Pros: Quite, convenient to city, shuttle service, delicious breakfast.
Pros: We loved being able to walk to the DIA and being centrally located in the city. The historic character of the houses was fantastic.
Pros: The detail, original structure of homes...All the staff were great. The inn provides a shuttle around the immediate area
Cons: No elevator....ask for lower level room if you have trouble with stairs.
Pros: The Inn on Ferry Street is beautiful! Parking was easy and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Complementary cookies and water were a nice touch, as is the coffee that is available in the main house.
Cons: Our room got VERY hot during the night - when my husband got up to do something about it, the thermostat said 77! Also, there was no counter space or table to put our toiletries on in the restroom. These complaints are minimal compared to how much we enjoyed our stay, though!
Pros: Very nice room, friendly staff and good food for breakfast
Cons: Third floor room requiring stairs to get to for someone with bad knees was tough
Pros: Good location; very nice restoration; friendly staff
Located in the East Ferry Street Historic District of Midtown Detroit, The Inn on Ferry Street sets the standard for elegant guest quarters and dedicated service. Just steps from the state’s finest museums, acclaimed Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University, the Inn is a relaxing change of pace from the standard business hotel. Consisting of four restored Victorian homes, and two carriage houses the Inn abounds in sophisticated luxury. Whether you visit for a weekend, conduct a business meeting, or rent an entire house for a special occasion, The Inn on Ferry Street is aptly accommodating.
Pros: Inadvertently booked the Westin in downtown rather than the airport but glad I did. Imposing, stately building and very good spacious bedroom.
Cons: We had a three hour wait in line to check in before the Lions game. Once we checked in, our room was not ready and we received no discount on the room for it not being available for the entire reservation time frame. The staff was slow and very unaccommodating. Completely unacceptable.
Cons: room service
hospitality of staff
Pros: Very professional staff. The place is beautiful. Great location.
Cons: Parking was not included in the price.
Pros: Lovely accommodations in an iconic Detroit hotel. Great bar, great restaurants, friendly staff, beautiful rooms.
Cons: Spa does not match the quality of the hotel. The space is small, cramped, and dark; the equipment mismatched and broken. Friendly staff, but disappointing experience overall.
Pros: -great response time -professional/courteous customer service -comfortable bed -spacious -excellent food -pool/jacuzzi -shower was amazing
Cons: -$30/day valet -small tub -internet fee (although they removed it from my bill) -pricey food -snack bar was locked, never figured it out -limited tv channels
Pros: The dinner at The Roast and the friendliness of the staff, also the location.
Cons: Our view was blocked by a parking garage construction, but they did not charge us for our upgrade.
Pros: The overall décor of the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly!!!!
Cons: Luv everything
Pros: The room was comfortable and very attractive. The bathroom was quite nice.
Cons: No free internet unless you joined Starwoods and when I did I got an email confirmation in Arabic! Which freaked me out. The desk staff said they didn't know what to do and maybe it was some problem with my email. I pointed out it was only the one from Starwoods. The breakfast staff were very attentive, but the meal was overpriced for the quality.
Pros: Very clean, easy check in, nice room.
Cons: No breakfast and have to pay for Wi-fi
Pros: Our family enjoyed our stay on the 23rd floor of the hotel. The pool was warm and the beds were comfortable. Great room for the price!
Pros: A fabulous place to stay! Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to be treated like royalty, from the time you park your vehicle until you depart. A+ hotel all around!

Pros: The Aloft is a great hotel. Rooms are nice, although a bit dark and could use more lighting. Staff was extremely helpful and answered all questions. The bartenders at the WXYZ bar were great.
Cons: The hotel needs a restaurant or small place to eat. For being a wonderful downtown hotel, it is nice to get something to tag at the hotel.
Pros: Amazing location
Cons: No parking. Had to pay $30 for valet
Pros: Great location downtown. Historic building gives a special feel and decor celebrates its past.
Cons: Peeling paint and creepy, dimly lit hallways.

