superb location overlooking alhambra. city bus tour stops just across the road. bathroom not well equipped for 4 star hotel. when dining in hotel restaurant, unable to order wine by the glass. when dining in barbecue area, able to order wine by the glass but unable to order coffee.
Closenes to AlHambra NA
Proximity to Alhambra was brilliant!! Just a 5 minute walk away Rooms are slightly on the small side, but still very comfortable and good value for money
Good position, well run
staff very helpful and location next to alhambra bathrooms too small and showers too small
The proximity to the Alhambra was excellent. Quiet location. Very convenient for regular bus service to the city.
Location within walking distance to the Alhambra Palace was excellent
The location is superb, Alhambra is at the corner, the center is also in short distance (15 minutes walking or 5 minutes bus). The hotel is very well organized, staff is very well trained, everything is working smootly and effeciently. Considering the price category no complain can be made.
Opposite of Alhambra entrance. Diner was OK, but a bit like the Dutch "Van der Valk".
Comfortable hotel, offering good value for money, just across the road from the ticket office of the Alhambra.
The biew No swiming pool
restraunt could be better
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very accomodating. The views of Granda from the hotel are stunning and it is a 5 minute walk down the hillside from the Alhambra. A very special place.
Beautiful hotel and view of the city. Priced for location. Priced for location. Staff was not helpful or friendly.
Panoramic views of Granada, great breakfasts, friendly helpful staff, car parking available, moorish decor and proximity to Alhambra Palace Slightly tempermental plumbing and carper and decor a bit 'tired'
Excellent location. Good value for money. Everything was very good.
Friendly, Professional, Accommodating, Luxurious Nothing
Average, dont bother, our suffering should be enough! Nothing
the location,breakfast......"our staying one night only"
Fantastic to visit the Alhambra and then feel as though we were staying in a beautiful up to date version of it at the Alhambra Palace Hotel.
Comfort and proximity of Alhambra
We had an amazing view over Granada and La Sierra Nevada. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. I didn´t like the fact that when we tried to check in at 15.15 on the day of our stay, our room wasn´t ready which I was not very pleased about. The answer from the Receptionist who was very rude, was that if we didn´t want to wait for our double bed with the fantastic views we could have a room with two beds and without a view!
The location within the Alhambra is superb, and the hotel buildings are a very successful combination of the old with the new. The staff are both friendly and very professional.
The location was great, and so were the room and amenities. The Hotel staff seemed to be disinterested and not very customer centric.
One of the best experiences of our lives, a diamond in the rough of the Spanish hillside, unreal in its beauty and charming in its alignment of both the history and culture of the Spanish soul! Our stay was too brief!
The best things was a breakfast buffet, varieties of meals!
Oustanding location and building. Excellent food and service at Dinner. Staff could have been more helpful and proactive at lunch. The menu was very limited but Spanish guests were offered 'tapas' when our choice was limited to 2 sandwiches! Our suite was small, had no balcony and had no window in the lounge. Our bill for 2 nights was a little excessive at more than 1800 Euros.
The location of the hotel within the Alhambra was superb and the hotel's gardens & courtyards were wonderfully tranquil & relaxing.
The atmosphere and location - it was very special to be inside the Alhambra, especially late at night. Eye watering prices; services not up to International Hotel standard (no or limited room service, restauarant/cafe closing early).
the sense of living in one of the premier and most beautiful cultural and historical sites in the world
The location can't be beat. The room was comfortable. Staff at check out was surprisingly unprofessional.
This hotel is locatedin the heart of Alhambra and it has very beautiful view from the windows.
Well-located (heart of the Albaicin), historic and charming converted palacio. Lovely courtyards. Our room had a great view of the Alhambra. Decor was fairly upscale but authentic and not overdone. Staff was indifferent at best. Breakfast could be a haphazard affair, with tables unset and the buffet incompletely stocked well after stated breakfast hours. No in-room wireless; just in the main lobby.
good location and staff were helpful. Hotel was good quality and in good condition. Breakfast was also very good.
Really convenient for visiting Alhambra and shops. Good access to restaurants. Hotel was quiet, clean, nice building. The family room consisted of one double bed and one sofa bed in duplex upstairs for the kids which apparently was limit on comfort.
Friendly, helpful staff and excellent position
Location of the hotel was great and the staff was excellent. I would definitely stay there again. None
proximity to Alhambra / reasonable
The charm of the building was amazing as being a restauration from an old maur house dating from the invasion. Poor staff services overpriced extra night stay.
The position of the hotel was excellent, the decoration and ambience of the interior perfect and just what we expected.
