Dinner; breakfast Nothing
Nice environment, clean and comfortable Was waiting for someone in the reception for 15 min. No Personal to reach, not even at phone!
Friendly, helpful staff Value for money Nothing
The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly
Very nice surroundings, very quiet. Low electrosmog levels: actually it seems to be one of the few hotels without a phone mast on the roof, or nearby. Great restaurant.
It is calm and clean, and good breakfast.
all the comforts and the fantastic service. not finding this place earlier in my holiday.
Wireless access to the internet The smell of the sour from in toilet
The room seemed to have been recently renovated and was quite nice. The breakfast buffet was quite good. The staff were polite, but obviously not very experienced, therefore the professionality of the service was not very high.
Staff were very friendly and efficient. I did not get full use of the hotel due to my late arrival and early start the next day.
easy train access to town super easy flyout spa could not be used. hours too short
This is a beautiful hotel and a real credit to the Hilton brand. We were greatly impressed by the design/layout of the hotel; the quiet rooms; great views of the ocean, aquarium and city; and the dedication and courtesy of all staff we encountered. And it's pretty fabulous that you can literally be at your airport gate within five minutes. It's more work to get into the city, but it's incredibly easy to get on the Metro and arrive there quickly.
The final room was nice, cozy and the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom as very nice. First room was non-smoking and obviously had a smoker in it. Second room had a shower head that wouldn't stay put because the plastic had rubbed off where it was held, so had to turn the whole holder to have it shower straight down. Second room's AC wasn't working as it said the room was unoccupied till sometime in the middle of the night. We also didn't get our wakeup call because the staff forgot to change the room number when we got our new room. Luckily we set our own alarm. When told about the issues the staff suggested we needed to call and they'd fix it and otherwise didn't care much.
Location, staff, breakfast, view, beds Bathroom was clean but a little bit old fashion (did not really matched the rest of the hotel)
Nice hotel. Easy access to metro. A great stay!
Staying overnight before an early flight was easy and comfortable. Hotel was modern and very clean. Waiters at the bar were a little slow.
The staff was very nice and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was right for my stay. Access to the city through the Metro that is just down a protected walkway, also off of the airport, was also very nice since it was rather cold and windy the day I was there. The bar was quite pricey, but I do believe that's to be expected in a place such as this.
The beds are small
Not much really Close to the airport, close to the city center, only14 min metro ride!, make this hotel an excellent place to stay although it is right by the airport.
Staff confusion, and poor info sharing. I was told at check in that I could have 2 bottle of water from the mini-bar gratis due to my HHONORS status. Checkout clerk tried to charge me for them, then disputed with me whether I was allowed 1 or 2 bottles gratis. Prepaid for the room and breakfast: was unable to enjoy breakfast due to an early flight departure, and the fact that the breakfast did not open until 0630. What airport hotel does not accommodate early travelers, needs? Evening buffet was very expensive (~$44 USD) and not of high quality. Arrived at 2000 (exact midpoint of service) and 2/3 of steamer trays were empty. Wait staff was indifferent. Not a mistake I will make twice.
Loved everything about this hotel, spacious, airy, great staff. I stayed there several years ago, and the design has not aged. It was great to be able to take back my rental car to the garage across the street, and be able to walk from there to the hotel. It has a wonderful connection to Copenhagen and other places in Sjaelland via S train, Metro or intercity trains. And you can catch a train to Sweden without ever setting foot outside. I highly recommend this hotel. Checking out in the morning was a problem, with huge crowds of weary americans trying to check in. So I just left my key in the box provided, and hope they found it! The front desk staff were a bit overwhelmed.
Great location after 26 hours of flying. Fabulous breakfast. Helpful staff.
Close to metro. Two supermarkets and restaurants within waking distance. Maybe change up buffet menu
Closeness to Copenhagen airport and public transit. Clean and safe and quiet. Decent breakfast everyday. Free shuttle from airport Nothing, except I wish there was a mini fridge.
This is a very pleasant hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Located in a lovely neighborhood, close to the airport. It is with in walking distance of the subway and a few a few worthwhile attractions. Hotel has a restaurant or there are several with in walking distance, with a grocery store and quaint pub across the street. We will happily stay again if we have the opportunity!
