view of beach poor breakfast
The view of the sea was great. The beach being right in front allowed for morning swims and late night walks. The bathroom facilities were clean and modern, as well as the room had all comforts expected of a four star hotel. The breakfast was a buffet and quite alright, even if not up to the standards of the hotel's stars. The pool opened only at 9 am in the morning and we were not allowed to enjoy it early in the morning before we had to check out. Also, there is a D.J. conducting "games" around the pool, who plays music at insane levels. We found this sort of entertainment tacky, which in itself took away from the experience. It was good news that the rooms were soundproof, as the music went on well past midnight.
The room was clean, large and very well decorated. It had a great view of the water and harbor. No warm or hot water for a shower in the morning and breakfast buffet selection was very limited. Staff did not speak or understand English very well.
good location friendly staff easy to find
Near the beach (walk over the road and under the railroad about 100 m). Clean and adequate space for a family of 4.
The staff - a family - were super charming and friendly. They were helpful and thoughtful and provided the basis of a perfect hotel visit. The view from the bedroom was wonderful - a blue Mediterranean sea, slightly spoiled by a railway line in the foreground.
Good restaurant, helpful staff Television on constantly in the dining room. Dining room also lacked atmosphere
I have definately enjoyed the good breakfast and the pleasant personnel. I think they should change the design,it reminds me of the '80
In every way, I heartily recommend Hotel Zilema as the perfect place to stay if you are travelling in that region of Italy. The generosity and hospitality of the family and staff made us feel comfortable and welcome at all times. So many times they went out of their way to accommodate our needs: through translation (they speak excellent english), preparing meals for us (Leonardo is a fabulous chef!), helping with directions, making reservations, making sure we were comfortable in our rooms. What a terrific blend of professionalism and hospitality! This hotel was by far the best place we stayed on our 2 week holiday in southern Italy. By the way, the hotel is directly across the street from the ocean, so you can't beat the view! Not at all.
Very friendly personal an a very good breakfast
Very nice service, it felt like family hotel. Simple but good breakfast with home made ckaes:-) Rooms were clean and well equiped. All together (room equipment and service) was on the level of more expensive hotels.
The staff was very kind Very close to railway
This hotel offered extremely good value for money. It was basic but clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, and we had an amazing sea view. The food was simple but good. We would definitely stay there again.
staff were great, hotel was as expected, nice place. We visited off season so the pool was empty, which did not suit us as we were with two small children who are not good swimmers, when we asked could we check out early to move to a hotel with a full pool, the staff were very understanding and very helpful.
The swimming pool is quiet lovely. The AC quit in the middle of the night and we did not get any sleep. The bed was very hard. The food at the restraunt is of a low quality. The staff does not speek English very well but seem nice. Over all I think they are trying to conserve money for electricity to the extreem, to where they are not concern over their guest at all.
Easy parking. Which is hard to find in Italy. Ocean front. No furniture in room. Dirty beach.
The accessibility of the "mare" . We were not impressed with the breakfast buffet.
Staff is nice and thats about it. Our room would need some reparation (lights in the bathroom were broken, shower doors and soap tray as well, shade on a balcony is falling appart etc.). There was bunch of empty soap and shampoo flacons in the shower. There is no trash bin in the room (if you dont count little bin in the bathroom), internet barelly works and whole place need some help with room design, its looks terrible. This place is not worth the money.
Staff were very friendly, breakfast was excellent, rooms were clean and nice.
The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Room was simple but scrupulously clean. Location was good; a little walk to the beach but what a view! No blankets on the bed—but it seems Italians don't need blankets on their beds this time of year. But we did. Especially with airconditioning. When we mentioned it to the lady at the desk she came right up to find us something.
good location ,room is very nice, recepcionist was smile person unsmiled waitstaff
clean, and the staff was very frendily
The staff were excellent and helpful the location next to a busy road and railtrack
The staff were the most courteous we experienced in our 3 weeks in Italy. They were responsive, polite and couldn't do enough for us - highly recommended! We received a nice little gift when departing and a warm invitation to come back. Wonderful hotel for a short stay! We requested a non-smoking room however it was evident that a smoker had used the room previous to us. We identified our concern and the room was scent sprayed to disguise the smell however the bedding and pillows still smelled strongly of smoke making it difficult to sleep.
Srevice from staff were excellent
It was not a good feeling staying there.
We arrived late and hotel staff were very helpful No hot water in the room in the morning, staff tried to fix it, but we didnt have time to wait