Pros: Very clean, beautiful rooms, with fully equipped kitchen. Great for a couple or a small family. Seems like a very safe area
Cons: The bed was not very comfortable for me, it felt uneven and sinking in the middle. Also the street to get to the hotel is very beat up and has too many potholes.

Cons: Received 3 hang up phone calls between 10 and 11 pm. Finally called the front desk, she insinuated it couldn't have happened. She said she would look into the call history and get back to me. I never received any info from her but the calls stopped.
Pros: The staff very customer friendly very helpful kept common areas clean.
Overall had a great experience at this hotel! Would definitely go back.
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the area the hotel was in was good, and the kitchen and all of the utensils that came in it were a bonus.
Cons: The hotel did not have an ice machine, HOWEVER there was an ice maker provided in the freezer so ice was available, just not as quick or as much ready compared to an ice machine. Really it's not a complaint more of an FYI.
Pros: Cleanliness, polite and helpfulness of the staff. Lots of amenities at this hotel.
Cons: No pool.
Great suites for an extended stay.
Pros: Clean, new appliances and furniture.
Cons: The asphalt carpet was just remade and it spewed gases.

Cons: I did not like how small the pool was or the breakfast eggs, sausage, potatoes & French toast. They were either rubbery or cold. It wasnt cooked fresh, it had been microwaved. Lastly extend pool hours, open it earlier and extend adults only at night.
Pros: The easy access to other locations
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful on all shifts. Great job!!
Pros: Service and how clean it is
Pros: Clean, upgraded rooms and public spaces. New sheets and decorations. Nice assortment of light breakfast items.
Cons: Still finishing off some fairly involved parking lot and entrance construction / remodeling. Not a big deal at all, and it's good to know they are investing to keep the property u to snuff.
Pros: Professional and easy to register
Cons: Noise from other rooms...snoring and walking on second floor...thin walls.
Pros: Service was great and its clean and great breakfast
It was okay never any towels in the swimming area
Pros: The tv
Cons: Didnt get the room I wanted and a hair in our breakfast room not reay
Very satisfied. Very friendly staff. Pool and weight room very nice. Close enough to Ford Field for us and a lot cheaper than the hotels closer. Would recommend to others.
Pros: Very clean. Easy to get to. Friendly staff. Free Breakfast. Fridge, microwave, etc.
Cons: Charged me for rollaway bed, which I didn't order. They said it was part of room deal, still don't agreee. Will remember to cancel nest time as to not pay.
I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Warren area of Michigan. The staff is helpful, and courteous, and the breakfast if good. Swimming pool and exercise rooms are very adequate. Love this place.
Pros: The staff is very friendly and accommodation. We usually stay at the Towneplace Suites when we go to Michigan, however, we stayed at a Holiday inn last time. never again, we came back to Towneplace Suites. Priceline also gave us the best price.