Easy access to the airport Noise isolation was insufficient. (I had to use ear plugs)
Room was clean Close to the airport and the aquarium (which had a shuttle to both downtown and airport, about a km from hotel). Transit (bus and metro) available both to downtown and airport (knowledge of the routes and location s of stop would be advised Breakfast was tasty and what would be expected at a hotel. Free shuttle to and from airport Area was quiet, not a big tourist area. Room was warm, no air conditioning available. Basic room, no fridge Out of the way if your going to downtown unless you have a knowledge of the busses in the area. Shuttle to the airport only worked limited hours, so if you needed to be at the airport mid day it was go early or take a cab, walk to the metro station or walk to the airport.
Close enough to the airport. The taxi ride from the airport at 12:30 am was the worst taxi ride I've ever been on. The taxi driver was angry, irate and demanding. He was upset because he said he on in line waiting for riders for two hours only to take me over the the hotel which was a short ride for him. The flag down was 44DKK and for a kilometer ride (driver said it was kilometer away), I ended sliding my card for 77DKK. That ok considering it was past midnight, but then he demanded me to give him a tip. I actually was going to give him a $10 tip, because I only had US dollars with me. I handed him the $10 and he actually converted what I was suppose to give him. He said he should be tipped $11.56. I have him $12.00. I got off the taxi and ended up practically taking him luggage off his trunk and sped off like a lunatic! Never again!
The lobby was recently remodeled. For being a hotel remote from the city of Copenhagen, it was very easy to access public transportation from the hotel. The staff were very friendly! The sheets were clean. The bathroom was disgusting and had a terrible odor coming from the drains that made it smell like an outhouse. The shower would get water all over the bathroom and was very difficult to get in and out of. The room was tired and it needed to be remodeled. i think the hotel is over priced for what you get.
The free shuttle and breakfast Nothing
Quiet neighborhood and easy walk to the Metro. Nice full breakfast included. 5 minutes from airport and they provide a shuttle. Rooms were very small and price was a little high for what you got.
Very comfortable overnight stay. Appreciated the free shuttle service to the airport. N/A
I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. Very clean, nice bathroom, good neighborhood and the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Easy walk to the airport.
Clean and comfortable hotel with a bathtub (rarity in Scandinavia!). The included breakfast was extensive and delicious. Also, the airport shuttle was extremely convenient for our needs. The advertised airport shuttle does NOT run all day. Luckily for us, it covered the times we needed it but I can easily imagine it inconveniencing other guests if their flights arrived/departed during off-times.
Room/bathroom space very inadequate. Beds low.
One train stop from airport, close to good walking paths, moderate price in expensive city Guest rooms very small, extra charge for breakfast
Close to the airport, good value for the price. Clean, comfortable rooms.
Very easy to get to-easy walk right off Tarnby Station which is one stop from the airport. Let us check in early (had just come off a cruise and staying a night in Coph), Wi Fi, computers to use in lobby, large lobby area (also used for breakfast, so lots of tables to work/play at), breakfast available for price-we did not do this, very clean and staff very helpful, grocery store close. rooms were very small, but very clean. Definitely not like the bathrooms we are used to in the US, but worked fine. Bring an electrical adapter if you want to charge your phone (only have Danish plug ins available). We only sleep in a room, so fine for us.
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, quick check-in process, EXCELLENT location if you have a flight to/from CPH. Very clean. Cons: Bad sound isolation (the noisy upstairs neighbors kept us up all night) and a truly awful mattress - saggy with bad springs. True that you get what you pay for, but with a better mattress, this hotel would be a total bargain. As it is, I'm not sure I would return, even though the price is fantastic for DK.
Clean, convenient, comfortable, free wifi, quiet for me cause of quiet neighbors Lack of restaurants nearby
Nice location, frindly staff, close to train station, airport
The staff was friendly and our room was very nice and clean It wasn´t posible to eat at the hotel because of renovation, I would have liked to know this before booking the hotel.
