Omg what an amazing hotel! Was a bit of a nightmare to find as the Greek roadsigns aren't always the best, and it is very high up in the mountain, so you need a really good map. The Hotel had put their own signs up near the hotel which were very helpful. The hotel is of a top quality finish, and George & Gina were not there when we arrived, but we were made to feel more than welcome by their Aunty Mary who was visiting from Canada. Food was Superb, (Mostly homemade by George) Sausage, Smoked ham, Cheese, Bread etc. and when Gina arrived she made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was yummy with a superb omelette and I even took an early morning in their natural pool!! The only thing that I missed in this hotel was a fridge.
A grate place to fell yourself far from noisy overcrowded cities. Beautiful nature. Good place as a base point to drive over the south of Peloponnese and a good place to spend here time with a pleasant company. GPS-point is now correct on Booking :-)
If you like mountains this hotel is in the perfect location. The husband and wife running the hotel were extremely friendly, helpful and considerate. They took real pride in providing great service. The home cooking was wonderful. We didn't want to leave!
Excellent hosts, excellent food and excellent location.
Hotel Faris was easily our best stay of all places during our 3 week vacation. Although the trek up the mountain to the hotel was intimidating at first, once we arrived it was all worth it. The hotel is perched on the top of a mountain, with indescribable scenery, cool mountain air, and absolutely fantastic food. The owners, Gina and George, were absolutely amazing during our stay andmade us feel rigth at home. If travelling to the area, you MUST stay at Hotel Faris.
The hotel is an attractive building of a simple style appropriate to its surroundings. The rooms are spacious and comfy with views of the lovely surroundings, and I think they all have a balcony. When we were there (early May) to a wonderful scent of orange blossom pervaded everywhere. It was very peaceful. Service was efficient, friendly and unobtrusive. Brealfast was good (except for the coffee which was Nescafe - this is true of much more expensive and luxurious hotels throughout Greece). Mistra is a small and pretty village near the wonderful site of Byzantine Mystras - the hotel fits in perfectly.
Its perfect location. We were able to sit on our balcony & look up to Mystras & below into the village. Just magic.
the staff and location
Location is excellant for seeing Mistras. Good air conditioning.
The swimming pool! The breakfast wasn't so great, and the bar with the food is so high that children can't reach it...
The location was excellent. Our accommodation with the double balconey was comfortable although the Refridgerater was in an awkward place
The location was very good, the staff friendly, and they had a good included breakfast
We were immediately impressed with the professional way were were greeted upon arrival. We were given a wonderful room with great view. The bed and comforter were extremely comfortable. The staff very amiable and the breakfast quite well done and substantial. If anything in this category could be said, it would be that WIFI was not available in the room, only in the lobby.
The room was big with nice hard beds. It has also a nice swimmingpool with grass recreation field it's a bit outdated
The villas offer the height of luxury, in all respects. Soft, comfortable furniture, working fireplace, magnificent vistas, delicious breakfasts added up to a perfect holiday. The staff is incredibly attentive and sweet. Somewhere during the night, a fuse got blown, so we woke up without hot water, but the staff dealt with it quickly and efficiently. Getting there was an adventure in itself! Don't even think about it if you don't have a car. The serpentine road leading up to the site was steep and narrow, but the climb added to the overall experience, which was wonderful.
Very kindly staff, very nice and clean room, very comfortable bed, very delicious breakfast. No.
Staff was very accommodating to our needs and level of satisfaction.
Location, quiet, romance, breakfast, service, courtyard, cats, view, walking distance to town, friendly staff, beauty
Beautiful tasteful decor in elegant house and delightful helpful staff. Terribel lumpy old pillows not up to the standard of everything else!
Very helpful staff, tasteful rooms, with all amenities. A perfect stop for visit to ancient Mystras
Home made breakfast, friendly service Water pipes were very noisy and we were awoken by our neighbours having a loud conversation outside our door.
Very welcoming staff, beautiful room, peaceful setting, nice courtyard for drinks and breakfast. No lift for taking luggage upstairs and no porter to see to this.(Although the young receptionist helped with my luggage,as I was recovering from an operation on my hands, this was a definite minus for me at the beginning of my stay. There seemed to be a general lack of staff at the hotel as we only ever saw one person on duty at a time.
The room was beautiful and very well appointed. Big bathroom. Great breakfast with most items made on premise. Good location in Mystras with a short walk to the town square and several tavernas
Excellent staff, homemade snacks and breakfast items. The courtyard is lovely. Not the hotel's fault, but just want to mention that the map currently on the booking.com website and the GPS coordinates given on the booking confirmation are incorrect by a few miles. The correct coordinates are N37.06728 E022.37564. This is about 200 meters from the central square in Mystra.
Fantastic hotel well worth every penny. Wonderful staff
Easy access from the Ferry port, good size room, great view
The rooms were clean and well air-conditioned. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was served with a smile...loved the fresh peaches!
Staff rather helpful and friendly. Room was really clean and cosy and bathroom really perfect. Nice view from the balcony. We were very glad to use internet in our room. Brekfast was very poor. The nearest beach is located 2 km away.
It's location is great, although old, it is very clean. We stayed there as a transit to catch a boat to Kythera. It's lift needs an upgrade.
The location was perfect forthe activites that I did The night desk was not helpful
View and location were good No wireless or other internet access in room and staff was unfamiliar how to get yjeir lobby wireless working
Very clean and functional hotel.Good bedding, thick towels and a good shower for a Greek hotel in this category. Good value for the money.Excellent hotel location and water views. Although the hotel has air conditioned rooms, these are not invidually controlled. Small TV screens.
The proximity to the port and the convenience of walking distance to local restaurants Total lack of parking - no parking facilities and the hotel is on main road out of town.
good seaview, friendly staff. breakfast a let down.
situated in the centre of town, reasonable price foul smell in bathroom and poor breakfast
The staff and the service, both excellent. The bathroom lighting was not very good so it was a little dark and the shower was erratic - one minute good water flow, the next very little.
I was there for job, but the hotel and the landscape made me feel like on holidays. Really nice.
Really good value for money, excellent location, the balconies have an amazing view to the city of githeio, friendly and helpful staff the breakfast was not so rich
Excellent value for money. Spacious, well-maintained accomodation.Much better than many new and more expensive hotels in which I have stayed. No.
the staff were very kind and the breakfast were very well prepared. The room was big and close to the sea. The parking place available. It was very hard to find because there was no indication from the main street.
Clean spacious room, nice view from the enormous terrace, friendly staff. The wifi signal is very weak on the second floor, practically unusable.
Great location, almost on beach front. Good economical base for exploring the Mani Peninsular and Areopoli. Rooms big, loads of space. Our room had a big balcony, perfect for alfresco dinning. Breakfast (although not really "English") was excellent. Boiled eggs, muesli, yoghurt, huge basket of toast, , jam, honey, fruit, cheese, coffee, hot choc & cake! Great value for the price - we didn't need lunch! No lift, so not really suitable for elderly, as far as lugging suitcases up the stairs goes. Needs a new remote for TV, but that's all we can think of