Pros: Great staff. Room was clean. View was excellent.
Cons: Room cards failed on numerous occasions. Kept nowhere near magnets or phones. First time right after check in was annoying but the third time after a concert with the elevators jam packed, not cool!
Pros: Close enough to walk to Tiger's games.
Cons: While approaching our room we could hear neighboring couple and son yelling and being loud. We turned right around and went back to front desk where we were quickly reassigned a quiet room overlooking downtown and Comerica Park.
Pros: When visiting any hotel, the staff make up 80% of the overall experience. The staff here at Greektown were my only friendly, but also incredibly accommodating and informative. If I had reasonable questions, they found me an answer as well as provided knowledge on getting around the city. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was a memorable and satisfying one. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Pros: My room was clean, smoke-free, quiet and on the 22nd floor. The elevators worked well, they had a key security. Couldn't go pass casino floor without key card. Free valet, in room service and breakfast pre-order. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay and will return!
Cons: Room service and free valet
Pros: The room was fairly clean with the exception of someones fake eyelashes on the floor which was pretty gross.
Cons: The fact that my sister and I had a marathon early in the morning. The loud neighbors were rude and inconsiderate. I called security on them once, however they kept being loud. My sister and I got at most, an hour of sleep.
Pros: The view we got was amazing. The staff was excellent and so accommodating. I mentioned it was my birthday and they were so nice to be sure that we had an amazing view.
Cons: Heard loud music all night. Not sure if it was from bars outside or from neighbors? Couldn't tell.
Cons: Got rid of lobby bar
Pros: It was a well deserved and most awesome romantic get away!!
Cons: Love it all. Only thing bad, which isnt really that bad, but found clothing from prior guests behind the chair.
Pros: Overall stay. Great staff, very luxurious, great layout of the hotel and rooms
Cons: Needs a spa/fitness center
Pros: I had a chance to enjoy the Casino and Hotel over the Christmas Holiday!! it was warm and enchanting!! Everyone was kind and professional, I can't wait to return. We Loved it !
Cons: We loved everything, especially the free upgrade on our room, and room service was awesome!!
Cons: Room at night had big spotlights we weren't told about upon check out. Had to close drapes and it was still lighting up the room. Just terrible
Pros: 1. Location
2. Free parking
Cons: 1. Side view of the Detroit river from my room (still okay though)

Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating

Mini bar offerings were costly
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. Great location and great building!
Pros: Room was massive.
Cons: Continental breakfast was cereal.
Pros: Always great
Pros: The room was huge and really nice with great proximity to the casino.
Cons: The hotel needs a complete renovation. The beds were so old and uncomfortable, we ended up checking out at 6:00 am after a sleepless night.
Pros: the uniqueness and spaciousness of the rooms.
Cons: Our air conditioning only blew in the living area not the bedroom. it was just a little warm for sleeping.
Cons: Needs a usb port in the room. Most rooms I've stayed at have them. Very useful for charging your phone

Pros: Location was ideal.
Cons: Shower did not work
Pros: 1. close to expressway2. clean rooms
Cons: 1. no free continental breakfast2. wifi not reliable
Pros: The hotel was fine. Just a lot of renovation going on. I would definitely stay here again.
Pros: The staff was excellent.
Cons: Breakfast hours. We are military and had to leave the hotel at 0630. Breakfast should be available for military at 0600.
Pros: Just like the room photos available online. Very clean, pleasant staff, comfortable bed and pillows.
Cons: A larger and brighter sign for entry off Van Dyke...rather hard to see at night with oncoming lights and snow on the ground.
nice indoor pool and jacuzzi, friendly staff, clean rooms, wifi, new tv's w/ cable... nice parking... nice restaurants in immediate area plus walmart was 24 hours..
Pros: my comfortable bed!
Cons: workout room was smaller than i thought it would be
Room amenities were minimal, no microwave, no refrigerator, etc. only bed, lights, desk, chair, and coffee pot inside room. No breakfast included. Tried charging us for room service twice, but when we explained the situation the staff was friendly and professional. When ordering dinner our first two options were not available due to lack of product so we finally decided on our third choice. Food from room service was just not good. It would of been a nice hotel if priced around xxx. But for a xxx room there are other places that offer much more.
Pros: Friendly staff, easy check-in and out
Cons: tried charging us twice for room service

