Nice pool. Late check out.
No towels at pool (front desk offered them but the front desk was far from the pool!)
Location, big room,
Restaurant wasn't great (but my wife liked it)
We really liked being so close to the park. Everyone should try the free shuttle (catch it a sort walk from the hotel office) at least one of the days you are at the canyon. The car lines were really long when we were there and the bus went around all of them. The hotel was reasonable for being so close. Rooms were very clean.
There is a need for an elevator at each end of the building. We needed to juggle some things in the room to find enough power outlets to change devices. Rooms were smaller than expected, but still adequate for the two of us.
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the south rim areas. The small town of Tusayan, Arizona may not have much but it's well suited for what it is...a small town near the Grand Canyon. Don't expect 5 star but DO expect a good value for the money.
Town closes at 9 and the restaurant is way over priced
My husband and I were there to hike the Grand Canyon, so we just needed a simple, affordable hotel to crash at after a long day outdoors. The room was clean, great rate, it was within walking distance of a general store and a few restaurants, friendly staff, and it was a quick drive to the canyon. All the things we were looking for. We'd stay here again if we come back to hike.
We probably would have stayed somewhere else if we had planned on being at the hotel more. It was nice there, don't get me wrong. Just don't expect luxury. It's a pretty simple, straightforward hotel.
It's only 5 minutes away from the grand canyon national park. Really comfortable and clean.
Rooms were clean and the staff was very personable.Breakfast was o.k for the continental free portion..we were looking for a quiet place and this was good for us.
Although the breakfast was good it was very minimal and basic a few hot items could have been added to make it more complete.
The Grand Canyon. Everything about this hotel was bad, staff rudeness, customer service, restaurant food quality, bed quality, parking arrangements, honesty in room charges. Stay anywhere else other than this hotel.
The front desk staff was rude and arrogant along with the hotel manager. When I checked in the front dest staff told me that I paid sudstantially more for the room than a walk in customer would pay. When asked to correct this he simply said that was not possible because it was booked on-line in advance. Management also refused to corect this. They would not tell me what the actual rate was just that it was substantially less than what I was paying. After spending 45 minutes on the phone with bookings.com and the hotel management we did get confirmation of lower rates but the hotel tried to charge the higher rate at check-out. another 30 minutes to correct. The bed was also the very worst bed that I ever experienced in a hotel of any kind.
Is in a great location, about as close to the entrance to the south rim of the Grand Canyon as you can get. Amenities close by including restaurants etc.
The free breakfast was pretty poor - not a lot of variety and not enough tables for everyone. Tea and Coffee facilities in the rooms weren't great - coffee pot was quite dusty which put us off a bit.
Hot tub broken
It was very convenient to the Grand Canyon, had parking near elevator to room, nice restaurant and reasonably priced.
rooms were very clean! staff friendly and helpful. hotel located close to the entrance of the grand canyon.
the restaraunts however, close way too early - 9:30pm. so if you go to the grand canyon and come back in the evening, you do not have a great opportunity to eat. if you are looking for activity at this hotel, whether it be for family, bar, etc, you will not find it there. but i would stay there again because of the location. the price was a bit much, tho. overpriced.
Too expensiv for what you get for your moneyPoor service
Location very near to Canyon.
Noisy air condition, poor breakfast
yes i was billed for my stay twice once when i made the booking and then i found out they billed me again when i stayed not happy about that, in the process of trying to get a credit for my 1 night stay.
