Pros: Hosts were super attentive and accommodating. Silvio and Tina made us feel like family. The B&B was immaculately clean and perfect down to the smallest details. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Pros: The owners were so sweet, helpful and generous. We enjoyed our time here. Silvio made us dinner reservations and guided us to the restaurant so we wouldn't get lost. The breakfast was amazing. Tina and Silvio are the most lovely people. The room was very comfortable. I would recommend B&B Gasiso to anyone coming to the area. You will not find a nicer place to stay.

Pros: The hosts were really great, they really did their utter best to make you feel at home, they were very friendly. Around Monfalcone there are also many great things to see, the caves, Trieste, etc.

Pros: Laura our host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. Laura’s wonderful baking provided some delightful additions to the breakfast. Parking was on the street but was not available after9:30 am.

Pros: This is the best place you can stay in this town. The host - Laura, is the nicest host we've ever had. She stayed and waited for us to arrive even after the official check in time, then helped us locate the nearest working supermarket ( it was quite late) , then proceeded to help us find a good restaurant . She called 4-5 places until we found one open and made a reservation for us (because we don't speak Italian). The next day one of our family members had birthday and she surprised us with a birthday cake which she baked for us! Additionally the rooms were sparkling clean, the atmosphere is cosy, there is everything you'll ever need. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom too. Laura prepares the breakfast and it is really tasty and there is something for everybody- croissants, jam, ham and cheese, yoghurt, cakes. And the coffee is amazing. For the parking- there is plenty of parking space on the street next to the property, the parking is free of charge. They stay felt as if you're paying a visit to a claire friend. Highly recommend!

Pros: - a great location for exploring Collio and Goriška brda - a big and safe parking behind the gate - the room was very spacious, clean and comfortable - the young man who greeted us was very nice and helpful

Cons: - the reception doesn't work 24hrs/day and check-in is possible only after 4PM if you don't ask for an earlier time in advance.

Pros: Amazing room, new and comfortable. Everything clean. Quiet. Service working there was super helpful, had great recommendations for dinner and helped us further by making the reservations. We tried one excellent restaurant about 1.5 km away. You will need to drive to go to others, I think. All in all this is place is a great value.

Pros: We liked the personal and welcoming approach by Guiliana. She provided us with splendid breakfast including homemade pear cake and jams. The B&B has a strategic position very close from Grado (25 mins) and the highway (5 mins), allowing to easily discover the surroundings.

Cons: The beds were rather uncomfortable, too narrow and mattress too soft.

Pros: The property is set in a very peaceful setting, but only a few minutes drive from the restaurants. The kids loved the pool. Flavia could not have been more accommodating and her breakfast spread is amazing, particularly her homemade jams. We would definitely return if in the area

Pros: Flavia is a wonderful host. It was a pleasure to meet her and stayed at her beaut home. The house is very cozy, clean and comfortable. It has a big an nice swimming po for summer relaxing evenings. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices of home made jam, local cheese, bread, coffee, juice, yogurt and fresh fruits. Also Flavia provided a nice recommendation to enjoy dinner and received us later with two glasses of local white wine. Delicious! It was a perfect staying to have a nice rest before take a flight back home (Trieste airport is located less than 10 minutes by car).

Pros: As most other previous guests have said, Flavia the owner is amazing. Goes above and beyond to give you a warm happy welcome and stay. The room was lovely with coffee machine and kettle and supplies. Breakfast al fresco next to the pool. Huge variety of jams all made by Flavia accompanied with the usual continental breakfast items. We were allowed to keep our cases there whilst we spent the day in Trieste centrale. Flavia even drove us to the train station. This is a very clean, comfortable, country B & B only a few minutes from the airport. You won't be disappointed here, we highly recommend a visit here.

Cons: This is the only negative and it's objective but we both didn't like the pillows as they were uncomfortable and not supportive.

Pros: Top notch breakfast with home made marmalades and honey plus 3 freshly baked sweets. Warm welcome. Very large bathroom with great shower. For sure plan to have dinner here. They have seasonal menus and tasting menus. Perfect comfort food with many family recipes that I have not found at other eateries in this part of Italy/Slovenia. Great value and a very good selection of wines by the glass at extremely reasonable prices.

Pros: The location is really nice in a quiet place. The staff is really helpful and welcoming we enjoyed talking with them and they also suggest us some places to go visiting. We also enjoyed having dinner in the hotel restaurant and taste local food, everything well cooked and presented.

Pros: Great hospitality of the very kind hosts, who made we really enjoyed our stay with them, and made us feel welcome and at home. With great sense of detail the apartments, restaurant and garden are beautifully done and furnished. In the morning our breakfast table was prepared with the nicest local food, fruits and pastries. Big plus also: Borgo Vecchio is self supporting in electricity, and thus CO2 neutral because of the many solar panels.