Pros: Free parking, closeness to casino, beautiful view of downtown Detroit.
Cons: Room wasn't fully cleaned when arrived. Bed wasn't completely made, ice bucket had leftover ice/water in it, glasses were dirty, bath tub was dirty.
Pros: The room was a amazing. The bathroom was beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Overall it was a Pleasent stay.
Cons: You could hear the people coming and going through out the night. Slamming the doors. And there were little black flies, almost like fruit flies, flying around in the bathroom and bedroom.
Pros: The room was beautiful. We enjoyed the free appetizers in the evening and the breakfast in the morning.
Cons: I wish there would have been a small refrigerator for our own drinks and leftover food we had from dinner. Food had to sit out all night and spoiled.
Pros: comfortable bed, clean, friendly staff
Cons: noisy, horrible view from room directly looking at parking ramp
Pros: The rooms were nice..the casino, easy check in and out
Cons: Not much I didn't like
Pros: Great room great service
Cons: Poor buffet staff. So smoky on casino floor it got hard to breathe.
Pros: Very nive place fancy rooms and clean
Cons: Very expensive
MotorCity Casino Hotel offers an entertainment hotspot and base on the edge of downtown Detroit. For concerts, shows, and sporting events, guests can drive 5 minutes to Ford Field, Fox Theater, and Detroit Opera House. It's also 5 minutes by car to GM Renaissance Center, for dining and shopping.
Pros: The valet guys were super polite and awesome, asked me how my stay was and everything.
Cons: Never brought us toilet paper, towels, or pillows. Had to call them 3 times if I needed anything because they would just never show up. Front desk lady was so rude, didn't even take my complaints into consideration. I come to Detriot every weekend for work and last week I stayed at a $60 a night hotel that had WAY BETTER service than this $200 a night hotel! Don't waste your money! I wish I could get mine back after how these people treated us! OH I shouldn't forget that on our last day when we called the luggage cart up the lady made my 9 month pregnant friend roll it down and put the luggage in the car without helping her at all! I will NEVER come back here!
Pros: We were in town for a national conference just a few blocks away at the Cobo Center. Upon check-in the staff was super friendly and helpful. They even gave us a warm cookie. We were close to the stadiums, food places and downtown. The room was massive! The beds were in a seperate closed off area, so people could congregate in the sitting area if needed. Definitely worth the month compared to other hotels around the area.
Cons: Having to pay 30 dollars a night to park.
Cons: In-room service order wasn't quite accurate when delivered.
Pros: The double room suites are incredible! They're huge and feel very modern. This place and the staff are all very nice.
Cons: $15 to park next door at a lot that advertises $10 rates.
Pros: Comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
Cons: Shower tile could've used a bit more attention from housekeeping.
Pros: We were blown away by the customer service and room for the price. This is worlds beyond Greektown Casino Hotel. We will stay here again.
Cons: The valet was a little expensive at $27/day.
Cons: The bathroom setup.

Experience regional and local favorites in Motor City Kitchen restaurant and try a refreshing drink in the trendy Round Bar. Home to the only IACC-certified conference centers in downtown Detroit, our hotel provides an expert team and 21,000 sq. ft. of space for your next event.
Pros: The AC wasn't working throughtout the day, so it did get a bit hot. However, everything else was grand.
Pros: Good location with People Mover station on site and a lil bodega in same building open til 2am. Front desk staff was nice.
Cons: Our AC didn't work and others worked poorly. I had to go buy fans to sleep. I was told a couple times an engineer would come up. They never did or if they did didn't leave a note. At 730 am our room was 81 degrees, which was warmer than outside. I ordered a sandwich from room service and they refused to give me a side of the mayo they use on their BLT for my fries even though I was happy to pay for it. Then they forgot the permissible ranch lol. Such a joke. Thumbs down.
Pros: Staff was friendly, everything seemed clean.
Comfortable beds, window opened slightly for some fresh air.
Water pressure was excellent.
Cons: Valet was blocking the entire entrance with cars upon arrival so we had to circle the block searching for a parking garage that wasn't just monthly.
Saw a bed bug, hoping nothing else comes of that.
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and great location..like the people mk over access and the warm tunnel to the ren cen in the freezing cold
Cons: Parking price a little pricey
Pros: The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and like new. They have security for the elevators after a certain time. The recreational room is phenomenal with a full weight and cardio area, lots of rooftop balconies. Staff is very nice and attentive.
I would come here again even though they nickel and dime you for everything.
Being a hotel attached to the people mover is great for getting around downtown too. Saved a ton of money on cab fees!
Cons: Everything has an additional charge, no continental breakfast, which is fine but they also charge 14.95 for not a very great buffet.
Hotel service is great
They charge for valet and do not explain at check in they are putting a 100 dollar hold on your card, they say it falls off after making sure there are no incidentals or any additional charges. They failed to mention you're paying for valet which most hotels I have been to don't charge.
I feel as if I could've stayed at greektown or antheum, as usual not have so many extras to pay for.
Pros: I didn't get an opportunity to experience anything good.
Cons: Despite having two prepaid rooms, my reservation was not held, and we were sent to a local bed and breakfast, that was not in close proximity to my business, nor was it the same quality as the courtyard.