Although the hotel was only a stones throw from the bustling Plaza Nueva, we could hardly hear a pin drop from our ground floor room. The hotel itself, is beautifully presented, clean, with an informal atmosphere. I've already recommended the place to my family! The staff were focused and efficient all of whom speak good English. The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of the Albaycin quarter, 50 metres from Plaza Nueva and only a few further metres walk to the nearest bus stop to catch the bus up to the Alhambra. I've mentally book-marked Placio Santa Innes for my return trip to Granada! We discovered that there was one small bar that only opened up after midnight directly around the corner from the hotel entrance that sounded like patrons were allowed to stand outside and talk loudly (like only the spanish do), which from our point of view was a bit annoying when lying in bed trying to sleep at the end of an exhausting day. This wasn't every night, but nonetheless.
Good location. Spacious rooms. Good choice of breakfast,as much tea and coffee as you would like. Felt the staff were not very interesting seemed to have a get together in the bar/for staff room just off the hall, every morning at 9am when the cleaners came in. Beware if requesting tickets for The Alhambra, emailed before we arrived but no tickets when we got there!!!!!!!
We had a beautiful room overlooking the central courtyard. It is such a lovely old building to stay in. The location is very central. All during our stay the central courtyard was covered with a sunshade even though it was late Autumn and it was difficult to tell what sort of day it was outside, it also made our room quite dark. The morning we left they pulled it back, it made such a difference. Also there were no lifts to our room, we had to carry our heavy international suitcases up (and down) 27 steps.
beautiful facility, very helpful staff, and a great location.
staff very pleasant, very good breakfast, central location, our room was too dark and airconditioning too noisy.
Liked everything. Good value and very good atmosphere.
It was wonderful. Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was great, hotel was adorable, location was fantastic. Just that smoking was allowed in the foyer. We had a wonderful room with gorgeous, big windows that I wanted to open up, but it seemed that often there were guests smoking there and it drifted into our room, which was kind-of a bummer.
The decor of the hotel It was very difficult to find. It was not explained to us on the website that the hotel is situated the old town where cars are not permitted. We got were driving around for about an hour with sat nav trying to find this place! Also, whilst the rooms were very nice and clean, the noise was terrible. Everything echo's through the courtyard.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the rooms are very comfortable. Our room was facing the inner couryard and it was hard to get light into the room without compromising our privacy. We requested a room with a view but we were told it would cost more. For the price we paid we should of had a room with a nice view. This hotel is a little overpriced.
the interesting building layout, helpful staff, excellent breakfast To have coffee/tea available at any time would have been welcome.
Very good location, staying in what we considered to be a piece of historical Spain and would have no hesitation in recommending to others. Poorly lit access to hotel at night. Need to say on website that you cannot park but this is not the hotels fault - just a matter of fact due to the nature of the area but best to be forewarned.
Great hotel! Loved the design/style of the courtyard, sitting room, and our room. The Ned was comfortable. Location was fantastic. Breakfast was great. Overall great value. The hotel advertised free wifi, but we couldn't get on the network.
Great value for money
The friendliness of the staff especially Jessica and the situation of the hotel opposite the Alhambra Nothing
Excellent location for the Alhambra!
Good location, good staff, they try. If you need air conditioning in southern Spain in the summer do not use this hotel. Although they tried to make it better, a room with no AC in July is just not acceptable. They say it goes out from time to time. When we were there it was out. P.S. If you don't smoke, you will not like this hotel, it reeks of cigarette smoke, uck!
The room was large and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast had a good range of food. The lights to illuminate the hotel were on all night( I think). The shutters kept out most of it but it is a waste of energy.
the room and the view to Sierra Nevada and Alhambra
Nice clean, comfortable hotel with helpful staff. It was very well placed being next to the entrance to the Alhambra rather than in the town but there is a bus stop right outside taking you into the centre. The bar serves snacks through the day and you can have main meals in the restaurant, we had the breakfast which was very nice and good value for money. Free internet access was a bonus. The hotel could do with a little refurbishment, nothing drastic it is just starting to show signs of age.
The location, just in front of the Alhambra. When we arrived the room was very cold, it took a couple of hours to get to a nice temperature.
Location was great!! Could be noisy. Also, the parking amenity listed is a public lot for the Alhambra.
For visiting the Alhambra the Guadalupe was in an excellent location. The beds and pillows were quite hard. The hotel was undergoing fairly extensive renovation, which hopefully will include the beds.
Peking at the Alhambra was simple and easy off the highway. My room overlooked the Alhambra , it was clean comfortable, quiet and 10 minutes to the town walking. Buses are available , all personnel courteous and helped my poor Spanish speaking ability with wonderful English ... Not a thing
Cleaning was not good as we found hair on the sheets! The furnitures are basic and make the atmosphere of the room very cold. Moreover, we had 2 beds instead of a matrimonial bed for 2 and no possibility to make coffee or tea in our room. Breakfast was cheap with nothing much to choose... For that kind of hotel, we expect more than what we had...
quiet, comfortable room with all the mod comms nothing
A wonderful apartment hotel with a very helpful staff. NO
Staff was great!! 2 bedroom suite was spacious and very clean. Location is Very good. Breakfast layout very good. A bit on the noisy side at night due to car traffic.
