Pros: Amazing breakfast, the ambience of the B and B. The hosts and their generous sharing of local knowledge - loved both dinner venues. The choice of areas to relax in ,the home cooked goodies to have with coffee. The best ever cinnamon scrolls.
Pros: Breakfast was amazing!
Cons: Our radiator was not turned on and we were able to correct it. But it took a while to warm the room.
Pros: Room was beautiful and comfortable. Kitty and Dave, the proprietors were wonderful, friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. And they are excellent chefs. I loved this place, it was my first B& B experience and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.
Pros: The owner was very helpful, eager to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and unique. The house is beautiful and authentic.
Pros: Room,people,food. All excellent
Pros: It was in a small quiet town, the house was charming and had a comfortable feel to it. very clean. David and Kitty were welcoming and helpful! Also breakfast was healthy and very tasty!
Cons: We had to share a bathroom.
Pros: Delicious breakfasts! Three delicious options each morning. The local information from the hosts was very helpful, even though we’ve visited this area several times, they helped us find a lovely dinner at River’s Edge and a delicious lunch at Bittersweet Cafe. We enjoyed hiking at Ohiopyle and spa treatments at Nemacolin.
Cons: While the atmosphere of the house is cozy, comfortable, and clean, I would have to add one C for the room; a bit cluttered.
Pros: We stayed at the Hartzell B&B after visiting the Fallingwater house. We enjoyed very much our stay. Dave gave us a warm welcome, toured us through the spacious house, let us choose our bedroom, explained the breakfast menu and gave great restaurant recommendations. The house is wonderful, extremely clean, beautifully decorated by someone who knows how to give attention to authenticity. The garden is wonderful. The bedroom is spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast is unbelievably delicious. It is cooked with fresh, local and authentic ingredients. You can choose between 3 plates. We had the quiche and the french toast. We shared it. It was outside of this world. We had a lovely conversation with Dave during our breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful. .accommodation's all were over the top and Kitty and David were so personable and such great people!
Cons: I liked everything!
Pros: Kitty and David have a beautiful B&B..the breakfast was amazing. .the bed was so comfy with wonderful sheets and toiletries. .everything so clean! Kitty and David helped us with suggestions and directions to everything. This was a great experience and I would definitely return!
Cons: Not a thing! Great place to stay!

Pros: I have traveled the world over many years and this resort ranks right up there with the BEST European Hotels ..The service was fabulous the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The food could win next to any 5 star Chef in any hotel the food was wonderful no matter what you had just appetizers to a full course meal..The wine selections was beautiful. So much to do their we are coming back because we just could not do everything we wanted to do and we enjoyed every minute. The shuttle service is fantastic we gave our car when we came to the Valet and never had to move it again until we left ..this is experience is indescribably fantastic and the best part who knew this gem was located so close to home we came home refreshed, and relaxed can't say enough about this wonderful place
Cons: There was nothing I did not like my husband and I just marveled of how every little detail exceeded our expectations...you need to experience this resort at least once in your life.
Pros: The room and the adult pool
Cons: The restaurant was just average for the price. I don’t mind spending the money but I expect quality.
Pros: Room was over the top! Service was amazing!
Cons: Everything was good!
Pros: Phenomenal hotel... The best service I've ever received, from the front desk staff, to the valets, to all the waiters we dealt with. Top to bottom a special, five-star resort and experience.
Cons: No complaints at all. Even the slightly-farther locations on the property are easily accessible to prompt and frequent shuttles.
Pros: This place is Absolutely amazing in every manner.
Cons: I loved everything. No complaints.
Pros: location was convenient. I thought it was great that the site was so inclusive and BEAUTIFUL!!
Cons: Booked outdoor paintball, but was cancelled due to not enough players. My boys were disappointed as that was the highlight of the day for them.
Pros: Beautiful resort. We stayed in the lodge and it was wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff. Wish I had more time but plan to return.
Cons: A welcome complimentary cocktail hour would be great. Prices for dinner on the high end but very good food.