Pros: Super spacious bathroom that was well divided. Large well appointed room
Cons: Will stay there again!
Pros: i liked the staff a lot, and the casino aspect
Cons: no free breakfast? if i pay $200 a night for a room, i expect at least some fruit and cereal. but nothing other than coffee was provided.
Pros: I was there for a wedding and it was centrally located to everything. The door men and valet were extremely personableand very nice.
Cons: I would have given it 5 stars all around, however, the front desk check in staff did not inform us of the shuttle provided by the wedding until asked and they did not tell us the correct times so we missed the bride walking down the aisle.
Pros: service by staff and room size was big.
Cons: hotel was very smokey
Pros: This place is amazing. They have it going on! From the great staff to the great rooms and to the great entertainment!! We are definitely staying at the MGM from now on when we visit Detroit!!
Cons: Everything was AMAZING!!!
Pros: -Loved the pool and spa facility. the room was fantastic, loved the bathroom. access to restaurants and the casino were great as we did not have to go far to get drinks or food.
-Drinks were very inexpensive and of good quality. Our cocktail waitress, Autumn, who worked at the Axis lounge was very very kind and hard working. she checked on us many times so we could enjoy our time on the couches without having to get up to order drinks.
-we are a gay couple, and felt safe staying at the hotel. Although when I made phone calls I was called "Mr.Johnson" a number of times.
Cons: -there really needs to be a mini fridge or cooler that we can put leftover food and items in. we were traveling by car so a lot of our items would go to waste.
-security guards at living room entrance, there needs to be more consistency in them knowing what all of the guest room key cards look like. we were questioned about being guests because we had cards that said "TAP" on them, and the security guard had only seen ones that said "AXIS" on them. plus no other guard stopped us like that.
-having bathrobes in our room would have been a plus because we went to the spa so often but had to walk down in just bathing suits and wet towels.
Pros: Everything you could ask for.
Cons: Under 18 cannot use pool and must be escorted by security to dine.
Sold a double bed room, given a king with 1 roll away
Pros: The room is spacious. Along with great walk in showers. Great casino but seemed like dance club more than about shows or amenities. Wonderful employees very helpful and curtious. Valet is highly recommended. The slowness of elevators after a sporting event is a downer but small inconvenience.
Cons: Few things that I noticed could be better. Lots of waisted space. Areas of casino seamed like could've been better. Wish they had shuttle to the two stadiums near by comerica park and ford field. Shuttle to and from airport rather than taxi would've been a great addition to the hotel. Overall 5 star hotel. Do wish they had all night buffet because most sporting events get out after their restaurants 11pm closing time but things that could be small upgrades to their hotel
Pros: Great shower. Nice beds. Very friendly staff.
Located in Downtown Detroit, this luxury hotel is within a 15-minute walk of Fillmore Detroit and Fox Theatre. Joe Louis Arena and Ford Field are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Pros: Great location walking distance from many of the great venues in Detroit also only a couple blocks away from the people mover which quickly takes you anywhere in the city you wish to go.
Pros: We love everything about the hotel that's why we stay there as much as possible.
Cons: This is the second time that we booked a king room and were given a room with two queen beds. NOT HAPPY!!!!!
Pros: Super close to the stadium, theatre, opera house, plenty of bars and restaurants. Close to the casino and Greektown. Very comfortable beds, great staff and great wifi.
Cons: Heating system wasn't working well and the restaurant was short staffed. But after complaining, the manager was apologetic and tried to make it up to us.
Pros: The rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. The bar and breakfast areas were convenient and suprisingly good. Breakfast was great... hands down one of the best by hotel standards.
Pros: Staff & location
Pros: This spot becomes our first-choice hotel for downtown Detroit. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Internet is fast and reliable. Breakfast is fine, especially the made-to-order omelets with a wide variety of ingredients available.
Cons: Parking is in an open lot adjacent to entrance, but there seems to be good security.
Pros: Nice Rooms, Friendly Staff.
Cons: Parking NOT included. Cost isnt cheap.
Pros: The front desk staff were nothing but friendly and professional. They went out of their way to help with anything that they could.
Cons: The bar tender at The Grille could have been more pleasant and friendly. I was with a group of three and she seemed more concerned with some of the "regulars" and we were pretty much ignored.
Pros: I was thrilled with the room
Cons: I didn't like the fact that valet gave me such a hard time to park my car I had to show him my email that my room was paid for
Pros: We stay at the Hilton Garden Inn as much as possible when visiting downtown Detroit. It is a wonderful, safe, clean, great location hotel.
Pros: Bed was comfortable, Staff helpful and friendly, clean hotel nicely located a walk away from Comerica Park, Ford Field and other downtown areas.
Cons: Breakfast left much to be desired, toaster was broken, and had been for 2 days. Some of the food was decent, some was awful (don't have the cold, greasy, limp hash browns...)

