Pros: Location is great. Quiet and secluded, but easy walk to city center. Warm and welcoming staff. Very pleasant gathering room and garden courtyard.
Cons: Guestrooms somewhat small, but comfortable. On your own for on-street metered (during weekdays) parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The front desk staff seemed to show a genuine interest in our day or plans to come, Kelly always mentioned other ideas or have her view of ours. We will definitely be staying here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kelly who worked at the front desk was so nice and accommodating. She immediately made us feel at home. I will definitely return to the Eliza Thompson House -- such a special place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We usually stop half way from Charlotte, NC to Orlando on our family visits, but we have never found a better place than this. It is right in the middle of the historic district and the employees are top notch! The breakfast is fantastic! It reminds me of an upscale European B and B. Highly recommended!!
Cons: No espresso machine! Wah wah. In Spain, France, and Italy you can find espresso (they just call it a caffe') in many hotels of this size. BUT if this is all I found wrong with this place you had better make that reservation!!
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality of the staff was excellent. They were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was substantial and very good as well.
Cons: A/C units in the room are loud and bathrooms could use updating and were very small.

8.5 Excellent

6.2 Good
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Staff we not very helpful and at times rude. We were told of restaurants that offered gluten free menus and while we ended up at one they had next to nothing gluten free and the waitress was not at all aware and seemed to be put-off by our request.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I read mixed reviews online about others' experiences, but didn't let that hinder us from trying it out for our own. I'm glad we decided to stay with Mariott Fairfield! It was affordable, the staff was absolutely wonderful, and the rooms were beautiful. Extremely close to downtown, everything was within walking distance. Such a great experience!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Mansion opened right before I left Savannah and I have been wanting to stay there ever since! It definitely did not disappoint. The room had a view of the park and was beautifully appointed (the bathroom was spectacular). The restaurant was as good as remembered and one of my favorites- it has the look and feel people go to the Pink House for but with better food. The entire hotel and restaurant just felt very 'Savannah'- romantic and haunting. The staff was charming and friendly and I especially loved being surrounded on all sides by art!
Cons: Not much not to like. I wish there was a free parking option (valet was great - friendly and accommodating) but steeply priced for the area (especially as it is their own parking lot right behind the building). Also, have never been to a 4-5 star hotel that did not have free wifi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is opulent. Rooms were large and very comfortable.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location in a great city
Cons: Concierge was pretty much useless. Couldnt make his computer work and tried to get us to eat only at their bar.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a true one of a kind boutique hotel. Wonderfully quirky, beautiful architecture and interior design. Well trained and attentive staff. Phenomenal bar and restaurant. So much more wow factor than the newer Kessler properties like the Bohemia brand.
Cons: My biggest gripe with all 5 star properties (not just Kesslers) is the higher the price point the more they "al a carte" basic services such as parking, internet service, in room amenities, and "resort fees". These surprise upcharges ruin what other wise would be an excellent experience. As a recently retired traveler these charges more often than not discourage me from being a repeat customer. OK, I get paying for parking at say "The Waldorf" in NYC. Most guests don't drive there. But $22/night to park behind the building on their own property at The Mansion is absurd. And $10 for WIFI? Really? Get a grip. We're not all travelling on OP money anymore.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have lived in Savannah all of my life and am a current New York City transplant. I had recently come home to visit my family and decided to stay at the mansion. The hotel was gorgeous - a mixture of old southern charm and the MET. The staff was also great. Very pleasant and met my every need. I would definitely stay here again if I got another chance
6.0 Good
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff & excellent location.
Cons: View: we were in a room that overlooked the HVAC system — but really spent so little time in the room during daylight hours, so it didn’t chatnge how happy we were with the experience. If we are planning a longer stay, we will book a room overlooking the courtyard or the park.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Than mansion itself is stunning. Beautiful decor, art, loved the room.
Cons: We stayed for a week & our keys had to be replaced 5 times in that week. There were no comps or anything even offered for all of our issues with the room keys. I thought we should have been offered some sort of severance for the problems that we had. For that, I was disappointed. Also the food we ordered from room service was very overpriced & not flavorful. We had a salad & a sandwich, which was $50 & they forgot my dressing. The menu, at least for room service, was unimpressive.
6.8 Good
Pros: The property itself is very cool - chandeliers, marble, velvet furniture, modern art, sculptures everywhere. The location is also great in that you're about a mile or so to the main dining/shopping area.
Cons: The service here is terrible but I'm under the impression it's terrible everywhere in Savannah, not just here. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it's a southern thing. Nevertheless, we paid 5 star prices to stay here (by southern standards) and expected 5 star service. The staff failed in this area, HARD. Examples: they didn't set up the sparkling wine service we ordered for arrival; they screwed up our room service order (literally, I ordered plain pasta with red sauce and they couldn't understand my order, so I got pasta drenched in butter); we requested a trash can several times before giving up; we had to request more toilet paper, tissues, coffee creamer, stirrers, etc., because housekeeping didn't leave it. Come on. On a side note, the amenities here are really low end. I didn't bring any shower products thinking what they'd provide would be sufficient. I ended up buying some cheap travel size things from CVS because the products here are even worse than drug store quality. This hotel needs to do a better job of staff training if it wants to be a lux hotel. As it stands right now, I've had better service at a Hampton Inn.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location! Loved the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate bar in the lobby. Great free breakfast too!
Cons: Leaving.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: When I went to check in at the Hampton inn on east Bay Street (the hotel I researched and selected specifically cause of its location) they told me kayak had the hotels messed up and that the hotel I was really booked at was about 11 blocks away and not on the waterfront When we got there and checked in to that hotel my wife and I went to take a shower and the water wouldn't get hot. Then we went to watch some tv and the TV didn't work. The little get away for us to relax for a night was a disaster.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location if you don't want to drive anywhere. the farthest we had to go was to dine at Elizabeths on 37th and we took a taxi (around $7)