Lots of Mosqitous
It has good location and connection through public transportation. Easy to get to from CPH airport and city When we arrived in the hotel, the booking.com reservation was not in their system. I had the confirmation printed out and hotel staff managed to arrange for a room even if hotel was fully booked, so thanks to them for that, but I wasn't very impressed with booking.com for that surprise. Hotel also has a mold problem. It was not in the rooms but as soon as you step in the front door, you know there is structural problems with the building.
Practical and well functioning hotel with a positive and friendly atmosphere. Spacious and light rooms.
It is near to my meeting place The hotel is very old and need to be renewed. There is bad smell all over the hotel. The bathroom is not very clean. The Wi-Fi network signal strength is very poor and it is missing in some rooms.
The hotel is situated by the sea and has a "marin tuch". Located between Luisiana and Bakken. The rooms are not new and the hotel has a bit of the 70s left. The game room is not fun!
The reception was fine, the room was OK (we have had better rooms at the Marina Hotel in the past! No view on Oeresund). The bathroom is rather poor and in this case both toilet and washbasin did not evacuate properly.
The facility itself was nice, comfortable bed, decent room. I don't stay in hotels often but it was okay for the money This is not in Copenhagen. I had to take the regional train to get there, almost an hour away from the airport. I was carrying a large backpack and a smaller one due to traveling around Europe for almost 3 weeks before arriving and was treated rather abruptly by the woman behind the desk. I got the feeling I was looked down upon. Then in the morning when I was settling my room tab she made a point to explain the currency I was getting back...also in a belittling fashion. Not necessary at all.
Hotel is conveniently located for those who have business or holiday in the Copenhagen area and who have their own car. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff was providing service all right but without real interaction with the guests. Saying "goodbye" or something like that when someone leaves after a full week stay should not be too much trouble. Pillows were extremely soft and small.
Very friendly staff and relaxed common areas
definetely nothing besides the size of the rooms and the location for a visit to copenhagen paper basket was not emptied during 4 days, rooms poorely cleaned, unfriendly and ignorant staff, non motivated unfriendly and "dirty" cook at barbecue, no recommendation at all
The location was what I needed.
We enjoyed our stay at Rungstedgaard ... No
I liked beautifule view to sea and nice historical location near Karen Blixen Musem. Most of the all I liked the price. Now in summer 2010 hotel is under renovation. That causes some uncomfortness if you are extremely demanding traveller. Normal adaptive person it should not be a major issue.
The facility is very pleasant and near north Zealand sites-Louisiana, Kronborg and Fredericksborg.are only minutes away. A very comprehensive Karen Blixen museum is next door. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are quiet and attractively decorated. Not only do they provide wi-fi, but furnish the computer in the room. Very attractive courtyard. The facility is undergoing extensive remodeling and access may be cumersome. There is one elevator in one corner of the facility and its a long way to the opposite corner.
Good location-beach front, huge lot, 20-30 min. beach driving to Copenhagen, 20 min. beach driving to Helsingor & North Zealand area where has gorgeous castles and other tourist attractions. High speed internet, computer set in each room, very generous services on cold & beverages, copy machines and printers at several places. Free parking. Much potential after finishing renovation. Hot foods in breakfast. Good price for overall. Extened my staying to 4 nights. Long way to parking & to rooms. Needs check-in & out parking at least. Stairs shouldn't be in the ways for suitcase carriage. Not enough signs and no English sings. Building is classic, but on the contrary the most of furnitures are too light & contemporary.
The rooms were spacious and bed good, however this is an old university dorm room style - no elevators. Shower best pressure in any hotel I've ever stayed at. must know: Catch the train from the airport to Rungstegard Kryst about €20 - taxi will cost €100. From the train station walk 20m to traffic light and turn right, then walk 800m to traffic lights and turn right, hotel is 400m on the right. Staff were not there to meet me at 10pm and was pitch black with no instructions.
Close to the airport. Good beds. Nice breakfast. Breakfast opens only at 6 am, too late for an airport hotel. I was sleeping just in front of the outside door. A lot of noice from early in the morning from suitcases, footsteps, door that slamed every time. The rooms were also very noisy, I could here every toilet that flushed ... Restaurant is also too expensive for what it is.