We were put into suite which was gigantic and bedroom design just lovely. Windows everywhere for fresh air. Bathroom quite small for overall size of suite. Little hard to find but loved staying here.
location near centre shopping cathedral restaurants.2 space in suite lack of completeness in kitchen no cups[produced on request]nocorkscrew[none produced on request!!]
everything was abolutely excellent - staff, room, breakfast and location
The staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant offering suggestions and help even without being asked. The beds were really comfortable and our apartment suite was superb! There was not enough hot water for the 4 of us, and the bath had not been cleaned properly so I had to clean it with the kitchen sponge.
design of the room is quite good. very NOISY. absolutely not for family.
The confort was excellent, the service quite good. Good location, near of bus stations, neigberhoods, and close to the center The toilet was really small, and the bathroom furniture poor, not for the category of the hotel. We had an issue with the toilet, and wasn't fixed at the moment. for the other things all in order.
Had an excellent massage in the spa Air conditioning in room too noisy
Quiet area but easily accessable to all the sights of Granada. Spa facilities available We would have liked drink making facilities iin the room - tea & coffee
large room clean breakfast very poor, quality and quantity both bad
The location is very good, quite close to the city center as well as alhambra. The location has very few parking places and I have considered the prices of the hotel parking a little too expensive.
Use of Spa which is free to residents in the a.m however this was not highlighted so guets should be informed. Staff ere freiendly and efficient and Spa was superb nothing
Clean and comfortable room with balcony. 10 minutes walk from town centre and Alhambra. Helpful staff. We were able to leave luggage until late evening after checking out at 12pm. We got no reply when we rang for room service. The outdoor pool was full of leaves and the spa treatments available were very expensive, €23 each for the indoor heated pool. That was disappointing since the facilities were the main reason we chose the hotel.
We have been twice before and wanted to return as we knew how good it was.
The rooms with balconies are very nice to sit out on in the summertime. The foyer of the hotel is well presented. Our room appeared as if it hadn't been painted in about 30 years. The rooms could do with updating, but the bed linen & beds were clean. Not all the facilities the hotel listed were in the room, for instance we had no mini bar, & there was only one plug socket in the room. The pool had some leaves and dust in it, however people still enjoyed it.
Convenient to leave the car outside. Rooms were large. The hotel was on the edge of town and so it was a 15 min walk to get into the centre of Granada. Not ideal for the Alhambra, Albaicin or city centre sites. Decor was a little tired and in need of a lick of paint in the rooms and corridor carpet was pretty stained and grim. The hotel was also quite noisy as you could hear chairs dragged across floors from rooms below, above and either side. Though full when we stayed in October, it was a souless place - no-one in any public rooms or bar.
I love the design of the room I stayed and the building itself!! Tiny thing I aware was the noise from the main street. as the rode was by stone and many cars pass with the noise.
excelent localization, very ease access to Alhambra, personal very efficient and available
The warm welcome and the personal service. We felt very special and would have liked to stay longer due to the uplifting atmosphere of the hotel.
staff attempted to be helpful in providing directions to local attractions and restaurants We were moved to a superior double room bcause of a cancedllation. The original basic double room was outrageously small and simple for the price.
The reception staff were very helpful. The bedroom was lovely with stunning views of Granada and the Alhambra. We will definately use this hotel again. Driving to the hotel is a nightmare. Its location in the old city makes access difficult Do stay here but get there by public transport or taxi.
A charming family run hotel where nothing was too much trouble to ensure that we were well looked after Nothing. It was perfect.
The hotel decoration , it is claen , the staff courteous The parking , and the parking procedure and price
Our room was beautifully designed to be in keeping with the hotel building and its surroundings, an oasis of tranquility. Nothing
The location, the historical building, the courtyard, the lounge
This hotel gave us a true taste of Granada and the Albayzin area. It is in an area that has been refurbished and modernized with an old world feel. We loved the Andalusian decor and ambiance of our room and the open air lobby. Fresh fruit, chocolates, and cider are provided in the cozy living room throughout the day. The small buses (31 and 32) run often and efficiently past the hotel. The owners are there to greet you (in English if necessary) and are very helpful. Breakfasts were fresh and bountiful...they even provided sandwiches for us the morning of check out when we had an early morning flight. We would definitely return to Granada just to stay at the Santa Isabel La Real. So glad we found it! Thank you! Everything was perfect!!
The staff were very helpful at all times. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated, giving a truly Andalucian feel. I would have like tea and coffe making facilities in the room.
Excellent location to places of interest. The staff were very helpful and freindly. The hotel was charming. N/A
Pleasant staff and great location overlooking the Alhambra. Excellent wifi. Some noise due to the traditional use of wood and the structure built around a central enclosed courtyard.
Fantastic service, beautiful room at the top with a lovely view of the Alhambra (only up to road from Mirador San Nicolas). Underground parking a bonus. Really lovely hotel - would definitely go back. Nothing, except if driving very difficult to get to! Don't try to drive unless you know the city well.