Pros: This place is 'simply' fantastic! Provides whatever you can - or even can not - imagine: beautiful, elegant, authentic, relaxing, clean, big spaces, huge area for the kids outside even with playing facilities (swing, pool, baby kitchen etc., and even some very kind animals around). The best ever tasted pasta in the evening, and the best ever had breakfast in the morning! I would love to go back. And I do recommend this place a lot. We surely will make here our stop in the future, whenever we are on the way in the area.

Cons: Many mosquitos … :) But the place is prepared against them: electric facilities, baldachin over the bed, spray for the guests, and wonderful dinner inside to protect the guests from them … what more you need? Nothing, so don't hesitate, make your booking here until they have free place ;)

Cons: The aircondition dosent work, it was a joke, warmer inside than outside even after 6-7 hours. Like a sauna. Good to know in the summer!! We couldnt be inside the room more than necessary.

Pros: This is a great place to stay that is very close to the Trieste Airport. The B&B is built over a WWI bunker that serves as the breakfast room and our host provided us with a very interesting tour of the facility with its rich history from the war. There are many objects and photos from the war years that add interest to the stay. Our room was clean and quiet and there was a nice breakfast for us even though we had to leave very early to catch our flight. The home is also in easy walking distance to the local wine bar and the center of town with an excellent trattoria.

Cons: Our only complaint was that our bathroom was down the hallway from our room. However, the bath was reserved for our use only and bathrobes and slippers were provided for midnight walk down the hall.

Pros: The property is in a nice location and within a 15 minute walk to the hotel, not to far from a few shops and cafe/bar. The gentleman who owns the hotel was so welcoming when I turned up. Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at for a long time. The breakfast was simple but so perfect! I cannot fault this place. Would recommend to anyone.

Pros: Everything. This small B&B hotel is being run by a friendly and professional husband and wife team. Anybody who needs a good nights sleep will enjoy this comfortable and clean inn. The innkeeper drove us very early in the morning to our Terminal and refused payment for his services.

Pros: A lovingly restored farmhouse with large well maintained garden in a quiet setting,surrounded by a wall with plenty of secure parking.The owners,Ivana and Guliano are a very friendly,welcoming couple ,who were only too willing to offer assistance and recommenations. Our room ,and bathroom were both very spacious,and clean.An excellent Italian breakfast was served,including Ivanas'delicious home made bread. WiFi was very good.A great place to use as a base for exploring this very interesting corner of Friuli.

Pros: Very nice and quiet place to wait for your next day flight. Place is super clean and feels like you are staying at your relatives place. Owner will arrange breakfast to your leaving time and take you to the airport if you ask.

Cons: In my room were many bugs, which was slightly uncomfortable. I was staying in winter so that’s why they got inside to save themselves from freezing maybe. But still I had to catch them one by one and throw them from window which was not that was supposed to do.

Pros: Breakfast was great, no doubt. The owner is very, very nice, friendly and approachable. Rooms were spotless, immaculate.

Cons: We have had the bad luck of being there on a busy night, as the rooms are upstairs above a small restaurant, called "Osteria dentro e fora", which was full. The noise was unbearable, i have had to get downstairs and deal with the staff so they could do something about that. All in all, at about 0100 AM, the place got silent and we could rest. In the room we were staying, number 1, air con was missing, we did not have any fan, i guess is fair to say the temperature was over 30 degrees during the night. So, no sleep. I would suggest making sure there is a way to keep the environment cool, for after all it is no news the last few summers it got extremely hot in this part of Italy. We definitely appreciate the owner apologized for any discomfort one thousand times, and she was sincere. We understood the place has been open only a few month, so we guess some things will be improved in the future

Pros: The host was very nice and helpful. Inspire of not knowing our language she was taking effort in understanding us and helping us out.

Pros: Atmosphere in the evening especially. Wine and the pasta dish they cooked us.

Cons: The latter B of the name, the breakfast was nearly non-existent (also not ready at the agreed time). All we got was coffee, cake and biscuits. I realize that's a typical Italian home breakfast but when the place's name is "B&B" and when your guests are international, we're surely not the only ones who'd like a proper, healthy breakfast.

Pros: This B&B was one of the most pleasant experiences we had on our travels. We had an amazing room with a comfortable bed, a TV, a stereo, and even an indoor fireplace. The (personal) bathroom was huge and even contained a massage, jacuzzi-like bathtub for two. The hosts were very welcoming and although they do not speak a lot of English, communication worked perfectly. We had dinner at the osteria downstairs which is run by the owners of the B&B as well. The Spaghetti Vongole and fried fish and vegetables we had were authentically italian and really delicious - a great italian menu. For breakfast we were served homemade pies of our choice. All in all, we highly recommend the Casa Sofia for both its hospitality and its amazing food, especially in the integrated osteria.

Pros: The room was clean, but hot. There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom which we were looking forward, but we couldn’t use it. Disappointing.

Cons: Stuff didn’t speak English, it was hard to communicate. Breakfast was just one cake and as my boyfriend doesn’t like sweet breakfast, he didn’t get anything.
