This was the second consecutive year that I stayed at the Hanoi Boutique Hotel & Spa in the Old Quarter. This year's stay was more complex, as I stayed on three separate stops in a row, as I visited Hanoi and surrounding areas. The staff at the hotel professionally managed each transition, including an early-morning arrival from the overnight sleeper train from Lao Cai (Sapa region), where my needs were mostly a shower and a place to reorganize my luggage after an amazing 5-day trekking/motorbiking/local market/homestay experience in Sapa and Bac Ha, and sleeping on the overnight train. This was on the last of the three stops in Hanoi. I was greeted at my 6:00am dreary and bleary arrival at Hanoi Boutique Hotel, by a complimentary upgrade to an executive suite. I was truly surprised and flattered by this service that was so far above and beyond my expectations, as I am not a luxury-style traveler. I have found all of the staff at Hanoi Boutique Hotel to be consistently as kind, attentive and generous as they are professional and detail-oriented. This has become my "home away from home" whenever I will visit Hanoi and the Old Quarter.
This is not a negative, but just be aware that the hotel elevator does not reach the top floor (8th or 9th floor?), so the top floor is a walk-up that is only accessible via a narrow spiral staircase. But, you will receive help carrying your luggage to/from this floor, if you would like. You can also always request a lower floor at booking, or even when you arrive. The hotel staff will do everything possible to attempt to adjust accommodations to your needs - and will typically succeed beyond your request.
Good location, nice bed,
Food quality in Breakfast no good ,, cheap ingredients!!!! Bread , fruit juice & most of the foot are Tasteless。shame to be the name of boutique!!!!! Especially in Asia that produce a lot of great food ingredient!!!!
The bed was super comfy, the pillows extra large.
Bed was super comfy, really good location, close by the beer street and lots of restaurants.
Position of the shower in the bedroom was a bit weird, and water would leak out the bottom of the shower onto the bedroom floor.
The hotel had real character.
