Small family welcome in a romantic BnB
My husband, 3-year-old and I spent last night in this Victorian-style bed and breakfast after visiting the animals at the safari park yesterday. Our upstairs "journey room" was huge -- could've accommodated 2 more people -- in addition to being extremely clean and comfortable....even the bath towels seemed extra soft and fluffy. We all slept great in VERY comfortable beds and enjoyed meeting Judy, the owner, who made us an AWESOME breakfast of bacon, cooked-to-order eggs and a Victorian waffle bar (delicious heart-shaped waffles, pecans, strawberries, whipped cream and sugar, all in authentic Victorian servingware), plus my son was served his milk in a lidded Minions cup! Homemade cookies and other snacks are available in the guest kitchen (peanuts, raisins, popcorn, apples), as well as cold drinks in the common-use fridge, not far from the pool table. We were allowed to bring our bikes that we took to Callaway Gardens today inside overnight. We forgot one of my son's toys and Judy called to tell us, and offered us Cokes when we swung back by to get it. She is an incredibly attentive hostess, who even wears Victorian era dress. It was much more affordable than anything available inside Callaway (at least with our last-minute reservation). There is no downside to choosing to be her guest!
Our TomTom took us past it, but we happened to notice the sign that could've been a little more prevalent. Everything else was great. Seriously. Our son was very welcome, but he's past the touching everything stage -- it would be a nightmare to have been there amidst all the fragile, pretty things with a handsy one year old.
