breakfast was limited unfortunately. Great breakfast for non vegans I am sure.
Cons: More vegan options would be wonderful. Plant protein sources included would be appreciated eg lentils, chick peas, kidney beans etc

8.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the comfy bed and had a good night sleep and location nice and quiet.
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities should be in the room.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: This property is a disgrace. It is dirty and unhygienic and not what we expected from the description given on booking.com website. The towels were insufficient and dirty. There was no remote for the “satellite tv” and the TV set wasn’t working. Half of the shower door was missing. The coffee/tea facilities are located just inside the hall door way and for use by all occupants and the area was dirty and the fridge was dirty. The only thing that was clean was the disposable cups. The bed was lumpy. There was no wardrobe in the room only hooks on the wall and hangers. We would not recommend this place to anyone.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly staff. Great pub company.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and obliging, the food was fresh and plentiful, it is right in the centre of the village, great place to stay.
Cons: Extra pillows would be good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: For a budget B&B this was really quite comfortable. Surprisingly it was very quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was large and filling and very tasty.
Cons: The parking was extremely tight, but I understand that parking is at a premium with that many guests.
4.5 Okay