Whether you enjoy casino gambling, the opera or sporting events, guests will have no problem filling their leisure time. Detroit attractions include Comerica Park, Ford Field, Little Caesar's Arena. Among the local Detroit businesses and corporate offices are Quicken Loans, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Meridian Health, Henry Ford Health Systems, Detroit Medical Center, United Auto Workers, Wayne State University and McNamara Federal Building. Guests of the Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Downtown hotel will enjoy one of our 198 rooms with complimentary WiFi, 24-hour business center, indoor pool, whirlpool, and onsite fitness center. The hotel offers 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting space. Valet parking is available for a fee of $25 per night per vehicle for hotel guests. Event parking is based on availability for an additional fee. We offer two onsite restaurants - the Garden Grille, featuring a full hot breakfast and the Chrome Grille, serving lunch and dinner with a full bar.
Pros: I loved the whole look of the hotel. The rooms were so cute and clean. The Detroit artwork was very cool. They provided slippers and a very comfy robe. Location was also great. I know they're working on opening the bar/restaurant, so that will be awesome. I also REALLY appreciated that their little snack shop didn't charge "hotel" prices for the food an drink--keep that up!
Cons: The shower set up is pretty awkward, hard to reach to turn on. Hotel wasn't very lively but I think because it's just recently been renovated, the word hasn't gotten out yet.
Pros: location was only 10 min walk to the Joe and the Cobo centre.
Cons: the room is dated.
Didn't come with any body wash, shampoo, and soap in the room, so bring your own.
Pros: The staff is wonderful!! If I could take them back to Chicago and get them jobs at the Luxury-5 star hotels--I would definitely "steal" them away!! They care about their guests and always have a kind word or smile. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable: be it extra hangers, towels, toilet paper, or asking about the closest restaurant. Bruce, Sara, Corey, Brian are the top notch employees other hotels like the Aloft, MGM, Westin would pay $15 to $18 per hour to keep. Everyone I spoke with knows they are the keys to this new renovation and hotel's success!!!
Cons: Corktown Inn has to do something about the DRY rooms! The windows do not open so NO fresh air ever gets inside the rooms. In the middle of the night, one can wake up with a headache and dry, bleeding nose. Perhaps humidifiers can be set in each room or available thru Front Desk. It is an old hotel so I'm not sure how they can counteract this problem for future guests.
Also, the carpets are sad. Pull up everything and replace with a simple, all weather grey, black, dark blue carpet because the stains are everywhere!! I feel more protected wearing flip flops instead of socks or bare feet. Yikes!
Renovations won't be completed until January? in time for the Auto Show we hope. Fix the washers/dryers in the laundry room, check/repair the elevators, and please bring back the free hot water (for tea) and coffee available throughout the day....
Pros: Proximity near down town
Cons: room was smelly
Pros: I've been utilizing this hotel for a few years now and I appreciate the renovations that are continuing, including the building itself, the staff, and the handling of reservations. Most of my experience has been positive, however about a year ago we had some issues (losing our reservation even though we had already paid, charging us for smoking when we did not smoke but was from previous guests, and not having a room that all 3 of us could stay in together although that is what we had reserved). Those problems have seemed to be addressed as this most recent visit was a positive one. I booked and paid for our room online and had no issue at check in. The staff was friendly and available, the parking was great and they even let my parents park there for the day while we went to the Tigers and Lions games (which saved them about $50 in parking). The walk to Ford Field and Comerica is not bad, however I prefer to walk a couple blocks to the bars that have the free shuttle. Overall, this hotel is a great value and perfect if u need a no-frills place to crash after a ballgame or concert.
Cons: The Corktown may not be the most clean place in town, but the location and price make it very appealing. Just as the sign says, it's "a fine hotel".
Pros: our Standard room smelled very smoky so we got an upgrade to a bigger room on a higher flor that was actually very clean and nice. The parking space is very safe and closed. It is close to downtown and the Stadiums. Staff is very friendly an helpful.
Cons: Furniture is a bit old and used. The room we first had on the first floor smelled Like someone just smoked in it...But asking we could move to another room.
Pros: The location is the prime attraction for Corktown Inn. At $65 to $80 per night, it needs a upgrade pronto! The carpet is old and molded. The walls in the hallway need painting (other than white or ivory which shows every hole, patch over, dirt, etc). The rooms are stuffy (one cannot open or crack the windows for air) and it is even more noticeable when someone is smoking or experimenting with marijuana down the hall? Perhaps an ozone machine should be used to clear out the rooms or check the heater for dust.
The friendly staff makes up for the look of the hotel, and they are always informative and pleasant.
Cons: As mentioned to the left.....
Pros: Clean and cheap with free parking. No extras but enjoyed my stay there for the night and slept well.
Cons: This place was nasty!
Pros: Located very close to Joe Louis Arena.
Cons: An older hotel so a bit run down. The neighborhood also didn't seem to be the best.
Pros: Dodgy motel in dodgy area frequented by ladies of the night, not for the inexperienced visitor to Detroit
Cons: Yes,Everything checked out after one night
Pros: Computer at reception for clients, wireless free. Motel in Detroit, do not expect big thing, dont go there with your family.
Cons: Located in a abandoned place of town, does´t look very safe. Just take care if decided to go there.

