Pros: Warm welcome, clean and new apartment, the area, a lot of space for the kids to run around and play football.
Cons: Nothing. Maybe one thing to take into account when you are very tall (but not meant as criticism): in the apartment for 6 people due to the shape of the roof you have to shower sitting down. No problem, but if you are very tall it may be a little bit uncomfortable
Pros: Amazing place. Feels like new and old is mixed in one place. Clean and nice.
Pros: House and its surounding was like from fairytale.
Pros: Great accommodation in quiet setting run by lovely couple !
Pros: Everything we would wish for winter holidays with our 2.5 years old son - privacy, fully equipped and very stylish appartment, super clean, playground outside and playroom inside, crib for free, sledge available, great host and much more. Looking forward to coming back!
Cons: The only negative was that you can hear steps from the upper appartment so if the other guests get up early or have kids you might be waken earlier than you would wish.
Pros: comfy beds, nice hot showers, sand pit and tree house for kids to play. Outdoors seating area , bone fire or bbqs in the evenings, lovely surrounding if you are into nature and sightseeing trips. Very friendly and helpful owners.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Apartment Brusinka offers accommodation on the edge of Kašperské Hory, a 5-minute walk from the nearest ski lift as well as from a town square. Guests can make use of a shared lounge or relax on a terrace. This property has ski-to-door access, a ski school and a ski pass sales point and ski equipment hire is available. Various restaurants, shops and café bars can be found in the town centre. Hiking and cycling trail start next to the Apartment Brusinka. The Zadov Ski Area is a 15-minute car drive away. The Kašperk Castle is 5 km away.
Pros: great room and great and friendly owner.
Cons: I did not read the information about the host living in the property. We exceptionally (normally we travel to distant locations but now with a baby I was glad that my parents came and helped during the day and I could go for skiing) had visitors and also brother's family living closeby who came for 5min to see us. The kids were as kids are noisy in the corridor, the host was quite rude to them and kicked them off the house. I fully understand the anxiety of the host about her property, it is more for me to stay in properties where we are not closely watched.
Pros: Beatiful views of the nearby meadows and forrested hills. The apartments are in a quiet environment. Ms. Ilona is a super friendly and helpful hostess. We would return there again anytime:-) We also liked the fact that there were many good restaurants in the town. Also there were lots of opportunities for hiking locally and also very easy getting to other trailheads by a public transportation. The nearby castle Kasperk is definitely worth the hike.
Pros: The owner was very welcoming and friendly.Nothing was too much to ask.
Pros: Apartments Brusinka (in traslation "Cranberry") are stilish equipped apartments and rooms in walking distance from the very nice main square of the Bohemian town Kašperské Hory. The house was built in 2015. It is furnished with great stile and the host is a really kind lady, ready to explain you all possibilities you have in the location and surroundings (hiking and cycling in summer or skiing in winter). Don´t expect any hotel-like services but rather a cosy place for limited amount of people (there are only two apartments and two rooms + flat of the owner). Highly recommended for lovers of nature and peaceful places!
Pros: Good location, town is beautiful and there are places to eat. The owner is very pleasant, the place is absolutely clean and comfortable.
Cons: The only drawback that you cannot pay for accommodation by card or by bank transfer.
Pros: Owner was very friendly and extremely helpful with lots of good recommendations of what to see and where to hike!! Will stay here again!!
Pros: Location is very interesting. Breakfast was rich and tasty.
Pros: Beautifully renovated old building, well equipped, excellent location in the middle of NP, very quiet, pleasant staff, good meal
Pros: Wonderful 3-night stay with my family during Christmas! Super-nice owners, super-cozy room, great food! Will definitely stay there again if I visit Bayerische Wald again!
Pros: This is a very nice, hospitable Penzion in a pleasant, small Czech village in the middle of S'umava National Park. The proprietors were very accommodating and the home cooked meals were outstanding. The standard European breakfast was excellent with made to order eggs or pancakes every morning. For hiking you can't ask for a better location as numerous trails either start or traverse the village so you can literally hike from the Penzion. Lastly, the wireless internet was very good for those that need to maintain connectivity to the wider world.
Cons: No complaints of substance, the Penzion was everything I expected and hoped for.

