The hotel and the rooms were very well kept and the whole place had a very stylish feel to it, which was good considering the relatively low price we paid. Very near to the cool Queens Quarter and the lovely Botanic Gardens, although some distance from the town centre. The staff were very friendly helpful. Although the breakfast choice consisted of continental fair, with no cooked option, there was plenty to choose from. There were several minor things that were a little bit disappointing, such as there being a plug socket hanging off the wall which looked pretty dangerous; there was no toilet roll holder: the shower wasn't great (no water pressure): and the door to the room was really tricky to open. As I say, not major things, but added up they all added up. The thing that was most disappointing was the noise! We were at a room at the front of the house which looked onto a busy main road, which at night was so noisy with people leaving pubs and clubs etc that me and my girlfriend found it really hard to sleep. Maybe a little double glazing and moving the bed away from the window would help calm the noise.
Staff helpful Front room on busy street. Emergency vehicles and shouting in the street during the night.
I was satisfied with all aspects
Staff very helpful and friendly Plumbing noisy and toilet flush poor
Staff very friendly and approachable. location good for university and city centre and not too noisy. Single room very small and bathroom on next floor up.
the staff were lovely, and the breakfast was nice, even though it's unusual not ot have the option of a full irish breakfast in a B&B! Bed was not made up on second day.
Friendly, casual and really great sized room. Nice ensuite. Free internet access! Regular easy-to-use buses into the city. I had to leave too early for the included breakfast but the dining room looked nice and the owner offered to pre-prepare me some cereal and juice the night before instead. Not the Hotel's fault but an issue for the area in general - there are some pubs nearby and I stayed Saturday night and when the pubs shut there is a fair amount of noise on the street by exiting patrons. Fortunately I was too tired to care and slept OK anyway.
The staff were truly lovely -- very helpful and kind. Comfy and stylish decor. Fantastic location.
Pleasant walk into the city centre. Plus the open-top tourbus stops nearby!! Close to pubs that can be a bit noisy at the weekend.
i love the staff , the people were so nice and friendly and always there to help. i liked everything and i hope to be back in march and stay in the same guesthouse again.
It was a nice relaxed atmosphere, everyone was very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were lovely The only thing was that the hot water wasn't very hot some nights. One night it was just tepid.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good. We liked the staff. The room was cold. We forgot to bring a hot water bottle. the room had three windows and was cold.
Very friendly, family run Guest House. The rooms have been upgraded and modernised since our last visit 2 years ago.Irish breakfast was great There was no alarm clock in the bedroom, but we forgot to check if the TV had this facility.
Hospitality, proximity to marina & town, and of course the breakfast. The single attic room I stayed in had very noisy pipework (water) running through the room.
Excellent breakfasts - very tasty!
As is the norm in all of Ireland, I found everybody to be very friendly, polite and helpful. It all added up to a very pleasant stay. I didn't like the fact that I only had three nights there. Longer would have been good.
Owner and staff very friendly and obliging. Good room and excellent ensuite Nothing
Very friendly manageress, sea view Room had basic decor. / furnishings, in need of minor repairs and modernisation.
We had the family room very spacious and clean
the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. The location was very central for Bangor.