6.0 Good
Pros: Liked that the hotel was walk-in distance from everything in Savannah. Hotel staff were nice. The continental breakfast was decent. The hotel seemed to have live music provided on the rooftop later in the evening all throughout the week, this was nice.
Cons: Didn’t like that the hotel didn’t have a complementary water cooler in the lobby, it is extremely hot out in Savannah, the hotel guests need to stay hydrated! We did have cleanliness issues in our room...many stray hairs (that wasn’t mine or my husbands) in the shower and attached to clean towels. Also with the shower, you could tell the shower door glass doesn’t get cleaned, you could see when the glass was fogged up there were drawings/writing that was done from other guests. There was a breakfast Cheerio (we never ate Cheerios while we were here) on the floor under the bathroom counter, this was there the whole week we were in this room! Makes you question the cleaning skills of the hotel staff. There were also some days that the towels weren’t stocked to the fullest. Now onto the rooftop bar and pool...the view isn’t all the greatest but it is cool. The bar and the top floor rooms cut off the main beautiful view of the river. The rooftop pool is decent but don’t expect to just hang out in the pool without getting splashed by a ton of small kids.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Except for the $30/night surprise parking fee, everything about the stay was amazing. The room had a fantastic view of the road and river. The lobby is very upscale. There is constantly free food. The pool was beautiful and the location is, of course, fantastic. The staff was also nice.
Cons: As soon as we arrived we found out parking was valet ONLY at a cost of $30/night. That is an expensive hidden fee that definitely altered the total cost of our stay. They park it in a large lot directly across from the hotel which they could easily make key-card self-park access for guests without the extra charge. We could literally see our car from our room.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: The location and the overall look and feel of the hotel.
Cons: Valet parking for $32/night. While I understand the hotel was in the city, self parking for a cheaper rate is definitely preferable. Fortunately we only stayed at the hotel one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. The guys with the valet parking were great and very helpful about finding locations we wanted to go.
Cons: K now it was the holidays, but several days concierge was not available. Front desk pitched in to help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: i wish I was smart enough to get the names of the two front desk staff that help me check in the two female staff were awesome - they did a superlative job
Cons: hotel was very clean, room perfect, breakfast very nice, staff super
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Pretty room, cool shower, comfy bed. I stayed here one night for business and was able to walk to a great restaurant downtown to meet my clients. After driving around downtown a few times I decided that the Hampton Inn and Staybridge Suites looked like a slightly better location.
Cons: I can't really complain with only one night spent here. Actually I will say that the hotel did not mention a mandatory $25/night valet parking charge that I was hit with when I pulled up to the front door. That's annoying. Let me park my own damn car or tell me in advance.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location, treatment by staff and the breakfast which was awesome.
Cons: The pool area was not well kept.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Price of room, cost to park
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet nicer than most Hilton properties.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and the room was beautiful. It looked as though the hotel had been through a recent renovation. Everything looked clean and new. The color scheme was very pretty; purple and gray. The room was nicely decorated, the bed, pillows and linens clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends. Close to the historic district and shopping.
Cons: Only negative was that it was on a busy street, but the hotel provided ear pugs and white noise machine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was very clean, looks just as the picture did
Cons: NA
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Upon arrival staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed valet parking. Was worth the $25. Room was very comfortable and clean. Was a great distance from River St. Though I had some issues, they were miniscule compared to the location, comfort of the room, and the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Asked for the air to be on and room to be cold upon arrival. Air was not on like I requested. Room was warm. Adjisted the air to my liking then left the room to tour savannah. Did not realize until after walking River St. then comimg back to the room that the a/c was not operating properly. The shower door was broken upon arrival and had to call the front desk to have it fixed. Maintenance showed up quickly to fix the situation. Also requested a quiet room due to the fact we were travelling with a 2 yr old. My room was next to the maintenance/cleaning closet and service elevator. Due to constant flow of people coming and going next to our door it was hard to get my child rest comfortably.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, it was centrally located, the staff was nice!
Cons: Nothing I enjoyed my stay very much!