Surrounded by a romantic landscaped garden, Zamek Hradek is housed in a 17th-century chateau. Its restaurant serves classic Czech dishes and in the summer, guests can enjoy the summer terrace. Pros: - Great Location in an old Castle from the 15'th century…. unfortunately no "haunted Castle" , as we did not meet any ghost or spook :) - Nice staff, they try the best to provide a good Service - Nice WELLNESS SPA opposite the Castle inside the park --> Great for Swimming, especially when the weather is bad! - Cool Sauna cabins --> different ones, also steam bath - Restaurant cooks YUMMY YUMMY FOOD for an EXCELLENT value !!! Try game !!!! :)
Cons: - we tried to ask for a Massage & the Massage staff in the SPA. Obviously she was in charge (it looked like as the room was open and the Lady was in her Dress) but she said: No, not today … ? (--> might have been a "lost in Translation" Story but we did not have that Impression thus… ) - We have not been informed that the SAUNA is only from 5 pm as we did not go the night before cause we wanted to go in the morning, but we found out that SAUNA part is not open during the day, only from 5 pm :( , to know this ahead is helpful --> for the staff: You could put a note at the reception desc informing About the SPA Hourse and Services.... ;) - Outside lunching at the Restaurant terrace is a bit tricky since they aren't open outside....only for dinner… hmm?
Pros: The place is magnificent and the manager at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect and the location was breathtaking. This is the perfect jumping-off point for anyone exploring the Šumava region.
Cons: The wait staff at supper/breakfast were not especially friendly. Breakfast could also have more variety.
Pros: Lovely property..location was good
Cons: There were ants in the room and bathroom...food was okay, a lot to eat
Pros: ,Very impressing building, beautiful garden, very good restaurant, great indoor pool large bath
Cons: When taking a shower the floor gets wet and very very slippery
Cons: Very, very rude receptionist. I was really shocked by her behavior. I complained to the owner/manager. The owner was, in my opinion, rude as well. He did not apologize for her unacceptable behavior. If you want to be treated as customers were treated during the communist times (1948 - 1989) then book this hotel. Otherwise, I suggest you do not book it. It was really a horrible experience for me (both the behavior of the receptionist and the reaction of the owner). The treatment of customers is not acceptable at all. I very regret that I spent my money there.
Pros: Very nice and good service like always! Definitely come back
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful; the location is a bit out of the way, but that's part of the charm; the wellness center was welcome after bicycling all day.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard; the bathing and toilet room doors were quite hard to open.
Pros: Lady at the desk was kind and understanding. Swimming pool and sauna part of accomodation which was nice. We were also provided with extra towel and sheet for sauna. Restaurant food was also delicious and comes in big portion.
Cons: Nothing much to do in the village except nature walk, which is also a good thing!
Pros: atmosphere, architecture + park, comfortable beds.
Cons: breakfast starting 7:30, bit late if you want to be somewhere at 8am. Restaurant cook till 9pm. we came at 9pm so no dinner.

Pros: Perfectly situated place with wonderfull forrest view. Amazing stuff! Still helpfull with smile.
Cons: Thin walls means to hear neighbour noises more than you expect. And if you want romantic stay in two try to check in advance if families with children are not booked in the same time like you:)
Pros: Friendly staff, good food, nice little pool and hot tub, sauna etc. Several play areas for kids, so we’ll return with the whole family sometime. This was a good choice for our relaxing couple’s weekend despite the many families there; quiet and comfortable!
Cons: Filtered coffee at breakfast was not great. Drinkable at best. There were plenty of other options though, and the food was good. Frankly I was impressed to even see filtered coffee at a breakfast buffet in the Czech countryside
Pros: Wonderful, quiet location, super clean, great facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food, super for families with children, even pets allowed. Choice of a terrace or balcony, we were also able to join two rooms together through a shared door, so clever. We really enjoyed table tennis, bowling, pool and sauna, playground at the restaurant, just wonderful.
Pros: Great hotel location, excellent evening meals.
Cons: Not a 4* hotel! Wellness- Jacuzzi only half working, steam room on demand, only 4 rest chairs in wellness. Bathrobes old and tatty, hotel does not provide free slippers (you have to buy them). Staff disorganized and breakfast terrible (undrinkable coffee and tea). No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, non existent toiletries in room, balcony shared with neighbour (apartment).
Pros: Room was spacious and clean, pet friendly, family friendly, staff were helpful, the food and wine was well above average. Spa area was small but useful when mostly there for cross country skiing, excellent heavy breakfast buffet to fill you up for a day's skiing. Nice local area, tourist path with 2 old churches and a glass factory nearby.
Pros: The property sits in a great location, it’s very clean and tidy, the staff is really friendly.
Cons: I can’t come to anything
Pros: Very good location. Beautiful nature all around. Very good diner. Nice and friendly staff.