Pros: The overall property and rooms. Staff was great and nice ambience!
Cons: Food , options were very limited , food wasn’t good for the money charged , Our room wasn’t cleaned the day before our check out inspire of requesting multiple times. While the resort has a lot of amenities , I think it lacked s children’s play area / playground closer to tbe chateau where we stayed .
Pros: It was beautiful
Cons: Very expensive

Pros: Room was nice.
Cons: The beds hard, no blankets, only a sheet on bed. Hot tub was extra $45.00 a didn't work normal and dirty. Everything else fine.
Pros: Duplex cabin. Cabin was clean. Bed and recliners in sitting area were comfortable. Plenty of hot water.
Cons: Wifi wasn't very strong, kept losing connection(but it is in a remote location so it's to be somewhat expected).
Cons: No outdoor hot tub on all rooms, photos on booking.com are misleading. Also early check in was pretty expensive.
Pros: Clean easy access and nice outdoors.
Cons: Kitchen could have been slightly bigger and a small stove would have been nice.
Pros: My husband likes the bed more than other places we have stayed.
Cons: Better common area more picnic tables near grill/ table outside on porch to eat at, got my bathing suit stolen off porch and the neighbors were really loud at night. The office also had inconvenient hours couldn't get towels or toilet paper when we needed them early in the morning.
Pros: The size of the room and overall accommodations were great. Very clean! The location to nearby attractions was wonderful. Will definitely be back.
Cons: Telling the customer that it didn't have a hot tub. Not to advertise then show up dissatisfied!!! Very poor advertising. Never again!!!
Pros: Breakfast was not included. Appreciated having a refrigerator and TV.
Cons: We were under the impression we had booked a room (lodge) on the lake but we were booked on a hill without a view.
Pros: The cabin was clean and comfortable. The location and amenities were great. I had to change to a dog friendly cabin a few days prior to our arrival and the staff facilitated the change happily.
Cons: We (as well as a couple 2 doors down) got locked out of our cabin our first evening there. We both called the after hours emergency line. No one answered the after hours line or returned the call for over an hour. The other couple realized that during check in the agent was pushing them to try a particular restaurant. The couple called the restaurant and found out that they were owned by the same people. The person at the restaurant was able to tell us where the master key was located on the property. The manager came by later that evening and apologized for the emergency line not working. They provided us with gift certificates to the restaurant and passes to the local movie theater to make up for the difficulty.
Pros: Beautiful location for the 4th of July fireworks on the lake. Very private and clean lodge.
Cons: My neighbors were noisy.
When you stay at Paddler's Lane Retreat in Confluence, you'll be 11 minutes by car from Youghiogheny River Lake. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and express check-out. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything was perfect, I really appreciate all what The host have done to us. They are so nice and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. We really liked the place and the location.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and a library. This hotel has 5 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The inn and it's setting are beautiful. Food was delicious and free breakfast (Crab Eggs Benedict, yum) was a nice plus. The staff was extremely helpful in providing tourist advice. Sunset on the deck was relaxing and gorgeous. Highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Only drawback, which was minor, was the inn's proximity to the highway. Sound of trucks climbing the mountain road detracted a little from an otherwise beautiful location.
Pros: Historic aspects of this beautiful old Inn.

Pros: We had a great weekend at Wisp right before the summer rush! The resort offered a wide range of activities, the rooms were large and clean, and the location was great!
Cons: The beds were not extremely comfortable, and we had trouble regulating the temperature in the room. (But to be fair, that could be user error!)
Pros: The hotel is nothing special, in need of refurbishing and updating but clean. You're staying for the great location to what Deep Creek has to offer, so enjoy that
Cons: Dingy, scuffed up hallways Older facilities
Pros: One of the best attributes of Wisp resort is its staff from the hotel, restaurant, instructors to ski patrol. Friendly, helpful and just pleasant and nice.