7.4 Good
Pros: Clean and New Basic Room was good for staying at the hotel for sleeping. We toured the city and beach area and were out most of the day. The rooms were nicely decorated and new. Garage is nice to use to go directly into the floor of my room, and was very easy to unload my suitcase. I did not see a luggage carrier to use. I liked having breakfast included. If you just need a good basic room with breakfast that is a decent price -this is a good choice.
Cons: The location is Okay, but was farther out from the city then I would of liked. But for the money you sacrifice location. The Breakfast was larger then normal with more options and was above normal for hotels but not amazing. I did not like having to pay for parking, but just add the $12 fee to the total price to compare with other hotels. Parking is an issue downtown but not sure why had to add the cost of parking further out in a more suburban area. WiFi was okay for emails but had to pay extra for streaming WiFi. Pool was very small and only holds 19 people and very small space. I missed having a courtyard outside just to sit outside and relax.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was perfect for us, reasonably close to historic downtown Savannah. Our room was a decent size, kept clean daily during our stay by a pleasant staff and the room was conveniently accessible to the parking garage for quick and easy loading/unloading travel items.
Cons: The fact that as a guest you have to pay to park.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. The pool area was clean and well-maintained. Express check-out was very easy and convenient. The room was pretty and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't great, but it was free.

Pros: You can't beat the location or the omelet chef! He's just awesome. The staff is friendly and professional.
Cons: The a/c was super noisy. A maintenance man came up immediately and said he has heard quieter buzz saws! 10 minutes later, he fixed it. Problem was, his fix left me with virtually no a/c! Had to ask for new batteries for the t.v. remotes. Housekeeping should check to make sure the remotes work, not the guest. Bathroom fan goes on automatically. Nice feature, but it runs too long. Mainly little, but annoying issues, except the a/c.
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff helped the best they could but had to change rooms and the AC never got the room below 76 degrees in either room.
Cons: Location

Pros: Our first anniversary started out very stressful and hectic, this being our first time in Savannah, and our trip being largely unplanned, but this hotel redeemed it, from the moment we walked in the stress melted away, our room was beutiful, bed was super Comfy, couldnt have asked for more from our rooms, and the hubby And i loved the happy hour "reception" at the dinning area. We only stayed one night so i didnt get alot of time to see any other amenities.
Cons: I only wish that house keeping knocked louder (i thought she was down the hall until she opened our door) and that the pillows hadnt been down (allergies) and i never thought to ask if they had others

Cons: Hotel shuttle stopped running from airport at 11pm. I arrived just before 11, called hotel and was asked to take a cab - they apologized but said it was difficult to staff the shuttle past a certain time. Totally understand. But i had to pay $15 to go less than a mile. Hotel should consider reimbursing a portion of the cab fare when presented with a receipt.

4.5 Okay
Cons: They list limited free parking. What it should say is no free parking. There is a handful of paces shared by multiple buildings...the hotel has three lots that you have to pay $12 a day to valet your car. It's ridiculous. If I'm paying to stay at your hotel I shouldn't have to pay extra or worry about parking.

Pros: This Hyatt is great...centrally located to historic Savannah, and overall stood up to Hyatt quality. awesome stay!
Cons: We were very surprised and disappointed to learn they would not accept our three night stay toward our Hyatt points as a preferred customer because we book through a third-party. RIDICULOUS!!! Apparently the $825 we spent wasn't appreciated. No where on our on-line reservation did it tell us that, in fact, it asked us for our Hyatt Reward number! We stayed there this time to get our points. Had we known this we would have stayed at one of the historic B&Bs. They'll be hearing from us.

Pros: Valet
Cons: Smell at night from the paper mills
4.2 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice. water view. Location.
Cons: We didn't get the room we booked. The bathroom still had a wet towel from previous guest. The shower had a moldy smell and the drain was clogged with hair. Did not get any form of compensation or discount for the inconvenience.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean and big. Right on the river so it has an amazing view. The room was a decent size and was comfortable.
Cons: I felt like The first check in staff I encountered was trying to scam me. She said my room wasn't available but that they had a room ready but it was an upgrade with additional costs involved. I declined but went to consult with my wife and she said we should do it. I spoke to another check in member who magically was able to find me a room without having to upgrade. Either she didn't really want to help me or it was a setup. Either way I didn't appreciate that.