The location to the airport is only 100 DKK with taxi. It's old and well used, rooms needs to be restored. There was no shuttle bus??
Close to the airport Much noise from the road.
Good and clean hotel with free parking. Lack of elevator was surprising.
The location close to the airport. Small, but enoing things like, heat, wireless and remote control didnt work.
Quiet, perfect near airport location, good cost/quality, would recommend for business and leisure
Very efficient and not bureacratic. Clean. There was no refrigerator in the room.
Very clean. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Room too hot. Window opens only slightly, and right next to noisy, brightly lit road. To cool the room I had to open the window, and suffered from noise and light. Bed sags somewhat in middle. Pillow was lumpy, and no extra pillow. Duvet was too warm, but there was no alternative (no top sheet, no light blanket). In short, this was the worst sleeping experience I've had at a hotel in years.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good. The rooms were clean, but seemed somewhat old and in disrepair. Expected more for the price.
Very sleek design in the rooms. Contemporary and edgy in a very good way. Absolutely one of the best places to stay if you need the convenience of the airport nearby. Can only get there by taxi. No shuttle. Taxi cost approximately 100 Kroner. Breakfast choices very limited for the price. Better to get something at the airport.
Convenient; close to highway
It is a quiet place, located relatively close to the Copenhagen airport. During the winter season it is probably good to wear a warm night suite.
Built as quiet self-contained conference centre of moderate size. It has galleries and a library, many comfortable relaxing or reading spaces, plus bar. Very pleasant, spacious with nice rooms and good wifi. Friendly and interested staff. Good breakfast and lunch. First class restaurant, so not inexpensive.
Nice location, free parking and wi-fi, very good breakfast and the kindness of the staff in general.
The bed was old and noisy
The staff were very friendly and most helpful and the hotel had a lovely homey feel to it.
good guesthouse, nice staff and atmosphere.
So close to the airport that you are "home" inside 5 minutes and owner is just ready with anything you need
Bright sunny room with ocean view. Nice, slightly quirky house with plenty of character.
Wonderful recently renovated old house with a traditional Danish flair. Very nice furniture and modern bathroom, this hotel is located very close to Copenhague airport (5 min. only by car or 15 min. walking). Nevertheless the house is located in a quite area close to a park with beaches, no noise from planes to be heard. The staff is extremly friendly and dedicated, the breakfast more than fine. You will feel like at home ! At rush hours, the front street is quite noisy due to the heavy traffic from / to Copenhague downtown.
Good location (close to metro station and airport). Cordial attendance. Family house atmosphere. Noisy main road. Breakfast only basic.
excellent service, very nice and comfortable room. Very good dining and breakfast and good location to Copenhagen city center at a reasonable price.
Good restaurant. Suited me personally location wise. very nice breakfast.
the whole environment, the restaurant, the pizzeria in the neighborhood, the easy access to the railway station, the kindness of the staff and so on I liked my stay in Gentofte Hotel the TV set, a newer one is needed in the new rooms
Service exceptionally professional and personal. As a guest you feel like home.
The room comfort Limited choice of alternative reaturant, limited working time of the restaurant on Suday evening (9pm)
Simple hotel with comfortable room, good food and free internet The doors open out and several people nearly hit me coming out of their rooms.
The waiter serving me my dinner had a personal hygeine issue - basically he needed to use deodiderant.
Terrible bath room . Noise of renovation making by workers at 7 AM
Well located, renovated rooms
Limited menu, limited staff.
excellent staff, quiet room, clean very difficult to find entrance ... perhaps more signs needed
Front Desk staff were rude. First night when we arrived we asked for a luggage cart. The Front Desk Clerk gives us one that is broken. On top of that the elevator did not work with the key. Had to ride up to the front desk and switch elevators. Front Desk Clerk was more busy watching a movie than helping out. The next day we needed a luggage cart again. This Front Desk Clerk had the most outrageous response. She went to check in the closet for one. There was none. She came back and said "well there are none." I told her I had a lot of things to take down to the car so what would she recommend. Her response. Well you will just have to make many trips. Wow. That is all I can say to such a response. A most uncaring staff.