8.5 Excellent (304 reviews)

Pros: Biscuits and gravy on the weekends was a treat. The window seat in the room was cool
Cons: So close to a prison Staff was sparse
Pros: The window seat in the room was so nice. The bed was very very comfortable. The room was clean. The bathroom need a little more shelving around the sink but the tub and shower were very roomy. We loved the breakfast it had sausage gravy and biscuits which is rare for a continial bkfast. The front desk staff very sweet and accommodating and the housekeepers we meet very very nice spike to us and had smiles
Cons: The side door would not take our room key to gain entrance. More shelving around bathroom sink
Pros: CONTNENTAL BREAKFAST
Cons: FIRST ROOM DIDN’T SMELL TO GOOD. THE GAVE US ANOTHER ROOM.
Pros: Everything quiteness breakfast staff was great an very helpful loved them
Cons: The tv reception but fine
Pros: Great hotel if you’re looking for a place to stay in the area. The staff was very friendly and the location was quiet.
Cons: No fitness center.
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, nothing super fancy, but nice!
Cons: Not enough tables and chairs for breakfast.
Pros: Very clean. Looks like it was just built.
Cons: The room was very small. This was my first time staying at a microtel. So that might be what they are known for.
Pros: The bed was one of the MOST comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Hotel very clean. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Location but you can’t do anything about that. There really aren’t any restaurants close.
Pros: We liked how accommodating the hotel was for our pet. Even though items were not brand new, everything was very clean!
Pros: Quiet, and Clean. Nice rooms and Staff
Cons: The location of the hotel is poor. There are no restaurants.
Pros: The desk personnel were nice. Check in and check out were seamless. The building and room were maintained well.
Cons: The cable tv did not function properly and we were unable to watch television the entire three nights we stayed. The front desk person came to the room and was unable to fix. A call was placed with the carrier to fix, but service was never restored while we were there. The only other complaint is that there are only 4 tables for breakfast. When coming down for breakfast at 8:30, we found ourselves wandering around waiting for a table to empty. Many people were forced to take their breakfast back to their rooms to eat. When staying on the 3rd floor, that is not convenient.
Pros: It was close to highway
Cons: Food choices but hotel can’t do anything about that
With a stay at The Lodge at Chalk Hill in Farmington, you'll be 6.4 mi (10.3 km) from Kentuck Knob and 8 mi (12.8 km) from Cucumber Falls. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The Terrance looking at the lake.
Pros: Didn't stay for breakfast.
Cons: Flimsy front door. Sheets were dirty, I saw bug carcasses in both beds. They were not changed daily. My friend said she got insect bites in bed.
Pros: Great location
Cons: Beds was small booked 2 full beds got 2 twin beds. Both of which was extremely hard. The concrete path would have been softer.
Pros: Great value and price. We had a lovely deck overlooking a small pond. Very peaceful, woodsy setting. Reminded me a lot of the summer camp lodge setting of the 70's and 80's. I really loved it. It was also fairly close to Frank Lloyd Wright's 'Falling Water,' the main reason for our visit.
Cons: For the price, there was nothing that I did not like. I always wish, though, for a more expansive, European-style continental breakfast, something other than the typical bread offerings.
Pros: Breakfast was adequate. Location on a busy highway was noisy. Air quality in room was stuffy and smelled of mould.
Pros: I am an owner of a Pest control company, so i was looking for bed bugs or bugs in general. This place was very clean.
Cons: The breakfast was very bad. I expected better. They had muffins bananas and coffee. The bathroom showers handle to not stay up and only got a little water on you for a shower.
Pros: I liked the rooms - (cabins) overall, they are fairly large and each has there own deck. The beds, bathroom and other amenities were good. The location is relatively scenic, most of the cabins overlook a small lake. The breakfast was your typical "continental" breakfast with cereal, bagels, muffins, orange juice etc.
Cons: The only issue I noticed was the door to my room was very hard to open, you really had to push on it to get it open since it was sticking somewhere.
Pros: Great location-close to Ohiopyle/Laurel Highlands, clean, affordable, friendly staff.