Enjoy our complimentary amenities, WIFI, business center and a well-appointed fitness center with an awesome view of the Ambassador Bridge. Our spacious rooms feature a 42 inch flat screen TV. Hair Dryer, work station, refrigerator, iron and highlights artwork from artists from Detroit. We simply do not believe in -run of the mill- here, this hotel is one-of-a-kind.
Pros: Liked the location and everything was great. Dinners were appreciated too, but the quality was very poor and when served at 5:30pm, the food was always cold.
Pros: This is a relatively new hotel. It was clean and the breakfast was all right.
Pros: Amazing staffs and cleanliness.
Pros: Warm cookies upon check in, friendly staff, clean, comfy bed and pillows, soft towels, hot water with good pressure, good breakfast
Cons: Elevator was broken, very cheap toilet paper
Pros: Heather accommodated us in so many ways, great management team - worked with us and dealt with our requests, just went above and beyond even though some of our family were very demanding.
Pros: very clean, updated
Cons: rooms were a little small, but manageable.
Pros: The rate for this hotel was very reasonable. The rooms were clean and so was the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: The eggs at breakfast were not appealing in look.
Pros: Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating about our late night check in and allowed us a late check out.
Cons: Fitness room smelled very strongly of black mold. I couldn't use it because I couldn't breathe in there. Our hotel room smelled musty and the a/c unit barely worked.
Pros: Friendly, courteous font desk staff. Cleanliness of the exterior as well as the interior. A quiet room that was also clean & stocked with restroom supplies. The most important feature for me was having plenty of pillows to choose from & a comfortable bed.
Cons: I have no negative comment
Pros: Everything. Especially the staff!!! I found nothing to complain about in regard to this motel.
Cons: A minor dislike; although clustered with a few other motels, there really wasn't much around the area, except for restaurants. It was perhaps three miles away from the nearest freeway.
Pros: Very clean, breakfast great, affordable

