Pros: Friendly staff, accommodated request for 1st floor room.
Cons: A/C didn't work very well, cooler outside than in the room come morning. Breakfast all carbs. Would not stay there again.
When you stay at Whitebird Summit Lodge in Grangeville, you'll be near the beach and steps from Salmon River. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Interesting facility out in the country.
Pros: Setting was pleasant--very homey and quiet; beautiful view of valley below on the drive to the lodge. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were fabulous!--something new and homemade every morning. Taxidermy display of big game animals was unique.
Cons: Public area was not very comfortable. More than one room of guests had to share the sitting room and television. Cost was quite high for the nature of the accommodations.
Pros: The host was wonderful, the breakfast was great, the facility was clean. Bathrooms in each room was a plus. My room had a sliding door, I was able to leave it open all night. It was an interesting lodge...
Cons: My friends room was lacking in ventilation, no windows, noisy fans. They were very uncomfortable the whole night.
Pros: The most amazing place we've ever stayed :~) The owner is a hunter and parts of the house are full of animals native to the US National parks, elk, moose, bears etc etc. he also has an Africa room with a giraffe and loads of other species. We found it fascinating but if you are against stuffed animals you won't like it. Our room was totally dedicated to Buffalo Bill Cody, right down to the bedspread. The bathroom is done as a western saloon with swing doors that you expect John Wayne to burst through. Breakfast was a total feast and owner kept us entertained with stories of his adventures. A really special place to stay with a deck overlooking the pond, horses, shady places to sit etc etc. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one day, but a week would be to short to enjoy the whole property :~)
Cons: That we only had time for one nights stay!
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and everything was perfect.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. It was a beautiful place to stay and experience.
Pros: Best breakfast of our 28 day tour of the west. The French Toast was the best I ever had. Loved the lilacs blooming next to our patio. It was fun watching the dogs swimming in the pond.
Cons: Great taxidermy but you should be into that type of thing.
Pros: Amazing place, very kind hosts. There are many cool animals on the territory, I was so happy to feed goats and sheeps, three pigs came to our terrace, yes, we had our own terrace)) Very delicious breakfast with fresh fruits, comfortable beds. Quite and cozy place!
Pros: The view from the outside deck.
Cons: Too far from town. We had a hard time sleeping, because there was a thick pad over the mattress that wouldn't stay put, and the sheets kept coming untucked. The shower floor was made up of cemented stones, and was very bumpy. Not very inviting at all. In the morning, as we were packing our car, I bumped into a fence made up of logs, apparently not nailed together. It collapsed, and I fell into it, injuring my hip.
Pros: The owner was easy to visit with and she was very helpful with the local flavor of events in the area.
Cons: I was surprised at several things .... I didn't have a window in the room, I slept in a bunk bed and I didn't have any bath towels for a shower. The room I initially booked to stay in was changed upon my arrival.
Pros: Amazing place... an adventure in itself! My Great Granddaughter got to help with the animal chores. She did not want to leave! Breakfast was a gourmet delight. Hosts were gracious and very interesting people. This is a retreat for a traveler, not a tourist. . Oh yes, the beds were incredibly comfy!
Cons: Shower was difficult to control. A light bulb was burn t out and there were no tissues in the tissue box. We had such a fun time there that these inconveniences did not matter and we did not bother the very busy hosts with them.
A stay at Down Towner Inn places you in the heart of Grangeville, steps from Salmon River and 4 minutes by foot from Bicentennial Historical Museum. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: New mattress. Best bed comfort I have had in years.
Cons: older but was ok free cold bottled water nice people.
Pros: Breakfast was at a local restuarant and a very good one.
Pros: It is an older complex and off the Main Street so it was quiet. The room was large with comfortable beds, new carpet, and instant hot water. The manager is very friendly and personable.
Cons: The fridge was tucked under the sink counter and was not easy to access. The linoleum floor needs a good cleansing around the edges and under the fridge.
Pros: Sheets were soft and new
Cons: Bad smell needs deep cleaned like the carpets and chairs, you could see day light coming from underneath the door all appliances very old and not made for s hotel
Cons: Run down property. Bed linen was colored design, so we could not say if it is was clean and fresh or not. Made us feel extreme uncomfortable. WiFi was not reliable. Interior was run down. Room was to expensive for that old motel. You can get much better deals in Lewiston.
Pros: Mike was very friendly and extremely helpful
Cons: It wasn't clean and there was a dead bug in the bed .
Pros: It's nothing fancy, but it is clean and well kept.
Pros: Owner old guy very nice.
Cons: Old facility. Dark no updates in thirty years.
Pros: Willing to accommodate late in the evening, clean and simple.
Cons: Thin walls so you could hear the neighbors, and people kept slamming doors on top of that. A bit pricey for what you get in my opinion. Just over $80 for an old worn down motel room seems a bit steep, but everything seemed clean and in good working order.
Cons: Did not stay here. The picture is very misleading. The hotel was in a bad part of town.
Pros: Very old and tired motel, but clean. Manager was talkitive.
Cons: see above.