Pros: Nice room’s view and average breakfast.
Cons: Outdated room and washroom !
Pros: secuded and had a lake nearby
Cons: The smell
Pros: I would say the Lodge at Chalk Hill gets a high rating due to the excellent value. Everything was clean & comfortable, just as it should be & you can't beat it, for the price. If you're visiting for Falling Water, Kentuck Knob or rafting/Kayaking at Ohiopyle & are on a budget, this should be your first choice!
Cons: Minor points. There are hand built steps, to get into the room (just one step). I would like to see them a little more stable. Ours was actually broken, when we got there, but they replaced it immediately, so that's a good sign. I hurt my back, right before our trip & it was a little tough getting into the room. This would not in any way stop me from staying here again.
Pros: Nice place for Continental breakfast. Staff helpful and cordial. Rooms are nice, clean, with a nice view
With a stay at Alpine Lake Resort in Terra Alta, you'll be on a lake, and 17.2 mi (27.7 km) from Deep Creek Lake and 18 mi (28.9 km) from Wisp Resort. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It had a lot of amenities
Cons: No breakfast on Sundays, not even a coffee stand
Pros: Everything! Beautiful location and so much to do. GREAT place to unplug and enjoy the family and nature!!
Cons: Don’t follow the GPS if you are heading west from Cumberland area. It will take you on the BACK ROADS of Western Maryland.
Pros: The activities offered (golf, kayaking, miniature golf and indoor swimming) were inexpensive (or free in the case of the pool). The room charges were likewise much lower than properties near Deep Creek and Oakland, MD. The view and grounds were likewise beautiful.
Cons: Nothing, really. Did not try the restaurant.
Pros: Great place to stay. Great staff. Good Dinners. Beautiful scenery. Many things to do. Very reasonably priced. Over all great property and beautiful drive in the mountains
Cons: Breakfast needs to be better- would love to see more entertainment for weekend visits
Pros: Bed as great staff in restaurant great
Cons: Carpet was wet and dirty. Air was not cool
Pros: It is a beautiful view and nice and quiet after dark. The restaurant was good. We will be going back.
Cons: Need more staff in the restaurant- everyone was very nice but we waited for 1 hour and 12 minutes on our breakfast - and then it was over cooked and cold.
Pros: the place is beautiful and awesome to relax. the private beach(lake) is great. the pool are is also amazing.
Cons: No breakfast included, the building need some painting.
Pros: This was a spur of the moment weekend trip. Alpine Lake was great. The room was nice and clean. The surroundings were beautiful.
Pros: Nice views
Cons: Breakfast quality was not very good.
Pros: Beautiful views Peaceful Friendly staff Lovely restaurant Pristine lake I plan to come back!!!
Cons: Balcony didn’t have chairs. It was a little worn.
Pros: The property is absolutely beautiful. We have traveled 3 times to this property since Spring and enjoy it more and more each time. The golf course is absolutely amazing well kept and a bit challenging. The price for golf is unbeatable worth the 2 1/2 hr drive. Dinners are good and very reasonably priced. Staff has been friendly and make you feel welcomed. The property has homes and cabin rentals. What we liked the most is you can Golf, Fish,Kayak,Hike or just sit outside , have a drink and enjoy the beauty.
Cons: Breakfast is not as good as the dinners and the service is a bit slower
When you stay at Heldreth Motel in Kingwood, you'll be 13 minutes by car from Hovatter's Wildlife Zoo. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make me comfortable. I was able to check in quickly and sleep comfortably.
Cons: I was given a room with no shower capability and no plug for the bathtub. It was a little inconvenient.
Pros: It was just what we needed. Came to visit family and their house doesn’t have showers or air conditioning. The restaurant was nice too we had breakfast there every day if our stay.
Pros: Cleanliness comfortable
Pros: Breakfast not included.
Cons: No coffee available
Pros: Location was good. Easy to get to and close enough to stores, food, gas etc.