Good location; situated directly above two floors of shopping centre and hotel's parking floor, but the hotel itself is very quiet. Pleasant views from the hotel room windows. The balconies of the rooms are all connected like a corridor (might be good for a quick exit if there's a fire), so felt there was no privacy/security.
Close to public transport (effective in Copenhagen) and close to major roads as well. Quiet. Breakfast was good. the sink was almost completely blocked (room 721) and nobody came to fix it during our 4 days long stay despite I advised the desk.
Good breakfast, smart personel by reception, free parking in the basement, wi-fi internet inside of the rooms
A very good hotel considering value for money.
the location of hotel is great as it is located at the center of lyngby. few choices of TV channels
I have a good time in this hotel. It is really a good choice for travelling in Copenhagen.
Service and breakfast
The surroundings and castle (main building) are quite nice. Internet access was good. The location suited us as we needed to drive north and thus avoided the traffic. Whilst the main building has character, the accommodation is relatively simple. The location is far away from anything. Dinner (where you have no options either in location or menu) was completely overpriced. At breakfast the bacon/sausages were cold. The guest car park (you can't park in front of the castle) is in "forest", it was raining and the ground was muddy - useless with luggage and leather shoes.
The old building and its park environs. Breakfast. Other food when it was available. Staff was helpful in the circumstances; like 2-4pm checkin! Danish guests have liked the opportunity to visit its traditional persona as a palace. Location means not practicable without a car. No proper restaurants to walk to. In the hotel, restaurant not open unless enough guests are there. No simple luggage rack, minimal wardrobe. Considering no possibility for even a snack, why no jug, glass, cup etc if one has to bring own food to the room or starve? Has been attention to the place, but without small things it's not user-friendly.
i liked the calm atmosphere, tours in the park, the way the castle looked. old, but well maintained no
Nice surroundings on a very special spot: an old fort
The room was very spacious, with windows you could open, 2 big comfortable chairs, lots of head room, a desk, hot water to make instant coffee, a safe, TV and internet, and it was very quiet. Right next to the water, in the unusual setting of a fort, with lots of easy parking. Clean bathroom, all tiled, with a shower that was easy to use. No shower curtain, but it wasn't needed. The owner and others who were there to help us out, were very nice and friendly. Decent value for the money, in something that was a little different and only 15 minutes to Copenhagen, Dragor itself is an interesting community. We arrived after 17:00, so needed to call to have someone come and show us to our room. Not a big issue, just something to note when you arrive at night, after a long day of driving. Someone was there within 5 minutes. At first it seemed so dark and not welcoming, but we soon settled in, and came to quite like it.
The location is excellent for those who are visiting Copenhaga by car. The room is confortable and clean. Very good raport quality price. The hotel is about 7 km from the city, there is a bus you can take from 3 minutes from the hotel, but it could be tricky if you plann staying in town till late.
1. Close to Copenhagen
We have stayed there before and enjoy its originality and the personality of the owner. We originally chose it because we needed to find a hotel or guesthouse in Dragor (our boat was there) and this was very reasonable and "different". Previously we had stayed in a private house which was not so ideal. The location of the hotel suited our purposes and we would go there again. The owner has gradually been doing up the rooms. On the this most recent occasion our room, although perfectly clean and comfortable, could have been improved in one or two aspects.
Very nice big room with good facilities, good original features in the corridor Poor check in since there is no one at the reception all day long, the side entrance which I was supposed to use looked like a garbage bin, with an old fridge and stained carpets, terrible smell in the corridors
Nice location. Interesting history. Charming building A bit messy around the hotel: broken entrance gate etc... Could offer a small guided tour of the fortress for new guests
Very nice staff. Great place, spacious rooms, high standard. Nice location, next to the sea. Wi-Fi. Basic breakfast, no TV.
Not the avreage bubusiness hotel. I liked the special ambiance, Old fort, great location, very friendly staff. If you want something special, go for it They organize big parties on the facility. This might be noisy.
The owner was a nice chap. The hotel was totally empty and we were the only guests, we checked in and checked out within 15 mins, The hotel is probably haunted (for Real).