Cons: Booked the rooms for a group gathering downtown. Several people came from out of state. The room was booked far in advance. We showed up, only to be told that they double booked the room and we were bumped. They had double booked so many people that day and displaced them to other downtown hotels that the nearest accommodation was more than a half hour away. Single handedly ruined a get together we had been anticipating for more than 6 months. Told us this with smiles and jokes like it wasn't a big deal. Oh, the rooms on the other side of the state were free though, so that totally makes up for it, right? (It didn't)
Pros: The hotel was clean in expected Marriott style. Great location. Rooms were a good size with nice amenities.
Cons: The staff was absolutely terrible. From the person who checked in my party inccorectly to the night manager at the front desk who treated us terribly. The check out process was an absolute mess, mainly due to the unprofessional empliyee the front desk. The service from the front desk staff will be the reason I never stay at this hotel again.
Pros: Views from rooms are amazing. Conveniently located.
Cons: Volt, the hotel restaurant, staff needs to be retrained. Service was terrible. Waitress only came once to table. A different waitress had to get our bill after we asked and she overcharged us. This really put a damper on the trip for us
Pros: The bed was comfortable but the bathroom was like that of a $100 per night hotel.
Cons: Valet service was very slow. Room service was slow. Food delivered to the hotel had to be picked up in the lobby. This is a nice hotel, but for the price paid I expected it to be much nicer. It certainly was not the getaway that we were expecting.
Pros: Nice View
Cons: No Wifi
Slow Check-in but it was a very busy weekend.
Loud outside room
Pros: With the concert and tigers game the hotel was booked solid. The staff was amazing! Great stay! They all did great job of managing so many guests in house.
Cons: Everything and Every staff member was great!
Pros: Location was great. Near several large venues.
Cons: Hotel ran out of pillows, roll-away beds and linens! (oversold!) Asked for sheets three times!! Spent an hour in line to check in & elevators were a nightmare. Not good for late night food options other than pizza delivery. A hotel this large should be equipped to handle its guests! Very disappointed!
Cons: Couldn't get checked in to the hotel until over five hours after their check in time.
Pros: Location from Ford Field was decent
Cons: Dirty room, no kid friendly restaurant, short on beds (wrong room) oversold, check in for two hours (long lines) slow valet, no room service available, asked 6 times until roll away beds were delivered since we only had 1 bed to 4 people.
Pros: The location of the Marriott in the Renaissance Center is great for seeing Downtown Detroit. It's near the river, which provides some awesome and beautiful views. I liked the tall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows as well.
Cons: I came with friends for Movement and the hotel was packed to the gills. There was also a volleyball tournament going on the same week, so the hotel was out of extra beds. Our room didn't even have a fridge, which was absolutely ludicrous. We had to buy a temporary cooler for our food and drink. Other than that, it was a pretty nice stay despite the hotel being low on supplies. But they should be prepared for such rushes if they know ahead of time how busy it will be.
Pros: great hotel, great location very nice no problem at all
Pros: I love the lounge area. It's beautiful and we sat for hours and talked.
Cons: Even though I paid online for the room prior to staying at the hotel. Marriott held from my acct an additional full room rate charge for 5 days even though I had a zero balance.

Pros: Rafael was eager to please
Cons: My 200 dollar trip turned into 475 multiple unauthorized charges ony account and could not receive a reason why or a refund on the money taken so until my money is returned I'll continue to write negative reviews