Cons: No offer for special diet for breakfast (vegetarian/ gluten free) The welness area is not very cosy.

Pros: - staff, breakfast, location
Pros: Easy accessible, downtown but with lot of parking space. Very nice and clean hotel. We got there really late and the lady waited for us, very appreciated.
Cons: breakfast was missing a few things.
Pros: Excellent hotel! Modern, clean and comfortable rooms, helpful staff. Restaurant really surprised us with delicious food and great service! 18 m pool is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay!
Pros: Great little town, great quality hotel, great value for money.
Cons: Everything just fine
Pros: Location, view, restaurant, private parking even for extra fee
Cons: Missed air conditioning or fan. Was too hot.
Pros: Amazing herbal tea at breakfast (and food in general).
Cons: Walking to the swimming pool across the backyard :(
Pros: Great location, many restaurants around, comfortable room, very friendly staff, very good breakfast.
Cons: Big swimming pool.
Pros: Great place and location.
Cons: The personal could be more with energy, smile and more let´s say client oriented. I had feeling that Im back to 80’s. If I compare cost / quality, for example Hotel Madr closed by is at different level. In this hotel u can expect avarage.
Pros: Great location and nice facilities. Breakfast was good. Staff tried to be helpful but not in DNA of hotel. Very nice swimming pool at 17m long.
Cons: After I made the reservtion, the hotel called me and asked me to cancel the reservation because they wanted people to stay for the entire Easter weekend and not just one night. I told them that they can't cancel the reservation but if there is some issue then they should process it through booking.com where I made the reservation. The receptionist said she would speak with the manager and call me back. She called me later apologised and welcomed us to the hotel. I never experienced this with any hotel and I've stayed at hundreds of hotels. Also, we could hear everything through the walls/doors. Children where running around being loud at 10:30 pm and no staff was around to control them. Parents where no where to be found.
Pros: The hotel has a superb location and the biggest added value is the swimming pool and its view over the main square. However, the rooms are definitely not soundproofed and you can hear every single step made in the corridor, which may be quite uncomfortable especially early in the morning. But in overall we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Located in Šumava National Park, Hotel Modrava houses an à-la-carte restaurant, as well as a hot tub, and a sauna. Free WiFi is accessible at the property. Barbecue facilities are available on request. Free parking is possible on site. Hotel Modrava also provides bicycle rental.
Pros: Great cuisine - homemade food. Amazing placement in a country. Good ski equipment rental. Nice and helpful staff.
Cons: Older furniture.
Pros: We looked for a place which would be close to the hiking trails. For that it was perfect. And I needed a place only for one night.
Cons: Poor selection for vegetarians at breakfast. But breakfast looked very homemade and cute. But there were some scary things, for example there was extension cord with 4 sockets. When I wanted to make a hot sandwich I had to plug the device in to that extension cord and disconnect it. I would say that getting an electric shock there was very probable. All the sockets were connected and lot of devices were working with extension cords.
Pros: Grest !!! Excellent location and room was really nice! Restaurant great!!
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, sauna, good restaurant, sky rent available
Cons: The wifi is not very reliable
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful in any way. Modrava itself is spectacularly great! Restaurant had everything fresh cooked! it was tasty too.
Cons: This hotel needs renovation!!!
Pros: The hotel restaurant and the staff
Cons: The sauna didn’t provide linen, only towels.
Pros: Tiny Modrava might be one of your best choices to stay in Sumava National Park - just a few steps and you are out on great trails through forest and marshlands. This property sits right by the relatively busy road between the major stops and trailheads into the park. Hotels across the bridge will be quieter and kids can roam more freely. That said. like many hotels in the Czech countryside also Hotel Modrava is very kid friendly. There is a huge game room and a small shed with outdoor toys. Breakfast is plenty and rooms are spartan but spacious and have space for an extra bed.
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: The beds were very hard. Had 1 evening meal, waited 45 mins for soup , when it came it was lukewarm, waited another 30 mins for the main and that was almost cold. Have been in this hotel before a few times and no problems before.
Cons: We didnt like the restaurant staff and the breakfast service (we had to ask for basic stuff many time) The shower drain was stucked We asked for doublebed but got 2 single beds The sauna was not perfect, but at least it was cheap.

Pros: The boss was totally forthcoming and even went a mile out of his way to make our stay comfortable, including all sorts of special arrangements. When I forgot some stuff in our room upon a hurried checkout, he personally made sure nothing got lost... Thanks!
Cons: What I didn't like? Having only one day there.