Cons: My non smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. The bath towels were slightly bigger than finger towels and very scratchy... horrible. The hot water in the shower ran out before I could get even half through a short shower, the TV remote barely worked.. no guide and the TV looked to be at least 20 yrs old, the door of my room was very hard to close and it had to be slammed to get it to close, the fridge (though I appreciate having it) made a terribly loud humming noise constantly that made it hard to sleep.
Pros: Close to my event and good value.
Cons: The only real issue was with nats in the room.
Pros: The staff was friendly
Cons: The sheets in the bed weren’t clean, the refrigerator in my room didn’t work
Pros: Price wasn't bad
Cons: Tv outdated, bed not too comfy, door had a big crack top and bottom, little musty smell.
Pros: It was clean no trash laying anywhere, everyone was nice and friendly and they have a restaurant right in the parking lot.
Cons: There wasn’t nothing I didn’t like about the property, everyone was nice. It would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room and maybe a couple extra pillows for the bed. I can’t say there wasn’t 1 thing I didn’t like about the motel or the property.
Pros: What a find! Located in the beautiful hills, stayed during the changing of the leaves.. Sunday morning breakfast beside hotel was perfect beginning to our day of hiking in the mountains. We'll stay again!
Cons: Need larger and more towels for a couple.
Pros: Remote for the TV didn't work. The wall covering in the bathroom was coming loose. The tub had numerous scratches and was dated. All in all the room needed a make over. The carpet had stains.
Cons: Fix the items above.
Pros: Very enexpensive and able to get in last minute.
Cons: Very outdated. Had difficulties with room charges (they fixed them but shouldn't have happened in the first place). Small room. Did I say outdated? Very 60's.
Pros: Nice town it was in...
Cons: I just needed a place to sleep, how bad could it be? TV was an old analog style which the remote didn’t work, had to flush the toilet by lifting the lid and pulling up the flapper, was note enough water pressure to take a shower. We did not feel comfortable putting our heads on the pillows so we put a blanket out of the car over them... Checked out after 1 night.

Pros: The location
Cons: Was run down and not clean
Pros: Didn't partake in breakfast.
Cons: The hotel is badly in need of a remodel. I didn't expect a 4 star hotel but it was shabby and run down. The room we stayed in was large but it was damp, everything we touched felt wet. The AC unit worked but was noisy. Staff was pleasant. Pool was closed. It wasn't bad enough to leave but it was close.
Pros: The tub in suite 418
Cons: At check in the entire lobby was leaking buckets everywhere. I had to place buckets in the dinning area. The pool was closed and the ice machine was out of order.
Pros: Comfortable bed. Clean room.
Cons: Breakfast - scrambled eggs were lukewarm. Electric was off for almost 5 hours, from 7pm - 11:45pm. My husband was there at 7pm when electric went off. Took a lukewarm shower, went to bed with no lights. No AC. I arrived at 9:30pm. Emergency lights were not working on one hall. Front desk said we could go somewhere else. It was too late to do that. Would have appreciated discount for the inconvenience.
Pros: Location was great
Cons: It was dirty and very poorly maintained
Pros: The beds were very comfortable
Cons: Our room and hallway reeked of fresh cigarette smoke. We had the hardest time falling asleep. It was as if someone was smoking in our room.
Cons: Swimming pool was advertised as available which played a role in selecting hotel but was not open.
Pros: Breakfast was pretty good
Cons: I was turned off by the stains on the rugs and The hotel didn’t look very clean in the common areas. Smelled mildew and would have stayed elsewhere if there were other hotel options
Cons: Not very clean.....door handle of bathroom was coming off....had to fix ourselves. Deadbolt doesn't lock and safety latch was coming off as well.
Pros: Large rooms. Free hot breakfast.
Cons: Pool was closed.
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Where to begin, the mold, the scum in the bathroom, the beds on wooden platforms, the COBWEB we walked through when we entered the door. it smelled as if it got flooded with toilet water and they did nothing about it. there is absolutely no way it could pass a health inspection and it should be shut down IMMEDIATELY
