My girlfriend and I chose Apricot Gardens for it's close location to Grabouw, where I was needed for the absa Cape Epic, so essentially a business weekend. However leaving after 2 nights, I can only call it a weekend break! From the rooms, to the view, to the wine, to the breakfasts, to Alex and Marianne (whom honestly make your stay), it was a romantic weekend break second to none. I will definitely be staying at Apricot Gardens again! And lastly I'm a young, 23 year old professional, making Apricot Gardens not merely for the sophisticated and elderly, it's everyone's cup of tea, or many glasses wine! Hotel...NO...time frame... It needed to be a longer weekend! Lol
The room decor was crisp and modern. The hot and cold shower taps need to be marked.
This was an excellent hotel at an excellent rate. It was very convenient for both touring the wineland areas and for getting to the airport. It was also within easy range of three of South Africa's top rated restaurants. The decor and facilities were stylish and the breakfast was very inventive I would recommend to anyone as it had a taste of the countryside even though it was close to the city.
